We’ve stayed in the Mauna Lani area many times and this was my favorite. The Fairways at Mauna Lani is a great location to explore the Kohala Coast or just chill at the beach club. The place has everything you need to make your stay great. (No snorkels, but If you like to snorkel, rent from Snorkel Bobs in Mauna Lani shopping area. ) The bikes were so fun to explore the area. The coffee maker and Breville espresso machine were a treat to have in the morning.
What made this place the best in my opinion was the host. Jessi was very welcoming and responsive. She sent well defined and easy to follow instructions for check in and out. She has a local contact that picks up at a moments notice. The place is private even though it’s in a development The place is packed with interesting books about the area. My spouse loved the out of print Hunter S. Thompson book on the Big Island. If you can’t tell already, we would most definitely stay again. 5 stars for a great winter vacation.

We had a great week at this condo in the Fairways at Mauna Lani. This condo was exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The main bedroom was spacious with an en suite and great bed. The second bedroom was enough room for our two teen boys to share. The living space was spacious. We really appreciated the small touches such as some condiments being available, great cooking equipment, great sheets, etc. The condo had beach chairs, umbrellas and some snorkelling gear. The pool was a good size.
The location cannot be beat with Hapuna beach within a seven minute drive and the beach club just minutes away for great snorkelling.
We love the big island and this condo did not disappoint. Gail was responsive and great to deal with! We would definitely rent this condo again~!

We very much enjoyed our 17 nights at Mark’s condo. The condo is large, well furnished, very well decorated, with a well equipped kitchen and every beach toy you’d ever want. It is close to the pool, which can be a bit noisy (but wasn’t often while we were there). The view from the second floor balcony is nice, but unfortunately plantings somewhat obscure the view from the ground floor patio (but also act as a privacy screen for the unit). Mark is very responsive. We would stay there again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Property was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We felt like we were home away from home. Pride in ownership shows everywhere throughout the home. Great vibrant paint colors make the home very cozy along with the new carpet and floors that were recently installed before our stay. Everything you need for the beach was available, along with bicycles ready to ride. Close to both golf course which is a short drive away. Little more expensive than other similar units in the area, but well worth it because the condition of the property is at a very high level. The Owners were very responsive and informative keeping me updated along the way. Lizzette, the property manager was such a nice and welcoming person who ensured that our stay was perfect.

We found the master bedroom exquisite but the front bedroom was small, hot and the "ensuite" bathroom was also small and hot since it did not even have an AC vent in it to cool it off. We were sharing the space with another couple and it was clear that whoever got the front bedroom would be sweltering. It was extremely hot the entire time we were there. There is only one AC unit for both the upstairs and the downstairs so when we turned up the AC to cool the upstairs bedroom it made the downstairs and master bedroom feel very cold. The owner should add an extra AC vent to the front bedroom and one to the bathroom. I feel like the listing was misleading because the furniture in the living room was not as photographed. Also the instructions for the washing machine mentioned "powder soap" but the only available laundry soap was pods.
In a condo advertising air conditioning, I expected better cooling in all the rooms, especially considering the price point.
On the plus side, the kitchen was well stocked and Kapena was very accessible and accommodating.

The pool is close by and you have access to the private Beach Club, which is just a short drive away. Very nice perk that throughly enjoyed. This was our 2nd stay in the Mauna Lani area, but our first at ML Fairways. I must say that this townhome was our absolute favorite! The home was spotlessly clean on arrival -- Mary even granted us an early check-in bc our flight had been changed. It had all the amenities you need: kitchen appliances, beach items, even cruiser bikes were available for our use. The location was perfect: just close enough to the local market, and a short walk to the Fairmont coast walking path. Beach club access was a plus -- that's where we always do our intro snorkel to the area. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio, looking at the lush landscape. The home was a short walk to the pool, but still private enough. We cooked a lot of our dinners, but there are a few local restaurants in the area. Mary was quick to respond to any of our questions. I highly recommend staying here :-)

My family and I had such an amazing stay here this thanksgiving! The property had all you needed and more. The guest contact was very responsive and was accommodating to all of our needs. It was great having two beaches (a beach club and black sand beach) within a mile or 2 from the place. The community was quiet and we really enjoyed eating every meal on that back patio. My family goes out to the big island every other year and we all agreed that this was by far the best/nicest place we have ever stayed at there. They even brought in a baby gate and cribs to accommodate our small children. The location was ideal for families with the beach and pool so close. We had a wonderful time with this rental. We visit the Kohala Coast regularly and have stayed in several different places, but we both agree this is one we're eager to return to. The layout of the rental is great for a couple or for a small family (we were just two this time, but we may come back with our daughter and her spouse). The kitchen is nicely stocked with everything you'd want for either private meals or meals with a small group. There are two lanais - we loved the one on the second floor, off of the master bedroom. The master bathroom is very spacious. All the rooms are well lit, and there is plenty of comfortable seating. The agents were welcoming and attentive.The complex is relatively small, which is nice. You can walk around the perimeter in about 15 minutes. In the center, there's a very nice pool and hot tub. In terms of location, this is a great spot to be on the Kohala Coast - great restaurants are nearby, and the private beach is just a short drive away. We're looking forward to our next visit!

We were here for a reunion with many staying in private homes. While the views were lovely these properties were not well provisioned and the pool areas without respite from the sun. The hotel beaches weren’t peaceful. The Mauna Lani Beach Club was fabulous ( you need to bring noodles, boogie boards and rent your snorkels from Snorkel Bob)… the restaurant and bar terrific. The walking routes in the ‘neighborhood’ of Mauna Lani endless-, not so in other areas we visited. The supermarket great, and close! The only thing we missed was a paddle board- the Beach Club the best spot to board but no place at the beach to rent. Great spot to eat- Merrimen’s, helicopter outfit Blue Hawaiian to really see the island, we could have missed Rainbow Falls - not pretty, the others in the rain forest worth the trip. Finally, would have liked a picture of the unit ( fronted on the road) since we came in at nite and thought the entrances were in the courtyards.

It was fully equipped to accommodate our 2 and 4 year olds with games and activities in addition to an ample selection of beach toys and accessories, which they really enjoyed. The location was superb for proximity to the beaches, shopping, and beautiful sunset strolls in the evenings. The owners allowed us to bring our pet which was an added bonus since we were going to be there for a full week and wanted to bring our dog along with us. Overall, really happy with our time here. Mahalo for allowing us to come and we hope to visit again sometime in the future.

The house had everything we needed and more. The beds were all super comfortable, and we enjoyed having ceiling fans and stand fans in each bedroom. The front closet was fully stocked with snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach toys and more. Kitchen is equipped with plenty of pots, pans, spices and utensils to cook meals, if you choose.

This rental was absolutely awesome. It was beautifully furnished and provided so many “extras” we couldn’t believe it. The kitchen cabinets were stocked with seasonings, cooking spray ect. Drawers had foil, baggies and Tupperware. Bathrooms had body wash, shampoo and a closet stacked with extra towels. The primary closet had tons of extra pillows and blankets. The laundry room was fully stocked with laundry soap and a basket full of beach towels. Our biggest surprise was a supply closet outside with bikes, beach chairs, a cooler even a surfboard! The pool area was beautiful and steps away from the unit. The best amenity by far was access to the private beach club. We spent 4 of our 7 days there. Highly recommend this exquisite property.

We had a great vacation at the Fairways at Mauna Lani. The condo was very spacious with 2 bedrooms and kitchen. The outdoor patio and lanai was nice. The pool in the center of the complex was big and beautiful. The grocery store and shops was just down the road and very convenient. And the beach club is awesome. Great for a family vacation spot.

My family stayed in Gail's lovely home for 12 days. It is one of the nicest rental homes that we have ever stayed in. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Access to the beach club was terrific as well as all the other amenities at the resort. Gail's tips about discount golf fees were great! We hope to be back!

Pictures do not do it justice… the condo is spacious, spotlessly clean and incredibly well stocked. The property owner was responsive, helpful and accommodating. The pool area is beautiful and never crowded. I would definitely recommend this rental and would love to stay again in the future.

The house and neighborhood were both great. The time of year likely had an impact, but it was very quiet and we didn’t have to share the pool with many people. Location was nice, 30min from the airport, 30min to Waimea and 40min to Kailua-Kona. The swim gear, while not guaranteed, was nice to have.

Jessi's place was extremely comfortable and well-equipped. We took advantage of the grill and kitchen for a few of our meals. The pool is a short walk down the street. We loved the beach club and enjoyed our morning walks around the property. It was quiet, relaxing, and exactly what we were looking for. Hope to make it an annual trip.

Stay at this condo and you will not come back to Mauna Lani, Hawaii. We arrived early so the cleaning had not been finished they came the next morning and cleaned. After they left when I walked into the kitchen I was sticking to the floor I took a paper towel with hot water and wiped it. My paper towel was black, I took pictures .I cleaned the whole tile floor up. The washing machine & dryer work but need a really good cleaning. Sorry to be so picky but really was hoping not to have to clean before we could stay. Our Daughter & her family was in another unit that was much nicer than ours, at least cleaner. The carpets and furniture need a good cleaning, being a guest at your condo should not involve any cleaning in order to stay.

Well stocked and equipped kitchen. Large bed and bathrooms. Korby was very responsive throughout our stay and Hawaii Luxury Real Estate was proactive to notify about the Hawaii fires, which happened just before we arrived. Several great beaches a short drive away including the Beach Club. Fairways is a gated complex and near the pool is a modest fitness center you can reserve. Nearest grocery is 2/3 mile, 15 min walk away--very convenient!

Beautiful condo located right in front of the pool! The condo was spacious, clean and fully equipped for our beach vacation. Snorkeling gear, paddleboard, beach toys, floating devices, bikes, scooters, etc. We enjoyed barbecuing from the lanai with a direct view to the pool. The Shops at Mauna Lani are a short 2 minute drive. Perfect for quick groceries and shopping. The owner's beach is beautiful with calm waters for children, lots of shade and is only a short 6 minute drive. It had all the amenities needed! Beautiful white sand beach, snorkeling, restaurant, etc. We absolutely loved our vacation and our stay at this condo. We would not hesitate to return!

Judging on quality, this might be the best property I have ever stayed at. It is clear that the owner and Lisette really care about the place and the happiness of their guests.
As an example, the place did not have beach toys. Not a big deal, given that it is very well stocked. We bought a set of toys and mentioned it to Lisette. She actually paid us for them, unprompted. I would definitely recommend it.

Seller did not "spare the horses" when outfitting this graciously-appointed luxury condo. We appreciated the fully-equipped kitchen, attached garage (that accommodates a mini-van), outdoor cooking and dining setup, generous room sizes, oversized bedrooms both with full private baths, including a master with jetted tub, sitting room and gorgeous views from its own lanai. The private beach was perfect for snorkeling, and we were pleased to discover that everything that we needed to enjoy the private beach was provided. The home was squeaky clean and strategically located close to Shops of Mauna Lani and the King and Queen shops, and only footsteps from views of all five volcanoes. The grounds were adorned with beautiful views, lush trees, flowers and birds and graced with a salt-water pool and hot tub. After comparing the condo to offerings at the Hilton, we soon realized that the value of renting a home-away-from-home like this can't be beat. Without fear of embellishment, we can say that this has been our top vacation lodging. We intend to book this property next year.
