Well stocked VRBO and very responsive host! Great location, close to the pool and short walk to A-bay. Some of the appliances showed their age but all worked well. The master and twin beds bedroom stayed a fair amount warmer than the open areas. If you’re looking for a good rental, hands-down this checks almost all of the boxes!

Lots of space for our family of 5. We have kids between the ages of 13-17 so we maybe didn’t need the Hilton pool pass because the pool on the property was fine for the amount of lounging they do. For younger kids, pool pass would be better for playing. We had family staying in the next building over so everyone walked back & forth & had multiple areas to hangout in. Property exceeded our expectations.

We had a few small issues at check in but the property manager was quick to remedy. The condo has everything you need, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, beach toys, plenty of towels. The pool on the property is lovely but they don’t allow rough housing by kids (it’s not huge so understandable). The beach consistently has sea turtles swimming and feeding and the view is stunning. Great location to drive to Kona to swim with manta rays, drive north to Hawi for zip lining or about two hours from volcanoes national park.

This was a very comfortable condo, and as is mentioned frequently, is very close to the beach/pool and trail to the ocean. The location on the island is beautiful, and we truly enjoyed Kolea resorts, with the groundskeeping, nearby restaurants and shops, and nearby beach. While the condo does not have an ocean view, it is easy to walk down to the beach. The area feels very safe. Robert let us have a little extra time on the day of checkout as well.

We love to stay at Kolea and have been visiting every year for over a dozen years. This year we wanted a ground floor unit and this one worked well for us. One thing we hadn't considered about being on the ground was bugs - we were visited by a centipede in the kitchen once evening and a spider by the front door the next night. Both were removed easily. This condo is wonderful! The space is very roomy with high ceilings, great furnishings and comfortable beds. The lanai is also wonderful, and we loved being able to open the doors up entirely to let the wonderful beach air into the condo. The beach toys closet is also fully stocked with everything a family of 4 needs for the beach.My only note is around the pool - travelers should be aware that the pool is a relaxation pool and does not allow floats or balls. While this was a bummer at first, we actually didn't need the pool because there are so many things to do in a short walk or drive.

Kim’s place is a serene oasis. The entire Kokea complex is incredibly impressive. The combination of the Lanai, outdoor grill, fridge, and the wall of glass that seamlessly blends into the wall creates a magical ambiance. I highly recommend trying the fresh catch of the day at Kona Fish. Enjoy grilling while watching the sun set, the sky transform into a pink hue, and torches illuminate the area.We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

This was our second stay in the same apartment- and the level of cleanliness was exceptional both times (4 years apart). We enjoyed enormously being able to return to the same area, feeling even more at ease and comfortable knowing the area- and Kolea is really a beautiful experience all around. We plan to return. The view never gets old- and the level of quiet that n the area despite all the guests was impressive made enjoying outdoor time on the lanai very pleasant.

Wonderful place - the pool, hot tub and beach were perfect. Pool is heated which is a plus. Property is gorgeous. Home is well cared for. It had all the amenities to make our week long stay as a family with 2 teen daughters easy, fun, and memorable. Easy walk to Kings Shops and Quuens Market Place. We come to the islands at least once a year. Previously, we rented a house in the Kolea area, but this time it was just adults, so the 2-suite condo was an excellent configuration - we stayed 2 weeks. For the most part, we really liked the condo - it's well located with easy access to the beach and it's quiet. We would recommend arriving your first day in daylight. It will be much easier to find the building. The complex is large with very subdued lighting - very pretty. The only reasons we didn't give 5 stars were, it was not as well-stocked with basics like Kleenex and sponges as we were accustomed to from previous rentals, which required an immediate shopping trip; the carpet needs a good cleaning (maybe do something different from beige, which is impossible to keep clean with so much traffic), and we only had hot water about half the time.We figured out that in some of the bath sinks, hot is plumbed on the left and on the other sinks, it's plumbed on the right. Despite figuring that out, we couldn't always get hot water. The maintenance person Steve is very responsive and helpful but even he was puzzled by the hot water problem. The Resortica office was responsive but I sensed they thought I was the problem, that I just didn't know how to work things. I expect that everything is now in good working order. We enjoyed our stay.

Amenities were nice it was close to the beach and the grounds were very well kept. The view and house was cozy and clean and there was a reusable tote with some other goodies when we arrived. (You’ll need the tote to carey anything you buy at the local market down the street if you don’t want to buy one.) The rug and furniture in the living room was a little dirty, old. There was a couple bulbs that needed to be replaced due to being burned out in the secondary bathroom and master bedroom but overall the bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed! The only thing missing was beach chairs which was listed as something the place came with on the listing. We enjoyed our time overall, very quiet, safe and clean.

The penthouse was beautiful, so well appointed in both rooms were spacious with en suite bathrooms. We loved how close it was to everything… A few steps to the pool, to the beach and to several great restaurants, the condo had all the things that you needed from chairs and towels for the beach to great kitchen appliances and amenities.
