Wonderful location and close to every thing you’ll need

I have been coming to Maui every year for about 10 years and staying at Sands of Kahana every time. This is the third unit I have stayed in at Sands of Kahana. Definitely the closest to the ocean and most conveniently located unit. The first floor location makes it convenient to haul luggage, groceries, go to the pool or parking garage as opposed to some of the units located on the higher floors that I have previously stayed in. Great view of the ocean, beach and pool area. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The newly remodeled Captain Jacks located on the premises has amazing food, great drinks and a friendly staff making it convenient for those days you don't want to cook or drive somewhere. The unit stayed cool most of the time throughout the day, but would recommend a separate AC unit in the master as it tends to get hot later in the day/night.

This unit was beautiful and a great location and view in the complex. It had just about everything you need for vacation.The complex was nice but not as lush landscaping as I have experienced in Hawaii. Not sure if that is because in was August. I wish the property allowed their beach chairs on the beach instead on limited area. Pool did not need to be heated in August. Not refreshing at all. Very warm. Service at the pool from the restaurant and bar would have been nice.Food at Captain Jacks was good. Only having one, slow elevator was frustrating. We spend a bit of time waiting for it. Host was great and reaponsive. Seemless check-in and check-out.

Very spacious and clean with en suite bathrooms in each bedroom. Kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, etc. Ocean, beach and sunset view from the primary bedroom and living room. Lanai with beach/ocean/sunset view is only accessible through primary bedroom. Bring your own body wash or extra soap as only a very small bar of soap is provided.

The condominium was well equipped, and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for some of the best snorkeling areas on the west side of the island.

The view is amazing!Plenty of clean towels.Nice to have a washer and dryer in the condo with plenty of laundry detergent provided.Kitchen was well equipped . Our stay at the oceanfront apartment was perfect! The apartment matched the description and pictures in the listing. The breathtaking views from the apartment, proximity to the beach, restaurants and other attractions, amenities like pool etc makes it an excellent choice. They were very thoughtful and had kept beach towels, chairs and umbrellas which were super useful. I would highly recommend this place for families or friends who want to stay in Maui!

This unit is as good as described. Great view from the living room and balcony. Very large unit with comfortable beds. Kitchen also large and fully equipped. Beach and pool just steps away. We absolutely loved our stay at this fabulous condo! The views were just stunning…AMAZING! It had all the little extra touches that made our time here so comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the bathrooms were great too. Our family had such a restful getaway—it was really tough to say goodbye! We can't recommend this place enough!

The condo was extremely clean, fresh, updated and comfortable!! Check in was very easy and the staff are very welcoming. The view was incredible and only being on the 3rd floor was convenient for the stairs. We didn’t always want to wait for the elevator! We stepped outside and went for 4 mile walks in each direction in the mornings, explored the island and returned each day for beach and pool time. The kitchen is fully stocked. We shopped at the Times for groceries daily and had bbq for dinner every night. Bbqing with a cocktail and ocean view is dreamy!! We packed light so having a washing machine and dryer was so great! AC was amazing! We loved it and will return!

We had a wonderful stay at Sands of Kahana. The location is prime with a beautiful view. We saw so much sea life from the lanai including sea turtles, dolphins, and even some rays. Superb location for Sunsets. The grounds are well maintained and clean. We took advantage of the grills and found them in pristine shape. The pool and hot tub on site are a lot of fun and also well maintained. We enjoyed Captain Jack’s restaurant on a few occasions and would highly recommend the Baja Tacos. The beach is easy to access with mellow waves. We enjoyed snorkeling the reef and seeing several types of fish and turtles. There’s a well stocked rental shop located next to the pool where we rented kayaks and stand up paddle boards, and put out right on the beach. Centrally located, we were just minutes from shopping at Kaanapali or snorkeling at Honolua Bay.The condo itself is perfect and exceeded our expectations. Everything is well stocked with anything you could need in the kitchen, laundry, pantry, etc. The beds were all very comfortable and the condo stayed cool with AC. There’s a great closet filled with pool toys, snorkeling gear, chairs, coolers, wagons, board games, first aid kits, flash lights…they have literally thought of everything. Cindy was an amazing host. She went above and beyond to communicate with us throughout our stay. She has thought of everything you could need and we really felt like she cared that we had a great experience. We highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful condo in the perfect location. You can’t beat the view off the lanai - on the water with a great pool, hot tub, beach and restaurant on site. Loved all the food recommendations. If you get a chance, wake up early and drive to Papi’s Ohana for cinnamon rolls. You won’t be disappointed. Mahalo!

Condo is beautiful and spacious, the stockpile of minimal necessities like hand soaps and extra paper towels and toilet paper, along with towels is a bit disappointing, given the overall condition of the condo being new and updated.. just make sure to hit Costco and buy plenty of extra stuff for the condo ahead of time.

We had an amazing time at the apartment I has a beautiful view nice breeze! Very clean I only have a few bad things to say. If they can put Ac will make the rooms more comfortable. And if you are looking to cook this is not the place for you. They don’t have good pans and grill down never work for us. A guy tried to helps us and we couldn’t turn on mane no gas who knows. I will not receive the place if they don’t do the upgrade.

This was one of the few options on the island for a larger group to stay, and it worked great. The kitchen is well stocked, and the closet of beach toys, chairs, and coolers, was very useful. The location is great, and the views are amazing. The additional fees on this stay were higher than I've generally seen, but it worked for our purposes. The negatives were that some of the trimming (curtains, walls, etc) have seen some wear and tear. The other negative was the 2nd main level patio is occupied by pigeons and was not cleaned before our stay. That patio was entirely unusable and covered in bird poo (everywhere). The elevator also had issues twice during our stay, so be prepared to climb stairs occasionally.

I loved waking up to the beautiful blue-green ocean, the sound of the waves, and the cute bird visitors on the lanai. Prior to our arrival we stocked up on food from Costco which gave us the flexibility of enjoining our own home-cooked meals. We made our own smoothies, had breakfast as we wanted. Plenty of cookware, dishes and utensils. One morning we did have breakfast at Captain Jacks which is located near the pool. The food was great!The one issue was tripping on the track of the partition wall. We had to put the throw rug over the track to keep reminding us it was there. Overall, plenty of room to spread out and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would do it again in a heartbeat. Loved it!!Thank you for your hospitality and letting us stay at your place to enjoy the amazing beauty of Maui.

Overall the stay was great - a couple things to note - upstairs never cools off fully so its warm up there in July - even with air running 24/7 and all windows closed. The balcony/patios are great but only one is able to be used as one is full of bird poop (has not been cleaned in a long time) and the other is very warm - nothing to sit on. The main one is great for viewing turtles and the sunset. This place has everything you need. Could use regular beach towels and not Turkish ones - we ended up buying ones as the others do not dry you off. More bath towels would have been great also had to wash them several times to have enough for the week. Cannot use the pool ones other guests are using as this condo is privately owned. Owners were great with communication, beds are comfy, enough pots and pans to cook. Overall a great place to stay (except the upstairs as its hard to sleep in the heat).

Best family vacation ever!!! The location was perfect!!! Between Whaler’s Village and Kapalua - but we loved our little beach here the best of all! Easy access to all kinds of things to do - ziplining, snorkeling, hiking, the crazy drive around the north coast of the west side…did the road to Hana in reverse & highly recommend the Shaka app to give you a gps-tailored guide. The condo was perfect & beds were super comfy! Kept the shades down in the afternoon while we were gone to help the AC keep up…turn off auto & ac fan in high to help more! WiFi signal does not make it to the secondary bedroom, but it actually helped our kids not stay up too late on devices & get good sleep so they were ready for the next day’s adventures - so I secretly loved that it didn’t work in there! We could have easily found a new beach every day to enjoy & played at a lot of them. Loved having boogie boards, noodles, beach chairs, cooler bags & beach toys we could borrow. Plenty of beach towels & extra towels, and pillows which i greatly appreciated! I did a lot of asking around and research prior to booking this condo & chose it for its location (which was 10/10) as well as 8th floor beachfront & sunset views. It exceeded all of our expectations & we didn’t want to leave!!! Grateful to the owners for sharing your slice of paradise with our family, mahalo!

Condo met our needs well with family of 8. Beautifully decorated for sea theme. Loved being able to walk on beach and use pool right below us. Owner stocked condo well with everything we needed (and more) for our stay. Older property outside condo yet staff friendly and helpful. Kids enjoyed the kids pool and putting green. Nice having Captain Jacks on property. Enjoyed great meals and cocktail's several times during our stay. Highly recommend this lovely condo for your visit to Maui.

The view was so beautiful and we loved sitting out on the balcony for sunset. It had the perfect beach spot with calm waters and a nice place to sit in the mornings as the sun came up. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary and baby-moon here and it was so memorable. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends if they were going to Maui.

Lots of room for everyone. Views were good, but no sunrise or sunset view. Only one AC worked, very hot days and uncomfortable nights. The patio was full of birds and poop. The mattresses need to be replaced. Otherwise a good area.

You will not be disappointed in this GEM! The oceanfront views are incredible from your private lanai and large living room window. The bedrooms are so comfortable and very quiet. The kitchen is updated and has everything you could possibly need. Jenny is very sweet and eager to make sure your stay is perfect. Very communicative and easy to reach. The pool and on site restaurant are such an asset for those poolside drinks or lunch/dinner. The turtles were abundant and saw them every morning. Snorkeling and paddle boarding was made very easy with the shop right on the property. So many great memories made in this great condo! Can’t wait to come back!

The condo was a great place to stay. The beach was easily accessible, and was never crowded. Water is beautiful with snorkeling right off the beach. Great thing is you can see sea turtles all day from both the beach and the balcony.The condo was great, had some issues with the air conditioning but that was resolved quickly.

Absolutely stunning view of the coast! Perfect condo for three couples to have their own spaces with own private baths. Beach below the unit was full of turtles you could watch from the balcony or snorkel with below. Loved how there were communal barbecues to grill from below the units, a nice pool, and a delicious restaurant. Would definitely recommend! Family room was a little warm when we arrived since the AC wasn’t on and the blinds were open letting the heat of the afternoon in. Some of the patio decks need to be addressed for cleanliness, clogged downspout / staining on deck, & dead plants, and there could be some adjustments and fine tuning of loose faucets and hardware around the home. TV in the downstairs guest bedroom should be replaced due to having static lines across it. Mostly minor things that didn’t impact enjoyment of our stay but could be addressed by the owner to make it perfect! The location and the view was a 10!
