This condo was perfect for our family of 4! The views of the ocean and mountain are jaw dropping beautiful. The kitchen has everything one could need. The Alii concierge was helpful, and we took their advice to have groceries delivered before our arrival. The owners provided good communication and info. Our only regret: we didn’t stay longer!Beach chairs are provided complimentary, a very nice touch.

The Alii is the best place on Kaanapali-especially if you want to be ableTo cook for yourself at least some of the trip! This is the first time we stayed in beachfront unit, and it’s fantastic to have the sense you’re right in the beach when sitting in the lanai. The kitchen amenities were a bit lacking, the knives in sad shape-but other than that can’t complain!!

This was an amazing condo right on the beach and perfect location to Whalers Village and great restaurants at the hotels next door. Perfect for our family of four! Margaret was a fantastic host - quick to answer questions, the condo had everything we needed and she welcomed us with local treats when we arrived. The resort staff was wonderful too. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay! The unit was very spacious and perfectly suited for our family of four, though it would easily accommodate a larger group as well. It was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The highlight was definitely the balcony, which offered exceptional views of both the pool and the beach. Highly recommended!

Better than we expected! One of the best VRBOs we’ve ever stayed in, fully stocked for our entire week better than a hotel-paper products, detergent, toiletries, all the comforts of home. The view was amazing, plenty of space and clean. Only possible improvement was we couldn’t find oven mitts in kitchen & primary bedroom mattress was a little lumpy (but we still slept great). I’d definitely stay here again. We had one issue (couldn’t figure out how to lock balcony doors) & the communication via text and phone was excellent. The pool and beach are lovely, we enjoyed the “quiet pool” & the bbq/patio area with tv and fresh water was nice. Great location-easily walkable to other resorts and Whaler’s village. Plenty of parking in garage. Five stars!

We had a wonderful stay here with our family, including our children and my mom.Just as others have noted, the unit could use some updating and there were a few areas showing their age, however it didn’t effect our stay and the condo was incredibly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable!The location is fantastic. We spent time at both the pool and beach every single day, and having beach toys available for the kids was such a thoughtful touch that they absolutely loved. The in-unit laundry was also a huge convenience, especially when traveling with children.The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and everything needed to prepare meals, which allowed us to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout our trip.One of the highlights was the communication with our host, Regan. She was lovely to work with, extremely responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish.Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again. The cleanliness, location, amenities, and excellent host made for a wonderful family vacation. Mahalo for a great stay!

This condo has everything you could possibly need and is in a prime location. Some very minor repairs/updates need to be taken care of but overall a fantastic stay - clean condo, comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, incredible on-site amenities, etc. One evening we had a vibrant rainbow to our right, stunning sunset over the ocean to our left, and the Westin luau directly below us. A night to remember for sure!

Beautiful ocean front condo. Be aware that the king bed room has a big step in tub. I missed that when choosing. And there are steps down in to the king bed room and down into kitchen and down into living area. Just be aware if you have little kids or older people.

Wonderful unit that was very clean and well maintained. Host was very helpful and the bellmen at reception were great with helping with our luggage and grocery delivery. Only suggestion I have is maybe a few spices, some plastic wrap, foil or a few ziplock bags would be helpful in the otherwise well set up kitchen. We look forward to returning next year

We love Kaanapali Alii. This was our 2nd stay there. Great location. Easy to walk to Whaler’s village, black rock and luaus. Beautiful beach and pool. Check in and out was easy. Elevators were fast. Only thing that would make it better would of been a grill and bar at the pool.

Wonderful unit. Located on the ground floor near the walking path to the pool & beach. Very quiet with an amazing bed and AC that works well. Easy walk to shopping, several restaurants, and black rock for snorkeling. A few steps out the door and you are on the beach. Minor issue with an appliance that the host/owner notified us before we arrived and resolved. This was our second time renting the unit and hope to again someday! Kaanapali beach area is amazing.

We had a wonderful stay and were so glad we chose this unit. Being on the first floor ended up being incredibly convenient for access, and while I was initially a bit nervous about it facing the Westin and a nearby walking path, those concerns quickly disappeared. The lush, beautiful greenery surrounding the unit created a quiet, peaceful, and surprisingly private setting, even more so than I think we would have had on a higher floor.The owner was communicative at check in and responsive when we had a question, which we appreciated.We love staying at the Alii property when we visit Maui. It is absolutely beautiful, with pools that are perfect for all ages and very friendly staff. Beach towels and chairs are readily available and provided by the staff. We especially love how walkable everything is. There is easy access to nearby restaurants and a short walk to Black Rock Beach for snorkeling, which makes the location ideal.We would absolutely rent this unit again!

The 2 bedroom unit was beautiful. We had an ocean front view and it was so nice to have a cup of coffee in the morning and finish your evening with a glass of wine on the balcony.We were so lucky to see whales from our balcony.It was 5 minutes to whaler village and many places to eat along the way. We walked to black rock to snorkel.The condo had everything you needed. It was expensive, but it made it affordable to split the cost for our girls trip. I would recommend staying at this condo.Aloha

Overall we enjoyed our stay on the property and would recommend it. There were some pros and cons. The good things were that the location was fabulous right on the beach, along the kanapaali walk way which meant it was easy to get to restaurants and shopping, go for a nice walk, or enjoy different parts of the beach. We had a beautiful view, and liked sitting out on the balcony. The unit was modern and the master bedroom and bathroom were great. We were happy to have a full size washer and dryer too. It was handy to be able to get towel service for the pool and beach at the pool kiosk. Late checkout was appreciated.However there were some minor issues too that deserve mention. The biggest problem was that one of the elevators was down and so the entire huge buildings 3&4 relied on a single elevator. This was annoying as it meant often waiting several times to get on, as people were coming with luggage, strollers. No one was there to fix it during our ten days and we got the impression it was a long term problem.The unit itself had a couple problems with the second bedroom: the A/C wasn’t working and the toilet had water running continuously. The unit itself is modern but it was renovated about ten years ago and is showing signs of needing a paint refresh from banged up walls, a furniture refresh, and a deep clean (in closets and drawers etc). We communicated these problems and the hosts were always quick to respond and I gather this will be fixed before the next guests.

Very enjoyable vacation, great location with plenty of activities and restaurants within walking distance. Condo was as advertised, has vintage decor with updated appliances, but condo was clean and everything worked great. Condo offers very good value as long as the vintage 90’s decor doesn’t bother you. Large lanai to enjoy meals and watch morning sunrise over the mountains. Plenty of beach toys for the kids. Overall we had an excellent stay and Regan was great. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Great location, beach, restaurants and shopping all within easy walking distance. My grandkids loved the beach and pools and the outdoor cooking/grilling area is very nice for groups to meet for dinner. We had a few gliches due to flooding and rainy weather but those issues were resolved in a timely manner. Highly recommend!!!

This was our 4th stay at Kaanapali Alii and can say that the location of this room, on the ground level, was one of our favorites. There were also many household items that were useful for us that some of the other condos have not had. We also felt that the beds were the most comfortable we've experience there as well. Overall, a very wonderful stay for our family of four and would book this place again.

We had a great stay! Condo is on the 10th floor with excellent views of the mountains and a partial ocean view, and we loved meals out on the deck. The unit had everything we needed - lots of beach toys, chairs, umbrella. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We were unfortunately caught there during the intense storm that Hawai’i experienced. Regan and all of the hotel staff were very responsive and as supportive as possible. They worked hard to make sure we still enjoyed our trip, and we did!

After a wild few days of Kona low storms, the Ali’i experienced a few maintenance issues including a hot water malfunction, a main line water break, a flooded elevator, and pool closure due to storms. We received notification of each issue and approximately when the issues would be resolved. Unit was nicely organized and furnished. Beds were comfortable. We will hope to come back again when the weather is better.
