We are a family of 4 (2 young teen boys), and have traveled a decent amount. This was far and away the most beautiful, luxurious, and spacious condo we've ever stayed. The decor and finishings throughout were expertly thought out and very high end. Spacious storage throughout made for a clutter free week. The condo was stocked with anything you could possibly need and more.
Moving onto the resort as a whole, it is very quaint and quiet. The courtyards were lush with well-manicured walkways. The resort didn't have an elaborate lobby or pool, but I was much happier with the smaller, more remote feel (even though you are are a short walk to Whalers Village with numerous dining and shopping options).
The beach was amazing. Great sunsets and the way our pool area integrated with the beach to allow for views from the sand or pool side were amazing. The grill area was always clean and towels were readily available each day as well as chair towels.
The front desk and concierge were very helpful and friendly. We did an instacart order and they brought our groceries up 11 floors without asking them to. The concierge helped navigate us to amazing snorkeling spots and gave us tips on the way to the top of Haleakala. My son also lost his stuffed animal souviener and the front desk heard about this and gave him a stuffed turtle to cheer him up.
All around the room, the owners (who were extremely responsive) and the entire Kaalapali area was a full 10 out of 10.

The accommodations were very comfortable with pretty much everything we needed almost like being home. Everything was good other than owners of another unit that were very rude, confrontational and abusive with foul language to my daughter & her husband in the parking structure over where they parked which wasn’t even their space. According to staff we talked with this couple is well known for this kind of behavior and I believe the condo board they said are forcing them out. Perfect stay other than them.

Days later, at 9 am, a Lahaina contractor arrived to install blinds in a bedroom with no prior notice at all. After the contractor was already here, RPM Katie called requesting access for them, which we were completely unprepared for. Unsecured personal items, money, clothing were all laying out. We declined and RPM Katie still gave the installer approval to continue. When we didn’t let him in the room, she charged us a $250 contractor rescheduling fee. We disputed the charge with VRBO and won. Our recommendation after having to change plans and spend hours dealing with the poor communication, inexperience or incompetence of the RPM Katie, is to look for rental properties that are truly locally managed. What an amazing stay we had here! The apartment is located at a wonderful resort, steps from the beach. 11th-floor views of ocean and hills. Nice deck. Lots of room, all the comforts and practical provisions one could hope for. We did only a little cooking but the grills downstairs were excellent. Beds super comfortable. Air conditioning was perfect. Whole place very clean. Kitchen adequately equipped. Great tv/cable, and adequate wifi. Very easy check in. Easy parking. We felt very safe the whole time. We had rented 3 units in Kaanapali Alii. The summary said 2 bedroom when it really is a converted den into the second bedroom in all units. The people staying in the den had very little privacy - no closet in one den as well, only dresser drawers. Another den had no bathroom attached, and the third did not have a tv.
Air conditioner didn't work, tv cable box needed to be replaced, fan in living room needed a new motor. Carpet was dirty, refrigerator needed a filter and toilet didn't flush and had to be repaired immediately. I was texting and calling for repairs every day. So disappointing and not worth the money paid for the rooms with these issues.

Had an amazing time in this beautiful 2 bedroom suite with a partial view of the ocean. Used the provided beach chairs which was great to have. Pool and BBQ’s were great. Quick beautiful walk to Whaler’s Village. Only minor issue was there was no Saran Wrap, foil or baggies to use but otherwise kitchen was well stocked. We will be coming back with family.

Great property! The “master” is in 2 sections. One has 2 beds and another section is separated with another bed. Those 3 areas are connected to the master bath. The other sleeping area has one bed connected to a private bath in the room. I don't even know where to start, this place was just perfect. Beautiful view from the lanai, HVAC provides complete comfort, wifi is strong and stable, plenty of seating both inside and outside the condo, beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were roomy and great water pressure, and condo is stocked with enough dry goods essentials to get you through a few days until you can get to the store. (I have the Safeway app, so I had our groceries and dry goods delivered.) Location could not be better. Easy walk to Whaler's Village outdoor shopping mall, numerous snorkel/day-cruise pick-ups, and Black Rock Beach. Amazing snorkeling at BRB, but we also saw marine life while snorkeling at the beach right outside the condo. The beach area outside the condo resort was never crowded. This was also the easiest VRBO check-out process I've ever experienced in my 10+ years of using Homeaway, VRBO, etc. Owners were very responsive to every question I had from the moment I requested to book the property. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sadly, we did not have a good experience with this owner. We checked in at 5:30pm (4pm is check-in). When we walked in, we were horrified.The room was a mess of trash, alcohol, dishes, and dirty bedding. Even the bellhop was shocked.
When we finally reached the owner, he acted annoyed with us for bugging him. He blamed his on-island contact and wasn’t apologetic or even empathetic that we were standing in the hallway with luggage, groceries, 2 little kids and 2 elderly grandparents in tow. He wasn’t sure when someone would be there to clean or how long it would take them. He couldn’t give us a time and told us just to keep checking back. I asked him if he could call to let us know when ready and he *reluctantly* agreed but was clearly annoyed with being asked. Finally at 9:35pm, 5.5hrs after check-in time, he sent a text. “Hi Alii 451 condo, just talked to my cleaner and they are done.” No phone call, no apology. He was rude. We requested a refund for that first night since we couldn’t get in. He agreed but it felt like he just wanted us to stop bugging him. If he had been at all apologetic on the phone or even just a bit nicer, we could have laughed about it.
As for the unit, it has a nice view. There is some maintenance (light bulbs out, loose towel rack, screen door, etc.) but these things on their own are no big deal.
The property is nice and the beach is close. I would caution you from renting from this owner and suggest you rent from someone else at the property.

I have stayed in many Vrbo properties but this one topped them all! I had open communication with the owner and manager. In fact, the house manager checked in with me throughout the week to make sure everything was perfect. You can walk to shops, restaurants, the beach, or the pool. I had two teenagers and they were always busy doing something. My husband and daughter walked to the golf course to play a round of golf too. I have already recommended this property to my friends. Unit issues-tv's did not work in all rooms all remotes were missing batteries and covers took 3 days to fix.
I was on the phone with the vendor for an hour , they told me the TV box in master needed to be relaced. They never came to replace it. These items should have been taken care of prior to anyone leasing.
Had only 1 extra blanket for 3 bedrooms would have been nice to have one for each bedroom.
On a good note we loved our stay and would come back in the future, the staff was amazing! I would recommend to stay here anytime.

The property is amazing! It is well decorated with comfy beds, furniture, well appointed kitchen and plenty of towels and supplies. The primary suite/bathroom is huge. You can hear people outside the windows but normally it was pretty quiet. The second room lacks privacy because of the sliding shutter doors but it worked well for our family. You can hear noise from people in the hallway outside. We discovered by accident that the sofa does turn into a bed.
There is a cooler, a couple beach chairs, pool noodles/floaties, snorkel gear, sand toys and board games.
The property has beach chairs to use for free and umbrellas to rent. The beach and pool are just steps from the sliding doors through the grass and gardens. The waves can bash you about a bit at the shore but it’s calm just a bit further out. The pool can get busy but at other times we were the only ones there. The BBQ area is nice. We used the Grill Master to cook us steaks and veggies and he charged us $40 as a “tip- service fee” when I thought it was a free service. It was delicious though.
It’s an easy 5-10 minute to walk to Whalers Village for shopping and food. It’s about a 15 minute walk to Black Rock for snorkeling. Although we thought the best snorkeling is at Airport Beach just a 5 minute drive up the coast. Walk in, put your face in the water and see a variety of fish!

Pros: location, style, cleanliness, well appointed with lots of plates, glasses, silverware, pans, blender etc.
Cons: super loud, you can hear anyone and everyone outside in the hall and the walls are paper thin. The 2nd bedroom smells like mildew as the shower in that bedroom doesn’t have an exhaust. I had to fix the toilet in that bedroom (you’re welcome) because it kept running. The doors also wouldn’t close/lock and when we finally got it to lock, we couldn’t unlock it. So half of the barn door stayed closed the whole trip.
If you have a baby, I wouldn’t stay here if they’re light sleepers.
Overall the condo is nice, bright and well appointed. But for the price (I think we spent 12k for a week) I guess i expected it to be better built.

The property was everything that we could have asked for. The location was perfect and the views were amazing. My wife and I chose the property for us, our two small children, and her parents. It was the perfect size and kid friendly. The pool amenities were great for the kids and adults. I only gave 4 stars on cleanliness because one of the beds had long black hair in the sheets and a wad of hair was on the shower wall when we checked in. This is all about location, the view from your room goes over the garage and clay courts. There is some noise daily from garbage trucks and a bit of car alarm noise.
The rooms were nice and large, the water pressure in the showers is crazy strong which is great after getting out of the ocean with the sand. The location is perfect as it is really the only place that doesn't have sidewalk along the ocean so going on our early walks in the morning we didn't have to worry about walking in the sand.
The concierge was not very helpful, most of the stuff you can just book on any website. No specials offered at their desks.
If this is going to be a first trip or special trip to Hawaii I would avoid this location and get an ocean view. We have been to Hawaii dozens of times so it was nice and relaxing in the back of the building(with the exception of the garbage man daily).
There were a few socks and underwear left in the laundry room, and there was a platter that had food on it in the kitchen cupboard that we avoided. A bit more detail when cleaning would be nice..
Last thing, if you're going to give free coffee, please leave some coffee filters too.. ;)

The property is exactly as shown on the site - and perhaps even better! It is a corner unit with a large balcony that is right on the ocean. The unit itself comfortably sleeps 6 people and has a large kitchen with recently updated appliances. This is a high-end condo complex of 6 buildings, and this unit is in the best of them - just a few steps to the beach with a West-facing view that is the most desirable in Kaanapali. The pool/grill area is kept super-clean by the attentive staff and is as elaborate as any of the luxury hotels along the beach. We were able to snorkel with sea turtles less than 50 feet off shore directly in front of the building, in addition to walking to Black Rock for the cliff diving. We will be back to this exact unit!

The condo is very nice.
My only problem with it was the lack of cleanliness. There is mold on the vents and it made me break out in hives every morning.
The Other problem is that you cannot get any help from the front desk for anything. We have stayed on this property in Maui over the past 10 years and this is the only condo where I have encountered this!
I will only stay in units that have a relationship with the front desk in The future. Anyone coming here spends way too much money to not have the ability to receive help when needed!

Great location in Kaanapali. The unit was great to stay in. There are small details that prevent a 5 stars review. Loved the good size washer and dryer and all the included amenities in the unit and in the property (great fitness center). Would rent this unit again.

My husband and I went to Maui with our 18 year old son. We had an amazing vacation. The unit was beautiful and had everything we needed. You can see the Westin luau from the balcony and wonderful sunsets. Hope to be able to stay here again. It was amazing!!

Very nice condos. Access to beach and pools and nice walking path along beach. A little trouble with repairs- toilet water ran nonstop for nine days, but they said they couldn’t get the part. Perhaps that’s common on the island - not sure. Could have used a few more kitchen casserole type dishes. But believe me, Overall we had a wonderful family reunion.

This property was just perfect for our family stay. Plenty of room, easy access to the pool and beach, and incredibly clean. We utilized the grills in the common area, which were where the best sunset watching was! The resort has body boards, tennis racquets and more to rent, and the condo itself has 2-3 adult snorkeling gear. The condo had all the cooking equipment you could need, and plenty of room to cook. Restaurants are within east walking distance, as well.

The condo has beautiful views from dining area and balcony, a good layout, a sink in laundry room, plenty of closet space and a little closet with 'extras'. There are grills near the pool with an herb garden that are maintained by staff and a utility closet with some condiments and utensils. Free coffee at the cabana at the pool in the mornings. Great location near the Black Rock that is great for snorkeling. Great sidewalk to walk on up and down the beach, not completely continuous. I would stay there again.

The stay was perfect. The only really minor thing that happened that wasn’t perfect was that one of the blinds broke (we couldn’t open it) but we called the management company and they sent someone out right away (on the Sunday of a holiday weekend) and fixed it. Perfection. Highly recommend this unit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your place in Maui. It's a beautiful place and so centrally located to many fun things to do. Beds were extremely comfortable and thermostats in each bedroom as well as the common space was a plus. The view was nice and the 30 second walk to the beach was also a plus. We would definitely stat again.

The location of this property is amazing. Front and center on the beach and 5 min walk to shops and resturants. The two main downfalls of this property, the master bedroom is in the back of the condo with a tennis court view while the guest room is oceanfront. Terrible layout and it should state this in the description. Also, property needs a facelift. The furniture is old, the paint is chipped and decor is dated. Although we didn’t spend much time in the condo, for the cost I believe it should’ve been up to date. All in all, we would stay at the resort again but choose a different condo.

Unbeatable views from every room! Staff was friendly, manager Bonnie responded promptly to questions and issues . The pools and beaches are great ! Love how close it is to whalers village and all the restaurants. Very spacious for 5 adults . Will definitely book this again . The views are just amazing
