We had a wonderful stay here. One of the best-appointed homes we have ever stayed. This condo is amazing and had everything we needed for a family of 6 - ages 17-81. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the patio and amazing ocean views every day and the sunsets too. The condo was very clean and one of the most well stocked we have stayed in. The kitchen had everything you would need too. Lots of beach towels and chairs for our beach days. When we return to the Big Island we will stay here again. Having access to the Ocean Club was an added bonus. The restaurant is very good and friendly staff.

Had a great time on this vacation. The view was exactly what I wanted. You had beautiful sunsets each day. The second balcony has a comfy sectional and chair to relax on and enjoy the sunsets. The inside was in excellent shape and looked like the pictures. The kitchen had everything you could need and was all high quality. Hope to be back again!

We have stayed in 3 other units in Halii Kai. We love the atmosphere and care of complex and feel Halii Kai owners take pride in their units. We were a little disappointed in 16C. As another review stated the unit needs some attention. Dirty stained carpet, dirty couch, noisy washer, shower needs deep cleaning, & the furniture is looking worn. We did have a ant problem in bedroom but Halii Kai sent someone out and handled it. That said the kitchen was in great condition and quality appliances. Salt and pepper was not supplied. Location was great for pool and restaurant. Restaurant food and service were excellent.

We stayed here on our trip to the Big Island in mid June (2025). This place was perfect! Fully stocked kitchen, beach gear, & a nice welcome gift. The condo was clean, great furnishings, and well kept. We spent most of our evenings at the resort club eating dinner & watching the sunsets. Will be staying here again on our next trip.

The property is spacious, with roomy luxurious bathrooms, comfy beds and an excellent kitchen. The lanai is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the meticulously manicured grounds. The pool and bar/restaurant that are part of the resort are a bit of a walk, but the view is tremendous, and it’s a great place to hang out. I’d love to come back for another visit!

Everything about this property is perfect. Location can’t be beat. Property amenities are ample. Restaurant and pool are right around the corner. Order the green beans. Trust me. The hosts have just enough of everything you might need to make the stay easy, sunscreen beach things, simple everyday needs that you hate to buy and leave behind. Beautiful 3 Bedroom Unit. All Bedrooms and beds were great for our party of 5. Plenty of Space. Beach Towels, Chairs, and games provided. Short 5 minute walk to a beautiful pool (unfortunately pool closes at 8PM) for sunsets and live music on some nights of the week. Great communication leading up to and during our stay. Even provided us with a late check out on our last day. Loved everything about our stay.

We enjoyed snorkeling, Volcano National Park (got to witness the 6/4 eruption during our 2nd trip to park) and the sunset from Mauna Kea Summit. Lunch and diner on site was surprisingly delicious from the beach club bar/grill area. We only ate off property twice during our stay. Absolutely delicious- Fish Tacos & Pork Nachos a must! Hosts are readily available and responsive. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay again.

The property was well maintained and the unit was clean, comfortable, beautiful and well stocked - we did not need a thing! We loved the beach “closet” full of chairs, coolers, sand toys and snorkeling equipment. The unit is a couple minute walk to the beautiful pool and view, with the putting green and tennis court across the street. We were close to shopping, beaches and restaurants - absolutely cannot say enough about the unit, we will be staying again!! Loved, loved, loved it! Owners were very easy to work with and communication was quick and friendly! We definitely recommend!!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, as described, well furnished and all around enjoyable. My only complaint is the noise of the refrigerator motor which made a high pitch whistling noise. We had to sleep with the door closed. If they fix that the place is perfect.

The home was beautiful! The air conditioning was a pain. Too many sensors. Made it difficult to keep the air at a comfortable temperature Also we felt that the description to the various amenities was inaccurate. Ten minutes to the ocean was incorrect. You have to drive to get to it or you can walk a 1/2 hour to another hotel and swim in their Lagoon if you want sand. We were unaware that we needed to Pay the resort an extra 25.00/day to get keys to stay there that was frustrating. We thank the owners for our stay.

This is our second stay at Hali’i Kai.Unit 16c needs some attention. The carpet in the master bedroom was filthy and stained. The grout in the shower and floor needs a deep clean. Both bathrooms have small wall clocks which are missing batteries. The bed is hard and the fitted sheet slides off each night. It has a crummy, very loud stacked washer/dryer with weird detergent sheets that never quite dissolve. There really isn’t an ocean view…you can just see a sliver of ocean peeking out over a hedge. Also, the patio overlooks the street so there is a lack of privacy. Positives: the kitchen has high end appliances including a Wolf cook top and oven, and a Sub Zero fridge. The unit came with plenty of supplies for our 11 nights, including TP, paper towels, toiletries. This unit is very close to the pool and restaurant. The management company responded quickly to all of my inquiries. Comments about Hal’i Kai. The second floor units are more desirable due to added privacy and better views. The buildings closest to the pool are preferable (but more expensive). Try for any building numbered 10 and above. The grounds are gorgeous and the bar and restaurant add a lot of convenience…they make a killer mai tai. The pool furniture, while comfortable, is showing a lot of wear, made worse by the mineral (zinc based) sunscreen requirement that the state of Hawaii has implemented. It’s for the health of the reefs (yeah!) but man that sunscreen is the worst!

Location, location, location! Ocean views from the patio, georgous unit with all the amenities. Played golf one day (lakes & beach course). The hilton pass was used almost every day. We walked a couple times as well as drove. Loved all the beach and pool accessories in the unit. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back for sure.
