Great location and proximity to everything, beach, shopping and pool. It was a bottom floor unit and unfortunately the guests above were not courteous and you could hear them walking loud and playing music at all different times. The AC unit is outside one of the bedroom windows and is very loud for whomever is in that bedroom but overall we had a wonderful time! Mahalo for sharing your home!

We stayed here for a long weekend with my young adult and teenage children, as well as my brother and sister-in-law. We had plenty to do with access to the beach/beach club and the pool at the condo complex. The snorkeling was great at the beach. It was close enough to Kona to enjoy some activities down then, then it was nice to return to the peace and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Condo was clean and well supplied. The kids loved the Beach Club Beach to snorkel and just float around. Hapuna Beach is close and is a top beach anywhere in the world. Overall it was a fantastic vacation and celebration of my daughters accomplishment.

This was a very clean and comfortable condo with great views of the back lanai. The pool area was beautiful (and close) and the walk to the beach area has plenty to see including lava caves and fish ponds as well as a very nice sand beach. It was great to have snorkel gear in the garage. We definitely took advantage of that. Eating in the resort restaurant was pretty expensive so we grilled a lot of meals at the condo. The grill was right on the lanai so we didn't have to leave to a common area to do so. All in all, a good experience!

We had a very pleasant stay at this property. It is well equipped and clean. When our plans changed they were responsive and able to add a night to our reservation. I was pleasantly surprised to find a coffee grinder. Of course the area is known for Kona coffee so being able to grind beans was great. I personally love the Mauna Lana area because of the fish Ponds and beach club. I love walking the Ponds at sunrise and the beach club is just ideal. Amazing snorkeling right off the beach easy for all ages. Beach chairs, a restaurant for lunch and cocktails. This property was an easy walk to both areas but also came with a pass to the gated beach club parking. That is key when hauling snorkel gear and stuff for a family. The only draw back was so many restaurants were closed in the Mauna Lani area...I suspect hit by COVID. Many new places say coming soon. We made good use of the grocery store just downnthevroad.

We rented this property for a month long stay in February. The unit was clean and well maintained in a great location. Took a chance on this unrated rental and very glad we did.

Location was very good since we intended on playing the golf courses at Mauna Lani. Good locations for touring the North Kohalo area along with Waimea.

March 2023
The floors were dirty. We removed our shoes at the door and then had filthy feet. Within the extensive check in/check out rules and expectations was the indication that there was a discount at the "private" golf course. That was not accurate. The bath towels were old and scratchy. It's a lovely location and the unit is upscale. However the rules are onerous.

Excellent property but rules don't allow kids to play on grass or in pool. Must be quiet.

Perfect for a quiet few days away from town. Pool was great, beach access was also fantastic. Easy walking around the grounds and overall was great. Would definitely look to the Mauna Lani area again.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the thoughtful touches immensely! Soaps, cleaning supplies, condiments and beach umbrellas all made for a smooth and comfortable stay. We hope to rent here again. Meredith was cheerful, accommodating and available for all of our last minute needs. We have already recommended to others while on the plane home.

Wasn’t clear that it was a second story unit, there were some minor issues with details, but property manager resolved them quickly.

August 2022
This was a very peaceful villa to stay in. The pool was excellent, very warm and we liked the night swim. Location is secluded so some may feel isolated from town life. But that was fine with us. We felt safe, the community is gated, and the neighbours were all nice. The villa was bright and easily assessable. We thought the floors could have been cleaned more but otherwise we found the place enjoyable to live in. There were lots of living space, and the pool / beach equipment available to us were a bonus. We would stay here again.

The unit was beautiful, clean, and along with the other amenities of the property, thoroughly enjoyable. Trude and Scott responded when needed in a very timely manner. They were helpful and understanding, which is a breath of fresh air these days and very much appreciated. I look forward to returning for future stays.

Access & proximity to the beach club was awesome!

August 2022
The condo is nicely equipped and comfortable. However, the rules and regulations are too many and not very customer friendly, I.e. not loud talking on the terrace or an attendant comes sprinting to yell at you to be quiet! Then the lockbox got jammed and I had to fix it myself. No late check out despite the cleaning crew did not show up until the PM. We like the location but will choose an other property management the next time. Ah yes, and they asked why the garage door was “bashed in”. It was like that when we arrived. And it’s a small loose rubber band on the bottom only. Not very friendly good byes.

Waikoloa and Mauna Lani vacation was wonderful. The property is lovely. I would recommend staying there.

July 2022
Overall great. A few areas for improvement. Common bathroom has no a/c went and is oppressively hot. Third bedroom beds very uncomfortable. Kitchen is lacking some basic cooking essentials. For three bedroom u it there could be more place settings. Emails I received could have been in a much friendlier tone. With all the fees and the way I was spoken to I’m done with VRBOs.

July 2022
We had a great stay. The property is in a great area and the snorkeling at the beach club was awesome! There were a lot of rules both for the property and rental. We didn’t have an issue navigating them but important to read up.

July 2022
The location was excellent for going back and forth to Volcanoes National Park and the house itself was very nicely designed-the layout is smart and the lighted skylights in the main areas are noteworthy- made it feel like daylight all day. This was a wonderful rental.

June 2022
This unit and property were incredible. Very close to all things including walking distance to the amazing pool! The beach club was easy to access. The instructions for check in and check out were easy to navigate. The shops and grocery store are right down the street, very convenient!!! Also very close to the Kona airport. We got sunny skies and beautiful days all week. Everything was clean and easy to access. All rooms were clean and comfortable! We can’t thank you enough. Communication with the property managers was easiest through vrbo inbox, they got back to us quickly and acted quickly. Would highly recommend this place!

May 2022
Very nicely landscaped, and quiet property. Heated pool is large, but as others have noted they really want quiet in the pool area, even in the middle of the day, so please be aware of that if you have children. The other thing to be aware of is that the complex insists that you park in the garage. Don't think you can park in a visitors spot for 30 min just to run in and change, as you will find a friendly reminder note on your windshield. The unit itself has coolers, beach toys boogie boards, and snorkel stuff in the garage, beach towels in the 'hidden' closet in the 2nd bathroom, and a very well stocked kitchen. The ocean at the beach club is gentle and the sand perfect for young children. The site is well located with most everything in the area within easy driving distance. We enjoyed our stay! thank you

Not much to add to the other reviews. It's a comfortable 2nd floor (top floor) condo in the Palm Villas condo complex which in turn is in the Mauna Lani resort. Palm Villas has beautiful grounds and a nice pool and hot tub. The rental includes access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club, a sandy beach with generally calm water - great for little kids while also offering snorkeling, paddle boards, etc for the older crowd. This was the third time we rented this property. We love it and will be back!

March 2022
Really loved the overall condo and all the supplies provided in the unit. One thing to consider with kids, they are very strict about keeping the pool quiet even during the middle of the day. They kept telling us it was. "quiet pool" and we were not allowed to make noise. I asked about a "loud" pool and they said that none of the pools allowed noise. That can be fairly hard with three active kids.

We enjoyed our stay in this unit greatly. It has all of the comforts of home. The bed was super comfortable. Thank you for having the extras like the snorkel gear, coolers and toys. The walk to the beach was amazing!

January 2022
Spacious condo and lanai with everything we needed including boogie boards, snorkeling gear, chairs and beach towels. Beautiful grounds with pool and hot tub. Short drive or 10-15 min walk to private beach with parking. Owner was great to work with before and during our stay.

January 2022
We rented the condo over the Christmas break and we were pleasantly surprised by the location and it’s easy access to the beach on Kohanla coast. The condo is furnished with everything you need for a perfect Hawaii getaway, just bring your swim suit and have a great time. With grocery stores, and some incredible restaurants within 5 min drive you can have a great cookout in the lanai or have a dinner with an incredible views at Napua. The condo comes with sand toys for the kids as well as paddle boarding & snorkeling gear for the family. The beach access via lava tubes and fish pond is perfect to start and end your day, and the Petroglyphs park is just a mile away for a fun hike. Although we didn’t golf the location of south course is simply incredible with fairways having Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on one side while the beautiful Pacific on the other. On a sunny day you might get a glimpse of Maui across the ocean.

November 2021
The condo was amazing. We were amazed at how well stocked the condo is, with beach towels, chairs, life jackets, coolers, snorkel gear, umbrellas, water shoes. We had everything we needed and more for our stay! It was a 15-20 minute walk to the beaches and a short drive to beautiful beaches nearby. Having the shops a couple minutes away was great to make our own meals, and the kitchen had all the basics. Being in the mauna lani area was perfect for driving to other areas of the island for hiking. The pool was great and the facility grounds are beautiful. The condo is very well maintained and we appreciated the guidebook with info about the big island. Look forward to our next stay!!

October 2021
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved that it was close to the tennis/pickleball courts. Every morning we enjoyed our walk through the fish ponds to a beautiful private beach for those staying on the Mauna Lani Resort grounds. We spent 6 nights in the Condo and then moved to the Mauna Lani Auberge Resort for 4 nights with my husbands company. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous resort but we missed the condo terribly. If I could I would give this property a 10 star review!! Can't wait to go back.

October 2021
We had a great time but my husband complaint about the hot tub not working the 4 nights we stayed. That was his only request anywhere i booked a condo. Also, we were a total of 5 and only 4 beach towels were available. We could not take bath towels out. My husband and i had to share a beach towel everytime we went to the beach which was the 4 days.

September 2021
Really nice location, and a nice upstairs unit with everything we needed. The unit was clean except the living room floor was dusty & sandy, but there was plenty of cleaning supplies so we cleaned it ourselves.

August 2021
What a great location! Nice access to park and fish ponds for morning walks. Parking pass for the beach is great. Pool and hot tub were a hit with the kids. Beds were really nice and furniture was great. Great layout for our family of six. Garage parking is very nice. I loved the lanai with the really nice grill. Very positive experience. Only a few negatives. Dryer was broken on arrival, but was repaired within 4 days. All "clean" towels smelled pretty bad, guessing that the dryer had been out for the last guests as well. Photos on listing need updating as new twin beds replaced the daybed, really nice update! Could use a few rugs to help with the echo throughout the unit. Well stocked with supplies and extras not even mentioned on listing.

July 2021
Very well stocked kitchen, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas etc. Spacious and a great view of the gardens and pool. Great location and the use of the beach club is well worth it. Highly recommend this place. We have been to the state of Hawaii about 10 times now and this was the nicest place we have stayed so far. Others have had a view of the ocean but this was a great quiet relaxing spot with the best pool. 3rd time to the Big Island. Mauni Lani is the best place to stay. Snorkeled with the Manta Rays and went to a magic show nearby at the Queens Marketplace, snorkeled 7 days in a row, Beach 49, TwoStep, Capt Cook, and most days at the Beach Club. It was great. We have been snorkeling for 40 years and it never gets old.

June 2021
Condo was clean, roomy and quiet. Grounds and pool were nice. Only complaints were rock floor in shower hurt (I know Christina and Tarik on Flip or Flop would love it, but my feet didn’t), dryer didn’t work very well, and parking a Chrysler minivan in the garage was very difficult.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
