This place is definitely as advertised with a few asterisk's. Home is well manicured, beds are very comfortable. Nice quiet backyard, very secluded. There is no view of the ocean, obstructed by tree growth. Pool was a nice bonus. Furniture is not very comfortable in main living room. Downstairs is a bit better but without a view. Outdoor/pool furniture is a bit dated as well. All needs to be replaced/updated IMO. Overall - well worth the extra spend. Would absolutely rent this place again

It fit our group of 8 adults plus 1 baby very well. We appreciated the high chair and playpen provided. The rec center with the swimming pool and exercise room was within walking distance and very convenient. The private beach and other beaches nearby were fabulous. The food store was literally 5 minutes away. The house and landscaping is beautiful.

Best place to rent on the Big Island! We are thankful for the clear instructions, tips and tricks, and website portal. We especially enjoyed: -the grill (extra tank needed and was ready for us!) -games to keep our kids off screens -bikes to keep us all moving -gym facilities and trails close to the house for physical activity -Beach Club has wonderful snorkeling and sand for playing -a rare (!) set of great chef knives (cooking at home saved us tons of money and restaurant headaches) -pool and spa for our private use -open floor plan kept us all involved with each other -lanai for breezy afternoons -bathroom setup is great for big groups -privacy and quiet outdoor areas -Sonos for our beach tunes This is our second time in this neighborhood and we'll be back!

A lovely home in a great location. Pool was enjoyable. Kitchen well-stocked. The controls on the stovetop were a bit tricky, even with the directions at hand. The snorkel equipment came in handy, as did the hand cart to haul things to the beach. All in all, our stay was fabulous.

This property is an absolutely fantastic, and Jim, the owner/host could not have been more responsive or helpful whenever we had a question (even though he literally covered everything in his pre-arrival correspondence). Plus there was a concierge available by cell phone!There were many unexpected perks and amenities ranging from a lot of gear, toys and other beach/pool equipment to access to a wonderful pool and magnificent beach club.We are already planning to return in 2027!!!

There were 7 of us, 3 generations. 3 adults and 4 teenagers. The layout of this unit was perfect for our group. A couple in the master suite, 2 kids in each bedroom, and Grandma in the ohana suite. There was enough space for privacy for all. The media room was a bonus.The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfasts, lunch, snacks, and cooking dinner every night. (Thank you, Son, for cooking.) The pool and spa were used after fun days in the sun at the beach. I would rent this unit again, if our group needed this setup. (I travel with different family groups.)

The pool was great and the house was well appointed. The only things that were frustrating to us, were the need to ask for the codes to things (they were not given in advance) such as the gate code to the community and the code to the side garage door. I feel like any codes to things you would naturally need access to should be included clearly in the welcome email. The only other issue we had was with the bbq. It was in such a deplorable condition that it would actually catch fire easily even while using on low temperatures. We asked for it to be cleaned, and the property manager was very responsive. However, the maintenance people who must have come while we were out did NOT clean the bbq at all. My husband did his best to clean it so we could use it, which is not ideal when you do not have the proper equipment, such as gloves, shop-vac, etc. Overall, that was the most frustrating part of the stay. No one wants to cook everything indoors while it is nearly 80 degrees outside and the A/C is not allowed to go below 73. These bbq's should be cleaned after every guest, or at a minimum once a month, for safety reasons.

We had such a great time at the pools and the oversized pavilion was awesome when it was too rainy to go to the beach but the kids still wanted to swim. We would love to stay here again!

The host was responsive to our questions and we enjoyed a lovely stay. The unit is well appointed and very comfortable, especially after spending a day at the nearby beach or pool. We all loved the pool pass to the Hilton and especially the grandkids. Grocery and restaurants or shopping are close by and the unit itself is situated to feel quiet and secluded, like a little slice of paradise. I would definitely return.

The pool alarm going in and out the back door each time was very annoying. The pool got alot of leaves, bugs and clutter. A very limited supply of toilet paper and we ran out. Was not at all happy with the MGT. who would not allow us a later check out time when the property had no one renting the place for another week. Other wise, it worked out great. Thanks

We were adventurers to every corner of the island! From getting poured on in the rain forest to bogie boarding at the public beach nearby to zipping over and through the tree tops, it was a fun time had by all. We even stopped at an authentic little Hawaiian food stand and ate the real Hawaiian food made by a couple of Hawaiian women! Just a wonderful experience and authentic! A few days at the private beach club and it rounded out our time here. The grocery store nearby is just wonderful with a little bit of everything and the Poke was wonderful!

We had some issues when we first arrived. The bedding was not clean, there appeared to be pink mold in the bathroom, and the washing machine contained cleaning rags inside.We contacted the host immediately, and to their credit, the issues were addressed the next day with cleaning and fixes.However, the initial condition of the property was disappointing, and it affected our overall experience. While the host did respond, this is not a place we would choose to stay again.

This home was perfect for our family vacation! It felt like home away from home. Our kids and grandkids loved it! The beach extras in the garage were an added bonus. We played in the sand and gave snorkeling a try, without having to rent equipment.The community pool was great and access to the Mauna Lani beach club was awesome! We were so disappointed in the property that we left 10 days early. We have rented many properties through VRBO and have never had an issue like this.Our intent was to have our daughter and son-in-law join us with their new baby, but we did not find the property suitable. The longer we stayed the more bugs we had to dispatch.We contacted the management company to let them know we left early and the property was ready for cleaning. The management company did not respond so we had to follow up with them.Simply put, anyone would have higher expectations.We have photos of the items noted below.The living room furniture is stained.The blinds in the living room and master bedroom are broken, dirty and don't function well.The lanai couch/chairs were filthy (the management company did come clean them - thank you).The lanai couch does not go with the lanai table. Imagine sitting on a couch at your kitchen table.The bathrooms were not clean and both tubs had the drains removed.The coffee maker was broken (they did replace this - thank you).The washer and dryer are in rough shape – it’s not clear they have ever been cleaned.The light in the refrigerator doesn't work.The bottom line is the property does not line up with the description and historical ratings.

The house was absolutely perfect - wonderful location, comfortable beds, great view of Mauna Kea every morning. It was great space for comfortable family gathering. Along with the house, we had access to the community pool, hot tub, and Mauna Lani beach club. The owners had fully stocked the home with linens, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, floaties, snorkels, laundry detergent, amongst some items.The only downside was that the local maintenance team was not responsive - fortunately we did not have any major issues - only a slow draining tub in one of the bathrooms. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything was good couple things to bring to the hosts attention, the house could use a deep cleaning, if could be the salt air but the furniture felt dirty. Only 2 of the 4 adult bikes worked, the snorkel equipment was not cleaned, the chairs had garbage in them. The small downstairs bathroom had a leak. Yes for the most part all was well. We had to call on a few things( diahwasher loose in cabinet and lower basket is very ‘wonky’) spa was having trouble working, some furniture in and outside is quite tired. But best element about Blue Lagoon was the team at the office! They were always VERY responsive, prompt and pleasant! They were awesome! Thanks for a nice stay-

We stayed as a big family with several little kids and the home was perfect for our needs. Very spacious. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and utensils, most of our meals were made at the home. The home is close to a pool on the property within walking distance and has access to a private beach which we really enjoyed. The host was very accommodating and his response rate was very quick. He allowed us to check out much later on our last day as we had little kids and our flight was late in the evening. Overall we had a wonderful experience and look forward to coming back again in the future.

The beds were so comfy, There was ample home supplies, towels, beach gear. The kitchen had everything we needed. Instructions were clear, supplies were labeled, the rental company was very organized, communicative and responsive. Very kind of the owner to share the golf cart- which made getting around the development much more efficient. We loved the pool as well, and the amenities pool and gym was gorgeous. We would absolutely stay here again if we could be so lucky! We had a very luxurious vacation and are so grateful.
