As a large single-level home there are no stairs. The doors opens to the large open concept kitchen, dining and living room to the lanai, pool and beautiful outdoor gardens. The comfortable elegance of this home is sure to delight your entire family. The glass doors at the back of the home can be opened and slide into the walls bringing the ultimate in indoor-outdoor living.
County Law requires alarms on all ground-level sliding doors that lead to pool area, in order to prevent doors from being left open indefinitely.

This single-level 4 bedroom home is fully furnished with 4 Master Suites, each with a private bath ensuite. In the main home the first bedroom features a California King Size bed. The 2nd bedroom also has a California King. The 3rd is equipped with two TwinXL that can be combined as king with gel topper. In addition, there is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
This home is the Hoku B model which is one of only a few at KaMilo that feature a standalone guest cottage (ohana). Detached from the home this suite has a King bed and its own washroom.
The house and the guest cottage all have central AC. There is a large laundry room in the home.
The airy open concept main floor includes kitchen, dining area, great room, and large lanai with outdoor kitchen. The dining arrangements will comfortably accommodate 10 people between the indoor and outdoor tables and an additional 4 at the expansive kitchen island. The home features a family room separate from the living room where there is a 65” TV with video games and a large assortment of movies for relaxing after a long day of fun in the sun! It is perfect for relaxing, playing games, watch the game, or relax with a movie. Each bedroom also has a TV.
The lanai has a private BBQ, outdoor living room, and dining area is a perfect place to enjoy throughout the day. Each lanai is tastefully furnished for your comfort and enjoyment. Our family of three married couples and one 6-yr old grandchild had a fabulous time at this amazing property. The house was clean and comfortable for meals, games, and family time in the pool. The location was perfect to enjoy the beach, tennis and pickleball at the nearby resorts, bike riding and driving to area attractions. We would highly recommend for families or couple trips.

Lots of space, well maintained home and well-stocked kitchen. Outdoor space was wonderful, including pool, hot tub, golf course view, Weber Genesis grill and large dining table. Set up was great for our family, and it was a very short walk to the community pool (including a separate lap pool for adults, outdoor hot tubs, workout center, and large free form pool for all). We appreciated having access to the parking area at the Mauna Lani Beach Club. Any time we had questions, or concerns the property manager responded promptly. Only wish we could have had an earlier check-in as our flight was changed for an early arrival! Would definitely rent this house again for a family vacation to Hawaii and will recommend it to friends who may be planning to go.

BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL! This property was by far the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Well appointed, great view, all around perfect! Plenty of beach towels, beach toys, bicycles, snorkel equipment, beach chairs, access to one of the most spectacular beaches (Mauna Lani Beach Club), the guest house (AMAZING!), the onsite private pool and hot tub-all wonderful! Each bedroom had their own private bath and TV. Lots of space so you didn't feel like you were on top of each other- our group had 7 adults. It was true LUXURY.
From the time I booked the property- the customer service was OUTSTANDING.
There were very minor issues (the instructions on how to turn on the hot tub and garbage/trash locations are in the guest video on the app however, it would need to be property site specific since those instructions didn't apply at this location- I felt bad that I had to reach out several times to the management asking seemingly simple questions).
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property for anyone interested in staying in Kamuela area. Truly a FANTASTIC place.

We contacted management & also spoke with workers 2nd day there & daily after BUT still no jacuzzi heat until Friday, 6 days into our 8 day stay (we were looking forward to the therapeutic effect after golf, etc), every morning large 15 foot high outside water leakage approx 4:20 am that lasted for 1/2 hour & woke us up every am, annoying door alarms to pool (state required), guest toilet was unsteady/rocking & had to be fixed, they need to have clear instructions regarding how to use TVs with multiple remote controls that worked even differently in master bdrm, a dish drying rack would have been appreciated, 1 burner on BBQ not working, 2 of the bikes had flat tires, 1 bike was rubbing on something, shifters were sl off (minor bike maintainance needed), the electronic door locks need to be lit so you can see what #s you are punching in. I include all this because many times the owners are unaware of all the issues & problems the enters encounter thus they can make the needed changes or not.
The house itself was superb, 1 story which our knees appreciated! The Ohana is almost a 2nd master bdrm. A great supply of spices, cooking utensils, knives, pots & pans, dishes, a BBQ, etc but a little light on wine glasses, the welcoming coffee supply was minor (1 day), . Beds were comfortable & clean.
I may sound a little harsh but we stayed here in 2019 with a local owner & everything was excellent which is why we returned. If we had any questions or problems he took care of them immediately. The owners also let us use the 6 passenger electric cart for use around the Mauna Lani resort (it's still in the garage but not for renter use, which is a shame).
We been coming to the islands every year for 30+ years & would enjoy being able to stay here again if these problems can be resolved

We stayed for a week at Christmas - 2 families and 1 grandparent. Plenty of room for everyone. The home is beautiful and well equipped with everything you can need. Tons of pool/beach equipment/bikes/snorkel etc. the beach club is wonderful with a restaurant and bar. The association pool is great - hardly anyone there, bbq grills/fridge/ comfy furniture. The pool at the house is nice but not heated. Hot tub is great for adults and kids. Location is easy to airport/beaches/shopping. Perfect Christmas home! Highly recommend.

The house was very nice along pool at home and community pool and beach!!
We did not like the alarms on the door to the pool. There is no question that safety for children is a priority. However it does not make sense to not be able to have an open indoor/outdoor space and a alarm. There were NO children that could not swim with us. Require the tenant to sign off on those liability’s.
The starter on the grill does not work and needs to be repaired.

This property was everything and more! The rental had everything we needed or forgot. There were TONS of amenities and this house was extremely clean and relaxing and the neighborhood was beautiful. Management was easy to get a hold of and everything was pretty easy to use in the house. We would definitely stay again.

This was our 4th trip to the Big Island and to Mauna Lani. We love staying in KaMilo! We were a bit disappointed with this house though. When we arrived we noticed the backyard area hadn't been cleaned at all. There were kids toys in the grass, and dirty BBQ utensils left on the grill. We also realized that many of the larger bowls and casserole dishes were dirty with food. I would expect to arrive to a clean property. I texted, emailed and finally called the property management company to let them know. We also asked, more than once,, about the light in the pool. We never got an answer as to why it wasn't on. So unfortunately we were not able to use the pool after sunset as it was too dark. A bit disappointing as we would've like to unwind in the back patio after a beach day. We will return to Mauna Lani and KaMilo, but will find a different house for our next trip. Hopefully they'll be more thorough in their future cleanings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paradise Awaits. The home is beautiful, clean, and has everything you could need. The backyard lanai was our favorite place to be, and the best spot to view the sunset each evening. We had trouble initially getting into the home due to a problem with the entry keypad. Also, we were disappointed that the spa was not working. It took a few days for the staff to respond to our problems, but then they did their best to fix the issues.
