Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this fantastic resort home. It was everything as pictured and described. We were very comfortable and relaxed. It’s like we never left our home. We were greeted with a wonderful care package. Thank you for that! Our transition from hotel resort to home resort was perfect! We enjoyed all the amenities it had to offer. Lunch at Mauna Lani Beach Club was fun! I personally enjoyed the Maile Spa products. Loved them so much that I just ordered several to stock my own wetroom/bathrooms.😃 We recommend KaMilo 409 and would stay there again in the future.

This home is perfect. Three generations of family members, 6 in total, stayed here and enjoyed every second of our time in this home nearly as much as the time we spent on the beach and exploring the island. The upstairs lanai was my personal favorite aspect, along with the striking cleanliness of the home. We will be back.

We have stayed in the Kamilo neighborhood before so we basically knew what we were getting and there were no big surprises. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful views of the golf course and even a bit of the ocean. It was a nice place to eat meals and relax. The only disappointment was the overall cleanliness of the home. It needs a deep clean. It had clearly been “surface” cleaned before our arrival and it looked nice. Everything was neat and tidy, but things like the kitchen sink, bathroom floors, showers, refrigerator, countertops etc….had definitely only been wiped down with minimal effort. I typically clean those things before I settle in for my own piece of mind anyway, so it wasn’t worth complaining about, but too bad as it is a lovely house. We had a nice stay there nonetheless and are grateful for it:)

This is our 2nd time staying in this unit and we rent from Shiwota properties often. Always a good experience and we love this layout in Kamilo.My only comment would be that the beach supplies and bikes and stuff need to be updated compared to other units. Chairs are not good and old and no bikes which is rare.

The house exceeded our expectations. We stayed here with the kids (14 month and 4 year old), my parents and brother and everyone had more than enough room. The house was perfect for the kids as well with everything that was provided. Will definitely be coming back!

The house worked well for all 10 of us… the security alarms on the doors to the pool were a little annoying but understood the need. Would have appreciated an adequate supply of toilet paper for 10 people otherwise the house was well equipped .

We are a family of 6 adults, 3 couples and one 16 yr.old grandson. All 4 units had a bedroom. We have stayed in many beautiful condos. This was our first house vacation. The layout of rooms was convenient. We ate inside at the dining table and sometimes out side on the lanai. The lanai outside had a sofa and someone was usually on it reading or computing. The kitchen had every convenience as far as utensils, pots and pans and dishes. We cooked most of our meals and used the microwave, range top, oven and the outdoor grill. Grocery shopping was convenient.
We used the pool and hot tub almost every day. Very quiet and just a few steps from our unit. A little difficult to have only one key to the area and it took cell phone communication to get people into the pool. We were very satisfied with the information supplied to us and never questioned anything. People had left some supplies and we did as well. Very nice. We had a wonderful time and pleased with our first foray into renting a home.

This was outstanding, everything is upscale decoration, beds were extremely comfortable, bedding, towel, and large supply of beach towel. They did not spare expenses TVs, appliances, all the silverware, cooking supplies, even toilet paper was plentiful and of high quality, which is we’re many place provide substandard products. our full size SUV fit in the garage barely, which is important because the driveway is too short to park in. It was walking distance to the pool and work out location. We had access to private beach for the resort, which we went to swim, snorkel and play in the sun. The unit came with snorkel, bikes and beach equipment, including chairs, coolers, and umbrellas. The facility was clean and very quiet. We did not want to leave. If your departure flight is a red eye, do yourself a favor and just book the extra night. Check out for us was 10 am and out flight was not until 10 pm. The location provide an excellent app with tons of excellent information, activities, and resources including a video of driving to the location.

We stayed here for a week in March with 6 adults and 2 children. The house was clean and had great extras like sunscreen, olive oil, coffee, sugar as well as a nice welcome gift from Burt. The location is a short walk to the pool area and the we frequently took the wagon with garage gear. We used the beach club access one afternoon and loved it. Do bring water shoes as the lava stones in the water can be a bit rough. The beach club staff were great and you can eat there or order drinks for the beach. The cabanas and beach chairs are first come, first serve. This property has several chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and a few sets of snorkel gear (in ok repair). We didn’t need to buy any equipment beyond what was provided. We loved using the bikes (4 adults, 1 kid (age 6-11 size). We ate in several meals and food land has a hot and cold food bar for quick meals.
Side note: Using the bike pump was a bit tricky but a google search explained that it’s opposite what you normally do. Put the pump attachment over the bike tire stem and pull the clamp up. You’ll know it’s latched correctly when the psi adjusts on the gauge. I only tell you this because even my mechanic dad was a bit stumped by the design, we enjoyed riding the bikes around the complex and to nearby resort areas.
AC: all windows and doors must be closed for it to function. Then it works great.
Steps - to upper lanai - watch the extra lip to avoid tripping. Bottom of first staircase step gets hard to see.

Loved the area. Great access/ parking for taking toddlers to beach club. Foodland was a daily visit for amazing Poke. Beds and linens were great. Any small issues had resolutions within hours. Thanks for a super location and amenities.

Loved the location and the layout but…the wicker deck furniture was torn up and old, the cushions on the deck chairs no longer snapped to the chair so if you leaned back the cushions slid forward, the bicycles gear shifts didn’t function properly, rats on the deck and in the BBQ grill, floors not real clean, a few dirty windows, and not enough living room furniture. Expected better.

This large house, in well-maintained, quiet, gated community, was perfect for our family of 8 (6 adults, 2 children 9 &11) and easily walkable to the community centre where we made full use of pools, hot tub & gym equipment. Other amenities including small shopping mall with small grocery store, beaches and parks were short car drive away. It was tight but laneway was large enough for our 2 large vehicles (street parking not permitted). Kitchen was well equipped and extra chairs allowed all of us to eat around the dining table. Minor inconvenience was concierge service knew but did not tell us that bathroom fan was not functioning until we brought it to their attention.

Nice that all 3 downstairs bedrooms had access through sliders to the yard. The kitchen was very well equipped. Perfect location for us. We'd love to stay in this house again.

Our family of 12 (6 adults & 6 grand children) spent 9 days at Kamilo 202 in March 2024. First it was very easy to find with the directions and address provided to us by Mike the property manager. The location is in a beautiful, gated neighborhood and was absolutely perfect for all the outdoor activities our family had planned. The 4 bedroom house accommodated us very well. The kitchen was supplied with all the essential tools necessary for preparing our meals. The covered outdoor patio was spacious enough for all 12 of us to enjoy our meals in the outdoors. If we had a question the property manager was very efficient and helpful at responding to our need. The two pools and hot tub located literally just steps away across the street were enjoyed daily by everyone, especially our grandchildren ages 3-12. The Recreation Center was very well equipped with exercise & weight lifting equipment. The entire community in which our home was located was new, beautiful, very well maintained, professionally landscaped and had wonderful beaches a short drive away (access pass provided to this gated beach is included in the rent). Just to the north approximately a 10-15 minute drive was the most wonderful white sand beach, Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area. It was excellent for boogie boarding and swimming unless you caught a day the waves were too big. We traveled the entire island hiking, sight seeing & hiking at Volcano's National Park on the east part of the island and we found our location to be one of the best! The beaches were the nicest on the west side of the island also. Proximity to Costco was only 30-45 minutes away and a more traditional grocery store was walking distance or short drive away. There was a beautiful golf course nearby, many restaurants and shops close by or within a 30 minute drive down in Kona. We would highly recommend this home and location!

Heidi and Miguel’s property was centrally located, we used the private beach club, the Fairmont Beach, the Mauna Kea beach and Beach 69,
Also having the pool and fitness centre just 2minutes away worked great!

We had the best stay at this property. We were there with our large family of 8 kids ( 21, 16, 15, 12, 9, 6, 4, 2) and there was comfortable sleeping arrangements for all of us and my husband and I. I loved having the playpen which we set up in the walk in closet with the baby monitor for the 2 year old. The snorkel gear, life jackets for the littles and bikes were so appreciated. The pool was a delight and the fitness center was used everyday and was just a short 3 minutes walk down the road. Costco delivery was available and super handy. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone!

This property is quite nice, and comes with the percs normally available in Mauna Lani. Additionally there is a golf cart which is a great plus. Only downside is the management company. There was no beach card or ice chest when we arrived. The beach pass was delivered 2 days later, and the the ice chest 5 days later. The "on island" representative never returned my calls.

Our family of 10 had a fantastic time at this property! It was more than adequate for all of our needs. There were tons of towels and beach toys for all the kids. We enjoyed the beach pass and had a great time snorkeling there. The pool across the street was so convenient and my younger kids loved it.
The outdoor furniture is a bit tired and one of the chairs was falling apart, but the outdoor space is absolutely lovely in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee. We had a small issue with one of the appliances, but Mike was so quick to respond and resolved the issue very quickly!
Overall, we would definitely stay here again and we made great memories on the Big Island that will last for a long time.
