The accommodations are perfect and as expected. In walking distance to Black Rock, Whaler's Village, and many other restaurants. Would recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again.

We enjoyed the property for the big living space, nice kitchen appliances, boogie board and beach chairs available. The property was close to the beach and not too far from Whalers village or other restaurants.
The air conditioning unit was out(not the owners fault). It took 3 days to fix and then made a lot of noise. Fans were provided which helped.
The front desk people were helpful, and we made use of the daily coffee service in the lobby.

Couldn’t recommend this property more between the location/amenities/cleanliness and comfort we didn’t want to leave. Location: the ocean with great snorkeling and whale watching is steps from your living room. Amenities: we enjoyed walking over to Castaways for breakfast in the morning and there is a beach rental shop to rent paddle boards/ kayaks on the property as well, Captain Steve is a great source for where spots to snorkel. Comfort: extremely comfortable and cozy condo. Beautiful furniture and artwork/ comfortable couch and extremely comfortable bed. We are very grateful for our time in Maui and hope to be blessed to stay in this condo on our next visit.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this condo and resort! The ocean view from the condo is exactly as pictured on the photographs and I loved waking up to it every morning and eating breakfast on the small balcony. The location and beach cannot be beat! We loved how close it was to everything in West Maui and enjoyed snorkeling right outside the resort. The resort is lush and beautiful and the pool/lounge chairs were never crowded. I would definitely recommend this property!

It was our first time for my husband and I to visit Hawaii. Barbara’s Condo was perfect for our visit.
We went snorkeling every day on the beach across from the Unit, saw plenty of fish and swam with turtles! Easy walk to Whaler’s Village where you can find plenty of Restaurants. It was nice to enjoy breakfast watching the Ocean. We even saw a whale one morning! Getting free coffee every day in the lobby was lovely! I loved having a kitchen for the times we didn’t feel like going out. Barbara was the perfect host giving us detailed information about everything we needed to know.

This is a great location. The two pools and beach access are nice and the space is very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and were close to a friend’s wedding. I didn’t spend much time on the lanai because we were too busy but that might feel a little noisy for some for is proximity to the road but it’s a really great spot. We had friend who reserved ocean front but liked our beach access better.

This condo was beautiful! It accommodated our family of 4 perfectly. The main bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The pullout couch fit our two kids (8 & 12) wonderfully!
I loved the openness of this condo with the sliding glass doors. It was bright and cheerful. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the utensils we needed. It was an easy and short walk to the pool and beach.
MKV is our favorite place to stay. It’s beyond charming and has the best beach, friendly staff, is kept clean and never feels crowded.
We would definitely stay at this condo again! Our kids said it was the best vacation they’d ever had. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

We really enjoyed our time in Maui and loved the Villas! We were disappointed the laundry facility and workout room wasn’t fully functioning but didn’t mind the air conditioning was out. I had no warning nor follow up on multiple requests for communication about the air conditioning being broken. I walked into a boiling hot room with afternoon sun. I had to use box fans rotated throughout the day to keep it cool enough to sleep at night. The 2 of 3 vents by the front door were broken, limiting my ability to ventilate. The stopper on the front door didn’t work so I couldn’t get cool air in that way.
The layout, kitchen, view and balcony were great. Just should have had a response or been given a discount for my stay.

This was a lovely place to stay! The property owner was very responsive to any concerns or questions. Highlight was whale watching! We saw humpback whales from the property. Great location. The unit is very nice, great for 2 adults. The pullout bed is just fine. The larger property has 2 swimming pools and we found the one near us to be super warm and inviting, and almost unused! The nearby beach has great snorkeling, we saw several sea turtles. We saw whales from along the walkway; there's a great walkway running from Dukes to the north down to Whaler's village in the south with access to many restaurants and shops without driving. It doesn't have some of the amenities of the huge resorts nearby but it's also 1/3 the price. Have a great time, spend less money! If we return to Maui, we'll happily stay here again!

Our experience with this VRBO was terrible. We went to check in after a long day of traveling and the hotel had no reservations for us with any room. The hotel tried calling the property manager many times and never got a hold of him. I tried calling and sending a message but also got no response. They figured out what room we were in based on the listing pictures. We got up to our room and the place did not seem to have been cleaned. The bathrooms were gross, the kitchen had garbage still in the trash and the floors everywhere were dirty. We absolutely loved the location but did not enjoy working with this property manager. Will not stay here again.

My husband and I just spent 12 days at Barbara's place and it was everything the photo's show and more. The property is right on the beach with miles to walk on paths or sand in either direction. It's close to Whalers Village Shops and many restaurants & cafes. We never used the trolley but it was running all the time - great option!
We enjoyed the properties pool with attached restaurant and bar (live music several nights) and time on the beach (chairs and umbrella in unit) or the property chairs in the grass. There's swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding on the beach right infront so although there's lots to explore on the island, you don't need to go anywhere.
The sunset views were stunning from the beach or the room and it was whale season so we saw whales everyday!! - That was amazing!
The room was perfect! Well stocked, great location and huge windows. Groceries were conveniently close. Barbara was a great host. Always accommodating (thank you for the late check out) and quick to reply.

Stayed MKV before so knew location and amenities were great. Central AC for entire complex was out starting in late January. Would prefer that Hawaii Life had disclosed that when they found out. Probably would not have changed anything since we had made full payment by then. Replacement AC units were supplied but were noisy so we did not use them. Love the old school vibe of location/property..plenty of grass and pool space without the crowds of the mega resorts.

We wouldn’t hesitate to return again. The location was great – within walking distance of everything we needed. The condo was nice, clean, the beds and furniture were comfortable, and the kitchen provided all we wanted (it’s nice to have a full-size refrigerator). The hosts were awesome. We don’t have a lot of experience with VRBO rentals, but Allen and Lora were easily the most responsive hosts that we have had. They even provided some welcoming treats and a lei for Valentine’s Day!
We knew the building air conditioning was not working before we arrived. It was warm the first few afternoons. But, the hosts were accommodating and the condo has a ceiling, pedestal, and table fans. With some outside wind, there is good cross ventilation within the unit, such that we were comfortable thereafter.
The resort itself is attractive and clean. The complementary morning coffee was great. We never had a problem finding empty lounge chairs around the pool. We gave Castaways bar/restaurant business nearly every day. The only complaint was that the laundry was closed and there were no drinking fountains in the building.

Great condo for 4 people, more than 4 is too many. Property management company was amazing to work with! AC is down in the unit and building. The laundry room is currently closed and no in unit washer/dryer. The gym was closed when we were there as well. Overall, great stay and would stay at MKV again, a bigger unit next time for sure!

We stayed here with our family, two adults and two teens. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property and the owners who made our stay absolutely spectacular!
I spent a considerable amount of time searching places to stay on Maui and this spot is absolutely perfect! Maui ka’anapali villas is the perfect combination of a lagoon style, pool, hot tub, and swimmable beachfront with a restaurant and pool bar on site.
This unit in particular is I think the best value on the entire island! You’ve got a spectacular view of Molokai from every room, even ocean views, and essentially the entire time you look out your windows, you feel like you’re in paradise! The resort is secluded, quiet, in between all of the big populated beaches, has a beachfront stand for rentals , and on-site restaurant that is amazing which we ate at several times during our stay!
Most importantly, the communication with the owners has been outstanding! They have responded every time we had a request and even had fans on blowing with windows open in the room when we arrived. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in and we’ve considered asking what type of mattress they have because we’d like to get one for home!
Above all, the owners have thought of everything! They’ve got a blender, pitchers, every kitchen utensil you could imagine to help you save money when you’re in Maui and Dining is so expensive!
Essentially, we never want to leave!

The lanai was perfect for watching the sunset and we saw whales off the coast at every meal. The unit was spacious for two people, and we enjoyed our early mornings and early bedtimes very much since it was so quiet!

The thing I like most about this unit was it location. Right across from the pool, close to the beach, and on the walking trail. The thing that was most unappealing was the air conditioner was not working and the washer and dryer is not in the unit, but in another building, which was also not working. I would go back, but not until the air conditioning is fixed. It would’ve been helpful to know this before we arrived.

Would definitely stay again as we love main floor rentals as the Lanai’s are much larger.
Also for us we love this side of the resort, never in direct sun.
