Condo is in quiet, pristine, gated community. We stay in rentals several times a year and this property was #1. Just as described and pictured. Wonderful place to relax in the morning on the patios, as well as after a long day of activities. Beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, comfortable furnishings and beds with quality linens. Condo was extremely well stocked throughout, including many extras like coolers, ice packs, chairs, bikes, snorkel gear that made our trip even more enjoyable. We didn’t use the pool, but the facilities were lovely. We were all over the island, but thought this location was superb. Great weather, close to many great beaches, restaurants, Kona, the north end and the airport. Excellent communication with the property manager and host including great recommendations for activities and restaurants.

The townhome in the Fairways development was comfortable with a large pool. We enjoyed the owner’s beach which had decent snorkeling and is next to a large fish pond with some cool large fish and nesting birds. The house has chairs, umbrellas snorkel gear and a cooler for beach days.Other beaches are also close to this location. We went to the Fairmont Orchid Hotel beach one day and enjoyed a more catered day at the beach which is fun too. We were two couples and had plenty of privacy and tranquility.

Fourth time we have been to the Big Island and this was the nicest location we have stayed! Extreemly clean, cental A/C, upstairs balcony, downstairs porch, kitchen wad stocked for enjoying meals and meal prep, had all the appliances we needed, we didn’t use it, but a beautiful outdoor grill, bicycles, everything for beach time (towels, snorkel gear, chairs, boards, small and large coolers, umbrellas) community pool and hot tub. Close to several beaches and shopping centers.Definitely set a gold standard!

Only issue was the pool and development gates could not open either direction without a hard key. Got locked in and out when on foot, swimming or biking since we only had one key for four adults. Should be able to get out without a key!

We have stayed in some wonderful places through the years throughout the Hawaiian Islands. And we've enjoyed them all for different things. But this one was stunning from the moment we walked in the door. The tasteful decorations, the thoughtful stocking of the kitchen with every device (working) you could need, the access to the private beach club (with restaurant), the closeness to the Mauna Lani shopping area and of course our Fairways pool area could not be beat! We were pleasantly impressed with the home's amenities which included cable TV, WIFI, comfortable beds and bedding, kitchen tools as well as use of outdoor equipment (i.e., snorkeling equipment, bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas). Once we secured our booking dates, we were contacted by the host who offered several recommendations during our stay. Lizette was outstanding in making sure we had access to the home upon our arrival. She provided a great suggestion to visit the Farmers Market for gifts and great food items. We all agreed that we will return to this beautiful home on our next visit to the Big Island.

Our family of 3 had an amazing time in this lovely home. Every night we would ride the bikes down to the beach and watch the sunset. During the day we enjoyed our time at the Mauna Lani beach club ( access card provided with home) a great beach for snorkeling and enjoying the private swimming cove. We visited the Big Island 22 years after we came here on our honeymoon and stayed at the Orchid. I was thrilled to find this property right next to the Orchid, for use to return, now with our boys, ages 10 and 15. The community is placed amount the golf courses and is peaceful and quiet. The property was well designed, well-maintained and had all the accommodations and accoutrements that you could need for your stay. We arrived late in the night and the home was warm and welcoming for us and pristinely clean. We loved the balcony outside the master bedroom, the outdoor patio and the spacious kitchen. The master bedroom is incredibly spacious with a super comfortable bed. The pool was excellent for a quick dip after a day on the golf course or exploring all the Big Island has to offer. And we absolutely loved the private beach. My boys loved snorkeling and enjoying the beach club. I wishes I could have spent every day of our visit there but alas, we also had to explore Volcano National Park, golf, and visit Kona.
I was instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived after a very long journey from the East Coast and wa sad to leave at the end of our stay. I would highly recommend this property again and again to anyone that is looking for some more space for their small family when visiting the Big Island and enjoying all the resort that Mauna Lani has to offer from restaurants, to shopping to golf course, fitness center, pool, beach, spa and more. Coming back to the Big Island after getting married here at the old Kona Village (RIP) fifteen years ago. Communication and check-in process seamless. Property managers very pleasant and seemed to care. Condo was every bit as advertised and was perfect for us. As ex-VRBO owners, we were amazed how stocked the kitchen was with pots, pans, dinnerware, glasses, etc. We know how hard this is to keep these items in stock and also keep them nice. Everything first class. Bikes were a great touch, and we used them almost every day. Owners beach was super-crowded when we were there, but we were there during spring break, so there you go. We had a fantastic second honeymoon, restful, quiet, convenient to all. Loved it.

Fairways at Mauna Lani is a hard place to leave. The sunsets and tropical setting keeps bringing us back. This unit has had a number of nice updates in the last year. The owner and property manager are both very responsive and pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend.

This was by far one of the nicest places we have rented. It was extremely clean, was decorated to perfection, and had absolutely everything we needed. The neighborhood was wonderful and the kids enjoyed the pool area. The bikes were an added bonus, as were all the necessities for a fun day at the ocean. I appreciated that spices and oils were left in the cupboard, so that we didn't have to buy everything we needed to cook. The property manager was very accessible and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Property was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We felt like we were home away from home. Pride in ownership shows everywhere throughout the home. Great vibrant paint colors make the home very cozy along with the new carpet and floors that were recently installed before our stay. Everything you need for the beach was available, along with bicycles ready to ride. Close to both golf course which is a short drive away. Little more expensive than other similar units in the area, but well worth it because the condition of the property is at a very high level. The Owners were very responsive and informative keeping me updated along the way. Lizzette, the property manager was such a nice and welcoming person who ensured that our stay was perfect.

The accommodations are perfect! The unit is very well-maintained and decorated in first class condition. The Fairways Townhomes are for quiet stays and that’s exactly what we got. The pool is close by and you have access to the private Beach Club, which is just a short drive away. Very nice perk that throughly enjoyed. Every extra detail was provided - beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, full size washer/dryer, and much much, more. The unit is spotless, very clean, and very comfortable. It’s located down the street from a grocery store in one direction and a beach park in the other. This is one of Mauna Lani’s best places to stay - hands down. Loved our stay, and all of the amenties in the townhouse. We needed nothing but food and drinks. The convenience to the beach, resturants and local shopping/stores was easy to find. Only complaint is the AC wasn't cool enough at night and the beds need to replaced because of dippings in the mattress in the master bedroom and the bed in the guest room was too soft.

Judging on quality, this might be the best property I have ever stayed at. It is clear that the owner and Lisette really care about the place and the happiness of their guests.
As an example, the place did not have beach toys. Not a big deal, given that it is very well stocked. We bought a set of toys and mentioned it to Lisette. She actually paid us for them, unprompted. I would definitely recommend it.

We had a great time in Paradise! Loved everything about the unit: great location near the Fairmont, clean, stylishly furnished and comfortable, well stocked kitchen will all amenities. The garage was perfect to setup and store our bikes for the Ironman race. We used the provided snorkel gear and cruiser bikes to/from the beach club. The owner was very accommodating, let us check-in early since we landed early morning, and super kind and helpful when we had a problem with the fridge. Lissette at Homechex made the check-in / checkout process very smooth. Highly recommend it, we would happily stay there again!

We recently returned from our 12 day stay at Mauna Lai during spring break. The townhome was spacious, clean, well situated and exactly as described. We were really impressed with how well equipped the entire home was, it was a very easy transition for a family that likes to cook. The kitchen included all the necessities which were of high quality. The shower in the master bath was massive as was the entire master suite, with ample closet and storage space. The manager/owner was very friendly and responsive and made sure that our stay exceeded expectations. We also made use of the private Beach Club and pool, both were excellent. The restaurant at the Beach Club is a must do!

It really has everything you'll need to enjoy the coast: bikes, boogie boards, water shoes, snorkels, masks, and more—there's even a nice selection of books! The condo itself is quiet, spacious, and comfortable, and the location is good—a short walk to the Fairmont Orchid and its lovely cove beach or a short drive or bike ride to the equally lovely (and bigger) Mauna Lani private beach club. Communication with the property folks was also great—they were super responsive. We'd definitely stay here again!

The pictures don’t do the property justice. It is so big and sooo clean! I’m really picky about cleanliness (almost OCD). I’ve stayed in countless rentals over the years and this was definitely the cleanest. You feel so comfortable right away—like it’s your own home. There were bikes, snorkel equipment, water shoes, boogie boards, etc.. and they were clean, dust free. Even the garage is pristine. The man made beach is a little far for bike riding in my opinion and it is really small and kind of disappointing. But you have Hapuna beach (the best!!) and tons of beautiful beaches close by. Shopping centers with everything you could need are super close to the home. Great balconies for sitting and outside dining. The beds are super comfortable. If it’s available, book it! You won’t regret it!!

My wife and I were going to a wedding at the Mauna Lani Resort. The Fairways was suggested as an option so we checked it out. What a perfect rental. The place had everything we needed and was in great shape. Responsive owner and beautiful location. The only suggestion I would make to a guest is to look into a golf cart rental. We were able to get around the area very easy and quickly. Yes, we could've ridden bikes but when you are dressed up for a wedding or dinner, the cart is the way to go... Would stay again without question.

From the moment you arrive, you realize this is something special. Tucked away in Mauna Lani, The Fairways, is a well manicured and beautiful setting of villas and townhomes. Upon entry you feel like you are home. Everything you could imagine and more available in the kitchen and baths, all top notch accessories and fixtures. Well stocked in everyway. We had a week car rental which I highly recommend and each day we used the beach chairs and umbrellas that were provided with the home. Also within the Mauna Lani community is the beach club and Napuna restaurant. Available for use while staying at the home. Make dinner reservations in advance as it won't disappoint. There is a nice well stocked community grocery store as well for things you may want to have while staying. Within a mile in Mauna Lani is the Fairmont, which we at dinner on the beach at Brown's. Great upscale restaurant as well. Hapuna Beach is less than 5 miles away and a must see and stay for the day. All and all we could not have picked a better place to stay and would highly recommend to anyone coming to stay in Hawai'i. We couldn't have had a better time while staying in our luxurious accommodations!

We loved staying in this unit and did not want for anything. We loved the bikes and all the beach equipment. We did a lot of cooking this time and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more! The place was clean and the lanais were perfect with very comfortable furniture. A nice touch was the sitting area right off the master bedroom. It had a great chair for reading and the little desk came in handy.
What we especially appreciated was the prompt responses we got from the concierge Lissette. We called her about 8:30 one night for help with the air conditioner and she called us back right away. She was able to let us stay an extra hour since our return flight was delayed. She was so gracious about everything. The owner Hilary had some great tips and went out of her way to find out which delivery service would get us our important document right to our door.

First off the condo was beautiful secluded,. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, and basics like olive oil, vinegar, spices coffee, sugar ect. The property manager was very responsive, except once on Saturday night when we couldn't figure out why the AC wasn't working. We read all of the literature, no information about the AC. Turns out there are sensors on the doors and windows and if anyone of them are left open or not shut completely, the ac turns off. I kept noticing thie AC turning off but didn't make the connection. They let us know the next morning after a warm night. I was assured this information would be added to the literature. That was the only glitch, I would definitely rent this place again. The bikes , snorkle gear and beach gear, puts this place above and beyond other options. Book it and shut the windows.

Our stay at this condo in the Fairways Mauna Lani was the perfect start to a stay on the Big Island. The unit was very spacious for our family of 4 (2 teens) especially including the patios and well appointed. It's well located for local walks/runs up and down the resort/coast areas, drives to amazing beaches north (Hapuna) or south (Kiholo bay) or hikes in the north (e.g. Mauna Loa, Pololu Valley). The property manager was proactive with helpful tips and responsive. Having a well-stocked grocery less than a mile away was so convenient. We definitely recommend to anyone considering satying in the Kohala region.

Like new condition. Spacious. Professionally furnished and decorated. Quiet, peaceful. Kitchen is very modern and equipped with every pot, pan, utensil, dish, glass, storage container you could ever want. Members Beach is terrific. Calm, clear water with loads of fish for snorkeling, plus use of chaises and cabanas. Great restaurant directly behind the beach. Everything you need for the beach - chairs, snorkel eqpt, boogie boards, umbrellas. Four cruiser bikes to ride around the resort.. Easy walk to beautiful, tranquil pool area. Only quibble might be that the view is of trees and bushes - very peaceful, but not stunning.

In every way large and small, this condo provided a top-notch experience for my family. If I owned a condo in Hawaii and hosted my own family and friends there, this is exactly how I would outfit and care for the place.
Before I discuss the unit itself, I want to mention Lissette, the unit's caretaker, who was available and helpful with arrival, departure and questions during our stay. She is so nice and professional, and her communication and advice were greatly appreciated. What a major and unexpected bonus she was!
The unit is very generously outfitted, decorated, and stocked with the many supplies and little items that make things easy for a guest. Everything is in excellent condition, top to bottom. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. The air conditioning and fans work well to create a constant and comfortable temperature (72). The owners are wonderful to provide beach necessities and bikes. The pool is great. We enjoyed the back "garden" patio and the birds each morning.
Fairways (FML) is well-located north of Kona. The private beach is 3 minutes away and features outstanding snorkeling up the left side. The shopping plaza 2 mins away has Snorkel Bobs, Foodland (grocery), and a yummy vegetarian restaurant called Under the Bodhi Tree. Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea beach, Mau'umae beach, and several other glorious beaches are about 10-15 minutes away. Drive about 30 minutes to Waimea and eat dinner at the Red Water Cafe, the food is outstanding (make a reservation).

Very tidy and clean and thoughtfully appointed. It has everything we needed - coolers, beach chairs, Tupperware, snorkels, etc. - but without any clutter or disorganization. We will definitely try to stay here again when we come back.

Our family had a wonderful time - the place was fantastic. Having access to snorkeling equipment, lawn chairs, coolers and bikes was great! Our two kids loved the pool and we also really enjoyed the beach club! We would strongly recommend this place!!!

My husband and I and his mom spent a wonderful week in this home. The house itself is perfectly furnished and has everything you need to cook in, which we do a lot of. Thank you so much for the use of the bikes. We biked down to the beach almost every night for sunset. The pool was quiet and the beach club great.

It was our first visit to the Big Island and we loved it. We always wanted to come, but kept going to Maui and/or Kawaii instead. We finally made and very much enjoyed everything Alona has to offer: quiet beach, good food, nice scenary. And we stayed in a perfect place to do it all. Condo is staffed with everything we ever needed. Beach umbrellas were most useful for us, but chairs are also a big plus. We didn’t realize that there were snorkeling gears for all- rented them before coming to house.
Only one thing wasn’t there- the view. Otherwise, it is a great place and we will definitely consider it in our future trips to Kona.
