We had a beautiful stay at this rental. The owners communication was great. We appreciated the little things like ketchup, outdoor grill, playing cards, dishwasher detergent, beach umbrella, chairs. I put my head down and fell asleep in seconds each night. The beds are very comfortable. The location across from the pool was Perfect for an early swim. They also have coffee at the club house :) my only suggestion is to get a full length mirror so I can see my shoes with my outfit. We will definitely be back. Did I mention the pool is the perfect warm temperature? And it’s right next to A Bay?! Amazing rental.

We stayed here with our 2 teenage boys this February. The location is absolutely wonderful and very relaxing. The condo is exactly as described and extremely comfortable from the beds, couch to the lanai chairs. More than enough space for everyone to spread out. Lovely view from the lanai as well. Easy walk to A-bay, great for a day at the beach with a stunning sunset. I appreciated the sidewalks and bike lanes on the main road for my runs in the morning. Also a short walk (7-10 minutes to the stores king and queens market) I would highly recommend this rental if you are looking for a low key relaxing location on the Big Island.

We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and walkable beaches. The only suggestion is to have an adult area at the pool. Kids pool was beautiful (sandy beach and waterfall), but the families said water was too cold, so all the kiddos seem to be at the big pool. Quite loud at times. We loved the community and would return again!

The property was outstanding overall. The kitchen appliances and supplies were top notch as were the bathrooms and laundry room. In addition to these pluses, the location, the building and the beach club amenities were just as impressive making for a wonderful experience. The one area needing improvement is the quality of the beds and mattresses. The twin beds were not anchored to the headboard so they slid easily. The secondary king bed was very creaky and seemed worn. The master king matress sagged on the side forcing me to the center of the bed to get comfortable. Since these are not quick fixes, we did not want to disrupt our stay by complaining during our rental period. We managed okay and suggest that the beds be upgraded to match the high level of the rest of the condo as soon as possible.

Ideal location — walking distance to a beautiful private pool, steps away from beach, ocean activities, and shopping. The condo was well equipped, including the kitchen, bathrooms, outdoor patio with full sliding doors, beach supplies. and the entire unit was very clean with comfortable amenities. First of all, we loved our condo. It was very clean. Wanted nothing else. Bed was comfortable and showers were good. Nice to have a grill for our steaks one night. The parking was covered so it’s an added plus. Management was very accommodating. Having shops nearby very convenient. Island Gourmet Market in the Queens market place was great to buy a few essentials on way to condo. Our larger purchase was at a foodland near by This is a good place for families. The pool was always full of children being very loud. As big as this complex is, the pool was very small.Walk to the beach was OK. We cut through the back of the area to walk on the sidewalk instead of walking along the sand it took the same amount of time.

Wendee was very helpful. Found bedrooms quite dirty. Especially front bedrooms. Had some issues with ants. They rectified quickly but still present for half our stay. Had to throw out a lot of food. Kitchen supplies could be renewed cups very warm. Beach toys could be renewed mostly warn or broken.

We stayed 14 days. Best stocked condo we’ve ever stayed in, including beach gear. It has a great lanai with very comfortable lounging furniture. Always chaises available by the infinity edge pool, grounds were immaculate. This is a very comfortable condo for 2-4 people. Both bathrooms are en-suite. Everything you need is there when you check-in. Very happy surprise to find a huge bowls of fresh fruit. We’ll be back next year!

Loved the property and the location. Wendee is super flexible with check in and very responsive and helpful with any questions I had or any issues that came up while at the property. The grounds are well kept and the pool is spectacular! You are steps away from the beach and can watch sunset every night. The condo is fully stocked with everything you need. Great layout out of the condo and good location but there is a smell in that condo that is overpowering...almost like people smoked in there and chemicals or ozone units tried to cover it up. Or a musky stale smell. Got home and our clothes smelled horrible.Notified the management company and they were going to look into it. Carpet through out and had some stains. Maybe the smell was from the carpet or HVAC but only way to make it livable was open all windows.

Nice property, very good kitchen supplies setup; however the advertisement picture was somehow misleading -taken under an angle to show a partial ocean view... Instead, facing full front another building ( since no blinds in the living room - no privacy at all there plus very bright in the room at night) The most annoying thing - AC was so loud it woke us up each time AC turned ON, sounded like a plane taking off. Pool staff did not take any actions when the rules of the pool (noise, diving, kids screaming their heads off) were broken. One day pool was even closed as someone pooped in the pool. Very different from our previous stays at Kolea.

We had an excellent stay. The condo was perfect for the two families that shared it. Plenty of space, lots of amenities, very comfortable furniture including the beds, very nice lanai with a great BBQ. This location was as close as you can get to the pool and the beach without paying the outrages rates to be right on the beach. It's literally a 2 minute walk to the pool and a 5 minute walk to the beach. It's also a 5 minute walk to the shopping centers near by. I would highly recommend this property and it's owner who was extremely prompt on answering our questions. We will definitley be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hula Moon Villa! We have stayed at the Marriott next to Kolea previously, but staying here was so much more relaxing and enjoyable. The Kolea complex is beautiful, quiet and perfectly located. The condo itself was very clean and came with everything that we would need. We particularly liked having beach chairs and umbrellas as we have had to buy those in the past. We loved walking to the shops and to dinner nightly. Communication with the owner was prompt. We loved every minute, and will be back next year!

This is a lovely, clean, modern, comfortable condo that is only 5 minutes to the swimming pool and another 5 minutes to a white sand beach (rare on the Kona side of the island). Even the sprawling Hilton to the north of the condo development does not have a nice beach like this one. You'll have a great time here!P.S. When you look for the hideakey, note that the lockbox is on the 3rd floor where the unit is.
