Positives: Condo nice ocean view from living room and bedroom & good location; 1 pool with umbrellas; 1 pool with maybe 1 umbrella; restaurant on property was good and so were the prices and had entertainment during the week.
Negatives: Condo showing it’s age, needs painting and a deep clean; vent under microwave was nasty; shower drain was plugged so water was ankle deep and ran up the curtain. I’m sure the shower curtain is not exchanged out each time a guest leaves. Overall, place was not that clean, floors, corners gross and I paid for cleaning. Looks like the combo code to get in is the same for each guest. So, I didn’t feel safe nor was there a deadbolt as the amenities say there is. The remodel was done in 2017 and is therefore NOT newly remodeled.
Also, the owner did NOT disclose that a ongoing exterior lanai railing repair was in progress during working hours and expected to continue through Nov 2023. This spoiled our time at the pool and in our room. I would NOT have rented this condo if this information had been disclosed to us.
Very disappointing and this noise spoiled 5 days of our seven (7) day vacation.

First of all, our hearts go out to all of Maui's residents, those that have lost their homes, families and friends. We send our prayers to all in this tragic time.
When Maui rebuilds and tourists are able to travel again, we would like to share that this was a great place to stay. It is centrally located, with Times Supermarket right across the road, and it is minutes away from great beaches such as Kaanapali beach with the Black Rock, Kahekili beach which is great for snorkeling and for families with young children. It is minutes away from Lahaina, Whaler's Village and the infamous Leoda's bakery.
The condo is clean and well maintained. The lanai offers a great view where you can see the pool and beach. Great to sit and watch the sunset, or to people watch. Having a washer/dryer is a bonus with a family! The kitchen was newly upgraded which was nice. It has everything you need to cook meals. The condo was comfortable to accommodate our family of 5 with the pull out couch and air mattress.
The resort staff are super friendly and both pools are well maintained! The beach is a short walk away and it's a pleasure to go and experience the sunset. On certain evenings there is entertainment consisting of hula dancing lessons and local bands. It is great to sit or swim in the pool watching them!
Overall a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend! Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Our room was just as pictured, the restaurant had excellent entertainment every night we were there. It was quiet and the beach was nice. Only downside was person who checked us in did not issue us the required beach towel cards and was not helpful in general. The condo itself is superb.

We planned this family vacation over a year ago and had several changes which Ken was extremely accommodating with. The property was more than perfect for our family! Great location and awesome vibe around the grounds of the Kannapali Shores! My family thoroughly enjoyed Christmas in Maui partly because of this amazing property! This was a very easy process with no check in lines. Place was clean and they even had chairs,umbrellas and boogie boards. Nice view close to Ocean. The only issue was they are working on the Adult pool. The bigger pool is open and if you leave during the day then it's no problem. This is not the owners fought. Everything you need is there. Thank You Ken for a great stay and look forward to renting from you again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo at Kaanapali shores. It is a spacious one bedroom unit with lovely views from the lanai. It is clean and well equipped with a very comfortable king sized bed. The property has two lovely pools each with its own hot tub. There is also an on-site restaurant with a varied menu and reasonable prices. All of the employees of the resort that we encountered were extremely helpful and very warm and friendly. The information provided by our host prior to check-in was complete, accurate, and very helpful.

Aston Kaanapali Shores is near the north edge of Kaanapali beach, just a few properties north of where the big beach and walking trail end (or begin), but with easy connector paths to get to the classic beach walk. This causes the property to feel just a tiny bit off the beaten path and perhaps just a tiny bit more secluded than all the busy and expensive resorts to the south. We loved that and thought the location was perfect. The vibe there is chill, not busy or crowded and perhaps a tiny touch of quaint. The hula dancing lessons, live music in the evenings playing to a small crowd in the pool and hottub, and lighting of tiki torches at sunset each evening all add to that touch of quaintness and make for a wonderful chill and relaxed atmosphere. Just what we wanted! The beach was kinda small and underwater at high tide, but the property next door has a nice beach all the time. We snorkeled right off the property, ate and got drinks at the on-site restaurant and bar, and thought the grounds were gorgeous. Groceries across the street, food truck park next door, fish market down the street with great grills to cook on. You get the sense that we really enjoyed this place!
The unit itself was just as expected - in good condition, well furnished, clean and well outfitted. Second floor location 3 units down from the ocean and right across from the more adult pool and restaurant makes this an ideal location in the resort. We spent many hours sitting on the balcony eating meals, drinking, playing games, staring at the ocean and just taking it all in. It is pretty amazing to see the ocean from pretty much every place in the condo, well expect the bathroom. Lol.
Master bedroom bed is comfy and spacious. My adult daughter and I shared that bed all week with plenty of space. Made an attempt to sleep on the pull out sofa bed, but like happens so often as I age more (51 now) I find it harder and to get comfortable on them. This is no fault or defect of what’s there - I’m sure its fine and normal and even had a thicker mattress than most. It just doesn’t work for me - I’d leave that kind of bedding to the youngens now.
Access was easy, clear, convenient and well thought out. Communication with the owner was outstanding, even helped us receive an emergency shipment of contact lenses.
Thank you so much for letting us be guests in this fabulous place! We highly recommend staying here for those whose desires and expectations are similar to us!

Owner was quick to respond. Had all the amenities my family needed. Fully stocked kitchen, air mattresses snorkel and body boards. Was nice to have w/d in the unit. Convenient to walk to grocery store and nearby food spots. Pools on property were nice, with live music, and even spotted a whale.

The condo was well equiped for families, with the pull out sofa bed for our child in the main living area. Pool area was amazing, and right on the beach. Ocean views from condo. Also conveniently located across the street from grocery store, local restaurants, and food trucks next door for quick and easy access to food without the need for driving.

Everything was a 5 except the carpet and sofa are old and tired. Carpet really needs to be replaced in the very near future. Newer matching appliances, new countertop appliances. Great condo for a couple and you will love the view!

If you happen to find this condo with availability, you are lucky - snag it!! The location is amazing - two great pools & the lanai offers a view of the ocean. There is a full kitchen. Comfortably slept 4 of us. Spacious. Ken was super awesome to work with - responsive, with a lot of personal pride in his condo. Ken chargers a very fair price for a phenomenal place. We CANNOT wait to book here again!!

My husband and I had a great time and enjoyed the condo! It had everything we needed for a great get away! We didn't have a car but the city bus ($2 per person-each way) was super easy to use and went up and down the coast. The "newly remodel" isn't newly but it's a great condo!

This is a fine property with very comfortable beds and a clean appearance. Sometimes it's the little things that matter the most and your host is that piece. Ken is available by cell that he provides. The facility offers the cleanest outdoor grills you've ever seen, that just have to be used. Our condo came without a spatula, so I mentioned it to Ken who offered to deliver one or have us simply buy one at his expense. Fine visit, indeed.

This was a short trip, and Kenneth was very helpful. He even let me know that I could have the additional day that I wanted, but unfortunately, I had already booked that day elsewhere and would have lost the money. But it was a wonderful stay!

Overall, the property was kept in good condition. We had an issue with the AC the first day and Ken was quick to respond. Luckily the property's facilities team was able to fix the HVAC within 30 minutes of making a call to the front desk. The view is quite spectacular and it is just steps from the ocean.

First, Ken is an excellent host, replied fast and gave good detail about the property. The unit may not be the most modern looking unit but it's inviting, clean, best view of the sunset and the beach, conveniently located on the 2nd floor, all amenities are provided, having the washer and dryer in the unit a big plus and beach stuff like boards and chairs available to use, we can't really ask for anything more. Did I mention the location is excellent? We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay here and it is a great property and is well represented by the photos, we enjoyed the facilities both times the unit is comfortable, functional and the views are great. We used both pools and they were very nice. There is not much beach for swimming but you can walk a little on the beach if you don’t mind walking partly in the water

Pools and grounds are beautiful. Apt is close to the resort restaurant but it is not noisy or disturbing. Everyone was very friendly! Wifi didn’t work most of the time (resort too busy I guess). We highly recommend this place!
Old Lahaina Luau was great (but all in the open so would be disappointing if rainy). Snorkeling at Black Rock at the end of Kanaapali beach was very good (we parked at the Sheraton for 24$/day). Whale watching right from our Lanai! Lots of beaches along the highway for safe swimming.

We had a great stay at this property. There is a beautiful view of the ocean and the pool from this unit and the beach is a few steps away. The unit is comfortable, clean, and quiet. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella in the unit available for use. There is a shopping center across the street of this property with a grocery store and a good brunch spot we enjoyed called Slappy Cakes. Overall, we had a great stay and would stay here again.
