Lovely property - perfect for a celebration trip! Hosts were very responsive to any inquiry, and very welcoming. This trip was in celebration of my husband's 80th birthday, and our daughter, her husband and 2 children (3 and 5) joined us. The layout of this home enabled the "older" folk to sleep downstairs, with the rest being upstairs. It was perfect - each room was well appointed, and everything so welcoming. The open layout worked well when everyone was in the big room. Everything that we needed was there.Good location, also - we had stayed in the area before, and were happy to get back. We were able to go to the beach almost every day, and the unit had everything needed for that activity. The access to the Private Beach Club really enhances the value of the stay. Lovely beach, great for kids, snorkelers and divers. Could not improve there.Everyone in our party had a absolutely magical time - many special memories created. Highly recommend. It took me some time before I rated our stay. We stayed in early September and it is now fast approaching Thanksgiving and I could not let go of giving both the Host and property 5 Stars. Prior to booking I do read all the reviews to help facilitate our decisions. I would 100% return and recommend to others.We stayed for 11 nights and the property supplied all our needs in the Kitchen. Well equipped. We were at the beach every day and although we thought we would dine out nightly we actually ended up eating most our meals at the Condo enjoying dinner on the lanai utilizing the outdoor BBQ. The reason we chose the property was due to the Private Beach Club which was one of my favorites of all time. Lounge Chairs and a Bar and Grill on the club property all walking distance to the Mani Lani Resort. The property had everything you need for the beach to include coolers and a wagon to haul all the gear.We went with our 2 recently college graduated daughters and each had their own room and bathroom making getting ready simple and easy. We did have an issue with the Master Bed and the host immediately fix the next morning. Response time was immediate.

Great house! We were 3 couples for a 2 week visit and each had an ensuite which gave us all our own space. The house was super clean, host was very communicative and the amenities made the trip enjoyable! we had access to the pool and gym that was a 3 min walk and the passes to the resort were awesome to take the days off from adventuring to relax. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

Everything went well with the house except two things. We had trouble with the tv in the living area, the wifi kept going out. Also, the shower head in the downstairs bedroom was AWFUL. I let the host know the second day we were there, but nothing was done til we left. The house is in a great area, close to many tourist areas, and quiet.

We had a great time at Sunset Villa! The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for our family of seven — four adults (grandparents and parents) and three kids ages 7, 9, and 11. The beds were cozy, the neighborhood was quiet, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all our meals in.A few small things to note: the lower floor master bed was not a king as listed, which was a bit misleading. The bikes could use a tune-up, the exhaust fan on the deck wasn’t working, and the washer soap dispenser had a note saying it was broken — it would’ve been nice if that had been fixed. Some of the beach gear showed wear (a broken cooler and umbrella), but there was a backup umbrella, and we appreciated having the beach supplies available. A beach bag for toys and snorkel gear would’ve been a nice addition.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the thoughtful touches that made it comfortable. Sunset Villa is a lovely home in a great location, and we’d happily stay again!

Beautiful house and neighborhood. My only suggestion is that the carpet should be cleaned, especially the entry stairs. Access to the Mauna Lani beach club was a terrific amenity, and the availability of chairs, umbrella, and even sand toys exceeded our expectations. So glad to have the washing machine and well equipped kitchen. I would return happily for another wonderful family vacation.

Wow! This property delivered on everything! What a beautiful home located in our favorite part of the Big Island. Our large family fit comfortably in this home. Nothing was missing during our stay. The gourmet kitchen and tranquil pool area are incredible. Fully stocked garage with beach chairs, snorkeling gear, ice chest and umbrellas for days spent at the numerous gorgeous local beaches. Just a short walk to nearby shopping and restaurants and they were fabulous. Mahalo!

The home is in a gated community of the Mauna Lani Resort area which was in a perfect location to explore tide pools and the petroglyphs. The unit is beautiful and well maintained. The hosts provided helpful information prior to our stay, and "how to" instructions during the stay. Access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club was perfect since we had 2 young children. Highly recommend!

The house is very large and on one floor which was important to me and my arthritic knee. It was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean and had everything we needed on first arrival.The location is great--- in walking distance to the shops of Mauni Lani and a short drive to the Beach Club and the outstanding golf courses of Mauna Lani Golf .The pool which is not very deep or long was perfect for my 4 and 7 year old grandchildren. If you wish to swim laps ,there is the community pool.We used the grille on 3 different nights while enjoying the lanai.The backyard has a view of the 13 th hole of the North Course. Despite a large tree in the back of the yard, we could still enjoy nightly sunsets.At 79 , I doubt I will enjoy this beautiful vista again , but perhaps my son and his family who were with us will return again since his wife grew up in Hawaii and has family in Honolulu.

This rental was far nicer than the listing shows. The amenities were superb. The location great, gym great, pool great! The outdoor dining was perfect and used for every meal. BBQ was great and easy to use. The linens and beds were far nicer than any other rental I've been in. I guess in short, the place was FANTASTIC!The hosts were always quick to response (I had questions prior to going, none while I was there.) The instruction book and instructions for use were perfect.

Our family returned to this beautiful Mauna Lani home for another visit to the Big Island, and once again we could not have more happy with the experience from beginning to end. The home and property are better than ever, with impeccable attention to detail inside and out. We love staying near to our favorite beaches and getaway adventures around the island. And the off days spent relaxing at home here were a vacation within a vacation. There's nothing I would ask to change about the property or the quality of the experience overall, and I expect we'll get a chance to visit the Big Island, and this lovely home, again before too long!

This 3 BR home townhome was our Big Island "home away from home." We loved the large and beautiful kitchen/living room and bedrooms. Sipping coffee/drinks and watching tropical birds at the bird feeder from the lanai were relaxing and entertaining. There were plenty of towels, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry supplies.Excellent beaches, golf courses, restaurants, and Luaus were within a 15 min drive. We utilized the Mauna Lani private beach and club several times. We appreciated the wonderful welcome documents with guidance and suggestions for our stay: The property owners are so kind and friendly.We can't wait to return again in the future.

This townhome was a perfect fit for our big family. Everything was clean and generously stocked (although we could have used a few extra bath towels). The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen we've ever had at a vacation rental. There were beach towels, toys and chairs but no umbrella. The outdoor grill was great also. We had some great meals at home. The beds were comfy. Nice quiet area within walking distance to the Foodland shopping center. The house does not get a ton of sunlight but not a big deal for us. All check in/out instructions were easy and clear. We'd definitely stay here again.

Very nice Town Home. Very well equipped. Everything you could want was supplied. Plus very good onsite ma nagement. The coffee grinder quit working and the onsite manager replaced within 1 day. Very well stocked condiments. And Coffee. And every kitchen utensil you could ask for. Excellent shape and condition. Plenty of towels, both beach and regular. Plenty of dishes and silverware. Although no view of the ocean, it was short walking distance to the Shops, which included a well stocked Foodland, good coffee shop, and Tommy Bahama's restaurant, which was excellent.Excellent fitness center close by with all new, working machines. Pool at fitness center is nice and good for when you don't want to go to the beach.We had a wonderful time and great family vacation.
