This is a beautiful property….the condo itself was perfect for our family of 5. Our 16 and 17 year old boys slept in the double room and our 10 year old son slept on the pull out sofa bed in the living room…we loved the ability to walk out the patio doors straight to the pool and beach as well….the Kaanapali alii is perfectly situated close to whalers village but just far enough away from most of the crowds. We would definitely recommend this property!

The lawn leading out to the pool and beach area was perfect for our grandson to run and play. Many beautiful sunsets were viewed from the lanai as well as a few sunrises! When we arrived we were unsure of how we would like the property, we quickly discovered it was absolutely perfect. Easy access to the beach, shops, area restaurants, on site pools and hot tubs, and the provided BBQ area. With all of that we still had a sense of privacy with a nice grassy area off the porch.
Unit itself was nice, clean, and comfortable. We are looking forward to going back!

This was a great resort for families or couples. We had our whole family and children ages 7-21 with us and it was great for all. Very clean and friendly and close to Whalers Village. We loved this resort and will be back soon.

The unit was everything that the pictures online show and more. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make simple breakfasts, tropical blended drinks, or a gourmet dinner. Having the grill just a short walk from the unit is a bonus. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. From the lanai, you can hear the waves crashing and see the ocean.
Although the ocean walk path that goes through the property is closed because of beach erosion (can't stop Mother Nature), access to the beach and beach path is easily accessible on either end of the property, just not directly from the pool area.
The property has a great gym, and tennis courts and is a short drive from pickleball courts.
Located in the heart of Kaanapali Beach, almost everything on the beach is a 5-15 minute walk.
We specifically wanted a ground-floor unit this unit did not disappoint. We will be back.

Good size condo with comfortable beds. The condo had a bit of a funny smell to it, could do with a good airing out. Toilet made a gurgle sound when flushing and sometimes needed to be flushed a few times.

I would definitely stay at the Kaanapali Alii again! The resort was beautiful and all accommodations were clean. We saw staff watering landscape and grooming the property all day long and they were polite and not invasive to your privacy in any way. The location is fantastic. You can walk the beach path to other resorts and the Whaler's village of shops and restaurants is walking distance. The condo we rented was beautiful and newly renovated just as the pictures showed. I have only positive comments about the Alii and my first Vrbo experience!!

This home is perfect for a family. Plenty of room to relax. Wonderful lanai to relax on when drinking coffee in the morning. Ground floor, corner lot ideal for easy access to the pool and beach. Walking to restaurants is a plus.
The home has spices and oil for cooking. Keurig for coffee. Great plastic storage containers for left overs and a small cooler for the pool. Be sure to make an evening available to grill by the pool. A staff member is there to assist and even grill for you (be sure to tip him).
The grounds are immaculate and the poolside staff are very kind and eager to help.
Would absolutely stay in this condo again!

Great place for families. We’ve been to Maui a few times and love this location and the proximity to Whalers Village. The condo itself is very well kept and stocked with some of the extras like oil, spices, q-tips, Band Aides, etc…things you don’t think about when you’re going on a trip.

Enjoyed this unit very much. There were four of us and my 13 month old grandson. It was so convenient to go to the pool and come back to the condo which was right there off the grass area. Unit was very clean and the furniture and kitchen inside is beautiful. We will definitely return to this unit. Bonnie Chadwick was wonderful and she made the reservation process very easy. I will definitely recommend the Beach Rentals West Maui group to friends who are traveling to the island.

This was a perfect, family friendly condo, beautiful place, great kitchen well stocked for cooking. Incredible access to beach, pools, lawn. Coffee every morning and cocktails at night on this lanai watching the sunset were amazing! Low key resort, great for family with young kids, we also loved the tennis court. Staff was excellent. Couldn’t have loved our stay more, quiet at night, a relaxing and peaceful week. Great proximity to Whalers village, we walked there for lunch and coffee. We will for sure be back, if you are on the fence, book this place ASAP!

We loved the pools, the large grilling area, the huge covered patio with big screen tv’s, the many lounge chairs to choose from (never having to go out early to “save” chairs), the beautiful landscaping and tropical plants and so much more. There are many good things about this property, but also a few cons.....very slight cons:
Pros:
Location: couldn't be better!
Parking: a total breeze.....plenty of parking every time
Being on the ground floor with direct access to the beach by sliding open glass doors: wow, that will spoil you
Very nicely decorated, but not a tropical decor
Cons:
Price: way overpriced, in my opinion. I would think that for $750/night, a guest would at least arrive to a bowl full of tropical fruit. We've stayed in several condos in the Hawaiian islands and this is the first one that didn't offer something for your arrival.
Also, there was supposed to be a cooler but it must have been snatched by the previous guests. Having that would have been really nice for those long says out sightseeing.
We had some friends who were with us but stayed at Papakea for less than $200 per night. They had a closet full of amenities, fruit, coffee, etc. Nothing extra is included with this condo.
I don't regret staying here but I probably wouldn't do it again. It's simply too expensive when there are much lower priced places nearby that are just as nice.

We have stayed at the Alii before however we have now found our perfect spot! The condo is beautiful and the location on the ground floor is ideal for families. Kids can play on grass right out front your door. Easy access to pool, BBQ's, beach & shopping! We loved every second of our trip and can't wait to go back! Bonnie was fantastic to deal with as well!

The condo was exactly as advertised. Everything we needed was available to us. We've stayed in other units in the past and this one was by far the best. The property was clean, spacious and easily accessible for our family. The ground floor unit was located in a nice quiet spot, we were able to enjoy the pool area and had easy access to the beach whenever we wanted it. The kitchen, bathrooms and common areas were well-appointed. We had plenty of linens, towels, kitchen items and other items to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They have thought of everything.
Bonnie and her team were wonderful to work with, they were responsive and helpful. We love Kaanapali Beach and how easy it is to get around, dine out, relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Maui. This was a trip we will always remember.
Don't miss out on staying at this property, it is first class all the way. We will be looking forward to returning, we can't wait.

We had a fabulous time. The rental was as advertised. Right on ocean with good ocean swimming and two pools and two hot tubs. and one additional tub
for smaller children.
One of the best parts was using the grills provided at the edge of the ocean while watching the sunset.
Customer service by the owner is excellent. Bonnie is a delight. On one occasion we desired extra blanket, linens, etc. for a cot and Bonnie quickly
provided them.
Easy proximity to Whalers Village to shop and eat and plenty of snorkeling right outside and more challenging snorkeling close by as well.
Definitely recommend to others and plan on returning ourselves.

This condo was absolutely amazing! Ground floor walk out was perfect for accessing pool/beach/bbq... It was spacious, clean and the people who worked at the resort were extremely helpful. It was on a great stretch of beach. Nice sand and great for surfing, boogie boarding and surfing. We would definitely stay here again. Our kids really enjoyed it, they're 12, 14, 15 & 17 years old.

We spent a week at the Kaanapali Alii, at this great condo, end of Feb to early March, 2016. The condo was fantastic! It looks exactly like it was pictured on VRBO. Everything was in great condition. The mattresses were very comfortable (VERY important for us as both my husband and I have bad backs), the sheets and towels were nice quality. Plenty of pillows, which is nice. The bathrooms have tons of drawer and cabinet space. There was even a hair dryer, qtips, cotton pads and sewing kit. There is a safe in the master closet. Lots of space and drawers in the bedrooms and closets to keep yourself organized. Kitchen was nicely equipped, and with thoughtful touches like paper towels, napkins, salt, pepper, spices and dishwasher soap and sponges. Convenient to have a washer and dryer in the condo, and laundry soap is provided. Really a fantastic set up!
Bonnie was great to work with, and responded immediately when I locked my purse in the safe and couldn't get it open. I couldn't have asked for a quicker resolution to my problem!
The unit is on the ground floor, with a lovely view from the lanai of the pool and ocean. It was nice to have a large patio with table and chairs plus a loveseat and chair. Great location on the property. Very private.
We loved the Alii. There were always chairs open at the pool, so no problems at all. Our daughters enjoyed a beach cabana one day at a very reasonable price of $25. We rented snorkel gear from the concierge there. We loved walking to dinner - highlight was Japengo at the Hyatt (get a table overlooking the pool) - set up high, surrounded by tiki torches, so Hawaiian! Food and service there were great. We also ate at Hula Grill and Leilana's in Whaler's Village. Both have great atmosphere, good (not great) food. Both restaurants also have a more casual, beach front section, with a less expensive menu, walk-in only. Food & scene at Honu in Lahaina was very good but the service was really slow. We also had a lovely dinner at The Plantation House, set up high in the hills above Kapalua, with beautiful sunset & ocean views. A beautiful restaurant with very good food and service. Breakfast at the Gazebo in Napili Shores was great, with fantastic ocean views that soften the hour wait. The banana macadamia nut pancakes were SO good! Huge portions, so we ordered generously to have leftovers for breakfast the next day! Don't miss Mama's Fish House in Paia...spectacular setting & food - go for lunch! Reserve ahead.
