New! Luxury 2BR, 2 BA ground floor villa with sophisticated tropical décor and direct beach access!

Kolea, located just 30 minutes north of Kona-Kailua at Waikoloa Beach Resort between the Hilton Waikoloa Hotel and the Marriott Waikoloa Beach Hotel, is the most luxurious condo community on the Big Island -- and the only development with direct beach access.

The condo is just a two minute walk to Anaeho'omalu Bay, where water sports await you: snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, kite boarding, glass bottom boat tours, sunset cruises, and of course swimming! A-Bay is a great beach for family fun, with warm sand and gentle waves in a sheltered location that has its own volley ball court and work out equipment for the energetic. For those seeking relaxation, watch a sea turtle take a nap in the sand as the sun sets.

The infinity pool, children's pool with sandy beach and waterfall, and lava hot tub tub are all you need to relax. Walk to Queens Shops for pizza and ice cream or to Kings shops for a latte!

More adventurous? Want to ride the waves? Take a short 10 minute drive up the road to Hapuna Beach State Park and enjoy the best beach on the island. Boogie boards, beach chairs and coolers are provided! All you need is sun screen!

Got a little more time? Take the gang on a drive around the island! Or experience the true diversity of this place -- which in one day may take you to as many distinct climates as you'd experience in a dozen countries! Drive 'upcountry' 30 minutes to Waimea and go horseback riding at Parker Ranch -- 230,000 acres of amazing open space! Then cut over Highway 250 on the north end for Hawi's laid back old Hawaii small town feel and meander through artist studios in search of home-made ice cream, Kona coffee, and shaved ice. Another day, head east to see Hilo's awesome Akaka Falls, rainforest, and botanical gardens! Go stargazing on Mauna Kea -- nearly 14,000 feet above sea level (and the tallest mountain in the world, if you measure from the ocean floor!)

Have an extra day or two? You can not miss the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! If you can swing it, stay a night down at the Volcano House Lodge overlooking the crater! The place is so awesome that you really cannot cover it in a day if you want to go for hikes in the park. Stop at one of the black sand beaches on the way home. There is even a hidden green sand beach if you are really adventurous!

Our villa is just a five minute walk to fine dining (Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Steak, Seafood, Pizza, Noodles, etc.) and a gourmet market that makes great lunches for day trips. The King's Shops and the Queen's Shops each have free entertainment and family activities, such as ukulele contests and hula lesson.

Want bikes? Just ask us. How about golf clubs? We can help! Bike trails and golf courses surround you at Kolea!.

The unit was amazing! Clean, spacious and well-appointed. Robert is an outstanding host; directions/instructions were perfect. Unit was very quiet, which was perfect after a busy day and luau at the next-door Marriott. You will want for nothing at this condo! Beach/Pool items, grill on private lanai and decor all made our stay relaxing. Will definitely be back for a longer stay!

This was our first trip to the big island and this turned out to be a fantastic place to spend the week. The condo was very upscale and had everything anyone could possibly need. The kitchen was very well equipped and the unit had tons of beach chairs, snorkels and boogie boards. It was within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in Waikoloa as well as a really nice beach. We will surely rent this unit again in the future.

We had a blast here. The condo has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We've stayed at other condos in the Waikoloa Beach Resort but this was our first time at Kolea and it did not disappoint. Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed the beach and pool area close to the property. Condo was clean and comfortable.

Everything was great. Only thing that was disappointing was that the ice maker was broken and the location of this condo was tucked in the back of the property so there wasn’t light and anything to look at. Beds were comfortable and the owner was very responsive. Love Kolea because of the grounds, pool, beach, and walking distance to shops etc!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything is super clean and comfortable and the walking proximity to the beach is excellent. We especially enjoyed the board games in the unit and cooking on the grill. The pool is really beautiful but does get pretty busy in the afternoons/evenings. Overall a great rental and we will stay here again.

This property fits our needs perfectly. We love the location, condo development, & condo layout. I do think it’s time for a condo refresh though. The decor, bedding, lights, small appliances & carpet could use an update. I would get rid of the carpet completely as it has to be difficult keeping clean. The condo wasn’t as clean as I would’ve preferred. A deep/detailed cleaning at some point would be ideal. Again, we have enjoyed many aspects of this property twice. Robert has been a gracious, well communicating host both times.

The rental process was straight forward. Check in was exactly as described. The condo was clean and well appointed. The extra supplies in the condo and in the storage unit were exceptional! Snorkels, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, bikes, helmets, etc. It offered everything we needed to make the most of our time and it’s close to the shopping areas. I’ll definitely recommend it to others and will happily stay there again when I return.

The place was perfect for our family. It allowed us the space we needed for the kids to have down time. The pool and beach were super easy to get to and really nice and the unit itself was clean and beautifully appointed. The Lani was also a favorite for my husband and I.

Robert’s condo was very nice. We’d definitely return! Just a tiny little “bump” checking in with no key, but Robert provided a very responsive emergency contact and everything worked out very quickly. Thank you for our nice visit.

We had a wonderful family vacation staying in this unit. It was well equipped inside and we appreciated all the beach accessories (ie four good quality beach chairs, four boogie boards, two beach umbrellas, etc). We hope to stay here again someday!

Just returned after one week at this property in Waikoloa Beach. We enjoyed walking to A-Bay to enjoy the beach, drove to some great hikes, shopped at Kings and Queens Markets and ate at a lot of close restaurants. This is the perfect spot from which to explore the Big Island!

This was a great place to stay. The owner was very welcoming and emailed all we need to check-in. Most importantly, the beds were very comfortable. This was a high end place to stay.

Loved this property, kitchen well stocked and the unit was very well appointed and comfortable. Not to be overlooked if you are wanting a nice quite location. However the second bedroom is set up for children, not ovious from the photo.. The beds are regular twins, not XL, and if they could be put together it would still be way too short for a tall couple. It didn't make for a good nights sleep. Unfortunately the pool went under repair, and we found out it was scheduled but not communicated well to the property owner/magager, which was very important for us. They made up for it with another property day pass, for which we were very grateful . Danielle the property manager was fantastic to work with to any needs. . We would love to come back to this property if it just us, but wouldn't consider if another adult couple was traveling with us, unless the 2nd bedroom bed situation was better suited for adults.

Our stay here well exceeded our expectations. The unit was very nice inside and had everything we needed to feel at home. The beautiful beach and pool were well within walking distance and nearby Queens Market offered all of the food and shopping options we needed. There is a comforting feeling when you’re on vacation and have all of the same amenities as you do at home like a full kitchen and washer/dryer while still being very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Highly, highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at kolea 16G. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! We’re very thankful for Robert being such a great host especially since we booked last minute. We didn’t have any problems with the unit but he was available when we had a question or two. Even the neighbor next door was pleasant! We look forward to staying here again in the near future. 5/5 for us! Thank you again!

October 2017
The condo was as advertised plus more. Robert made the stay very nice with all the little details that aren't expect but make a 2 week rental much nicer. Kolea is a beautiful property and with direct access to the beach and just a short walk to grocery, shopping and high quality restaurants we had a wonderful time. Kolea is the only complex, in Wiakoloa, that offers this unique location. I contact Robert several times, via email, and he was very prompt to respond. As I said in the title this was the best HomeAway experience that we have had. Plan to return next year. Thank you Robert, your a great host!

We truly enjoyed our visit to Hawaii. Renting a condo through VRBO was easy and the condo we stayed at was very nice. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the beaches. The condo was well appointed. We could not have had a better place to stay.

This condo is very spacious and clean. It has a lot of amenities including boogie boards, coolers, towels to take to the beach and ice packs... little things that make the stay easier. Both the pool and the beach are a short walk away. The area is secured by a coded gate entry and very well lit. I always felt very safe here.

Thank you again, Robert! We enjoyed every moment of our stay right down to all the close amenities, beautiful beaches including the one a short walk away and the beach club. We will be recommending you to family and friends. Mahalo Teresa

This property is exactly as advertised. Well appointed, clean, private, ground-level with patio surrounded by garden. Kolea beach club is very nice and easy to get to. So is the A'bay beach, including access by car to more easily bring beach chairs and coolers. Bikes, boogie boards, snorkels and flippers, this unit has alot of amenities. There are books to read. Board games. Very nice kitchen and Viking grill to prepare meals, which is a nice option to have vice eating out for every meal. We were traveling with Grandparents, so, the ease of access to the car for moving about Waikoloa was a huge plus. The car port is well-lit and very convenient to the condo, literally 20 steps from car to front-door. Finally, I found the perk of being able to reference the owners membership to play golf to be one of the best parts. The Kings and Beach courses, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Rees Jones Jr., respectively, are great venues. Challenging golf in a beautiful setting, at an exceptionally reasonable greens fee of $50, just cannot be beat. Plus, the breakfast at the Alan Hess (chef) golf grill room is a great value (whether you are golfing or not) and scrumptiously made to order (that is, not a buffet). This unit at Kolea is hard to beat in terms of combining value, easy access to a very nice pool or the ocean beach, and high end golf and accommodations. Oh, and the happy hour at the Lava Lava beach club is an event, had a beautiful ocean-side setting, and should not be missed. Owner ensures that any and all issues are appropriately and timely addressed, and was very communicative. I will look for his property again in the future.

We had a great stay! Unit was lovely, spacious and well-appointed. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the convenience of nearby shops and food options. Was nice having access to the beach toys for our 4-year-old so we didn't have to pack any from home. We love the Kolea!

April 2017
We stayed at the Kolea property in March 2017 for 2 1/2 weeks and didn't want to leave. While the weather was unbelievable, sunny and 88 degs every day, the place was just as nice. This would be a realtor's dream to sell..........location, location, location. After a 5 minute walk down to the pool area, one simply opens the gate and 50 yards later you are standing on"A" beach. For those of us who enjoy a cold beverage, just a short walk along the beach takes you to the Lava Lava club where you can sit overlooking the beach during happy hour and watch the whales jump and the sun set. Another added bonus for us golfers is that the owner is a member at the two local golf courses. Great courses and as a guest of Kolea , you can play for $55. Enough , I can't take it any more as I watch it pouring rain in Vancouver, BC. We will be back!

April 2017
We had an amazing time on the Big Island! The resort is quiet, close to a beautiful beach and you can walk to shops and restaurants. We often book condos for vacations and I have to say that Robert's condo is the best we ever had; everything you need is there! Beach chairs, toys, coolers and the outdoor kitchen is so convenient. The kitchen has everything you need. The pool area is right by the beach and even right during spring break we never had trouble finding chairs for the 4 of us. It was easy to work with Robert and he was so accommodating to us. Will definitely be back, thank you Robert for this amazing time!

January 2017
Our holiday celebration at this lovely condo was wonderful. Truly, it was a 5-Star experience! This was only our second time we've booked a property on the VRBO site, so I was still a bit hesitant. No need for worry though. Robert, the condo owner, was so organized, helpful and responsive. He was easy to work with and had every detail covered. He provided a late check out, recommended many restaurants and activities, and even after our trip, promptly refunded our deposit and tried to help us locate some items we'd misplaced. Exceptional service! The condo itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Stylish, yet comfortable. Lovely gourmet kitchen. Our son caught a 25-lb. mahi mahi on Christmas Day and this condo's kitchen was fully equipped to prepare delightful meals. We took advantage of the fabulous Viking grill on the private lanai as well. In addition, we loved the Kolea Beach Club's infinity pool setting which gave us easy access to the beautiful Anaehoomalu Bay Beach. Snorkeling, turtle and whale watching, stunning sunsets...all only minutes away from the condo. We enjoyed every minute...and hope to return to take another crack at the condo's 1000-piece seascape puzzle. So fun for our entire family...we just needed one more day to finish! Thank you, Robert. We had a 5-Star time!

June 2016
We stayed with our two teenagers in Kolea condo 16G for 5 days, and wish we had allowed another week. The condo is as advertised: luxurious, with just about all the amenities of home, and a fantastic grill on the ground floor patio. The Kolea complex is peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful pool and hot tub at the private beach club. Through the beach club one can directly access historic Hawaiian fish ponds and the northern end of A-bay, which usually has sea turtles and residence. A walk south along the beach will take you past the Marriott and Hilton resorts, with associated amenities and clubs. The far south end of A-Bay has decent snorkeling and one can hike across the lava field to some beautiful fresh water pools adjacent the beach. The weather in the Kohala resort area was perfect even when it was raining or Voggy in other areas of the island. We made a long day trip to the waterfalls and volcanoes on the Hilo side of the island, and caught the stars on Mauna Kea on our way back. Mauna Kea beach, a short drive to the north of the condo was also a highlight of our visit. Thank you, Robert & crew for making our stay so comfortable. We hope to be back soon, and would definitely recommend this condominium to family and friends.

We would like to go back and have the same condo again. Whether it's beach, swimming pool, exercise equipment, shopping, restaurants, sightseeing... Everything is conveniently close by and upper class. My husband and his brother love to spend time at the lanai where birds come in-and-out in the nice manicure landscape when we are home at the condo. The kitchen is very well stocked with all high end cookware and very nice open design which made my brother in law commented he would like to renovate his kitchen... Bedrooms are really comfortable with nice tropical furniture and TVs, which made a relax and fulfill feeling after a day of adventure.

First: Robert was flexible and responsive to every message I sent him. The property is located near the front gate so it's easy to walk to the shops and Lava Lave Beach Club, but it's not too far from the pool, short and pleasant walk. The Condo itself is decorated nicely, has lots of useful kitchen supplies like garbage bags, food storage containers, pots, pans, etc. Most everything you need for a long stay if you are cooking there. The garage storage unit is well stocked, 4 boogie boards when we were there, multiple buckets and shovels for sand castles, some basic snorkel gear that has seen better days but works all the same, really nice Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella. There are 15 pound dumb bells if you need to get a little work out in. We had a couple of issues, first was internet and Robert and the local support of Wendee was excellent, they fixed it in a day no problem. We had both propane tanks go out and then the grill needed a burner replacement (just from age, nothing bad) and it was also fixed in a day, very quickly. Anything that was of issue Robert and Wendee jumped on and corrected in a day or less. So their services was top notch, what you would expect for the price you pay. We had friends staying in other units and by far, ours was on the nicer side of the units and little touches like the garbage bags mentioned in the kitchen, extra toilet paper and paper towels, even the bathing soaps which we didn't use, all very well done and lacking in some of our friends condos. Our deposit was refunded timely, just as promised. Overall the stay was great, somehow, Wendee figured out we had friends on the grounds and that they were coming over to eat on the lanai on random nights and delivered more lanai chairs to us without us even having to ask. The pool is also nice, not as big as say a Kings Land at the Hiltons but they are reasonable, unlike the pool at the Halii Kai where they don't let kids have fun in the pool (Halii Kai probably comes up if you look). They also don't have a restaurant at the pool or a happy hour, but what is the next best thing? You can bring whatever you want food or drink of your own, just no glass, totally reasonable and works really well. The beach access right out to A-Bay or to walk over to Lava Lava Beach Club is also very nice. Can't wait to stay again, already planning.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay! The grounds and pool inside the gated Kolea community were beautiful. The condo had a very well stocked kitchen with all necessary appliances, the furnishings were tasteful, clean and well taken care of. Robert even had a garage full of beach gear for us to use: Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys and even a cooler. There were plenty of beach towels too. Loved the location nestled between the Marriott and the Hilton and the short walking distance to both the King's and Queen's shops for groceries, snacks, restaurants and shopping. We saw turtles while snorkelling right off the beach. Easy drive from the condo to beaches and activities. We would definitely rent again!

April 2016
We had a great time at this condo. It was well appointed and spacious. Everything looked as good as the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked. We made good use of the beach equipment (the storage was also well stocked with beach gear). Being on the ground floor was also a plus as it made it convenient. Robert was great to work with. He always responded to our emails and even gave us good advice about things to do on the island.. Check-in and check out was a breeze. Kolea is a very nice upscale community, very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. We also made good use of the wonderful clubhouse and the pools. Definitely recommend this A+ unit..

March 2016
When we first saw all of the pictures for the unit we were skeptical and kept wondering could a place be this nice.... well everything was as nice as advertised and then some. The location is so convenient for so many activities, restaurants, and of course the beach. Kolea is just a lovely , quiet and well maintained community. The condo had everything we needed and Robert has filled the outside storage with all you need for the beach. The grill in the lanai is nicer then what I have at home! You will not be disappointed, so splurge a little and experience a 5 star vacation.

March 2016
We had the chance to stay at Kolea 16G and it was a pleasure. The home was tidy, well stocked. We bought a lot of items but they had travel sized toiletries and detergent for the laundry available so those were nice touches. The home was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and not super crowded and we saw sea turtles at A-Bay. The snorkel gear we didn't use as we brought mostly our own, and would suggest it if you were a hard core snorkeler as the gear has been lovingly well used and some are not in a set anymore. There are plenty of rentals at A-Bay and overall we would definitely go again if we head out to the big island.

February 2016
The condo was gorgeous, well maintained, excellent location to the beach. Good location for attending a conference at the Hilton, easy 10 min walk. Very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked. It even had a rice cooker. Lots of toys, beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear and bikes. We were well set up. Some of the snorkel masks need to be replaced. Robert was incredibly attentive to our needs during the stay. He even went out of his way to connects us with another location for the next leg of our journey. We would certainly stay there again. We loved it.

January 2016
Everything and more that it was promised to be. The condo was glorious and the property beautiful. We were within walking distance to anything we needed or wanted whether it was a lazy stroll on the beach, shopping or one of the best meals we've ever had at the Kamuela Provision Company Restaurant. I was there for a conference and walked to the Hilton every day while my family enjoyed all the condo had to offer. Not only can I recommend this property, but I'll do my best to get it next time I go to the Big Island.

October 2015
Our family had a wonderful time at this condo. It's so nice to have everything taken care of by such a thoughtful management company. There was literally nothing missing during our stay. All of the amenities as well as the second bedroom's beds made this unit our choice. Perhaps we were there at a quiet time but there were only one or two other units in this building that were occupied. Whatever the case may be, we didn't hear a peep and having peace and quiet is really nice on a relaxing vacation. The exercise hale was a great way to start the day and the pool area was immaculate. We came from a stay at the Waldorf Astoria on Maui and it has nothing on the furnishings at this condo. One thing I thought would bother me was the view from the lanai into the back of another building. It wasn't really a detractor as the trees and bushes have grown so instead of looking to a parking area you have a private space with flowering tropical plants. We enjoyed dinner on the lanai one night and it was wonderful. Our group enjoyed the fast wifi, gated grounds, quick walk to the ocean and proximity to the King's and Queen's Shopping centers. I even took my son over to the Hilton to ride their electric trains and see the dolphins. It was a short walk but I remembered how much walking you do when you stay there at that resort. From the parking lot to the room can be a real trek after touring the island all day. It was great to have a covered spot just steps from the front door of the condo. Robert's unit provides exceptional value in the best condos in Waikoloa. Mahalo!
