I'm not sure how our stay at LOTUS PAD could have been any better. The property manager was extremely helpful and extremely prompt in replying to minor issues we encountered during our stay. The home may have been the best equipped we've experienced for towels, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, kitchen appliances, cleaning and essential supplies. Everything worked well and the instructions the property manager provided were extremely helpful. Those are the practical considerations.Here's why you want to stay at LOTUS PAD. The surroundings are idyllic, set on the fairway of a Par 3 hole on the Mauna Lani golf course overlooking a beautiful mountain range and the ocean in the background. We especially enjoyed our mornings on the upper lanai with breakfast and coffee! The interior living areas are vast, extremely well-appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen is a chef's dream with upscale appliances and all of the tools needed to make great meals. The outdoor grill was wonderful. The bedrooms and bathrooms featured very comfortable beds, very nice bathrooms, and all the towels you could ever need. The internet and the cable TVs were top notch.I can't say enough about the pool, which is beautiful, spacious, clean and calming. Having said that, you're near Hapuna Beach, which is incredible and the Mauna Lani Beach Club which features a private beach. LOTUS PAD is near great restuarants, grocery stores and shopping. What a wonderful place.

Wish list:1) Entrance gate “clicker” to avoid having to get out of car to manually input the code.2). Provide code to side entrance door to the garage. The car can get locked in the garage with no way of getting the garage door open (clicker left in car).3). Beach towels are getting a little worn.4). Spa heats, but pump circulation is set so low there is very little aeration.5). Main bedroom bed pillows are becoming lumpy due to age.6) Would love to have had a pineapple “corer” as a kitchen utensil.7). Would love to have had a couple of bicycles.8). Note: Backyard irrigation system is “spouting” (wasting water) in two places near the steps to the pool.We loved the house…the above items, as mentioned, are just a suggested “wish list.” Thank you for sharing your home with us.

There was not one thing missing from our “home”. From the very timely and thorough communications from the owners (thank you Heidi) to the covering of every need you might have for your stay… Fantastic! We were there with our son, daughter -in -law and 3 grandchildren 10, 7, and 6 We loved the pool, evenings on the lanai, and all the equipment that we used daily for our excursions to the beaches, biking, and exploring. This was a wonderful place to stay. It was so lovely and clean and definitely met all our needs—including the needs of our toddlers. It was close to the pools, market, and beach. There are a lot of beach toys, snorkeling gear, and games available to use. The hosts are very kind and helpful and are great with communicating and responding to questions. We really enjoyed our trip. It was perfect. Fabulous. Heidi our host was very helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate our 3 generation family.The home has a grand master suite upstairs that I used. It was quiet and away from the noise and business of the younger group downstairs. I’m 83 and it was a perfect get away for me. It also had a lovely view of the morning sunrise over the mountains. The home had good snorkeling equipment which my family enjoyed and they were all excited about the abundance of fish at the near by beach and I appreciated the pool which was just a 5 minute walk from the condo. The large kitchen was fully equipped and my very excellent family chefs made good use of all the spices and we were treated to some very delicious meals.Thank you, Heidi. We had two sets of grandparents, aunt, my husband and I, and our 3 kids (5, 3, and 1) stay for 9 nights at this property. One bedroom is upstairs, the remaining 3 are downstairs so if mobility is an issue for many members of the group, I wouldn’t recommend this property. Otherwise, it’s GREAT! We loved the open space, the lanais, the Mauna Lani beach club, pool, and fitness center. Things to note: 1) if you want to explore the Hilo/Kilaeaua side of the island a lot, stay on that side for a couple nights, it’s a long drive over there and not economical to go back and forth everyday; 2)we had unexpected visitors (a scorpion and gecko). We removed the scorpion but the gecko was fast and we couldn’t catch him. He was there before we got there and is still here now. 3)the downstairs bath has mold and mildew on the shower curtain and in the grout. The rest of the bathrooms (3) were super clean; 4) the beds have varying degrees of firmness. The bunk bed room has the firmest. The downstairs master bed is fairly soft. It’s like Goldilocks and the three bears trying to find the right comfort level. The bunk beds were perfect for my older kids and I put the guardrails up to make sure they didn’t fall off. My 1 yr old slept in the pack and play provided and the baby monitor was easy to use. 5)there’s no baby gate for the stairs so we used the bar stools to block the stair access for my 1 yr old but it’s a pain. With everything said, I would stay again! Thanks!

Our stay at this home was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, welcoming, and exactly as described. Being able to step right outside and enjoy the pool was such a treat—it truly made the experience relaxing and memorable. The house was perfect for our stay in Hawaii. It was exactly as pictured and super comfortable. One of my party has mobility challenges so we loved that it was just one floor (unlike so many others where the bedrooms are up a flight of stairs) and there was a walk-in shower, which was ideal for her. It was also spotless and it had all the necessities. I was especially impressed with the quality of the kitchen items. We cooked at the house several times and it had everything we needed. I want that dinnerware for my own house! The location is also great. It's a two minute drive to the grocery store and shops, and just down the road to a couple beautiful beaches, including a secluded black sand beach.Lastly, the management company has excellent communication. We had all the info we needed for a seamless check-in and check-out. I love a stress-free arrival after a long day of travel. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone. Thanks!

We had a nicely equipped kitchen with plenty of kitchen essentials for cooking together. 8 beach chairs were perfect along with boogie boards and umbrellas. Pool and spa were easy to operate too. Management was very quick to address any concerns we had upon arrival and throughout our stay. We would stay here again.

It was spacious and airy and was incredibly well equipped with everything that we needed, including all kitchen equipment and a huge range of beach equipment. There were even lots of spices, condiments etc. in the cupboard. The rental company kept in touch all the time and answered all our questions immediately. We are very happy indeed that we chose this spectacular house.

Krish was absolutely fantastic and communicated as needed, and on a very timely basis. Home was immaculate with everything that we could need. We had 10 people in our family staying there. The layout was perfect for gathering together and also for having separate time. The items provided in the kitchen allowed us to cook some meals, and we even made good use of the grill. Absolutely wonderful stay in a beautiful home in a beautiful location. The golf cart was also very handy for going to the beach and nearby areas.

Wow! This place is a gem! The location is great, in a beautiful lush, quiet neighborhood - even walking the trash to the drop off site was awesome since you were seeing billions of stars and the Milky Way! There was ample space for everyone. The place was clean and had everything we needed from extra towels and many beach towels to pots and pans in the well appointed kitchen. The owner/property manager was super responsive and eash to reach via text - even after the trip when I realized I left my wallet when I was already back in NC. Super nice, super comfy, I honestly couldn't ask for a better place to stay! :)

Everything about the house was amazing. The community pool was a huge disappointment. It started out crystal clear, but as the week went on it got greener and greener. You could see the film on top of the green water from sunscreen, lotion, hair products. Every time we swam, there were clumps of hair. We love pools on vacation and this is a big deterrent.

Golf cart is a wonderful touch as as my wife stayed at the house most off the time while my friend and his son were out on adventures. This retreat has everything you could possibly need while on vacation. It was so wonderful to have so many amenities …. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas, board games, books, blue tooth speaker, and incredible smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash! We walked out of the shower smelling like a fruit salad and we absolutely loved it!! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils and it even had a salad spinner!! (Might consider a garlic press, but certainly not a necessity). We appreciated the fact that there was enough dish soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towel to use our entire 14 days. Who wants to have to spend time buying those items while on vacation?? We enjoyed having coffee on the lanai in the mornings in a peaceful and serene space. All you could hear were the birds chirping. A nice place to relax and forget all of the stresses of everyday life. There are a few things that could use some attention (and this is by no means a complaint, just a suggestion). The dryer takes forever to dry the beach towels and there is no drying rack to hang things on. Also the second bedroom, with the king size bed, doesn’t have the same air conditioning circulation as the rest of the home and the ceiling fan doesn’t have a high speed. Again, this is not a complaint but just something you may want to address. Thank you for providing us with such a great place to vacation with family!!

The 10/10 reviews don't lie. This was a beautiful exquisite home that was perfectly located for our purposes, and well-stocked with amenities. We loved this place! It was close to the gated entrance, across the street from the community pool, very close to the trash/recycling, close to the Fairmont Orchid where I had a meeting and close to the black sand beach, Hapuna beach and close to the grocery store. The garage was stocked with snorkeling equipment, water socks, boogie boards, surf boards and bikes enough for at least 4 folks with sizing for adults and kids, and lots of toys for kids. The only issue we had was the dishwasher didn't completely clean the dishes, and the response time to address this was very quick. The dishwasher would clean the upper racks intermittently, and despite the attention received from property management, I think it might need an appliance technician to really look at it. Otherwise, talking with property management was very easy and they were incredibly responsive. This place was so beautiful and wonderful! Our family really had a memorable time. Thank you!

This house was a great homebase for our family of 3 for a visit to the Big Island. The house is large enough to accommodate more people, easily could handle a family with three kids. Everything was nice: fans in every room; three bedrooms; two-and-a-half baths. Kitchen is nice and opens into the living room which opens onto a large, comfortable lanai with a gas grill. Location is great. Half-mile from the local grocery store and a two-mile drive to the Waikoloa markets (Queen's and King's). Access to the beach club is the real prize: beautiful beach with no waves, clear water, great for swimming and relaxing. Other cool aspect was the digital guide the owners sent us in advance, which could be accessed as an app on our phones and had all relevant info about the house and area. Would definitely recommend.
