A very lovely house. We had a few issues with the hot tub and the swimming pool heating which seems to have been corrected at the end of the stay. The house were responsive and we really appreciated the late check out.

We stayed in the same development last yea, but we liked this house even more because the property manager was flexible and responsive, the house had better ocean views and a useable backyard, and the house was fully stocked with everything a guest could need. All in all, a very enjoyable experience other than the fact that the Westin's family pool was under construction for most of our stay.

Very nice stay for our family of four. We requested and were treated to an early check in that allowed us to hit the grocery store on our way from the airport which was helpful.
Only hiccup was checking in the key code did not match our number as indicated on the instructions. A quick text to the property manager resolved this immediately.
Our family enjoyed the stay here with full amenities and privacy with spacious bedrooms, A/C, and the pool/jacuzzi.
Everything was clean and plenty of towels for indoor and outdoor uses. Beds were super comfortable.
We also paid for the privileges at the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Prince which were great to be able to enjoy the resorts each day and retreat to the quiet neighborhood.

The best, seriously the best place to stay! The house is absolutely gorgeous and has every amenity you could possibly wish for. Amazing communication with the owners and the manual they left answered most questions - anything else could be answered easily by their on-island contact. The location is prime with beautiful sunset views every night! The unit comes with the option of a club membership at a daily rate and I 100% recommend getting that as it made going to the beach, cocktails, and meals out that much easier.
We do not want to leave but are already discussing a family vacation to return! Hopefully we can stay here again!

We have been coming to this area for awhile now and truly enjoyed what this property offered. The house suited our families with young children and grandparents so well. We took advantage of the passes to the Mauna Kea and Hapuna beaches, which certainly added to the ease and enjoyment of what this beautiful island offers. The property manager was incredibly responsive and we look forward to coming back on our next trip!

The home is magnificent on all levels. Great location, layout and appointments. Spectacular ocean view. Conducive for family conversations, laughter and lasting memories. Simply beautiful. We have been coming to the Mauna Kea for years and recently began renting homes on the property. This house was perfect for our family get together, well situated and well setup. It had everything we needed to cook & dine in as well as go to the beach or enjoy the pool. The managers and owners were very helpful and responsive. We would stay here again.

The property is wonderful and well-appointed. Absolutley relaxing and enjoyable. Access to the resort amenities was great. My young children and elderly parents each found the home to be easy to use and incredibly comfortable. The owners are clearly interested in seeing that their guests feel right at home. The kitchen is well stocked and has all the things you'd need to prepare a quick breakfast or a bountiful dinner. They even had ziploc bags and Tupperware which we used to prepare snacks for the car as we ventured around the island. Certainly hope to return someday as it was such a deeply relaxing stay. There were good instructions for using the spa heater, and tv equipment making it very easy to be absolutely comfortable. The kids loved having boogie boards available to them for the beach, and the cooler was very handy. Wow, setting the bar high.
They also processed the refund of the deposit swiftly. So wonderful. Thank you Karen and Steve for sharing your lovely property with us, you've contributed to some priceless memories for our family.

We stayed at this beautiful villa from June 30th to July 6th 2022. The experience was amazing.
The owners, Steve and Karen, were very responsive to any questions I had before we arrived. I was taking my bike with me from the mainland and they organized with the Housekeeper to let me put it in the Garage before we checked in! This was not the case with the second house we rented, from Jul 6th Jul12th. They let me keep it again in the Garage during the transition period. Massive help!
The house was immaculate with everything you would need. The sunset views are spectacular and the location in the Hapuna /Mauna Kea resort is beautiful, though you will need a car. We paid extra access to the Mauna Kea /Hapuna resort facilities, well worth it.
Added to this the Housekeepers, Tina and her husband, are phenomenal. They are the nicest people I have ever met. Nothing was too big an ask for them. They accomodated my bike requests, gave info on where to buy food and places to visit. Consistently above and beyond service!
Added to this, when we truly needed them they were there for us. The AC unit fan broke one night and they took care of it immediately (along with homeowner) and it was fixed the next day. The level of serivce from them was oustanding. I have never experienced the Aloha Spirit before, until I met Tina and her husband. I am very grateful to have met them!
The only negative thing I can say is that I wish I could have spent my full 12 days at the villa and not have to move to the 2nd house. This is how much my family and I enjoyed it.

This was the nicest property we have rented through VRBO. The owners and property managers were great to work with and very helpful. This has been our third stay at this amazing sanctuary at our favorite Hawaiian island. This time we brought my in-laws to celebrate two big birthdays and a long overdue time to reconnect with three generations. They were blown away with how well appointed the house was and our whole family couldn't get enough of the pool just as they had the last two times.

This was our family’s first vacation on the Big Island of Hawaii. Karen and Steve were awesome. They made the process of renting super easy and answered all of our questions before we even arrived. Their home was spectacular and met all of our needs. It’s like going to a 5 ⭐️hotel but better. It is very luxurious. Tons of room to spread out. A great family room/kitchen to hang out for family time. If you want to prepare your meals, the kitchen has all the high end amenities to do so easily, which we did a lot. The location is gorgeous, with sunsets every night. Your own hot tub and small swimming pool. And close enough to Kona and the Westin and Mauna Kea Resorts to find great restaurants and beaches. We traveled all over the island and it was a great location for that. We bought the Mauna Kea Resort Package which made it super easy to go to the beach, use the resorts chairs, umbrellas and towels. This made it easy being our first time. However, since we did a lot of sightseeing we didn’t use the benefits of the resort package everyday. Karen and Steve’s place is so close to the beaches and they have beach chairs, boogie boards etc. that it would be easy to use the public beaches and have a great time. Bottom line it is all that is advertised to be and the only disappointment will be that your vacation will be way too short. We will be back. Thanks to Karen snd Steve.

Before I mention the property, I want to give a shout out to Kelly the owner. She was always quick (I don't think I ever had to wait more than an hour and usually it was less than five minutes) to reply to my questions and she was very helpful. As for the home, we absolutely loved this property. The rooms are very spacious, the home is exceptionally clean and the amenities are abundant. The kitchen is so well stocked that there were items in there that we don't even have at home. There were plenty of water and beach chairs/toys/towels for our use as well. I've saved the best for last... the view! From sunrise to sunset (and even stargazing at night), we sat on the back porch or dipped in the pool while looking out over the beautiful Pacific as the colors changed from blues to greens to pinks, oranges, yellows, and reds. It is amazing! The only negative about this place is that eventually you have to go home. Thanks for the great stay.

Literally everything about our stay was wonderful. The house was beautiful - the kitchen well stocked, plenty of room for the 5 adults to have their own space (all 3 Bedrooms even had their own bathroom) but to also come back together for meals and hanging out. Loved that we had access to the Hapuna Beach and Mauna Kea resorts as well as the pool and gym at the local community center that was part of the complex. For us, the location was perfect - easy access to many restaurants in Waimea and minutes from the beach, pool and fitness center at the resorts. I can't think of anything I would change. Just lovely.

This was our first stay on the big island and it did not disappoint. We were warmly welcomed to this peaceful sanctuary and the owners made sure that we were well cared for. Waking up to the beautiful ocean views from this home was a joy every morning and the sunsets were just gorgeous. The home is beautifully furnished and well cared for; we truly felt like honored guests with access to the kitchen fully equipped with quality cooking materials, sports equipment (snorkel gear, beach chairs, boogie boards) in the garage, great selection of guidebooks, and the bathrooms supplied with shower supplies etc. One master even has both an indoor and outdoor shower--what an island treat! We ate all of our dinners outside--the huge outdoor table easily accommodated our group of 8 and a couple of friends that were also visiting the island. The entire set of glass doors to the lanai can be pulled back leaving just a screened wall and we were able to enjoy this indoor/outdoor combination living all week. The home has a wonderful layout with a large open plan kitchen/great room area while each of the three bedrooms feel very private and spacious. It is a very comfortable setup for a large group and would be perfect for a couple of families to share or for grandparents to be able to join a family trip.
The location is wonderful--we enjoyed the peace and privacy of having our own home in this quiet gated community while being just a short walk to the hotel beaches of the fabulous Mauna Kea and Hapuna resort hotels. The amenities package that allows access to these is a must! These beaches here are truly special--the snorkeling is wonderful and we were delighted to be able to swim with giant rays both during the day and in the evening. There are many easy day trips from this location and we enjoyed several, but if you just want to relax, you'll feel comfortable just staying at this home. We highly recommend this property and hope to return soon!

We had our children and grandchildren join us in this beautiful home. We all had a wonderful time. Beautiful sunsets and fun dip pool. The two resorts (Hapuna and Mauna Kea) have the best beaches. It was a wonderful Spring Break. Sharie the manager, met us and showed us around, was very pleasant. Karen was quick to respond to our requests and made this a smooth rental. We hope to come back here again next year.

This is our 4th stay at Wai Ula Ula - and the first time we booked this villa. I took my parents and two teenage suns for an amazing 9 days at this property. We barbecued, swam, played golf, went paddle boarding, snorkeling, and all without leaving the property! The house is beautiful, beds are comfortable, the third bedroom had a king size bed, twin and trundle -- and was still spacious even with trundle pulled out. The kitchen had everything we needed and there are two large tables with seating for six both indoors and outside. The hot tub is wonderful to use every night (easy to turn on and heats up quick) and the pool is equally nice. The backyard is enormous and has four large lounge chairs -- two with thick cushions and under cover with fans. We spent mornings drinking coffee and enjoying the view (complete with whales in the distance). The caretaker Sherie was wonderful and answered all of our questions and made our vacation care free. Can not wait to go back!

Before we even arrived, the owners were so helpful in communicating everything we needed to know to have a memorable vacation. Their home is so comfortable and well appointed. The beautiful lanai, with comfy furniture and the pool and hot tub are so inviting. We used the outdoor grill for cooking, the tv’s and sound system are all modern and every room has a television. The kitchen is fit for a chef! Great appliances, everything was new and easy to use! I can’t say enough about our experience here, having the use of the Mauna Lea club, then coming back to relax at your own villa is the perfect way to see The Big Island! We hiked, played golf, went to the ocean, the pool, dined out, dined in, all within a mile! Mahalo Karen!

Four adults and three kids, six, four and ten months. The adults loved the spaciousness, the great lanai and the proximity to the gym/pool club. The girls spend hours in the pool and the baby loved to crawl on the grass.
Although we had the resort guest privilege membership, we made very little use of it, the House was so comfortable !
Strongly recommend the Mauna Kea luau, well worth the money, the kids loved it

What a great place in a super location. My family (2 kids) and I loved the house. It was advertised, and the owner was great to work with. The house had a great pool and hot tub. The kitchen was fully fitted and provided a great option if you wanted to stay in. Access to the Mauna Kea was a must, with a great beach and activities for the kids. Highly recommend.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at your beautiful house! The ocean views and sunsets were spectacular. We felt right at home. The location was perfect...just a 5 minute drive to Mauna Kea, where we enjoyed the beach everyday. Our favorite thing was coming back late afternoon to take a dip in the pool and enjoy the sunset along with a BBQ. We appreciated how the house had everything we needed from a fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms to just an overall comfortable feeling to the house. We keep looking at our pictures pretending we are still there :) We can't wait to come back next summer!!!!

Karen & ( Steve ) are just the nicest people to work with and just wanted to say this was a wonderful trip for me and my daughter and myfamily. All the memories we created while staying at their home will be treasured for a lifetime.
Exceptionally stocked kitchen, with everything you'd ever need to prepare a gourmet meal, homemade waffles or grill on the outdoor grill.
Quiet meals poolside watching the sunsets were some of my favorite memories.
I highly recommend Karen and Steve's home and just wish to extend my sincere thanks for all the very good communication as we made the reservation until Kerrie got me all checked in.
