I didn’t feel this unit was up to the standard of others I’ve rented in the same area. It wasn’t super clean. I also felt the furnishings such as the towels & bed linens were poor quality. For the amount we paid it was underwhelming.

We just returned from 10 days on the BI and absolutely loved this property! We are a family of four with kids 5 and 8. The condo is spacious with thoughtful touches and everything you could possibly need to explore the island. Communication with Hannah was excellent and thorough throughout the entire process. Easy walk to A-Bay and the Kings/Queens Shops. Kolea is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or rent from Hannah! Mahalo! 🌺

This was our family's 2nd stay at Kolea, first stay at 16f, and another great vacation! The resort is fantastic--loved the pool, hot tub, and easy access to the great beach. Hannah's condo at 16f is wonderful! I do a lot of food preparation and the kitchen had everything we needed: the pots & pans, cooking utensils, spacious grill and storage containers were plentiful, quality, and varied. We had one small hiccup with the fridge, but Hannah was very responsive and super nice about it, and the repair guy was extremely friendly and efficient. Our previous stay was in Building 9 (which was also great), we weren't sure if building 16 would be a little "too far" from the beach, but that wasn't the case at all--incredibly easy walk to the resort pool and beach. The view from the lanai was spectacular, and we totally loved it. Really nice place and really great vacation.

Wonderful property in so many ways. Great location, easy walking access to beach, pool, amazing trail right along the coast, and nearby shops/restaurants. The inside of the condo was high end and beautiful. Loved the lanai with doors that open to make indoor/outdoor space. Used much of the outdoor gear without having to bring, buy, or rent. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Sad to leave!

We stayed here for the Ironman championship. Both the participants and the family found the place great to stay, everything we need is around the property without being too crowded. Kona is also a short 30min drive away. Property itself is in great condition with lots of space. Highly recommended.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Hannah's condo. Everything we needed was provided, the beds and all furniture were so comfortable, and coffee on the lanai and early evening happy hour on the lanai was perfect. It was my 50th bday, and I opened the refrigerator and found a surprise cake waiting for me. It was indeed a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more special. The only issue was the bbq was not working correctly when we tried to use it, and it was a bit sketchy having to light the grill with a long lighter. I am hopeful they do, in fact, order the part and fix the grill. All in all, very happy with our choice of accommodation.

The attention to detail, the extensive kitchen appropriations, the beach club and the sheer luxury all made this a wonderful escape. The host was on point with all information in advance, and check in and check out was a breeze. We loved the lanai and grilling out in the evenings. This home was so well stocked with everything imaginable in the kitchen. I am a professionally trained chef, so I was very impressed! We only went out to eat once for dinner while we were there for 7 nights.
The location is less than 30 minutes to Kona, making it convenient to activities there. It is a great launch point for Island exploration.
If you’re planning a Big Island escape, this is your place!!

This condo was excellent!! We especially loved the lanai with the BBQ, it made dinners so much easier. The only thing that could have made this unit better was a view of the ocean and a shorter walk to the beach. The resort area was close to the airport, very convenient with restaurants and shops and had easy access to a decent beach with good ocean swimming. The beach club (pool area) was very nice although a bit stuffy. Our kids were quite upset they were not allowed to throw around the football in to pool. If that's sort of thing is really important to you this property may not be for your family, otherwise it's excellent. The host has really thought about little things to make your vacation easier and the condo is abundantly stocked with many conveniences. The storage locker contains just about anything your family would need for a fun day at the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend it.

- Immaculate, beautifully appointed condominium. So much nicer than staying in even a five star hotel room. Great kitchen. Large lanai was perfect for lounging - and grilling!
- Gated condo community, very private feeling and away from the hustle/bustle of the neighboring mega resorts. Grounds beautifully landscaped and maintained.
- Short walk to great private beach club facility, always able to find chairs by the pool. Very clean and relaxing atmosphere. Gorgeous sunsets every night from the secluded beach just outside the beach club facility (and highly recommend dinner at the Lava Lava Beach Club down the beach on the other side of the Marriott).
- Owner-provided beach gear was absolutely fantastic for a day spent at nearby Hapuna beach, including beach chairs and umbrellas (no shade on that beach!).
- Great home base for all the sights around the island
- And most importantly, Hannah was so pleasant to work with, quick with communication and thinks of everything you might need for a relaxing, memorable stay. We hope to be guests of hers again in the future!!!

We had a wonderful time. The condo is beautifully decorated and clean. Property manager had a welcome basket of tropical fruit and chocolates. Beds are very comfortable as are the bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cutting boards and pots/pans. Having a parking spot was a big plus. Would highly recommend staying here and we certainly want to come back again.

Our stay at Kolea was amazing! The photos don't do this location justice. Hannah was very easy to work with and even gave us early access at last minutes notice when our flight was early. The place was also set up to welcome us for our anniversary with gifts and music waiting for us when we entered! Being able to fully open up the windows to the lanai was great and gave us a nice place to drink our morning coffee. There is easy access to the pool and beach with restaurants and shops just down the road. Next time we come to the Big Island, my first call will be to Hannah for a place to stay!

We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals, but this one was “hands down” the best in terms of location, decor of the condo, cleanliness and value. The Kolea community is beautiful and very well maintained—we especially enjoyed the pool area with it’s views of the beach—comfortable lounge chairs too! The condo itself had everything we needed, we used the grill on the lanai every night and loved being able to open the sliding doors all the way to enjoy the ocean breezes. Check in was very easy, everything we needed was already in the condo. If we’re lucky enough to return to the island in the near future, we’d definitely choose this place!

It was our first travel with our 20month old son, Hannah was great with our check-in process and was extremely responsive for any needs we had. The condo was clean, comfortable, and a luxury to stay in for almost 2wks! My wife was very impressed with the quality of cleaning supplies provided and assortment of cookware. We were a very short walk to the pool area with easy access to the beach at A-bay and an walk to King & Queen Shops areas. Only sad part of the trip was us staying so close to a beautiful golf course, and I didn't have time to play before we left. Looking forward to our next trip and will hopefully be able to book this gem again.

This property was beyond gorgeous! The advertisement was 100% accurate. All of the directions were very self-explanatory & there was a small issue with the pool card but we notified the owner and she promptly replied. I would 1,000% stay at this gorgeous condo again. It’s walking distance to everything you need-including the gorgeous beach! No need to drive all over the island to see turtles when you can walk to the left of Lava Lava Beach Club about 200 yards and there are turtles everywhere!
This condo met and exceeded my expectations! I’m a huge germaphobe and this condo was so clean when we arrived. We left our shoes outside the entire time, as requested by the owner. Thank you for such an easy process & letting us stay at your beautiful place in paradise!

Loved staying in this unit. Comfortable beds and spacious condo. It was walking distance to the beach and very close to the resorts/ lots of good restaurants. Loved having the ability to do laundry and lounge on the private lanai. Our group was adventurous and wanted to see all the sites; this location was ideal for visiting most! About 30 minutes from Kona and 30-60 min from good hiking at the north end of the island. About 2hrs from Volcano Park and Hilo. Our host had lots of good suggestions and laid out all the directions well.

The beach club access is close, where there is a pool, hot tub, and wonderful beach, as well as a really super and homegrown lava Lava Club, with delicious food, fine mai tai and live music right on the beach.
Hannah is a fantastic host. She replies immediately to every email and with perfect suggestions for food and fun.

The property is even more beautiful than shown in the pictures and very clean. The condo is spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our time at the pool and area beaches as well as a day trip to Akaka Falls State Park and Volcanoes National Park. We’d recommend an evening snorkel with the manta rays (book with Hawaiian Coastline Adventures) and our kids had a lot of fun at Dolphin Quest. The luau at the Marriott was enjoyable and plan to drive a good 30 min for some of the better restaurants on the Island. The grocery stores (walking distance and a short drive) had everything we needed and we enjoyed the nearby shops. Lunch at Lava Lava was an easy walk from the beach and a fun atmosphere at lunch. The property was not crowded and was a great experience and much needed vacation. Thank you Hannah.

Great stay! The owner is very responsive and her cleaning crew are top notch. We really appreciated how good the cleanings were (we stayed for 5 weeks). There was everything you need for cooking in the unit and going to the beach (umbrellas, boogie boards, chairs, etc.). Kolea itself is a great spot on the Big Island. Very nice pool and the gated community was kept up so beautifully. Short drive to world famous Hapuna Beach. Two thumbs up!

This is a luxurious, well-kept condo in a setting of a number of small buildings with similar condos, situated on a wonderful little chunk of paradise. A resort-like pool is a short stroll through perfect Kona weather and beautiful landscaping outside your door. From there, another 1-minute walk through interesting terrain [slightly elevated lava path (with a petroglyph!) through an estuary] brings you to a lovely white sand beach in a protected bay, suitable to many water activities. With the aqua water and rustling coco palms, this is your postcard moment! The setting is super relaxing, and all 4 of us were reluctant to leave when the time came, even though we live in our own little paradise on another Hawaiian island.
The owner is a wonderful woman who went out of her way—unbidden—to provide for our needs to ensure our stay was the best. We are not the type of people to pay repeat visits often (instead preferring to explore new venues), but this stay was so amazing that we would absolutely return and can recommend this unit and location without reservation.
More info on the surrounding area: there are numerous, fairly upscale shopping and dining opportunities within a lovely ~10-minute walk. The full gamut of options are available with a roughly 20-minute drive to the south in Kona. The weather in Kona tends to be amazing—dry, clear, warm but with cooling trade winds. The views from the area includes other-worldly terrains with old lava flows in various stages of evolution and reclamation by vegetation. The geology of the island unmistakably speaks to you the moment you cast your eyes outward, where 4 of the 5 volcanoes that built the Big Island are visible from your doorstep. The location of this condo provides a convenient launch point from which to explore the many attractions of the Big Island, but be sure to be back in time for unforgettable sunset!

We had an excellent stay at Hannah's condo. The condo was exactly as advertised. Everything is in excellent condition and high end. We had 2 adults and two 20 year-olds with us. We had ample room.
We loved the location. A very short walk to the bay. Great location for the Marriott luau. Short walk to the Hilton and the Kings/Queens shops. Waikoloa resort is just a short drive to Kona, Hawi and most points on the west side of the Island.
We strongly recommend Hannah's condo and are already making plans on another stay.

This was truly a wonderful VRBO. We have used VRBOs all over the country and this may be the best we have ever stayed in. Only con was not much of a view of the ocean, but that is as described in the listing.

We had a wonderful stay on the Big Island on the Waikoloa condo. The condo is lovely, so well equipped and in perfect condition. It was the perfect place to rest up after a three week trip to Australia and New Zealand. The information about the condo and area suggestions were very helpful. We enjoyed exploring and the Luau. Our only MINOR issues were that it was a bit warm for sleeping (we sleep with windows open in the cold NW Ohio winters) and we had to put the fragrance sticks outside as they were overwhelming. All in all, it was great place to stay and we hope to come back! We had our travel agent add the condo to his list of suggestions for others.

This property, with pool and ocean access so close, was the highlight of our vacation! Hannah provides beach gear and the bay even has some loungers available for folks who don’t want to carry gear out there. Lava Lava is down the beach for a bite too. The restaurants and grocery store are also convenient. Great place, highly recommended!

One of the best equipped Kolea condos we have stayed in. Absolutely loved the bowl of fresh island fruit that greeted us. Appreciated that the kitchen had spices, plastic wrap and foil as well as a good variety of cookware - we were wanting for nothing. Beach gear was well organized and in great condition. Beds and pillows were great. Rooms were nicely furnished. Also very nice was the travertine floor throughout - no carpet!
Lanai mini-refrigerator and grill were in perfect working condition. Although no ocean view, the unit was in a very quiet location and we very much enjoyed the view of the palms from the lanai. Very comfortable.
Also, nice big screen TV for watching movies and a great bluetooth Bose sound system for streaming music from our devices. There was a limited selection of older DVDs, so only improvement in this area would be if there were an option to stream movies on the TV from our streaming accounts or devices. Will definitely be back!

We loved staying in 16f at Kolea. It is well cared for and has everything you could possibly need for a home in Hawaii, including beautiful furnishings, kitchen necessities and beach gear. We were also welcomed with fresh pineapple, papaya and cookies from the island. And on top of it all, Hannah was extremely helpful and provided us with well organized information for our arrival and departure. Not to mention, there is a book located in the condo as a back up which provides you with everything you need to know about the home and some tips on where to go on the island for food and fun activities. Everything is provided for all the little extras you need but don't think about. The location is the best. Do not hesitate to stay here, you will not be disappointed. I will say our condo in Kauai was nice but our experience with Hannah and the exceptional accommodation have forever spoiled us😁

We were very happy with our stay in Hannah's home in Kolea. She thought of everything to make our stay fantastic... lots of little things, like having Saran Wrap and garbage bags available, so we didn't have to run out and buy them. It was the most comprehensively stocked condo that we have ever stayed in.... on Maui or the Big Island. It was also a pleasure to have lots of beach equipment to use!

Just wanted to let you know we had a great stay at Kolea 16F
We have stayed at several places at Kolea because we love both the Big Island and the accommodations/beach club and pool at Kolea itself. We also love the proximity to the Queens Marketplace for day to day groceries.
We would like to commend you on how well appointed and stocked your unit is. As stated before, we have stayed at Kolea several times and it was obvious to us you take great pride in your home and you are trying to go over and above in servicing your customers. For example, this is the first time we have seen the fridge on the lanai functional and all of the equipment needed to take full advantage of the grill (smoker, rotisserie and tools). The kitchen was as well stocked as we have ever seen, including the routine spices, staples and oils for cooking.
We plan on coming to Kolea in 2017 and we will certainly contact you when we know our schedule
