The home is beautifully decorated with everything Hawaii is. It is fully stocked with everything you need and is nothing less than immaculate. The property manager is WONDERFUL and the location is perfect. We truly enjoyed this private home from its comfort to its elegance. We have visited the island many times before and this home made this year’s return the best yet. We can’t wait to come back!

The place was outstanding. Perfect location and I have never stayed in a house with a better stocked kitchen. We cooked in every night and it was a perfect way to celebrate turning 50. Laura and Kathi were great and easy to communicate with. We will stay again at this property.

We had a great stay here. There were 8 of us total (3 adults, 5 kids aged 5-11) for 6 nights.
The space was great. Large bedrooms, nice bathrooms. The kitchen was expansive and open to a large living room, which was great for family interactions. We cooked most of our meals at the property. The pool was just outside the back patio and was a great asset. All the extra equipment in the garage (beach toys, snorkel gear, boogie boards) really enhanced our trip experience.
Kathi, the property manager, was very responsive throughout.

Family of four stayed in this lovely home. Very private, quiet and peaceful. Single level home a huge plus over two story homes in the area. We love to cook at home and this is the best stocked kitchen on the Big Island. We’ve stayed on Mauna Lani property for past 18 summers. This has been our most favorite property. Very gracious host and would definitely come back. Thank you.

We had an exceptional stay at Laura’s home. It was really perfect for all our needs and we’ve stayed in MANY vacation rentals.
• She was a very responsive, flexible and kind host, and the house was immaculate.
• They have everything you could need for a stay, especially for kids:
o Kids sand toys, children’s books, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, bikes, fish ID books, etc.
• It’s insanely convenient for anything else you could need. Snorkeling Bob’s is around the corner for additional snorkel rentals, and Foodland Farms next door has a great selection of groceries, produce and fish.
• The beach club is a total gem, and you can also easily swing by the Mauna Lani for breakfast or dinner with free parking with validation. Close to some other stellar beaches as well like Hapuna and Mauna Kea (recommend the hike between these beaches).
• The lanai faces the afternoon sun and sunset which makes for glorious afternoons at the house and grilling fish.
• Wifi was great.
• Top notch delonghi espresso machine.
• Outdoor shower is awesome.

Laura was a great host and this is a great property located in the Mauna Lanai community on the Big Island. Because of a flight delay, we missed our first night. Laura was great in working with us to stay an extra night. First trip to the Big Island and had an excellent time.
House - Nice house within gated community. Stocked with everything you could need and then some. Rooms were nicely appointed. Very clean. Pool and hot tub were great. Perfect for family or couples. Very quiet.
Location - the gated community is walkable and there is a small shopping area about half mile or less away. It has a small grocery store (def recommend stopping at Costco by the airport), a couple of restaurants and some shops. Looks like some stuff closed down, maybe because of Covid. The Mauna Lani beach is very nice and relatively quiet. It’s about a mile. A little more than you’d want to walk with beach gear. Would have been nice to have access to bikes or golf cart but did have access to private parking at the beach. We had 3 teenage girls with us who preferred to go to Kona where there are more teenagers. But Mauna Lani is best if you want a slower experience.
All and all a great place and would highly recommend.

We stayed at Laura's beautiful Mauna Lani home for an extended vacation on the Big Island and enjoyed every moment of the visit. The home and property are just perfect. Beautifully maintained, exceptionally well-equipped (seriously, among the best we've ever seen), the location up north on the coast was great for us, the amenities and access to the beach club was a nice bonus, and the checkin process and communication was top-notch throughout. We had no problems whatsoever the entire visit, and would gladly stay in Laura's home again on our next return to the Big Island.

So much attention to detail throughout the house makes this a wonderful vacation experience . We have returned multiple times and greatly appreciate all the owner does to make the stay perfect . Well equipped kitchen is a cooks dream and great beach accessories!
I do hope all guests are respectful so this continues to feel like a home vs some "bare boned" rentals . Highly recommend to all!

We had an excellent time at this home. The Mauna Lani beach club is a great place to snorkel and walk an ocean front path. The house is well stocked with plenty of towels, bedding, pool and beach toys. The kitchen was perfect with high end appliances and everything you could need. The outdoor area is private, comfortable and peaceful. There was plenty of room for our group to be together as well as spread out. My only critique would be of the wi-fi being very slow. We would absolutely love to stay here again!

Overall, the house and layout were great. Our only complaint is that we were informed a few days before our rental period began, which was over Christmas, that one of the AC units was not working, but that they were supposed to have fixed either before we got there or shortly afterward. After talking to to the property manager, she let me know that the AC unit had not been working since July and doubted it would be fixed. The owner did offer for us to cancel the remaining nights and issue a refund, but the reality was there were no similar rentals on such short notice during Christmas. Some people might prefer AC, so if that is the case definitley inquire to make sure it is fixed.

This beautiful home had EVERYTHING you could ever need for your vacation. It is gorgeous and was perfect for our family vacation. The beach club access was great too. Just know, if you want to use the tennis and fitness center, it's pricey.

The house was better than expected! The location was perfect for us, close to the beaches we wanted to visit and plenty of shopping. It was secluded yet just 30 minutes from Kona which we spent plenty of time visiting. If we ever come back to the big island I would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you so much!

Rented for a week and could not have been any happier. The house is inviting, spacious, and wonderfully decorated. Beach club and restaurant were awesome. Having a pool in the backyard was very convenient (especially with a 6 month old).
Everything from beginning to end was great. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

We were absolutely thrilled with the house. We have never encountered a house so well equipped and any minor issues were dealt immediately.
It was a perfect place to use as a hob for the many attractions on the Big Island.
Even the lava flow was spectacular.

I can't say enough good things about our recent stay in Mauna Lani and this amazing home. First of all the contact with the owner, Laura, was easy and made me feel comfortable that I was renting from a responsible owner. Kathi was very helpful once we arrived.
The house was extremely comfortable, spacious, and clean with a large kitchen well supplied with cookware, dishes and appliances. We also enjoyed using the outdoor grill by the pool. The three bedrooms are large, the master being the most spacious and elegant, and all have large separate bathrooms which was a requirement for us, traveling as three couples. The beds were comfortable!! The location of the house at the end of the street, and the yard with pool, provided a sense of privacy and quiet which we enjoyed especially when drinking our coffee outside every morning!
While the house has a small pool and the Villages community has a very nice pool area with a workout room, we mostly used the Beach Club for lounging, snorkeling and even diving. The beach was great and the water protected from wind and big surf. The restaurant right on the beach was perfect for a midday meal and drinks. We ended up renting cruiser bikes to get around the property of Mauna Lani, which has a lot to offer and is well kept up.
We also appreciated the location of Mauna Lani and its proximity to many of the Islands attractions such as Hapuna Beach, the Mona Kea and the town of Waimea, for shopping and Farmers Markets. But after a busy day, I always felt good about having such a peaceful and comfortable home-base to return to.

Our stay at this Mauna Lani property was wonderful. The house is beyond amazing. It's not what one would expect of a rental property and it's obvious it's more the owner's second home than a rental. There is an onsite manager (Kathi) that you can contact and ask questions of, but also the owner (Laura) is extremely responsive. We really loved that the home had a pool and spa, although there is also a common one for the development (Villages at Mauna Lani) along with a private beach club. Shopping, restaurants, and a grocery store are within walking distance (be sure to apply for a Foodland Maika'i card for great discounts at the store). We found ourselves spending more time at "home" than we did touring. We'll be reminiscing about this place for years to come.
