We had a wonderful stay at the Palm Villas! The unit is very conveniently located - close to the pool area, a short walk to the Mauna Lani Auberge, close to a walking path to the beach, as well as a very short distance to the local grocery store and coffee shop. The kitchen was also very well-equipped with anything you might need, and we appreciated all the beach equipment and towels. The beds were also super comfortable. Would highly recommend this VRBO!

Our home had everything and more you'd want from a tropical vacation. Great kitchen, great outdoor area, great pool, great location, great access to beach club, plenty of space, a garage. We checked out the nearby resort which was beautiful but we feel like we got the better deal because we had two rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a washer and dryer, an outdoor area with a grill and a private garage.

The home and the property were perfect for our family adventures. Clean, comfortable and fully stocked with all the essential tools and more. The is even a closet of fun beach toys and essentials (e.Grant. Coolers and chairs) which made our beach time even more enjoyable. We had the pleasure of crossing paths with the cleaning team and they were lovely and super helpful. The home was clean and loved the no shoes in the house…keeps everything a bit cleaner and sand free.

Good location. Enjoyable walk to beach including historical lava field and fish ponds. Unit and kitchen well stocked with appliances, utensils and beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. We love the Palm Villas. The hot tub, pool and grounds are nice to enjoy. This unit has everything we needed from the comfortable beds to kitchen utensils. We appreciated having beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel stuff and cooler. Owner quickly responded to all of our VRBO correspondence.

The most offensive odor was present when we opened the door to our unit. I immediately contacted Sara, at the property management company and explained that it appeared the a/c vents were filthy and required servicing. The air was at 80 degrees which did not help matters. We weren't sure if the odor was a result of old carpet that needs replacement or a combination of that and the a/c ducting which had apparently not been cleaned in years! We immediately experienced issues from the unhealthy air and opened doors and purchased a scented candle from the grocery store. The maintenance man arrived to check the a/c and was helpful, yet unable to locate the filter in order to change it. He removed the air intake and return grids on ceiling and walls and tried his best to clean them. We sent Sara a photo of the filthy a/c intakes and returns and she scheduled someone to check it the following day. She also had the carpets shampooed the next day. The old carpet needs to be replaced with hardwood or tile to prevent odor and improve cleanliness. The unit needs to be freshly painted , and most of all, the a/c ducting needs a complete thorough professional cleaning, not simple a new filter (which was long overdue!) Even after filter replacement , the odor still lingered and made it very unpleasant for the duration of our stay. For the price of this rental, we could have enjoyed a 4 or 5 star hotel with much nicer amenities and no foal odor. We were extremely disappointed with the rental

Not sure if host is available as we did not try and contact them. Unit was big enough for sure but needs a good cleaning and a little updating. BBQ on deck was not operation, deck chairs cushions need to be replaced badly, no sink plug available so made it tough to clean up kitchen counters and dishes. The beds were amazing though, veru comfortable. Washer and dryer are old and do not work very well.

First, I must give kudos to Brian and the Reality, they were extremely responsive to the problems encountered. A software changeover caused issues with my final payment and check-in information, but they were able to resolve them with only minor difficulties. The property itself is just “ok”. The carpet in the master is threadbare and stained, the couch cushions have seen better days and one of the bedroom mattresses needs replacing. In addition, the instructions on using the tv and ac were either incorrect or non-existent. It was also a little irritating that I was staying 3 weeks and they only provided 1 week’s worth of dishwasher soap, trash can liners and laundry pods. Overall, the price was right for an “ok” 3 bedroom, but I’ll probably pay a little more next time (and I come every year) for a little better maintained unit

The place was beautiful and was just as pictured. Check in was easy and they provided everything you need for your stay. We however would never stay at this property again. We were yelled at by a neighbor for whispering outside at 9:30pm. There were 3 of us, no music and i had my sleeping baby in my lap. Honestly, it made us uncomfortable the rest of our stay. When i reached out to the company they informed me that this wasnt the first time it had happened and we should stay inside after 9. Had we known this in advance we definitely would not have booked the property. This is way more like a retirement community and not geared towards families.

The unit is great, and the resort is very well maintained. We loved our time here.I stayed here with my 11 month old, wife and parents and it had plenty of space. The beach club access is also a huge perk of this unit and we spent most of our time there. Brian, the contact for the unit is super accommodating and easy to communicate with.

We’ve stayed in many other units here but this was the nicest to date.I must tell you of a mishap I had with the shelf in the garage resulting in it being bent. Hopefully it can be straightened easily. Sorry!

Overall, a great stay. Very spacious, great location. The condo was a bit noisy- it was a downstairs unit and the fans were loud, but we still greatly enjoyed ourselves and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The toaster was very poor and needed to held down during the toasting process.Rugs are a trip hazard, and the master bed frame was apart when we arrived at the head of the bed. This is our 3rd time staying in the Mani Lani condos and the second time in the Palm Villas. This unit needs upgrades and care. Mahalo!

We loved our stay at the Palm Villas with my husband and two of our kids. The location was perfect for what we were looking for with the beach club and restaurant for quiet days, the pool for when we'd had enough of sand and a reasonable drive everywhere on the island we wanted to go for adventure. The kitchen was super well equipped. We stay in VRBOs all the time and this was for sure one of the best. The garage was full of beach gear. Plenty of grocery stores nearby and wonderful restaurants at the Auberge if you get your reservations in.It was quiet, if there were neighbors upstairs we didn't hear them. The owners were responsive and helpful. If we go back to the big island it would be our first choice for sure.

We had a great stay at the Palm Villas Condo. Staying at the condo gives you access to the Beach Club which is the best beach in the area especially if you have kids. The location of the condo is excellent as you can walk from the condo through the Kalahuipua'a Historic Park to the Mauna Lani fish ponds and just a short walk further to the Beach Club. The condo is very nice and it was well stocked. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. The garage was very convenient to park in and the beach chairs, umbrella, and sand toys were really useful. We will stay here again next time we're on the Big Island.

We had a lovely stay in this condo. Parking in the garage was easy. We really appreciated the beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, etc. that were provided.
