Haliikai 15b was by far one of the best places I’ve stayed for vacation! The owners have definitely exceeded our expectations with the amenities and everything provided in the condo that one would need! There was not one thing that we had to go and purchase! Our God makes such beautiful places!! The property is amazing. We had everything we needed and more. Beds slept well. Had coffee (furnished) watching the sunrise and the blue Pacific water. Area was beautiful and quite. Snorkeling gear and other fun time stuff provided. Took a lava rock path to see the sunrise. Pool was great, restaurant food was good and staff was nice. Lots to do in the area. Food is expensive but Walmart is only 20 or so miles away

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa was well stocked with beach gear, so that made packing much easier. The views were amazing - we saw several whales while sitting on the patio. The proximity to golf courses was excellent. One thing to note, the pool closes at 8:00 and if you were going there later in the day, they seemed to frequently run out of towels.

This was our second stay in Kerry & Sue's unit and it was every bit as good as the first one. Sue worked alongside her cleaners to allow us to check in a few hours early and she was a joy to meet. The unit is outfitted with every cooking utensil, dish, pot, food storage item as well as boogie boards, fins, beach towels and lots of coffee pods. The location is spectacular with ever-changing ocean views off the patio and a just short stroll to the Beach Club. Just minutes from golf courses. Sue was extremely responsive to our needs and suggested a few ideas for activities and fresh fish purchases that we really enjoyed. This is five stars in every way and we look forward to our next visit.

Wonderful property and hosts. Stayed in mid to late December and saw whales everyday and dolphins multiple times from lanai. Condo was clean with kitchen supplies, games, dvds and outdoor activity supplies. In a great location for access to multiple beaches along with shopping, restaurants and grocery.

I would highly recommend this unit! The oceanfront location (and outdoor lanai) is amazing and the condo complex itself is super conveniently located and has all the benefits of a larger hotel without the crowds. The unit was absolutely spotless and was literally the best stocked/equipped unit I have ever rented. They thought of everything! Sue and Kerry were very responsive and fixed a minor issue immediately. I would absolutely stay there again! It was perfect for our family of four!

I usually don’t give reviews but I had to say something because this place exceeded our expectations! A Wonderful place it had beautiful view from the lanai which made a great spot to drink coffee in the morning and watch the sunsets at night. The condo was outfitted with everything we needed and was a comfortable place to relax. fishermans trail is right off the lanai and leads to 49 black sand beach, a great beach for snorkeling and relaxing, only about a 10 minute walk on the historic trail. The hosts were very welcoming and able to help with any issues. They gave us a great recommendation for our 20th anniversary dinner, Ulu was just the place we were looking for. The ocean club was close by and had great food and drinks as well as a nice pool. I would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely beautiful condo, first floor, lanai, ocean view., exceptionally clean. Early morning & sunset views of ocean & ocean life incredible. Hali’i Kai 15-B. Sue & Kerry McClelland wonderful hosts & were available if anything was needed. Washer/dryer/dishwasher/ 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms… condo was all stocked up & many sports & beach gear provided. Condo right in the center of Waikoloa next to the Hilton & shopping & golf courses. Bonus.. Ocean club with restaurant/ bar/ multiple pools/ hot tub & workout room within 100 yds. Safe & secure gated community. Had a wonderful 2 weeks with daughter & grandkids & 2nd week with friends. Would definitely come back!!!! Thank you Sue & Kerry

We stayed for five nights with our two young daughters. Everything was fabulous! I will always remember eating meals in the patio and watching a baby whale breaching over and over out in the ocean. The pool access was perfect for our kids. We loved being able to eat at The Ocean Club while watching the sunset and then walking the 3 minutes back to the condo. We loved having beach toys, umbrella, chairs, and a boogie board to take to the beach. Great location close to beautiful beaches. The owners were fabulous with communication. Overall we had a five star experience and we are dreaming of coming back!

This unit exceeded our expectations. The development has everything right at your fingertips; from restaurants, markets, bike rentals, and pubs to golf courses. The Beach Club is a short stroll from the unit and has a wonderful free-form pool, restaurant and bar. The unit itself in in great shape and comes with top quality appliances, utensils etc. as well as everything one could ask for in terms of beach chairs, towels, sporting equipment, and binoculars for watching the ever-present whales and even Spinner Dolphins. The views from the patio are spectacular and we've never seen Humpback Whales so close to the shore. We are so impressed that we just booked a longer stay in the unit in 2024.

We enjoyed our time staying in Hali'i Kai. The accommodations were very nice, and appeared as described. The location of the unit was great, in that it had a direct sea view and was a very short walk to the clubhouse and pool. Our family enjoyed using the pool and hot tub, and we ate at the restaurant multiple times because the food was quite good and it was so convenient to walk there rather than get in the car and drive elsewhere.
There is a walking path called fisherman's trail right outside the property that we used to walk to the Hilton Waikoloa one day (so the kids could go to Dolphin Quest and spend a day at the resort pools) and to walk to the 49 Black Sand beach. The walk takes you along some very impressive coastline.

First, this place is fabulous. It is EXACTLY as described in the photos and (if possible) even cleaner. The unit has all high-end appliances, the beds are super comfy, the location is five stars with breathtaking views, and located right next to the clubhouse which has a restaurant and lovely pool area. We did read the reviews on the clubhouse before coming but found the staff to be very helpful and nice (note: dinner at 6 pm is a madhouse and they don't allow you to have a water bottle at the pool but otherwise the staff is very friendly). The check-in process was very straightforward and the owners were very nice and easy to work with! We do only have one note for guests - the unit is on the first floor and during the first two days of our stay we had a very loud family upstairs from us (kids wrestling and playing above our bed until 9:30 +) was aggravating but otherwise only a minor inconvenience. We would, and will rent this unit again - it was PERFECT!

We enjoyed our stay and were thankful for the Ocean Bar & Grill for the yummy food (fried green beans) and Mai Tais! The pool are is quite lovely, overlooking the ocean.
The condo was clean with all the little things you need to go to the beach - boogie boards, coolers, snorkles etc. It was furnished nice with comfortable beds and furniture. We loved waking up to see the ocean first thing. We spent time dining and reading on the patio each morning and the gorgeous sunsets at night. it was also very quiet for the most part.
It was convenient for driving to the beautiful beaches in the surrounding the area. You can hike on the lava out front down to a couple of coves for snorkeling.

Kerry and Sue were absolutely awesome in their communication and recommendations for us! The property was new, clean, and had everything we needed (everything). Kitchen has everything and we really appreciated the beach & snorkeling gear (they have chairs, umbrellas, boards, snorkeling gear). The complex is great as is the pool & little bar/restaurant! We wasted our money on a resort pass for the Hilton next door one day and would have rather just stayed at the complex’s pool instead and just walked the Hilton’s property (which is always nice). The view was incredible and we saw pods of dolphins in the morning and the sunsets never get old! Walking distance to a great snorkeling area in the lagoon by the Hilton. This place is perfect in every way & we can’t wait to come back.

We rented this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo for our family (kids 12 and 10) and were blown away by the cleanliness and supplies readily available. The sweet owners have genuinely thought of everything you’ll need for your Hawaiian getaway. The ocean front property served as a breathtaking backdrop to morning coffee, all meals and wine with sunsets at night. Our family enjoyed hiking the volcanic rocks (paths available) down to the ocean and the beautiful amenities of the community. The gyms, pools, bar and restaurant are all resort quality- you’ll never want to leave. The condo is perfectly located walking distance to anything and everything you’ll need! We will definitely be back!

Loved our stay here! We arrived early due to some miscalculations on our end, but Sue was super accommodating and let us into the unit early. The place was clean, organized, and homey, and after a quick tour we immediately got to relaxing. The pool and restaurant are literally one minute away and were just lovely. Drinks and food were also great. Actually, to the point of making us not want to leave the neighborhood at all! I think we tried everything on the menu at least once... Staff and neighbors were all super friendly and calm. All in all, great experience!

My wife and I were thrilled with our week at this well-appointed and beautifully maintained oceanfront condo which easily surpassed our expectations. The owner, Jeff, was gracious and caring, easy to converse with, and extremely responsive to our needs. We especially enjoyed the surrounding grounds which included a tropically landscaped swimming pool area, a restaurant, and a bar - all of which have breathtaking views of the water and sunsets! We enjoyed sightseeing outside the resort during the first half of the days and then returning to the pool area in the late afternoon for happy hours and sunsets. The staff at the restaurant and bar was also professional and warmly accommodating. Overall, we had a truly romantic and luxurious experience! We hope to return someday to this property which we would fully recommend to others.

When we opened the door and my wife and soon to be 13 year old boy both said "Wow" I knew we were in good shape. Condo was really well kept. Jeff was very attentive. And the tour guide book they have there was awesome! We spent more time driving than I thought to various beaches and parts of the island and coming back to Ocean Club was perfect - lava flows, appetizers, etc. And being close to a village with shopping, food, etc. was great. Only suggestion and it's so picky - on the COMPLIMENTARY coffee, maybe throw in a light / medium roast ground option. But since Jeff's a perfectionist, I included it in the review :+) Thanks for helping make this teenage birthday celebration a trip we'll remember for the rest of our lives!

We just left our stay at this fantastic resort location a few days ago. Jeff has taken the trouble to outfit this condo with nearly anything you might need for your beach vacation - chairs, nice towels, hats, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc. For a family of 5, this was invaluable. The equipment was also great quality! The condo also has really nice applicances and the washer / dryer were a lifesaver for us! The condo itself was comfortable and the view from the lanai was amazing. We enjoyed the resort amenities such as the pool, tennis courts, and gym, and the resort itself is a great place for runners / walkers - all kinds of sidewalks and paths. All in all, a great home base to explore the area's stunning beaches and a great place to relax and recharge at night. Additionally, Jeff went out of his way to let us know ahead of time of the new lava flow - an extra effort that was greatly appreciated. Thanks for making it our stay in Waikola an unforgettable experience!

From the start Jeff was great, he got back to me right away. The house was wonderful, loved the master bedroom that looked out to the ocean - it was a great way to wake up in the morning. It was well stocked with toys - boogie boards, ice chest, tennis rackets, we didn't use them but it was nice to know we had the option! Little touches were nice - chocolate, Kuerig coffee pods for us to use. The pool, bar and restaurant were great - Kathy and Donna were so sweet and helpful. You cannot find a more gracious and inviting host on VRBO and the fact that this property is truly amazing makes it even better! The location of the unit within the complex is perfect- being right on the lava "beach" makes all of the difference. We watched the sun set every night we were there and caught sight of dolphins in the morning. The unit is well appointed with everything you could possibly need in Hawai'i, and if you do want to run to the store, there are several very close by. The property is a perfect starting point for anywhere you want to visit on the island, which is a bonus if you want to hit all of the highlights. If you want to just chill for the day at "home," you can kick back at the pool or go to some of the best beaches on the island less than 20 minutes away!
The beds are comfortable, there are lots of sheets-pillows-towels, everything is very clean, the amenities are plentiful within the unit and on the property (pool, bar, grill, fitness facility, tennis, basketball) and it's so quiet! Don't walk, run to book this rental! You will be very happy that you did!

Hali'i Kai is a quiet and relaxed resort. The condo is set up like a family guest house not a rental property. It has everything you need for a great vacation, really everything. All you will need to bring is your clothes and a relaxed attitude. I loved the new washer and dryer.
The Best things about the condo: Location, Sunsets, Quiet nights, Dolphins swimming by in the early morning, Cooking out on the lanai, Amenities, ABay is a few minutes away--6am morning walks to see the sleeping turtles--walk left on the beach, And the owner Jeff. Jeff has made a great effort to make you feel at home. We really felt welcomed.
