The reviews are true folks - Donna’s so great. My dad is having his hip replaced next month so the hot tub was a major necessity for our group. I couldn’t get the hot tub to get hot one day and contacted Donna and she worked some voodoo magic and got the folks to come by and check it out on a weekend! This is just one example of above and beyond. Thank you, Donna for a wonderful stay :)

This property is fantastic. The house is perfectly laid out for a family or multiple couples and is so well appointed. The kitchen is amazing to cook in and has everything you need. The views are stunning and the pool is perfectly sized to cool off in on a hot day. We would 100% stay again. Donna, the property manager, is also super easy to deal with and a great communicator.

We just concluded our 10-day stay here, and really: it would be hard to envision a nicer property. The amenities… the views… the location… the condition & cleanliness of the villa… Donna’s helpfulness (smile)… the works! We are already looking forward to a return visit, which we hope will be soon. The house is amazing and the perfect location for a relaxing getaway!
The sunset view, pool and accommodations were perfect for a week in the sun with family. The house was very clean and loaded with essentials to make one feel right at home.
Donna is extremely communicative and was there for every question we had. Could not have asked for a better week!

This amazing property gave us a wonderful holiday. The location was perfect, and the 180 degree view of the ocean was a constant delight. We are a multi-generational group, and the facilities were perfect for the 6 of us. The decor and cleanliness of the entire property is of the highest quality. The house is arranged beautifully to allow lots of interaction and fun times, and yet large enough to insure space and quiet times for everyone. Access to the amenities package for the Mauna Kea and Hapuna resort areas was a huge advantage—you are just a scant few minutes from one of the most fabulous beaches in the world. It could not be more convenient. I also cannot say enough about the high quality of the property management. Donna Brucato was always responsive to the needs of our family and prompt with responses to any inquiries.
The younger members of our group, ages 3 and 11, are already asking when we are coming back. We are all looking forward to it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this villa (myself, husband and 11 year old daughter). It is exactly as described (and then some!) and so clean. The pool! The view! Excellent new sofa, clean carpets. Unfortunately my husband had to work much of the time but it is also a great place for remote work - appreciated the desk space in one of the masters and great wifi. We took advantage of the resort pass and so glad we did. We were at the beach at the Mauna Kea Resort almost every day and is a huge part of the reason we will book here again. Love the low key vibe there and their private beach area is the best.
Any issues (very minor) were quickly addressed by Donna - she responded to any questions we had almost immediately and the check in process was clear and simple. We would definitely stay in this unit again (and hope to next year!).

We stayed with our 2 young kids and in-laws. House was perfect for our group. The two master bedrooms were nice for the two couples and the kids room was more than enough with two queen beds and en suite bathroom.
The kitchen is open and spacious. We enjoyed cooking and eating in most meals. Also the BBQ grill is top of the line and easy to use.
Of course the best part is the indoor-outdoor setup. The pool is not huge, but we actually prefers that as there are other larger pools on property you can utilize. Our small kids loved it and it was very safe.
Sunsets here are great. We also enjoyed watching the golfers play up to the green.
Donna was extremely prompt with anything we needed. There was never any stress in the entire booking, arrival, or departure process. She’s a true pro and was able to promptly answer any questions we had.
We will be staying at this property for years to come.

Long time guests of the Mauna Kea, but have never rented a home on the property. Was very pleased with the ease of booking, the overall condition of the home, it's location and its amenities. We'll be back. Only problems were a BBQ not functioning properly and old window blinds not suitable for a rental. These items were not significant enough to deter from the overall wonderful experience.

Our stay was amazing! The house was just as we expected and the views were incredible, especially the sunsets. We had 8 people in our group and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house had everything we needed and having access to the Mauna Kea was great. And Donna was incredible! She helped with our last minute check in and always responded to text messages right away. We had a couple small maintenance issues but they were taken care of immediately. We would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful place! A few of the highlights: incredible sunset view, comfortable beds, heated hot tub, well stocked kitchen from all the essential spices to a frozen pizza by teenage son and his friend loved to find when we arrived late with no food, very private, beach chairs, great communication and easy check in and out process. It was perfect for our group of 6.

All of the other reviews that stated how wonderful this property is are spot on. The location is great, the views are great, the property is very comfortable, open, airy, great view, pool and jacuzzi were wonderful, place very spacious, not sure how many more superlatives i can use. When we walked in, everyone of our group was wowed and amazed and pretty much floored by the place and the view.
Kitchen is superbly equipped (the only thing we couldn't find was a pitcher to make our mojitos in, but i'm sure it was there someplace. Everything (and more) is there for you to cook great meals (we used the bbq outside almost every night), and the seasonings, spices, supplies exceeded what i have seen in any place we have rented before (we have rented at the Terrace at Mauna Lani many times and condos on other islands as well). Place is fully equipped with plates, glasses, silverwear, pots/pans, etc. etc.
Our party, which was myself and my wife, our daughter and a friend of hers and my son and his girlfriend, all loved the place, had plenty of privacy and lots of room for us to get together and eat, sit in pool and jacuzzi.
I frankly really don't want to give this place a great review, since i want to be able to rent it again (and again) in future years and don't want too many others to know about it, but i have to be honest.
And Donna was a great hostess. We never really spoke to her, did everything by email or text, but that wasn't a negative, since she was always available and responsive.
should also mention that access to Mauna Kea and Hapuna hotels was great, only negative was my family spent too much money on food and drinks there. We used the beach at one or the other every day, and i used the fitness center at both. Very convenient and well equipped.
So, over all, with great reluctance, since i hate to share this place, i highly recommend it.
As for restaurants, Merriman's is still the best on the island. go there, you will enjoy.
and there is a great fish market (poke, ahi, mahi mahi, and super fresh caught shrimp once a week or so--call them) very close by, Da Fish House. Plan on getting your fresh fish there. Well worth it.

We enjoyed our stay very much and the property was very nice. It matched the description on VRBO and we enjoyed our stay. I would have liked a safe in the unit and perhaps a golf cart to get to and from the hotel. We found driving the car too cumbersome but overall we had a wonderful time.

The view is incredible. We sat on the patio every morning before we started our day.
The owner stocked the condo with most of the basic needs such as laundry detergent and zip lock bags. We didn't have to think about these items when we grocery shopped.
We enjoyed visiting the resorts for the beach and restaurants.

My entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Villa. Donna was great during the booking process. We had to reschedule once because of COVID and Donna was quick in changing the date. She also suggested a concierge, Nathalie, who delivered our shopping and arrange private chef.
As for the house, the view was incredible. Pictures do not do justice. You have a view of the water, mountains and Maui. The entire house was well stocked and very comfortable. Nobody in my party wanted to leave.
I hope to return The Big Island in the future and would love to stay at this property again.

We loved our time in this villa. You always think the pictures will overstate the actual view, but here I think the actual view of the ocean and surrounding landscape was better. Magical really. I wish I could attach pictures. Home is decorated nicely but nothing personal which was nice. Home is very well maintained with very little wear and tear. Kitchen is well equipped. Pool was super relaxing and just big enough for my family of four. Office area in master was helpful. Neighborhood is quiet.
If you are planning to have two or three people on zoom at the same time you should ask them to upgrade the internet, but it was fine for one person on zoom. Home was very clean. Property manager Donna was excellent to work with.

The experience left nothing to be desired. From the moment we landed on the Big Island our property manager, Donna, was in contact with us and available throughout our stay. Donna was a pleasure to work with! There were ample supplies for our party of 8 including toiletries, towels, cookware, utensils, etc...the list goes on and on! The pictures don't lie! This villa is gorgeous! We added the resort access to our package and utilized the Westin and Mauna Kea beaches many times. The next time we visit the Big Island we will be sure to stay here again.

Wow! This is one of the first feelings you experience when you walk into the house. The house throughout has nice furniture and accessories along with high-end kitchen appliances. The unobstructed view is just amazing with the most spectacular sunsets. The pictures online are accurate but do not do it justice.
You do have to get in the car to get down to the Mauna Kea/Hapuna beaches and hotels. However, we paid the access pass and it was very simple (especially parking) and we can come and go to either resort without a problem.
Donna, the property manager, was organized and super easy to work with. She always responded quickly with any questions we had. She made our stay that much easier.

This is our first experience with VRBO and this property far exceeded our expectations! The bedrooms were massive, the open floor plan living space/kitchen was perfect for entertaining, and the entire house was beautifully decorated with high end furnishings and appliances. Having our own private pool and hot tub in the backyard was the best part. Look forward to staying here again!

Due to the status of Covid, the Checkin process and Communication with the property manager received 4 stars. Our adult family enjoyed our stay at this location which had so much to offer. The home had every gadget in the kitchen a home would normally have. We enjoyed the outside shower, the pool and jacuzzi. The proximity to two resorts was outstanding. We had our privacy and still enjoyed the resorts amenities. I would highly recommend this particular home, and its location in the Big Island. Everyone is looking forward to our return to Hawaii in the future.
