Townhome was exceptional with newer furnishings and top of the line appliances. Very clean. Luxury experience. Garage included everything we needed for the beach. Property on whole was lovely with beautiful trees and flowers, walking paths, pool and spa. Location has easy walking or driving access to multiple beaches. Beach Club access was a huge difference maker with really good snorkeling in a cove good for the whole family - variety of reef fish, sea turtles, sea cucumbers, urchins, etc. Resort bars and restaurants served good drinks and food with relaxed outdoor atmosphere. Communication with host was great. Proactive check-in details, very thorough. Onsite property manager was helpful and available for our needs. Everyone was responsive and thoughtful. Huge mahalo to Jamie, Francine and Tannis for making our stay on the Big Island the best ever!

Had all amenities needed, close to beach, quiet, comfortable beds, A/C was nice. The only issue was with the manager at the Fairways. Apparently, they recently decided to lock the gate to get into the property and if there were multiple people staying with only one key it was irritating and if there was an evacuation it was difficult to get out.

Our family stayed here for 6 nights and we were so satisfied with our stay! The townhouse is exactly as advertised: beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. We really appreciated the coolers/ice packs/beach towels/snorkel gear that is stored in the garage. We made use of the propane grill for a couple of the nights. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook comfortably. The master bedroom mattress is supportive and very comfortable, as is the living room furniture. We would stay at this property again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Enjoyed the easy check in with digital locks - no stopping for keys. The condo was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed morning coffee on the tropical setting lanai. But I recall the deciding factor for our choice here was the beach access. And it indeed is a beautiful setting. We had dinner one night at the restaurant at the beach and we all agreed it was the best dinner of our trip. The location was a good anchor spot for visiting all points of the island but we wished we had been a little closer to Kailua-Kona. Overall, a great experience

The condo was well appointed and equipped with a comfortable and spacious master bedroom. The full-sized kitchen had condiments and spices for use. The patio was quite private, shielded with a tall bamboo hedge. However, that also made it feel a bit hemmed in with no view of grounds or scenery. The tree canopy attracted lots of birds for viewing from the patio, which was nice. I wish the patio grill was in better working order and there wasn’t an additional $25 cleaning charge for its use. The hotel nearby offered an outdoor bar from which to view the fabulous sunsets. The private beach club was great! The Pool just steps away from the condo was beautiful!

We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery with so much to do. Lots of beach equipment including snorkeling gear.
However, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the place especially in the kitchen - dirty dishes, greasy pots & baking sheets in the cupboards. Coffee pot & toaster needed cleaning. Drink rings on glass tabletops. Lots of dust on ceiling fan upstairs and under master bed. Mold in master shower. The whole place needed a DEEP cleaning.

LOVED this home in Mauna Lani. Everything about the property is wonderful. We spent most mornings and evenings on the lanai enjoying the sounds of Hawaii. This is the most well stocked home we have ever rented including beach gear, laundry detergent, toiletry items, etc. We had to buy very little at the grocery store besides food.
The location is excellent - close to a great grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants and beaches.
The private beach club is a huge bonus. We snorkled there nearly every day and had dinner at the restaurant several times.
We highly recommend taking the beach chairs down to Holoholokai Park to watch the sunsets. Incredible.

We rented this house with another couple and it had the perfect amount of space for 4 to be comfortable! We used the beach chairs in the garage after a quick walk to the Fairmont Orchid. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't have time to enjoy the community pool or the BBQ in the patio, but will definitely need to stay longer next time!

We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for our trip to the Big Island! The fact that you have a pool within arms distance and access to two private beaches we couldn’t have asked for anything better! We never really had to leave our area - except for shave ice at the Original Big Island Shave Ice, Co!

I loved that the unit was right next to the pool, since I went every day. I also liked that there was a downstairs bedroom as I have a bad knee. The upstairs bedroom and bath were quite spacious but I enjoyed not having to climb the steps. There were some aspects that we did not like, but I addressed these with the hosts. Fabulous condo in Kamuela with everything (!) you might want, convenient to visits to Kona, and closer to Mauna Kea than staying in Kona. The condo is so nice you might not want to leave, but golf, pool, beach, grocery and restaurants are close by if you do. The bed may be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in on vacation. 5+ stars. Thank you for a lovely, luxurious place to stay.

We visited the Big Island 22 years after we came here on our honeymoon and stayed at the Orchid. I was thrilled to find this property right next to the Orchid, for use to return, now with our boys, ages 10 and 15. The community is placed amount the golf courses and is peaceful and quiet. The property was well designed, well-maintained and had all the accommodations and accoutrements that you could need for your stay. We arrived late in the night and the home was warm and welcoming for us and pristinely clean. We loved the balcony outside the master bedroom, the outdoor patio and the spacious kitchen. The master bedroom is incredibly spacious with a super comfortable bed. The pool was excellent for a quick dip after a day on the golf course or exploring all the Big Island has to offer. And we absolutely loved the private beach. My boys loved snorkeling and enjoying the beach club. I wishes I could have spent every day of our visit there but alas, we also had to explore Volcano National Park, golf, and visit Kona.
I was instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived after a very long journey from the East Coast and wa sad to leave at the end of our stay. I would highly recommend this property again and again to anyone that is looking for some more space for their small family when visiting the Big Island and enjoying all the resort that Mauna Lani has to offer from restaurants, to shopping to golf course, fitness center, pool, beach, spa and more. This is our second visit to Mauna Lani Fairways and first time in Jan’s condo and it was a truly exceptional property. There is true pride in ownership that is reflected in the quality of furniture, decor, linens, kitchen ware & beach gear. The owners thought of absolutely everything and were generous with amenities and starters such as coffee pods, Mac nuts and condiments. The private beach club is perfect with cabanas and chaise and great snorkeling. We personally love Hapuna and the Shave Ice truck and shops in Kawaihae. We will most certainly be back. This was our 4th time staying in this community and we absolutely love it. The condo was perfect! It's the larger 2-bedroom so you never feel crowded, and there's plenty of storage to hide your suitcases, etc. Everything was very clean. The kitchen was well-stocked. The best part was the beach toys are well-stocked too!
We were able to use the snorkel equipment at the local beach and had amazing views of the sea life without driving far or taking a group tour. The boogie boards were handy for Hapuna beach just a few miles north.
The pool and hot tub are awesome when you don't feel like getting sandy, and the pool is a great size. Everything in the area is well-maintained. Can't wait to return!!

Coming back to the Big Island after getting married here at the old Kona Village (RIP) fifteen years ago. Communication and check-in process seamless. Property managers very pleasant and seemed to care. Condo was every bit as advertised and was perfect for us. As ex-VRBO owners, we were amazed how stocked the kitchen was with pots, pans, dinnerware, glasses, etc. We know how hard this is to keep these items in stock and also keep them nice. Everything first class. Bikes were a great touch, and we used them almost every day. Owners beach was super-crowded when we were there, but we were there during spring break, so there you go. We had a fantastic second honeymoon, restful, quiet, convenient to all. Loved it.

Love these townhouses for our rambunctious family-rooms are all separate and quiet, plenty of space for everyone. Just the perfect jumping off spot for all of our favorites on the Big Island. This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this complex. This time we also bought along our Grandson and his Mother. We very pleased with the overall condition of the unit. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything we needed during our stay was there. Plenty of dishes and cookware. We grilled during our stay. The Grandson used the gear in the garage. He wanted to swim every night after returning from each days adventure. There's a small work out facility. It has adequate equipment to work out. There's a clip board to schedule a time slot. The room can get quite warm running on the treadmill. The loop around the complex is about 1/2 mile. It's pretty safe to run the streets. Watch out for goats and turkeys.
Parking passes are on a clipboard outside the manager's office. Overall we had a great trip. We definitely would book again.

This is a well-planned and cared-for unit 20 minutes north of the Kona airport.The weather is consistently better there than any place we visited on the island - a pocket paradise. It is near world-famous beaches, has private beach access and boasts a quiet location in its resort.
The home itself is well laid out so a couple can spend their visit on the main floor, with additional bedrooms and bath on the second storey. The kitchen is exceptionally well provisioned, the living area comfortable and the shaded lanai a favorite place for morning coffee. We appreciated the spacious ensuite and particularly enjoyed the thoughtfully put-together walk-in closet. Originally we were concerned about parking outside the unit, but found many owners use their garages for golf carts and park in the nearby provided spaces quite happily - we did as well.
Maybe the best feature of all was the support and communication with our hosts, primarily Jamie and Tannis. In all the years we have relied on VRBO rentals, they have simply been the best. Thoughtful, informative, considerate, generous, responsive - they are models for the industry.
So to them, a heartfelt thank you for welcoming us as well as they did in their wonderful home!

This home exceeded our expectations! We stayed with our sons (ages 14 and 17). The first thing that struck us was how clean and kept up the home was! Second was all the extra amenities - washer and dryer, ice machine, cooler, many beach chairs/boogie boards, detergent pods, shampoo, beach towels, extra blankets and 4 beach cruisers. There was even a spare inner tube and tools to fix a tire on one of the bikes and an air pump. The whole upper floor is the master suite which was massive! The other room was small with 2 twin beds but adequate. The open floor plan on the main level was great for family time. We used the grill one night and it worked well. We didn’t spend much time at the pool as we had so many other things to do but it looked very nice and had a key to enter that area. Location of the home was perfect to make it everywhere on the island as we did daily excursions (volcano, hikes, beaches, etc). Our only issue was the parking situation as we sometimes had to walk a couple blocks as there were not open spots in front of our home. The maintenance guy was very responsive when we had an issue with the dishwasher and got it fixed right away. There is a grocery store minutes away to get the necessities. Would definitely return!

Everything was great. The communication with Tannis and Jamie was easy and they were so quick at responding.
The house was clean and well stocked. Loved the welcome basket that they include. Its such a nice touch.
