Stayed at this property with my husband, toddler and infant. Perfect for family with small children. Tall ceilings and nice furnishings/appliances. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped for both toddler (floaties and kitchen utensils) and infant (high chair and pack n play), which was much appreciated! The pool area was quiet and great for families with young kids. Short walk to the beach if you want. We separately rented a wagon/pool toys to transport things down to the pool and it was super easy. Agreed with other reviewers that the building is hard to find due to lack of signage in the complex. Will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit!

If you want to be close to a beach yet have a stunning place to hang out poolside, this is the place for.you. comfortable beds and super clean.
The only thing I can fault this unit for is on hot days the air conditioner doesn't quite keep cool enough in the spare bedroom for sleeping, there is a fan which helps. We never opened the lanai doors for that reason. We rented a golf cart and really enjoyed cruizin' all over in it.

Fantastic view, upscale use of Koa Wood. All amenities included, 3 flat screen TV’S, Stainless appliances, Washer/Dryer, beautiful pool area with easy access to beach, Use of Marriott and Hilton’s
amenities, carport, A/C. It is also a very quiet setting but steps to restaurants and shops. It is only 20 minutes from the airport, Cisco and Safeway. Unforgettable experience and very romantic too! ❤️

Overall, wonderful stay in Kolea 15E. The place was immaculate and we really appreciated all of the supplies in the garage to facilitate our stay (chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, cooler, etc.). The view was perfect, there was a short walk to a beautiful beach, and our local contact Dani was really responsive when we needed. Thank you!

It was a bit of a challenge first finding the condo. (I didn’t realize it was in building 15.) Dani, the property manager, was totally available and gave us the guidance we needed to find it. Once we found it, wow! The place was immaculate and impressive. The communal pool and hot tub were great to visit and overlooked an amazing view of palms and the ocean. Great beach access. It was a wonderful base for our time on the Big Island. Walking distance to shops.

Our travels to the Big Island were exhausting and finding our way to the condo was frustrating after dark. However, when we woke up the next morning and sat on the lanai, had breakfast and listened to the tropical birds singing, we decided that it was all worth it. The photos of the unit and description of the amenities are all accurate. The resort area surrounding the condo is lush and beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities right in the resort so you don't have to drive far if you don't want to. Everything is first class. We had a few minor maintenance items like burned out light bulbs that were taken care of by the property management people immediately. We did arrive after sunset and did have trouble finding the unit. The lavish resort gets pretty dark at night. The gate keypad that is normally illuminated, was not and we had to use a flashlight to find it. There are small signs indicating the building numbers but they use subdued colors and are hard to find and read after dark. Once at building 15, take the elevator to the second floor. Exit right to unit 15E. The lock box is not at the door of the unit. Find it around the corner where the steps are located. Good luck reading the numbers on the lock box as they are shiny chrome in a dark area. Using a flashlight created a glare that makes reading the numbers almost impossible. The parking stall is located just around the corner from building 15. It is marked but very difficult to read the "E" after dark. It is about the middle of the stall area. Once you get into the condo and get settled, life starts getting great again. We had a wonderful time while there and would go back in a heart beat.

We are a family of 5 and had an absolutely perfect stay at Kolea Waikoloa. The condo was spotless and so well equipped. The area is fantastic with easy access to great restaurants shops grocery stores excursions. We would definitely stay there again! Highly recommended.

A spacious, well equipped 2BR, 2 BA with great views and beach access. Comfortable beds, up to date kitchen and beautiful lanai. Plus the beach club with an infinity pool, hot tub all within a short walking distance (less than 5 minutes). That doesn't even count all the amenities of Waikoloa and the A-Bay access. What a wonderful condo and stay on the Big Island.

The location was amazing! The condo was so clean, convenient and beautiful! Sandy was so easy to communicate with and very accommodating when we asked for early check in. The pool and spa on the grounds is stunning and the beach is steps away from the unit. The Marriott is right next door so you are able to enjoy live music, food and drinks if you choose. I hope to go back soon!

This was our first time staying at Kolea and this unit was perfect for us! We enjoyed the amazing view, loved the short walk to the pool and beach and even the shops nearby. The place was beautifully decorated and had all of the amenities in the kitchen you would need to make a home cooked meal. Bedrooms were cozy and plenty of towels provided, even some for the beach! We would love to stay here again.
On a personal note, we accidentally left a small baby blanket underneath the kids' bed and the local host was so quick to respond and graciously returned it to us via mail! We had been so heartbroken we had left it behind but Dani made sure we got it back. Such amazing customer service! Thank you again Dani.

We could not have had a nicer experience. It was our first time on the Big Island and we met up with friends who live in Hilo. For both them and ourselves Kolea was a tranquil escape- we couldn’t have been happier and hope to return again. The location, the views, and the conveniences were sublime. We had a truly lovely stay and can’t recommend it enough.

We love the location of this villa which is so close to amazing beaches for swimming and snorkeling, and a 5 minute walk to beautiful A Bay. It was so nice to have basic amenities included, the view from the lanai was gorgeous, and the beds were very comfy. We will definitely stay here again!

We have been coming to the Big Island, specifically Waikoloa Beach, for many years. There are many nice places to stay, for sure. This was the first time we’ve stayed in the Kolea sub division. Our condo was very nice and comfortable. The view from the lanai was fantastic (exactly as described, no photo tricks). We were only steps away from the beach and pool. And only a very short walk to shopping and dining. For us the location was perfect and the condo was very comfortable. It was an absolute pleasure staying here and we look forward to staying again during our next visit (already booked).

This is our fourth Kolea vacation at Waikoloa Beach, and unit 15E is the nicest unit we have stayed in. In fact, we booked next year’s stay before this stay ended. We have enjoyed the view from the lanai, which is unobstructed, and therefore more attractive than other units we have stayed in. The kitchen is well equipped, and the mattresses very comfortable. The unit has all that we would want, to rebook year after year.

We had a great stay at Kolea. The condo was well cared for and had everything we needed for our stay. The property managers were very responsive when we had a maintenance issue. Unfortunately because of the timing (Christmas day), they were unable to get anyone to fix it and we were unable to use one of the bathrooms for several days. The Kolea property is gorgeous and well designed. Our extended family stayed in other condos at Kolea and every condo had a view from their deck. Our view was lovely and the big sliding door to the deck made the unit feel even more open and spacious. Even though our condo had other units on all sides, it was very quiet and private. It was an easy walk to shopping, the pool, and the beach. My only criticism is that the pool is TINY!! There were a lot of families trying to use the pool when we were there and we could rarely get a seat near the pool to sit down. It’s not a deal-breaker since the beach is so close and very swimmable for young kids, but something to be aware of if you are planning lots of pool time during your stay. Overall, Kolea is a great place to stay.

Our stay in this condo was absolutely wonderful! It is organized and set up well, very clean, and communication throughout the process and during our stay was good. Location is perfect for walking to the stores and bayside beach. Our little getaway for my husband's 50th birthday was everything we hoped it would be and this condo was a big reason for that. Beautiful, peaceful, and perfect!

It was our 3rd trip to the area and I’m so glad we went with a condo instead of a hotel.
The property was extremely clean, safe and comfortable.
For those who aren’t familiar location-wise - it’s easy walking distance to the beach, a grocery store/market and several restaurants.
Easy driving location for lots more attractions on the island as well.
I would/will book it again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I chose this specific condo at Kolea based upon the pictures and the previous reviews. Let me just say that the condo met and exceeded our expectations in all areas.
There are ample beach towels, kitchen and bath towels and I must comment that there more kitchen dishes, cooking pots/pans and utensils in this condo than any we have rented on Island in the past (more than 20 trips).
The condo was spotless, the location was great and the communication with the property manager was great.
We certainly will consider another stay here in the future.

The unit and the overall property were fantastic. Great views from both the unit and the pool area. Quick walk to shops and restaurants. Unit is on the 2nd floor and we were pleasantly surprised that the building had an elevator which was great for luggage and groceries. Have stayed at many different condo properties throughout the Hawaiian Islands, and this property is top notch.

Walk to everything from this condo - the beach, pool, market, restaurants, even a rum shack! Kolea Kai - ideally situated in the Waikoloa Beach Resort will exceed your expectations.
Kitchen is well stocked and the beds are clean and comfy. The lanai is exceptional with a great view, Viking BBQ, and a super cold refrigerator for all your beverages. Highlight was the heavy duty rolling lanai doors that allow you to bring the outdoors inside. ENJOY!

We visited for our babymoon. My wife is 7months pregnant with our second and the condo was perfect for us. Very clean, well decorated and nice finishes. The beach club pool and hot tub were great as was the private access to beach. Only thing is we wished the beach had waves but instead it was very calm. We visited several other beaches with waves so no worries.

The "roads" were being repaved. The day before checkin and the day OF checkin the access directly to the unit was blocked. All you could smell was tar. My 96-year-old mother was sickened by the smell. So......I found a way for us to stay where we already were. The property manager did not contact us until 2 days before checkin and did not seem to know that we were renting it!

My family has been to Kolea a few times but this was husband's first trip and we brought the in laws and 2 under 2 along. This condo was perfect. Not too big and wonderful views. We could hear the Marriott luau even! It was easy walking distance down to the pool and when toting 2 little ones that was key. The only issue we had was the washer broke the night we arrived. Which was horrible considering I have a 2 month old who spits up on pretty much everything. When I called the property manager to tell her she was not very helpful and told me that the owner had planned to replace it. So that left us driving to Kona to do laundry.
But overall, it was a nice trip and the condo was great! Hope the get the washer fixed before the next stay! 😉

Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful 2 bedroom condo. Totally modern and well furnished with a great view and quick walk to beach. Very nice quiet pool club by the beach as well. Part of a larger community with restaurants and shops. My favorite nearby destination was the Lava Lava Beach Club. I would recommend this for a family.
