An excellent and amazing place to stay. It has easy access to everything you need, pool, beach, grocery place, dining place. STAFF are amazing and very helpful. They care for us. I happen to accidentally forgot my jewelry box and N. Oliva (Housekeeping Mngr) is the BEST! She went out of her way to find it and mail it back to my residence in AZ. I love Mauna Lani and the access to the beach club. The property is walking distance to some restaurants and a grovery store which was so convenient and nice. Great home base for our visit to the island and perfect for our family wiht lots of room to spread out and enjoy when we were there. The pool was lovely for relaxing and the beach club was nice for snorkeling. There was some noise from the maintanence shed some mornings, but that was explained in the description and we were up early due to the time change anyways. We cooked most nights and we had everything that we needed.

We split our stay between the Orchid and this 3br condo at the fairways. Easy walk to grocery and to the Orchid. We rented a car at the Orchid and drove to Kona, Hilo, etc. The condo was perfect for me, my wife and our 2 adult kids and their significant others. Easy walk to pool and pool was not crowded. Literally nothing to be improved upon. We had a great stay!

This home is outstanding. It was truly the highlight of our trip on Big Island. With two kids, we pretty much stayed in one place, watercolor painting on the beautiful lanai, swimming in the resort pool, and enjoying meals at home. This home feels like your best friend invited you to their house and made sure you had everything you needed and more to feel at home. Jan, this is obviously a passion of yours! We couldn’t even find a speck of dirt in any forgotten corner. Plentiful supplies abounded, and we slept like angels on the beds. Garage had tons of extra gear for swimming snorkeling beach days and kids play.

Our family of 3 had an amazing time in this lovely home. Every night we would ride the bikes down to the beach and watch the sunset. During the day we enjoyed our time at the Mauna Lani beach club ( access card provided with home) a great beach for snorkeling and enjoying the private swimming cove. This property was great all around. Plenty of space in the unit. Super clean and well stocked. The garage is filled with equipment for just about any activity you want, biking, snorkeling, boogie boarding, day at the beach, etc. The proximity to the pool can't be beat. You can just hop in right out the back door. The Mauna Lani complex is excellent as well. The unit gives you access to the beach club which is maybe a 5 minute drive. And you can ride your bike or drive to the grocery store and shops just nearby. It was definitely a great vacation spot. I hope we get to return again soon.

Wow! What a nice property! My family and I (total of 6, age range of 9-74) had a splendid time. The check in process was swift, the amenities of the space were as described, and the owner, Carolyn, went above and beyond during our stay--more details on that below.
The extras of the property were perfect--plenty of snorkel and beach gear, a stocked pantry and fridge with more than just basic items--it had everything I needed to cook. There was plenty of space for my large party to spread out and have their own space and privacy.
The home was clean and ready for us upon arrival. We did have one issue during our stay, but the property owner went above and beyond to remedy the situation. The dishwasher broke in the middle of our 16 day stay (which, with our large party, could've been terrible) and the owner had a repair person out at the property very swiftly. Within a couple days, we had a brand new dishwasher installed. I can't say enough how awesome that response was--once again, kudos to Carolyn for taking care of this so quickly!

The unit was spotlessly clean, and the location is excellent for exploring the north Kona coast. A well stocked grocery store is within walking distance, as is Brown’s Beach House, the terrific restaurant at the Fairmont Orchid. The gym room at this development is better equipped than most, though small and a little crowded as a result. It compensates by operating on a reservation system, and we had no difficulty using it whenever we wanted. The pool is beautiful, and was never crowded during our stay.

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 12 and 14 year old daughters) loved our stay. The unit and property are in great shape - we loved the grounds and the unit had everything we needed. The location is perfect - not far from the airport, Kona, and amazing beaches. We really enjoyed the golf course, swimming pool, and beach club (tip - water shoes are helpful for the beach - it is a nice sandy beach but gets rocky as you enter the water; get there early to get a cabana). I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again,

Townhome was exceptional with newer furnishings and top of the line appliances. Very clean. Luxury experience. Garage included everything we needed for the beach. Property on whole was lovely with beautiful trees and flowers, walking paths, pool and spa. Location has easy walking or driving access to multiple beaches. Beach Club access was a huge difference maker with really good snorkeling in a cove good for the whole family - variety of reef fish, sea turtles, sea cucumbers, urchins, etc. Resort bars and restaurants served good drinks and food with relaxed outdoor atmosphere. Communication with host was great. Proactive check-in details, very thorough. Onsite property manager was helpful and available for our needs. Everyone was responsive and thoughtful. Huge mahalo to Jamie, Francine and Tannis for making our stay on the Big Island the best ever!

Had all amenities needed, close to beach, quiet, comfortable beds, A/C was nice. The only issue was with the manager at the Fairways. Apparently, they recently decided to lock the gate to get into the property and if there were multiple people staying with only one key it was irritating and if there was an evacuation it was difficult to get out.

Our family stayed here for 6 nights and we were so satisfied with our stay! The townhouse is exactly as advertised: beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. We really appreciated the coolers/ice packs/beach towels/snorkel gear that is stored in the garage. We made use of the propane grill for a couple of the nights. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook comfortably. The master bedroom mattress is supportive and very comfortable, as is the living room furniture. We would stay at this property again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Enjoyed the easy check in with digital locks - no stopping for keys. The condo was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed morning coffee on the tropical setting lanai. But I recall the deciding factor for our choice here was the beach access. And it indeed is a beautiful setting. We had dinner one night at the restaurant at the beach and we all agreed it was the best dinner of our trip. The location was a good anchor spot for visiting all points of the island but we wished we had been a little closer to Kailua-Kona. Overall, a great experience

The condo was well appointed and equipped with a comfortable and spacious master bedroom. The full-sized kitchen had condiments and spices for use. The patio was quite private, shielded with a tall bamboo hedge. However, that also made it feel a bit hemmed in with no view of grounds or scenery. The tree canopy attracted lots of birds for viewing from the patio, which was nice. I wish the patio grill was in better working order and there wasn’t an additional $25 cleaning charge for its use. The hotel nearby offered an outdoor bar from which to view the fabulous sunsets. The private beach club was great! The Pool just steps away from the condo was beautiful!

We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery with so much to do. Lots of beach equipment including snorkeling gear.
However, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the place especially in the kitchen - dirty dishes, greasy pots & baking sheets in the cupboards. Coffee pot & toaster needed cleaning. Drink rings on glass tabletops. Lots of dust on ceiling fan upstairs and under master bed. Mold in master shower. The whole place needed a DEEP cleaning.

LOVED this home in Mauna Lani. Everything about the property is wonderful. We spent most mornings and evenings on the lanai enjoying the sounds of Hawaii. This is the most well stocked home we have ever rented including beach gear, laundry detergent, toiletry items, etc. We had to buy very little at the grocery store besides food.
The location is excellent - close to a great grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants and beaches.
The private beach club is a huge bonus. We snorkled there nearly every day and had dinner at the restaurant several times.
We highly recommend taking the beach chairs down to Holoholokai Park to watch the sunsets. Incredible.

We rented this house with another couple and it had the perfect amount of space for 4 to be comfortable! We used the beach chairs in the garage after a quick walk to the Fairmont Orchid. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't have time to enjoy the community pool or the BBQ in the patio, but will definitely need to stay longer next time!

We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for our trip to the Big Island! The fact that you have a pool within arms distance and access to two private beaches we couldn’t have asked for anything better! We never really had to leave our area - except for shave ice at the Original Big Island Shave Ice, Co!

I loved that the unit was right next to the pool, since I went every day. I also liked that there was a downstairs bedroom as I have a bad knee. The upstairs bedroom and bath were quite spacious but I enjoyed not having to climb the steps. There were some aspects that we did not like, but I addressed these with the hosts. We were very disappointed the outside built in grill did not work, but eventually after much discussion, a new portable grill was delivered

Fabulous condo in Kamuela with everything (!) you might want, convenient to visits to Kona, and closer to Mauna Kea than staying in Kona. The condo is so nice you might not want to leave, but golf, pool, beach, grocery and restaurants are close by if you do. The bed may be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in on vacation. 5+ stars. Thank you for a lovely, luxurious place to stay.

We visited the Big Island 22 years after we came here on our honeymoon and stayed at the Orchid. I was thrilled to find this property right next to the Orchid, for use to return, now with our boys, ages 10 and 15. The community is placed amount the golf courses and is peaceful and quiet. The property was well designed, well-maintained and had all the accommodations and accoutrements that you could need for your stay. We arrived late in the night and the home was warm and welcoming for us and pristinely clean. We loved the balcony outside the master bedroom, the outdoor patio and the spacious kitchen. The master bedroom is incredibly spacious with a super comfortable bed. The pool was excellent for a quick dip after a day on the golf course or exploring all the Big Island has to offer. And we absolutely loved the private beach. My boys loved snorkeling and enjoying the beach club. I wishes I could have spent every day of our visit there but alas, we also had to explore Volcano National Park, golf, and visit Kona.
I was instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived after a very long journey from the East Coast and wa sad to leave at the end of our stay. I would highly recommend this property again and again to anyone that is looking for some more space for their small family when visiting the Big Island and enjoying all the resort that Mauna Lani has to offer from restaurants, to shopping to golf course, fitness center, pool, beach, spa and more. This is our second visit to Mauna Lani Fairways and first time in Jan’s condo and it was a truly exceptional property. There is true pride in ownership that is reflected in the quality of furniture, decor, linens, kitchen ware & beach gear. The owners thought of absolutely everything and were generous with amenities and starters such as coffee pods, Mac nuts and condiments. The private beach club is perfect with cabanas and chaise and great snorkeling. We personally love Hapuna and the Shave Ice truck and shops in Kawaihae. We will most certainly be back. This was our 4th time staying in this community and we absolutely love it. The condo was perfect! It's the larger 2-bedroom so you never feel crowded, and there's plenty of storage to hide your suitcases, etc. Everything was very clean. The kitchen was well-stocked. The best part was the beach toys are well-stocked too!
We were able to use the snorkel equipment at the local beach and had amazing views of the sea life without driving far or taking a group tour. The boogie boards were handy for Hapuna beach just a few miles north.
The pool and hot tub are awesome when you don't feel like getting sandy, and the pool is a great size. Everything in the area is well-maintained. Can't wait to return!!

Coming back to the Big Island after getting married here at the old Kona Village (RIP) fifteen years ago. Communication and check-in process seamless. Property managers very pleasant and seemed to care. Condo was every bit as advertised and was perfect for us. As ex-VRBO owners, we were amazed how stocked the kitchen was with pots, pans, dinnerware, glasses, etc. We know how hard this is to keep these items in stock and also keep them nice. Everything first class. Bikes were a great touch, and we used them almost every day. Owners beach was super-crowded when we were there, but we were there during spring break, so there you go. We had a fantastic second honeymoon, restful, quiet, convenient to all. Loved it.

We’ve stayed in this complex before and knew we loved it! This unit was an awesome location, quick access to the pool and a fantastic view from the lanai. Love these townhouses for our rambunctious family-rooms are all separate and quiet, plenty of space for everyone. Just the perfect jumping off spot for all of our favorites on the Big Island. This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this complex. This time we also bought along our Grandson and his Mother. We very pleased with the overall condition of the unit. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything we needed during our stay was there. Plenty of dishes and cookware. We grilled during our stay. The Grandson used the gear in the garage. He wanted to swim every night after returning from each days adventure. There's a small work out facility. It has adequate equipment to work out. There's a clip board to schedule a time slot. The room can get quite warm running on the treadmill. The loop around the complex is about 1/2 mile. It's pretty safe to run the streets. Watch out for goats and turkeys.
Parking passes are on a clipboard outside the manager's office. Overall we had a great trip. We definitely would book again.
