My daughters and I had a wonderful stay here! The location can't be beat with the beach, pool, shopping, and restaurants so close by. But, the condo is so lovely and well equipped, and the owners were in communication the whole way through the process. Our only thing is we wish we had more time to enjoy it---we are island hopping and only had about 4 days. We will be back! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

after multiple stays in the Waikoloa resort area, what a treat to find a condo that lived up to it's billing. Everything was immaculate. Kitchen fully stocked, appliances, utensils, etc. all in great shape. Location was great and we were able to take our grandson on easy day trips to different beaches. He especially enjoyed the boogie boards and other beach equipment. The Ocean Sports snorkel trip and Blue Hawaiian helicopter tours were both well worth it and highlights for us. We would return in a minute!

The condo was a perfect play to stay for 2 families with kids. We walked to the beach in the morning and hung out at the pool everyday. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and more. The owners were so kind, responsive, and anticipated our every need - coolers, beach towels, chairs & boogie boards - even a wagon to carry everything. We were especially grateful for their generosity and extended our check-out by a few hours because we had a super late flight. I highly recommend this condo.

Check I was super easy, the place is how it was described (we’ve been to the property many times) we cooked in most nights. As to be expected the knives were not sharp and that’s why we alway bring our own. Tons of beach accessories like chairs umbrella and coolers in the garage storage. Would stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is great. They pay attention to reviews and make changes. For example, there were beach towels provided, sand toys and even a boogie board which was so fun--thank you! There are now multiple cards to get into the pool, however they did not work for us--only the key fob worked. There was a sponge to do dishes, but yes there are no spices. We bought salt and pepper and left them. The shades in the twin beds room were both broken, but my two teens didn't care. All in all, it was a great place and we'd happily stay here again.

Pros: Phenomenal location. Excellent, super-kind & responsive hosts. Well-appointed home, kitchen & beach gear. Cons: Feels tired and in need of new mattresses (hard, squeaky, uncomfortable), better cleaners, and better property manager.-Barbecue was so dirty with fat drippings that it caught fire (2 foot flames out the back within 1 minute) so we couldn't grill like we planned and shopped for.-Ice machine in refrigerator was broken so we had to walk down to beach club with cooler.-Shower floors & walls, handheld shower heads, & bathtub had black fungus because there are not enough fans to remove moisture (just in water closet areas).

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay on the big island of Hawaii. The location was central to all of the activities we planned out. Access to the beautiful pool and beach was walking distance and took only minutes. And of course the views were spectacular too. Shops and restaurants were also really close by. We had a wonderful time at this luxurious condo. It has everything you could possibly need (including top-of-the-line kitchen appliances, very comfortable beds, a washer/dryer, paper products/laundry supplies/condiments & spices, and many other conveniences). The condo decor is lovely, with lots of hardwood (mahogany?) and elegant tile throughout. We appreciated the beautiful artwork and other decor elements. We loved the expansive lanai, which gave us a beautiful sunset view as well as a view of A-Bay. The location is perfect (within walking distance of the Queens' Marketplace and Kings Shops, a few minutes' walk to the pool, and a 5-minute walk to A-Bay). The pool area is wonderful with an infinity pool and hot tub. It never felt crowded, and there were plenty of poolside chairs. We had a fantastic time and hope to return!

We walked to the beach, pool, Kings and Queens Marketplace, Hilton, etc. We loved our stay and could not have selected a better place. The condo had everything we needed, including a wonderful lanai (with an ocean view), all necessary items for the beach, etc. I am very picky and put a lot of research into this trip. We love to stay in Kolea as my husband does Lavaman triathlon every year. You cannot beat the location - walking distance to A Bay where the race begins. This condo in building 15 on the 2nd floor met our needs. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of plates, cups, wine glasses and cooking pots and pans. We were a bit surprised that there weren't many spices/condiments in the fridge/cabinet, and we couldn't locate any dish towels (ended up using bath hand towel, and then bought some, that we brought home.) We enjoyed having the dining table on the lanai and ate many meals outside. I was a little concerned that I did not receive any of the check-in information (gate & door codes) until the day of arrival, but it did get to me before we arrived on the island. Since we had a red eye going home, we asked for a late check-out which was granted at no charge. While we hung out in the condo our last morning, we washed & dried the sheets and most of the towels, and the host was very grateful and so surprised. All in all, a beautiful 10 day stay on the Big Island.

We had six adults, and the condo was the perfect size for our group. It’s in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance to the market, shops, and restaurants. The pool facility was just steps away and offered a stunning view, with the beach located just beyond it.The property was well stocked, and we especially appreciated having beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, and a couple of snorkel sets available. For those traveling with children, there was also a wagon and sand toys. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the lanai and made good use of the BBQ. Located on the bottom floor with direct access to a beautiful lawn was also a bonus.Wendee was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay. While the view of the water is currently partially obstructed by a fence and nearby construction, it didn’t impact our experience. The gym on-site is small and limited to cardio equipment, with no weights available.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

We’ve stayed in Waikoloa many times, but our first experience at Kolea Kai was truly exceptional. The condo exceeded all our expectations, providing everything we needed for a perfect stay. We were fortunate to meet Steve and Maryanne, the gracious owners, who stopped by to pick up some items from their closet. They were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home.The condo was thoughtfully appointed with ample storage space and all necessary supplies, so we didn't have to purchase anything during our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking essentials and basic food items like condiments, olive oil, and spices. The beds were comfortable, and the condo remained cool throughout our stay.We particularly loved the pool area, which was the nicest we've ever experienced in a condo complex. The attendant provided towels, adding a touch of luxury to our poolside relaxation. The condo's location was perfect, with a short walk to the beach and a partial ocean view from our top-floor unit.Overall, our stay was fabulous, and we would definitely book again!

This property was great and just as advertised. It was very comfortable for my family which included my husband and I and our 11 year old twins. It was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything you might need for a wonderful stay. They even had beach chairs, umbrella, coolers and boogie boards. We especially loved sliding the doors to the lanai wide open and enjoying the ocean breeze while we grilled our marlin steaks. It was quiet and in a lovely location just steps from the pool and beach. There is also a market very close by for groceries along with restaurants and shops. The owner was so helpful and responsive to anything we needed. We were very sad to leave and will definitely come back. Don’t hesitate to stay here. You will love it!

We had an excellent stay. Very large and well-furnished rooms, beyond-the-basics kitchen equipment and cooking/eating supplies. Outdoor pool/beach equipment was plentiful/beyond expectations. The condo was just as described and we love how walkable the condo is to the Hilton, the markets, and strolling along Anaehoʻomalu Bay. Having the Hilton passes for my 16 year old son and his friend was a bonus since the pool at Kolea is strict about playing with balls or any pool toys and the Hilton pool is move lively and fun for kids. Communication with Resortica was easy and they were incredibly responsively and timely. The Condo was clean and comfortable and well equipped. My only criticism is that the couch is older and not comfortable. Overall, an excellent place we’d stay again.
