The overall property, pool, and location were wonderful. Unfortunately, the unit was not clean. Apparently, they had recently done a pest remediation, but hadn't cleaned after that happened. There were dead cockroaches and bugs all over the unit, particularly in the bedrooms... over 10 in the master, 1 in the master shower, and multiple in each of of our kid's rooms.Outside of the bugs, the carpets were really dirty, the bathroom tile grout was black with built up dirt, mold/mildew visible in the shower drains, and there was a massive amount of dust built up on the ceiling fans. The main living space (kitchen, living room, etc.) were better, but the rug and couch still needed a good cleaning. When I informed the staff, we were told that someone could be sent the same day to address these concerns and offered a refund on the cleaning fee, which I appreciated. That said, the unit still didn't feel clean after that service. I would absolutely come back to this area/complex, but would probably not through the same company.

The host Hannah, and every aspect of this home was perfect. The attention to detail and anticipation of our needs was obvious and much appreciated. We spent two relaxing weeks at the property with another couple. The space provided all we needed and more. Bedrooms separated for privacy, and each has a master bath. The property is located within a short walk of A-Bay (beach access, no having to get in your car), Lava Lava Beach Club (great food, beverages, sunsets and nightly live music), an easy drive to many golf courses and sights on the Big Island, and two shopping complexes a short stroll away. It was our second stay at the complex. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool area nicely appointed, including a fun sandy "beach" area for the kiddos. The list of positives for this unit is long. Besides those mentioned above other standouts include: wine fridge, kitchen is well stocked with spices, pots and pans, etc. all you need to dine in or prepare a meal on the lanai at the outdoor kitchen (think grilling fresh caught fish) while enjoying a favorite island beverage and watching the sunset colors fade. The list continues with: comfy beds and linens, plenty of paper products, soaps, and incidentals, guest book of suggestions of local places to tour, dine and shop, easy check-in/check-out, GREAT communication and response time from hosts, comfy furniture and decor for indoor/outdoor living, closet full of beach chairs, toys, etc., coolers of various sizes to accommodate any need and plenty of beach towels. We hope to return and enjoy the unit and the lovely accommodations again.

The unit came fully equipped with every thing you would need in the kitchen. Unit very clean. 2 bedrooms. Very quiet neighborhood. About a 5 minute walk to the pool, and another minute to "A" Bay Beach. Owner was very responsive to any and all inquires. Without hesitation we would stay here again. We noticed that the Ceiling fans and fan lights are on the same switch and using the dimmer reduces the fan speed and dims the light. The other switch not sure what it controls. The outdoor grill needs to be cleaned. We had a lot of flare ups due to built up grease. We greatly appreciate the abundance of towels. My wife and daughter both have long hair and having extra towels was a big plus. The outdoor Lanai was enjoyed by all. Really enjoyed our stay.

Kolea is a beautiful property within walking distance to A-Bay. The condo was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Nice partial view of the bay from the lanai. Adriana with LUVA was very helpful and responded promptly to any questions. I would highly recommend this condo and plan to return again in the near future.

Unforgettable trip and memories on our family trip. Absolutely stunning condo with great pool/amenities right across the street. Owners were extremely responsive and helpful with easy to follow instructions to access the property. We sat outside just about every meal enjoying the view and weather. Not a question of if, but when we visit the big island again, we would stay at Kolea 10D in a heartbeat.

Hula Moon Villa is a beautiful property located in Waikoloa at Kolea. The deck had a great view and inside the Condo was spectacular. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were very comfortable. This is our second stay at Hula Moon! Our host was easy to reach and always helpful.Kolea is an incredible property with a beautiful pool.It is a short walk to A Bay and to the Marriot.

Great location & easily accessible. The pool area was convenient with plenty of seating. No early morning reservation of lounge chairs like you get at many hotels in HI. Easy walk to Marriott on the private path to get craft coffee and pastries in the morning (or just get free coffee in their club house). A lot of walkability to shops and restaurants. There is a beautiful trail that goes along the ocean from the Hilton to the Marriott. Not to mention the sunset from the bay at the Marriott. Covered parking kept the heat down in August. Well equipped closet with beach gear (though we didn't need it). All around relaxing place and neighborhood. The host was very kind to send me information more than once when I missed messages & I had no issues once I arrived. Only considerations: some people might find the A/C setting too high for their normal temp in the height of summer & yes, it's HI, sometimes you get extra little insect visitors.

This is the third year in a row that we stayed at the Kolea at Waikōloa Beach Resort, but first time at this property. This was for sure our favorite as the property was very spacious, well kept and just an overall beautiful place. The ocean view was very nice and of course all the local amenities from the awesome pool area, the beach, Queens Market and the other close restaurants are all great plus's.We definitely will be back!!!

EJ was a pleasure to deal with. Communication was fantastic. He and the property manager were available and responded with any questions I asked. The location is great related to that part of the island. We enjoyed the beach associated with the property and the pool was a great way to chill at the end of the day. Parking was easy. We had ample storage for our luggage for family of 5. The beach toys and snorkel gear the owner has in the closet is a nice touch. As well as beach towels. We bought a few snorkels for our family and used the ones provided. Beds are all comfortable. Living room space is ample. The lanai was nice as well. I would absolutely stay again. We loved the location and the property.

My husband, two young sons, and I had a great stay at Villa de Aloha! We were happy to find that the condo has a pack 'n play, beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys, pool noodles, boogie boards, cooler, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, and body wash. The kitchen is a good size and is well appointed. We loved the balcony/deck and the outdoor grill. The condo community (Kolea) is beautiful and it is a short walk from the unit to the beach and the pool. The pool is stunning with a view of the ocean and there is a separate shallow pool with a sandy bottom that is great for kids. The condo is also very close to the Queens Marketplace and the Kings Shops. The condo is a very good value for the money. We would definitely stay here again! I suggest bringing a sweatshirt because it can get chilly at night in the unit with the AC (the owner asked that we keep it set to 72 degrees), but we were very glad to have the central AC!

This was a beautiful property super close to the beach! Our family of seven adults and one infant thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The host was responsive to request and provided beach equipment and had cribs and high chairs for the baby. The home was clean. We also appreciated how the clubhouse for the complex was on the beach. It allows us to play on the sand and then come back, rinse off and jump in the pool. Another feature was that we were super close to the King and Queen‘s markets along with many restaurants and shopping opportunities.

The condo was very centrally located and well appointed. We had a fabulous time. The second bedroom with its massive onsuite was perfect for two teenage girls. They felt like they had their own apartment. The central location was also perfect because they could walk to the gorgeous pool, market, the movies, the shops and the beach by themselves so they got in some quality free range kid time.Additionally, Resortica Hawaii, the property management company for the rental was absolutely wonderful. Everything was seamless.

The condo is incredible! We had 6 people stay in the unit comfortably, with enough bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms for everyone. The condo is spacious, and there are places to come together as a group and to have time alone. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the view of the mountains. The unit is very quiet and peaceful.The location is awesome! It's right across the street from the pool, hot tub, and exercise facility. The beach and "A-Bay" are a short walk beyond the pool. We also walked to the Kings Shops and the petroglyph preserve. Everything was so convenient.We encountered a few issues when we arrived. We called the office, but it was closed for the day, so we were worried about responsiveness. We left messages via the VRBO platform, and were pleasantly surprised when the team responded within minutes. They worked hard to resolve the issues as quickly as possible, even though it was "after hours" for them and their contractors. We really appreciated everyone's sense of urgency and dedication. We were told that this was the first time that these issues had happened. The team was gracious to compensate us for the inconvenience.On our departure date, I went on an errand and lost one of the keys somehow. I'd never done that before, and I asked to be charged for the replacement. The team was gracious to waive the charge, even though I expected to be accountable for my mistake.

Our stay began with some challenges as the ac unit was not working. Although the repair was made the next day, we had to move to a hotel for one night because it was too hot to stay in the apartment. While we did receive a partial refund for the first night, having to move into a hotel was tiresome and inconvenient. The unit itself was very spacious. However, the furniture and decor in the living room is in need of an upgrade.

We love this Kolea neighborhood for its beauty, beautiful grounds, pool area, and especially its accessibility to shops and the beach! This particular unit was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were high end. What was awesome was the big common grass area the patio opens up to. The kids could run around and chase birds all morning.
