Expectations were met and I can't think of anything negative to say. Most of our time was spent at the Mauna Kea so many quick driving trips there and back.

It had filthy carpeting, I’m not sure when it was last cleaned, 20 years maybe. The furniture was also filthy, sticky and the arms of the couch were literally frayed off so the stuffing was revealed. The two E-bikes that were promised were now “under maintenance” and unavailable just as the review 2 months earlier had also reported.( why didn’t I listen) The lanai refrigerator was also “under maintenance” and unusable as well as the gas grill which was disgustingly dirty and the brush to clean it was completely shredded into bits. Unusable again. The dishes were in terrible condition. Overall, I’d give this unit and company a hard pass. The cleaning hill was over $450, yet we were instructed to wash all the beach and bath towels before leaving.
When I complained about the E bikes being unavailable and in addition the terrible state of the carpet, couches, lanai grill and refrigerator, I heard crickets. Management was not available or amenable to fixing any of it except they did send someone to fix one sink that wouldn’t drain. Not worth the money, grossly dirty, no thanks!

Our family enjoyed this luxurious property behind Mauna Kea and Hāpuna resorts. We loved the well-stocked large kitchen, the ample space (3 bedrooms with ensuites) and the outdoor showers. The kids (4 and 6) loved the heated pool and hot tub. The location is quiet and peaceful and we loved having supper while watching the sunset in the spacious lanai. We would love to return. The Wai-ula-ula condos are an excellent choice on the Big Island. Everything was fine except the twin beds in the third bedrooom are very uncomfortable and need to be replaced and the dryer needed to be unplugged and plugged a few times to get it to work. Other than that, everything else was very good.

It was a perfect place to stay! There were 5 of us, 3 rooms and 3 baths, all separated from each other giving everyone their space. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The furniture, beds and outdoor chairs were very comfortable. The doors to the lani opened up fully extending the living room, We loved that.
We didn't use the community pool area but toured it and it was very nice. The only disappointment was that the e-bikes were out of commission.
We would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Beautiful and well laid out villa on the grounds of the Westin Hapuna with access available (for additional resort fee) to both Hapuna and Mauna Kea resorts. Located in a quiet neighborhood on the bluffs, nearly every room had an ocean view. Sunsets were spectacular! Comfortably furnished inside and out with large lanai, multi-slide patio doors made for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Villa well stocked with every possible amenity - felt more like a home than a rental. Private pool and hot tub a huge bonus. Owner and concierge were very lovely to deal with and very responsive. A definite return destination.

The villa is terrific. Lovely furniture, clean, well-maintained, well stocked with plates, glasses, pots/pans etc. for cooking. We have stayed in several WUU villas over the years and this one is particularly nice (and because of that we are returning guests of Michelle's).
Michelle is excellent to communicate with before booking and even with questions after booking. She sends you all the info you need in advance and makes arrival smooth and easy. And her on-site manager, Eric, is also terrific and was super quick to respond to the handful of questions we had while at the house.
The beaches at Mauna Kea are fantastic, tennis and golf terrific too.
We will be back for sure!

Just back from a wonderful three week stay. Our villa was perfect for the four of us. Really appreciated the two master bedrooms which provided all the amenities, but also welcomed privacy. Spent the bulk of our time outside by the pool & hot tub with wonderful views of the Pacific. Unit was well stocked with everything required, most especially the kitchen. It was nice to have access to both nearby hotels (albeit a fairly pricy add-on). The management company was super helpful, offering a painless checkin and clear instructions. We very much look forward to a return visit in the near future.

This is our family's second Christmas on the Big Island, staying at Wai-Ula-ula and it just keeps getting better.
The condo was tastefully furnished, extremely clean and well-stocked and came with unblocked ocean views all throughout the wrap-around Lanai. It is one of 4 units in a duplex so you hardly hear the neighbors. If it's peace and quiet you are after (and not a bustling resort), this is it.
Christmas in Hawaii has always been a family tradition but this outstanding location just puts it over the top. My kids enjoyed the convenience / access to not one, but two resorts with pristine white sand beaches (Hapuna and Kauna'oa) where we spent many glorious days enjoying the sun and surf.
The Mauna Kea resort does a wonderful job making Christmas extra magical for the kids. They saw Santa on Christmas Eve riding a jet ski and enjoyed special Keiki activities everyday just for the holidays.
Donna as the host is amazing. She is responsive over emails and texts and is extremely thoughtful. We arrived in the morning and I had previously asked for an early check-in as we were traveling with 2 (tired) kids.
I got a text from her 30 mins after we landed saying the condo is ready for us. This was a good 5 hours prior to the official check-in time. God bless her.

We were in Hilo to celebrate my step-son's college graduation. House was just what we needed and was definitely worth the 25 minute drive outside of Hilo. Location on the ocean and views from the deck that could not be beat. Directions were clear, communication with owner was timely and practical. House was clean and definitely set up for people who cook - kitchen was very well supplied and knives were sharp (sometimes it's the little things that make your day)! We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but we did spend significant time on the deck enjoying sunrise and the ocean views. Highly recommend this house.

This was our first time to the Big Island and we had lots of recommendations from friends to stay in the condos at Wai’lua’lua and did we ever get lucky with this particular unit - it was absolutely perfect. Spotless when we arrived, the condo contained everything you’d need for a wonderful vacation. Beds were comfortable, lovely bathrooms and furnishings, they supplied really everything we needed - the kitchen was well appointed with all the necessities- everything was new and in excellent condition. We loved the view and hanging out on the lanai. We also loved that you could purchase a resort pass and access both the Mauna Kea Resort as well as the Westin Hapuna Beach. It was wonderful and we can’t wait to get back! Donna was great to work with - so happy we found this bit of paradise!

We stayed in the same development last yea, but we liked this house even more because the property manager was flexible and responsive, the house had better ocean views and a useable backyard, and the house was fully stocked with everything a guest could need. All in all, a very enjoyable experience other than the fact that the Westin's family pool was under construction for most of our stay.

The online villa pictures are amazing, but wait until you walk in the door. Our family group of 9 (6 adults & 3 young kids) loved it! The beds were comfortable, and every bedroom has walk-in closets, so you don’t have to live out of a suitcase. We loved sitting on the lanai with views over the golf course (and goats!) and to the ocean beyond.
The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes & glassware. Most daily living supplies are already there, so just buy your food! The washing machine is oversized (soap provided), so there’s no need to overpack. In the garage you’ll find lots of beach essentials.
Sign up for the Resort Amenity Pass—worth it--$165/day total for all. Easy parking and no need for your wallet. We just took phone photos of the receipts we signed. If you check your credit card online, the charges are “bundled” by the day, so it was easier to verify with those receipt photos.
Our family used the amenities--pools, chairs & towels, golf, tennis, spa massages, and the Kid’s Club (the 7-year-old used it twice). It was $75 for a half day with crafts, games, time at the pool and tidepools. There is also a covered games area just behind the pool at the Mauna Kea with pool tables, a putting green, table shuffleboard, and face painting or temporary tattoos every afternoon (no charge).
Rick, the owner, and Lisette, the local manager, were both very helpful. It was the perfect place for the whole family to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary!

This condo was absolutely perfect. The property manager was extremely responsive and made the check in/out process seamless. This location cannot be beat and the house was equipped with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen to make meals every day, along with beach toys for the kids. Very nice stay for our family of four. We requested and were treated to an early check in that allowed us to hit the grocery store on our way from the airport which was helpful.
Only hiccup was checking in the key code did not match our number as indicated on the instructions. A quick text to the property manager resolved this immediately.
Our family enjoyed the stay here with full amenities and privacy with spacious bedrooms, A/C, and the pool/jacuzzi.
Everything was clean and plenty of towels for indoor and outdoor uses. Beds were super comfortable.
We also paid for the privileges at the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Prince which were great to be able to enjoy the resorts each day and retreat to the quiet neighborhood.
