Our host Mike was exceptionally,our questions were answered immediately.the rental process was so easy. He responded to my issue immediately. The condo is beautiful, stocked for our family to enjoy our meals.we had a very large family and everyone was very comfortable. Very quiet community and nice to walk around. The pool was enjoyable and close. Shopping and restaurants close to take advantage. We had two cars and got to park both at condo one in garage and the other in driveway,Having three little ones that made a difference. We had a very pleasant week and want to thank Mike for sharing this condo.we made the 2 1/2 hour drove to see the volcano unfortunately the eruption happened the next day, however got some beautiful pictures.swimming,fishing ,shopping,golf and relaxing was included in our stay.we will be back and hope you enjoy the condo as much as we did.

We had a wonderful 12-day stay and would absolutely stay here again. The Mauna Lani resort location was fantastic—close to everything we wanted while still being peaceful and relaxing.The home was exceptionally clean, spacious, and thoughtfully organized. One thing we really appreciated was the kitchen. It was well stocked, with quality pots, pans, dishware, cooking tools, and an excellent knife set that made preparing meals easy.The amenities were outstanding as well. Having access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club and the community gym was a huge bonus and added a lot to our stay. The pool and hot tub were both in great shape. No issues heating the hot tub. The backyard is directly in the sun for most of the afternoon and pool water was always great.The owner was also excellent to work with. Communication was prompt, friendly, and responsive from booking through checkout. Photos on listing are accurate. Note the pullout in the downstairs space isn't a traditional bed but more futon style. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-maintained property in a great location with everything needed for an extended stay. We highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We stayed here for a week in June 2026 with our adult children, their spouses, and our 3 teen and pre teen grandchildren. This was a well located property. The kids enjoyed using the bikes from the house to explore the nearby public beach and the community pool. The private beach club was nice for snorkeling. The house is spacious and comfortable. The detached Ohana was great for those who had to take remote work meetings as it was away from the chaos of the main house. The kitchen is OK for heating things up and making breakfast, but it is not well equipped if you really want to cook something elaborate or do any baking. It is equipped with an induction cooktop. The cleaning staff had hidden the instructions behind the toaster, so we were at a loss for how to turn it on. Finally my son figured it out using a You Tube video. Further frustration was caused by the fact that some of the pots and pans in the house don't work on the induction cooktop. But despite this minor inconvenience, we really loved the house and had a marvelous family vacation. Highly recommended.

We’ve stayed at this resort quite a few times. This is absolutely our favorite villa. We will always stay here at this rental from now on . The place was clean and ready for our arrival. Checkin was easy and straight forward. Instructions were clear. Kitchen and bathrooms are all well equipped. The gated community is really well kept and the community pool is nice. There was plenty of room in the driveway for two SUV's. The only bummer is that there is new construction going on directly behind the unit. Other than that, the unit and the location are really fantastic.

This is a beautiful home in a very nice area. The private beach is great for snorkeling and beaching it. Only thing that could make it better is more than one set of bath towels per person and more than one kitchen towel. Other than that, we had a party of ten and fit very comfortably!

We have stayed nine or ten times at properties at the Mauna Lani Resort and this was our favorite. We were a party of seven and the house fit beautifully. It is well laid out, and in great condition, and the host was friendly and responsive. The community facilities (two pools, hot tub, and fitness center) were the best we've experienced. Ka' Milo is close to the grocery store and other shops, and the Beach Club is less than ten minutes away by car.

The house is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully appointed, with upscale décor, modern amenities, and lush landscaping that provides both shade and privacy within a safe gated community. We traveled as two families, and everyone absolutely loved the place.Kudos also to Ellis, our property management contact, who was extremely responsive to every minor question we had and was very flexible and communicative throughout the check-in and check-out process.The community pools were well maintained and never crowded. Both the lap pool and the resort-style pool were great for adults as well as kids, and there were wonderful shaded tables for picnics or simply relaxing by the pool while watching the kids swim.Access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club was another big plus—the kids had a great time at the sandy beach and cove. The location was also ideal: it felt like a perfect midpoint for heading south for snorkeling trips, or east for Volcanoes National Park and stargazing excursions.There is also a Foodland just a few minutes from the community, which made it very convenient to pick up quick meals, snacks, or ready-made food items to take along on outings.Highly recommend this place!

The house was great. We loved the view of the golf course and pond which attracted lots of wild goats and loved seeing the evening migration of the white egrets that would fly in every evening into the trees across the course it was very peaceful. The beds were comfy and had everything we needed. There is construction going on with new houses getting built next door but it was never bothersome. We loved our stay!

Great location. The big issue was cleanliness. There were mold issues in all bathrooms. The sheets were noticeably musty in one bedroom. The furniture outside is deteriorated and is almost unusable. This place has lost attention to detail.

Do not book until owner addresses the hornet issue. There is a significant hornets nest in the pool wall that can not be sprayed while pool is in use. We also have pictures of multiple nests under outside furniture and on couch pillows that were not treated. Unfortunately due to this the pool was not accessible during the day nor could you open the back sliding doors. The management company in response to not giving any financial discount stated that it is a property wide issue and was not there problem. They also said they were willing to spray the pool wall and I told them no. This is true as I did not want the chemicals in the pool with my children. There maintenance manager said the same about not wanting his grand babies out there as well and understood our concerns. Our family are also property owners in Ka Milo and with proper pest treatment it can be controlled. For the price that you pay and to not be able to utilize the backyard it was very disappointing. There are many other properties to rent on this beautiful island.

This home was just perfect for our time on the Big Island. The place was spotless upon arrival and was very well stocked. Lots of room for all of us in the living spaces, and the backyard ... a moment of silence! The view was amazing and we spent many hours just enjoying it. The pool was the perfect size and depth. The bedrooms were spacious with nice linens, and the en-suite bathrooms in each bedroom were appreciated. I would be remiss not to mention how much we enjoyed the complimentary golf cart that took us to the store, the private beach, and beyond. Thank you Gather Vacations for a fab time.

There were some little bugs in a couple of the bedrooms, we called and they came out and sprayed. The neighborhood was very quiet, we had a great restful vacation.

From the start, communication with the hosts was excellent, responsive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.The house itself exceeded our expectations. It was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need, especially for beach days. There were plenty of beach towels, chairs, a cooler, bikes and floaties. The kitchen was fully equipped and made it easy to cook and enjoy meals at home.One of our favorite features was the beautiful lanai. The large sliding doors that open completely from the living room created a seamless indoor-outdoor living space, with a great view and the perfect spot to unwind.Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. This place is definitely as advertised with a few asterisk's. Home is well manicured, beds are very comfortable. Nice quiet backyard, very secluded. There is no view of the ocean, obstructed by tree growth. Pool was a nice bonus. Furniture is not very comfortable in main living room. Downstairs is a bit better but without a view. Outdoor/pool furniture is a bit dated as well. All needs to be replaced/updated IMO. Overall - well worth the extra spend. Would absolutely rent this place again

The rec center with the swimming pool and exercise room was within walking distance and very convenient. The private beach and other beaches nearby were fabulous. Best place to rent on the Big Island! We are thankful for the clear instructions, tips and tricks, and website portal. We especially enjoyed: -the grill (extra tank needed and was ready for us!) -games to keep our kids off screens -bikes to keep us all moving -gym facilities and trails close to the house for physical activity -Beach Club has wonderful snorkeling and sand for playing -a rare (!) set of great chef knives (cooking at home saved us tons of money and restaurant headaches) -pool and spa for our private use -open floor plan kept us all involved with each other -lanai for breezy afternoons -bathroom setup is great for big groups -privacy and quiet outdoor areas -Sonos for our beach tunes This is our second time in this neighborhood and we'll be back!

A lovely home in a great location. Pool was enjoyable. Kitchen well-stocked. The controls on the stovetop were a bit tricky, even with the directions at hand. The snorkel equipment came in handy, as did the hand cart to haul things to the beach. All in all, our stay was fabulous.

This property is an absolutely fantastic, and Jim, the owner/host could not have been more responsive or helpful whenever we had a question (even though he literally covered everything in his pre-arrival correspondence). Beautiful house with open space, inside and outside private places to relax, large community pool and hot tub, fitness center, clean and quiet grounds (even over spring break). There were people at the pool, but it never felt crowded, and we always multiple places to choose from poolside.We spent a week, 5 adults and 2 kids. The house was roomy with an open floor plan for family time, yet private areas for down time too. Plenty of pots, pans, spice rack for basics, coffee pot and Keurig. There were games and puzzles and multiple paid channels on Roku. Garage was stocked with multiple beach chairs, snorkel gear, pool floats and beach towels. There is a close grocery store and the Mauni Lani Beach Resort was a short drive (less than 10 minutes). The water is great—easy for swimming and snorkeling from the beach. We saw a large variety of fish without having to pay for a guided trip.
