The view is truly unparalleled. The unit is decorated with lovely expensive artwork and the kitchen is beautifully stocked with heavy utensils, sharp heavy knifes, crystal glasses and lovely porcelain dishes. The beds are comfortable and the TV is huge. The agent Annie was responsive and professional, as she was once a butler. She is truly interested in her clients having a five-star experience. She did all she could to help us enjoy our much needed, highly anticipated vacation.

This condo is perfect for a couple. We truly were able to relax an enjoy our stay because the condo was well-stocked with normal items for cooking, going to beach, etc. View of the golf course and an amazing view of Mauna Kea. The only thing that would be nice is if there were some plastic cups for the pool area. That was the only item we could not find and there were none close by to buy, so we improvised. All good!

Before we start with the property, let me tell you about Annie. She is by far the most sincere, attention to detail host I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. This is our second time renting this condo on the point and will never stay anywhere else. Annie goes above and beyond to make sure every single detail is taken care of from champagne upon arrival already chilling in a ice bucket, decorated with a fresh fruit bowl and a special order cake all waiting for us to make my fiance feel special and celebrated. The location of this condo and all of the amenities is something you could only dream of. The views of the golf course, the ocean and dophins - yes we saw dolphins swimming from the lanai was heavenly. We cannot wait to book another trip the Big Island and stay here. THANK YOU ANNIE!

Very easy to completely relax in this condo. Nicely decorated and furnished for even beach activities. Complex pool/jacuzzi/bbq are very nice and within easy walking distance. Beach access is terrific with either a car beach pass or as a walking path across the lava then the golf course and around a bend. (There was no need to even communicate with property manager so 1* just because entry had to be filled in to complete survey.)

Unit is furnished in all new decor/finishes, with high end appliances, and very comfy master bed. Our college age son slept on pull out sofa, which to my relief was also comfy. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with lovely landscaped grounds.
Property co, Hawaii Luxury, was awesome—very responsive to any questions or concerns we had; would not hesitate to rent from them again!
If it helps other first timers, the pool is located in front of D/E building. Also, if you’re looking for more local feel restaurants, our family really enjoyed going to Waimea area most nights (30 mins away). Kona was a bit further to drive back at night, but we did visit a few good ones close to Kona Commons area. Mahalo for a great stay!

Amazing condo, I highly recommend it. We’ve stayed in Puako area before, and this was our favorite place so far. The home location provides easy access to shopping and dining. The kitchen is well stocked, with plenty of room for everybody to enjoy. We made use of the access to the beach club that comes with the home, this gave us the feeling of having hotel amenities. It’s a great family atmosphere. We also snorkeled right out the back door, off of the 15th hole, amazing. Teens with us used the bikes included with the home, they liked the freedom to explore the bikes gave them. Note, there are stairs down to the front door, which maybe an accessibility issue for some, once in the home very accessible.

Truly loved our stay at this condo. The view was unbelievable, and although you could see it from living room as well, we basically lived on the lanai, which is very spacious w/ a couch and chairs with enough room to do yoga in the morning without rearranging furniture. The kitchen is very well equipped and we loved the Tommy Bohama chairs for the beach. Also, the property management company was great to work with and b/c they didn't have guests the days we arrived and left, they let us check in a bit early and check out a bit late, which was super helpful, and we were very grateful for the flexibility on that! Will hopefully rent again some day soon!

Coastal Dreams was exceptional. The property was really nice and the location overlooking the golf course and ocean were perfect. We didn’t realize how nice the Beach Club access was but that was a great value in itself... What a bonus! Our family spent a lot of time just relaxing at the property and at the Beach Club. Taking in the sunsets was one of our favorites as well, and the home is also in close proximity to some of the best beaches on the island. Mahalo, we could not have asked for a better vacation.

Condo is in an amazing quiet location with a fabulous view of the water. The hosts are fantastic, the kitchen is amply stocked, and toys/leisure extras are perfect. We spent every morning on the patio in the comfy chairs listening to the ocean and drinking coffee. The community is conveniently located close to shops and beaches. We typically always like to try new places when we travel, but have settled that as a family, the Coastal Dreams Villa is perfect for us. We will return and stay HERE. Just fantastic.

We loved the property so much we are ready to book again. The sunsets from the Lanai can’t be beat. So lovely to have your own private sunset. The property was so well supplied that you felt right at home. It didn’t feel stingy or cheap. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at home. The property manager was responsive and generous. There was enough space for my teenage boys to feel they had privacy and could escape their parents! The pony wall in the primary bedroom limits privacy a bit. Not a problem but just something to be aware of.

Dani, You were very quick to bring new light bulbs, mattress pad and bath mats. Also the extra cleaning service was wonderful. I believe the young couple was from Chile. Thank you also for the mail deliveries. A month away brings challenges when it comes to paying bills.
A few suggestions we have; the sheets in the guest room are just okay, the bath towels in all the baths are below par. Even washed with hot water and thoroughly dried there was a musty odor.Kitchen towels(2) burgundy, below par as also (2) black cloth napkins. How about some color to brighten the kitchen. We left proper coffee filters for the coffee maker.As in other Island rentals we have experienced, we were greeted with a fresh pineapple and a bag of coffee beans in the kitchen. We spent a week here and absolutely loved it. My husband and I and another couple - we loved having two "master suites". The Lani was a dream, new furniture and an amazing view. Could walk to the pool or the beach club easily. The kitchen was fully stocked with more than I have in my house at home and the main closet had coolers, beach chairs, beach umbrella, etc. Hope to return soon!

The Point in Mauna Lani perfectly enhanced our laid back 30th anniversary celebration. Each day began and ended on the lanai enjoying the mountain & ocean views!! Morning walks right out the door took us to ocean and beautifully landscaped areas. The Beach Club was perfect for mornings we wanted to stay close, and afternoons found us at the pool. We used the beach chairs when we went to Kua Bay. The cooler was great for the shopping trip in Kailua. Most meals we prepared in because this unit has the best seat on the island.
Check in, etc was effortless, the resort is quiet and very well maintained. Enjoy!

The property is located in a very nice place and has an incredible view. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. We weren’t provided with enough towels and the ones that were there within and worn the kitchen wasn’t clean. We had to do the dishes upon arrival overall, it’s a nice place, but could use some maintenance and better housekeeping and definitely better linens And softer beds.

This property is every bit as good as advertised. The location can’t be beat and the amazing views made our stay magical. We enjoyed watching the sunset each night from the property. The nearby grocery store had everything we needed to eat our meals at the condo and the kitchen was well-stocked with high-end appliances, making cooking a breeze. We stayed in this unit for two weeks this March 2023 and while we agree that the location and views are amazing, they can't overcome the other problems with this unit (as mentioned in previous reviews), specifically the "hole" in the middle of the living room leading out to the lanai. We arrived in late afternoon, with plenty of sunshine, and while walking to the lanai to take in the view, my husband didn’t slip, trip or stumble, he simply stepped into space. Fortunately he didn’t hit his head on the hard stone tile or hit the sliding glass door, as that could have catastrophic. His injuries were not insignificant.
I immediately called the management company, Paradise in Hawaii (PIH) for advice and they gave me directions to Waimea (a 1/2 hour drive away) to pick up bandages and medical supplies. I called PIH again the next day and they did send over their maintenance man to put blue painters tape on the floor to give some indication that the steps were there. He also moved the large coffee table away from the stairs so there was enough room to walk past. Apparently PIH has known about this situation but neither they nor the owner of the unit chose to do anything about it. The entire unit is on one level except for the unexpected hole in the floor.
I contacted PIH three additional times during our stay (and included photos of the injuries, which I also sent to our doctor for instructions on to how to properly treat the wounds) and I have yet to hear from them about either moving to another unit to avoid the "hole" or how they planned to remedy it. We’ve spent the past 2 weeks bandaging my husband's cuts and bruises, and because of them, he has been unable to fully enjoy Hawaii and the beach on our vacation.
We’re in the hospitality business ourselves and are acutely aware of the need to stay on top of potential problems and identify them before they become liabilities. Sadly, both the owner and management company have put their guests at risk and I highly recommend neither renting this unit nor any other from this uncommunicative and negligent company.

I have never written a review but felt compelled to after our recent stay. We have been to the Big Island three times and love this area. However, we were disappointed this trip by our rental. It felt as though the management group is not keeping up with the upkeep on this property. We were told someone inspects it beforehand but I find that hard to believe. A lightbulb needed to be replaced in the entrance hall, the outdoor dining table took three washes, before it was clean enough to use, there was old dried bird poop on the lanai floor, dining chairs and two loungers, the kitchen counter had not been properly cleaned, there was a clump of hair on the shower floor and strands on the shower wall., the main shower had black grunge under the silicone, the. main bedroom carpet is stained, we couldn’t find bikes labeled for the unit and when we called we were told to look in the carport. We found some bikes locked up but none were labeled for the unit. Based on what was there -with flat tires and rusted chains, we decided to just walk everywhere,. The doors and screen doors to the lanai are very difficult to open on one side.
Our first morning, we were awoken due to workers accessing the roof through a trapdoor on the landing by our entry door. The worker subsequently dropped the trapdoor breaking it and then precariously placed it back in the ceiling. This trapdoor was located outside the front door so entering and exiting was difficult in order to not stand under the broken trap door. We called management and they did take it down but just left the broken debris and door on the landing for three days. There was no communication about the work that was being done to the units. Nor did anyone communicate that the trapdoor would be fixed. We showed up one day to discover it had been replaced. Communication regarding the work would have been nice.
Cons: pool is small, no gym, no table on the deck between the lounge chairs making it difficult to enjoy a drink on the lanai, lighting in living area and primary bedroom/bathroom is poor, far distance from the community grills (no grilling on lanai) so we had to drive over to grill fish and then drive back otherwise the fish would get cold, cleanliness and overall upkeep
Pros: quiet complex (without the contractors), walking distance to the beach via the coastal trail or road, community grills were very clean, view is lovely, kitchen is beautiful

This is a prime location with a beautiful view of the signature hole of the Mauna Lani golf course. The kitchen is small, as shown in the photos. When we arrived we put our groceries in the refrigerator, only to notice later that it wasn't working. We then noticed a second refrigerator in the dining area. I see now a review from December that mentions the broken refrigerator. It would have been nice to know up front.
More information on a few things in the listing: The bikes available are for one adult and one child. Judging by their condition, they had not been ridden or maintained in a while (also mentioned in a recent previous review). The shower curtain in the third bath is held up by a spring loaded temporary rod that fell down when the wall got wet. It knocked my daughter in the head more than once. Finally, the "Private Beach Club (access included)" does not include access to the fitness center at the Private Beach Club unless you are on their list. We texted the property managers, who were responsive on other issues but not on this one. Overall, a great experience with some minor maintenance issues.

This condo was listed and advertised as a Premium Rental. The price was premium, but that’s where “premium” ended. The view of the ocean was indeed amazing, but the owners had nothing to do with that. The unit itself was a huge disappointment. Honestly, we’ve been in dorm rooms that have been better appointed and furnished than this condo. The pictures were very careful not to give details on the OLD furniture (at least 20+ years old) in the living area and master bedroom. The carpet was clean, but tattered. The glass surfaces needed to be cleaned, and to do so we had to buy our own Windex. The furniture in the living area was so uncomfortable that we actually put pillows on the floor and sat there when we watched movies. Appliances were up to date, but the kitchen was outfitted with the minimum, in terms of tableware, etc. Cooking was a challenge, given the kitchen tools available. There was only ONE oven mitt. We have been to the Mauna Lani property at least 25 times over the last 35 years, and this was by far the worst unit we have ever rented. I would NOT recommend it at all.

Location, location, location. We could see and hear the waves. We saw a whale our first day. First the spout and then a full breach. Sunsets were sublime. The 10 minute walk to the beach was fine and as advertised. Proximity to the pool, hot tub, and community party kitchen and bbq facilities was ideal. We discovered a bicycle our last day and wish we'd known it was there and would have been nice if there was more than one. Also, it's rusty and needs a servicing. The refrigerator was broken when we arrived and while the management company was quick to respond, they only sent their in-house maintenance man the next day, who had no ability to fix a refrigerator. He was sent to confirm the fridge was indeed broken, which is irritating because I'm certainly capable of diagnosing a refrigerator that isn't cooling, viewing a temperature reading of 67 degrees and a blinking service light. Rather than fix the fridge, they sent an additional one the second day that sat in the dining area for our entire stay. We had purchased $350 in groceries, but there was no offer for a refund. The bed linens didn't stay on the bed. The thermostat cannot be turned down below 72 degrees. 71 at night would have been more comfortable. I understand people who don't know how to use a thermostat properly and waste electricity by over-cooling, but we're not those people. Overall, still 5 stars, but just trying to offer some constructive criticism for improvement. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful condo.

We enjoyed the view from the lanai watching the whales and having access to the beach club was fantastic. The snorkeling at Mauna Lani is some of the best on the island. Highly recommend it!

Our family of 4 had an amazing one-week stay during the Christmas holiday break and can't wait to return in the near future. The property exceeded our expectations - the photos do not do it justice and the view in person is incredible. The kitchen was well-stocked, and we actually found it fun to cook as we really felt at home. The location was perfect, offering a great blend of natural walks and water activities, with many trails and a beach club within walking distance. Annie, the host, was truly exceptional. She greeted us on arrival, gave us a tour of the property and provided many great recommendations. This was a first for us, as in all our previous visits to the Hawaii islands, we had never met a host in person. Throughout our stay, Annie was incredibly helpful and professional, even going above and beyond by securing a last-minute dinner reservation on Christmas Eve. Thank you, Annie, we look forward to seeing you soon!

Loved the location and views from this condo. My review is mixed.
Pros:
Lovely location, prompt responses from property team (even though we couldn't get early check in or late check out), very well stocked unit with plenty of beach provisions (boogie boards, life vests, pool noodles, umbrella etc), items for our kids (bed bumper, high chair, audio monitors, kids cups etc). The unit is spacious with stunning ocean views.
Cons:
Was disappointed, however, in the cleanliness of the unit. Found brown stains on the comforter in one of the rooms and washed it myself. The floors were so dirty our feet were black. Dust bunnies in the corners. The furniture was pretty worn out, but that wouldn't have bothered us if the place was a bit cleaner upon arrival.

Our trip to the Big Island and this Mauna Lani Pt property could not have gone smoother & better. Top marks to the Rental Manager (Jason Mills) and his team for being extraordinarily organized & an attention to detail throughout our stay. From sending out checkin instructions, to having an effective guest playbook at the property to address just about every conceivable question, Jason was on it. And for the rare question that he did not anticipate, his response time & resolution were extraordinary. In terms of the property itself, it was precisely as advertised and then some. Location was terrific, the unit was beautifully appointed and had all the ammenites that one would want, if you owned the property. Maintenance of the grounds & unit were equally impressive. We certainly be planning a return visit and will recommend this service to all of our friends. Thx

We really enjoyed our stay at Mauna Lani Point. The home is probably the best location in the community with absolutely stunning views up and down the coast. We loved sitting on the patio listening to the waves crashing on the shoreline. The home has beautiful Koa furniture. The beach toys and bikes were a plus for us but the walk along to the coast to the beach club without having to drive was why we love Mauna Lani Point. We will be back!

This was a beautiful property with views of the golf course and ocean. Perfect for 2 couples. Two improvement points which I was not aware of until checking in. Air regulated at 72 degrees which sometimes left us a little warm in the condo especially in the bedroom close to the front door. Opening the patio door and using fans helped to cool but never really cooled this one bedroom. The second point was the hot water which was also regulated. I like to take hot showers and only was able to enjoy warm showers. I get it. Trying to save money but for a condo in this price range, I would prefer to control. Al in all, condo very nice. Beds very comfortable and having beach chairs and cooler available for the beach was nice. Jason also allowed us to stay until we left for our flight which was at 10 pm so that was helpful and allowed us to enjoy even more sun before departing. Jason was also very responsive to my emails and helpful with info on the volcano.
