Overall this was a great stay. The location is great and has good access to nice beaches. It's also close to a Petroglyph trail. Saw goats, mongoose, chickens! The house had plenty of space, was well stocked, the TV worked well, and internet was fine. It was close to the entrance and pool. Things to note: you have to park in spaces down the street and there are not sidewalks. The rooms have privacy curtains, but the one by the upstairs balcony is not. It looks into the bathroom that has no doors. So, getting in and out of the shower and tub leaves you exposed. There's a switch for the jetted tub that is not mentioned anywhere or labelled. If these things don't bother you, this is a great place to stay! I especially liked the area!

Amazing stay! Home is in an amazing location. Beautiful grounds with perfect pool to use each afternoon. Home is great, beds are all comfortable. The hide a couch mattress was so so but there was a great blow up mattress we used instead. Beautiful deck of master to watch sunsets. Private beach access is the incredible and worth booking place alone. Great snorkeling, amazing facilities and chairs there to use. Would stay here again! Thank you!

We had such a great time at the property. The property itself is private and well stocked. We could do star gazing right at the never crowded swim pool when it’s new moon and no clouds. Beautiful! The owner’s beach club is few minutes drive and is fabulous! There’s a trail leading to a snorkeling site where the snorkeling boats stop (just a little further after the famous 15th south course hole), where menta rays can be spotted. We didn’t know until the last day and may try it next time! Foodland is just a couple of minutes away. So convenient for breakfast, fresh fruits, drinks, ice cream and some simple food to go including poke. The owner communicated spontaneously. We would definitely book again if we ever revisit!

We absolutely LOVED our stay! This is the most stocked VRBO we have ever stayed in. It had literally EVERYTHING we needed! One of the bikes had busted tire, we reached out and within 3 hours, the bike was taken to the shop and returned ready to ride! The quick response was so refreshing! We can't wait to stay here again!

What a wonderful home! We arrived late in the evening and the house was full of light, nicely cooled down and a welcome gift in the kitchen. All this says ALOHA! The hpuse was so clean, we felt home in the very second. Nothing missed out in the kitchen, lots of watertoys to grab in the garage. And the BBQ at the terrace was amazing. We loved staying in this secluded two bedroom condo. It was perfect for our family of 4. It has everything you need in the kitchen and tons of beach toys in the garage. We loved walking to Holoholokai beach every night for the gorgeous sunsets. There is a grocery store near by which is nice to swing by and pick up your fixings for dinner on the way home from the beach. Thank you for letting us enjoy the beauty of Hawaii while feeling like we were at home in the condo.

The condo was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was very well stocked, the location was great and we enjoyed that the patio had more privacy and shade than many others in the Fairwinds, and the house was in great condition and very nicely decorated. The management was also very easy to work with and available for questions. Having access to the beach club is one of the biggest perks and they had a good supply of items for the beach - chairs, snorkel stuff, etc. The only thing I would want to let folks know about is the beds are very firm.

We’re a family of five, and this is our third stay at Mauna Lani. The townhome is spacious, spotless, and well-stocked, with a lovely lanai and just steps from the pool. The location is excellent—close to stunning beaches like Hāpuna, Manini’owali, and Mauna Kea. The Mauna Lani Beach Club features a fantastic restaurant with breathtaking views and is perfect for snorkeling.

This was our second time staying at this townhouse, and we hope to come again. It worked very well for our group--4 adults and 2 kids (ages 5 and 10). It is very well equipped--it may be the best equipped place we ever stayed. Great location with easy walk to pool, and nice view on the lanai where we ate all our meals on the outside table. The owner was very responsive when we had a slight problem with the refrigerator. Five stars.

The previous reviews were spot on. We had a wonderful stay in a place that is not your typical VRBO in that you truly feel like a guest in someone's home. Tasteful artwork decorates the walls, and the property has well stocked books, games, dishes and condiments and other extras. A very thick binder outlines everything you need to know. Upscale appliances (ex, stove, coffee maker, etc) and just an all around classy property at a great price. Some nitty gritty comments:1) this place is NOT for messy people, partiers, or folks who don't care for a property. The property provides lots of extras with the understanding that you'll take care of it all.2) make sure and get your parking pass right away at the management office (you can do it off hours, but just do it).3) access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club is a huge plus and was the icing on the cake (a 5 min drive away). It has a nice restaurant and is a very exclusive club in a picturesque bay and was just spectacular.4) If you are comparing locations between Mauna Lani and Waikoloa Beach area, Mauna Lani is quieter, more upscale and just 10 minutes from Waikoloa area. I think Mauna Lani is classier with a grocery store, brewery, beach gear rental and other amenities that you need for a nice vacation.5) Nice breezy fans and good A/C upstairs make for a comfortable sleep. The downstairs master bedroom is massive and the upstairs is very comfortable, too, with even colder A/C. I ran out of characters but stay there!

The condo has everything we needed. Extra spices and food prep items was much appreciated. The beds and pillows were the coziest of our different stays in Hawaii. Lots of room to get a quiet moment from family. The pool was super close for convenience but never loud. The Mauna Lani beach club was a quick drive. Get there early for a parking space. We walked to the resort to see the sea turtles being released on the 4th of July. Rode bikes around the resort area and walked along the shoreline by the Fairmont Orchid. We have stayed at multiple 2 bedroom units in this development, but had extended family join us this time and needed another bedroom. This unit is in a perfect location to easily access the pool area as well as guest parking. The kitchen was probably the best equipped and well labeled of any we have stayed at.

If you’re looking for a place to stay, this place is fantastic. We totally felt at home and had pretty much everything we needed. The interior is very updated and the garage has all kinds of beach toys and gear. We enjoyed having a washer and dryer to clean our clothes after a long day playing at the beach or traveling the island. Anytime I had a question I could call support which was super helpful. We loved this place so much. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding location and space. Accurately described. Well-stocked to start your stay. Very clean. This is our 3rd time staying here on the Big Island (total of 6 party, with an additional 4 of my family staying in another unit) in Mauna Lani, with this trip being the 2nd time in Fairways. The Big Island is our favorite island and all of the amenities that this unit and the resort in general has were perfect. We did have one issue with the parking and charging of a golf cart that our family rented for the duration of our trip. The Fairways Homeowners Association site manager was quite animated in that we can only park one vehicle (either our rental car or the golf cart) in one of the parking spots. There were many open parking spots daily—we were not preventing anyone from parking. The golf cart rental company (Kohala Beach Buggies) was very surprised that this happened given the long record of them renting to guests at the Fairways. The site manager was rude and intrusive during our stay (at one point he drove his golf cart to the rear private patio of our unit during an early morning breakfast and approached my wife [dressed only in her nightgown], elderly mother in law, and myself, but, thankfully, our hosts that manage the unit quickly and effectively intervened and corrected the situation. They really knocked it out of the park with how they handled the situation—kudos to them. This situation could’ve derailed our trip a bit but thanks to them all was well.

We enjoyed our stay in the Fairways at Mauna Lani condo. It’s well appointed with everything you need from beach chairs to bedding. We had a wonderful vacation here. Having access to the beach club and pool was fantastic. You can’t find a better beach on the island. If you have to opportunity to stay in this community I would not miss out. This condo in particular is very comfortable. My husband and I stayed here with our adult children. There is a grocery store, restaurants, and shopping near by within a few minutes. It was hard to leave this lively place.

We had a wonderful stay, the kitchen was fully equipt with everything we needed. It was spacious and accommodated 2 families and three adult children. There were 7 of us in total. Lots of beach chairs, towels, snorkel sets and boogie boards, even coolers! We would definitely like to visit there again! The pool was very close to the room, you could see part of it from the patio. The beaches were fantastic, especially the black sand beach on the property for snorkeling!

We loved this unit so much! Great location within the complex, lanai is very private and we enjoyed our coffee every morning outside. The extras in the garage were also great. We used the bikes, and got good use out of the boogie boards and beach wagon. Access to the Mauna Lani beach club nearby is fantastic. Also loved walking to the Fairmont and petroglyph park to watch the sunsets. We hope to return in the future!

The only two issues we could state was there were no black out curtains in master. Hard to sleep past 5 am when it is so bright. The second bedroom was too hot. The air did not circulate well. But the place is beautiful and clean. We would still stay again.
