This place was just marvelous! It felt more spacious than the pictures, and we fell asleep every night to the gentle sound of the ocean waves. We took advantage of the outdoor BBQ station and made a lot of our own food; the kitchen was set up with all the basics we needed, which was helpful. We were VERY grateful to have had such a lovely week in this space. We also enjoyed using the pickleball and tennis courts close by in addition to the wonderful local sushi right down the street. A very special place that we hope we can come back to!

What a great stay! The elevator was down after the storms last month, but everything was perfect otherwise! We would love to stay here again. The wall A/C units (three) and fans for every sleeping location made for a very comfortable stay. Thank you so much!

For what we got this property was a great value! It could use some updating, but had everything we needed.. even had mini splits to cool off the humid air. We enjoyed turtle and whale watching from our patio with beautiful unobstructed views of the ocean. Great snorkeling, right off of our own beach. The owner was very responsive to any questions that we had and very accommodating when we had a late flight on the day that we checked out. The only criticism I have of this property was the elevator being out of service due to a storm front that had moved in before our arrival. This is no fault of the owner… just an unfortunate inconvenience. Mahalo.

The ocean view from the lanai (and living room) was amazing! We spent a lot of time there taking in views of whales, rainbows, and beautiful sunsets. The rest of the condo was very spacious and well-maintained. It was also very convenient to have the beach, pool, and restaurant on-site. When booking, we were a little worried about there being no air conditioning, but it was not a problem at all - the condo remained very comfortable (we were there in late March).

We were very happy with the condo in general. It’s just as pictured, and only steps away from a great beach. The two downsides we encountered were:Neither toilet when we got there. That was rough after a whole day of traveling.I reached out to the maintenance company because we thought the toilets were backed up. They responded quickly, and said there had been some maintenance workers there that day, and maybe they had forgotten to turn the water back on. We were able to turn the valves to get them back on, but had very low flushing pressure all week.The elevator was out of order, and has been for weeks. This condo is on the 8th floor! It’s hard to pack all of that luggage up that many flights, not to mention how many times one leaves an apartment each day. I would recommend checking to see if the elevator is fixed before booking this specific condo.Even with those two issues, we’d absolutely stay in this condo again.

Nice location. The unit could use some updating but otherwise nice. It was very noisy the first night but after that no issues. The storm damaged the elevator so fortunately being on the second floor was a blessing. Pool and beach were fun. Worth a second trip.

It was the best place to stay in Maui. Perfect location for every activities and view. Only one disappointment is the smoke detector was keep on going for few day and it wasn’t fixed . So that was the only negative for our stay.

The view was amazing and the place was so pretty. It has a real cook’s kitchen with absolutely everything you’d ever want. There are nice beach chairs, towels, a cooler, and even sunscreen. So amazingly helpful! The stove top is induction which took us a bit to figure out, but once we did it was so easy and worked great.You can also borrow from the front desk tennis rackets, balls, pickle ball stuff, and putters to use at the onsite amenities. The pool and hot tub are great too!

The iron was missing otherwise everything as listed. Great for the 8 of us. There was plenty of room. The main issue was that the elevator was not working about 40% of the time. Unfortunately, one of those times was when we arrived. Hauling luggage and groceries up 5 flights of stairs was very difficult.

Wonderful stay despite the rainy weather we were unfortunate to arrive in. Grateful to have the pool and hot tub on the days we couldn't swim at the beach. I appreciated a lot of the details in this rental from the inclusive instruction book, to things being well labelled, the organization of the beach items, and the well stocked and organized kitchen with tools and tupperware. Beds were comfortable, sheets were soft. And the view!!

This condo, resort and location is even better then the pictures on the listing. Great view of the beach from your balcony and living room window. Our family enjoyed this location and resort much more then Kaanapali's resorts to the south as they are not as intimate and as close to the beach. The restaurant on site was great along with having a pool and hot tub right next to the ocean. This location was perfect for us and the condo on floor 3 made it easy to have access to the water quickly. John was great, accommodating and easy to work with. It definitely allowed us to make the lasting memories we were wanting.

Our family had a great experience at our stay here. The whole unit was clean and exactly as described in the unit. The view was even prettier in person. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment and hosts had great communication. The kids loved the pools and overall a great location near lots of restaurants and plenty to explore. Would highly recommend and we can’t wait to book our stay here again!

Beach View was great, the place was not totally cleaned and few broken things, Blinds, leaking roof, closet but none were that big of deal. we expected better for the money spent. parking was fine, beach was nice, grounds were clean and nice, well taken care of outside at pool and surrounding area. Was surprised to see that we had to supply garbage bags, laundry soap, dish soap ect. expected that to all be included. maybe I didnt read the fine print. non the less we had a great time and it was a nice place.

The condo was even nicer than expected. The view was amazing from the living room and the lanai. It was spacious and very clean. We were so close to the ocean on the lanai. We enjoyed watching the whales and every morning we could look over the balcony and watch the sea turtles swimming in the ocean below us.Parking was plentiful. Elevators worked great. The beds were very comfortable. Cynthia was a fantastic host and we enjoyed renting from her and we would gladly go back again.

I cannot say enough about this condo! Highly recommend!! First, Sands of Kahana is a excellent resort with nice ocean access, an oceanfront pool & hot tub and onsite bar/restaurant. Second, this condo is outstanding with a wide span view of the ocean to watch the whales, well stocked kitchen for light meal prep, comfortable beds and indoor & outdoor furniture. Plenty of dressers to unpack and live there for the vacation. Various small coolers, beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels for day trips. Stocked with some K cups, sweetner, paper plates, baggies and salt & pepper, so everything needed until you get to the store. Plenty of available parking at the resort even when getting back late. No complaints!!

We had a wonderful stay! Sands of Kahana never disappoints. The views from our balcony were fantastic and we saw lots of spouting whales. The cross-breeze through the condo was terrific, and the available fans weren't even necessary. The owners provided plenty of things to make our stay easier and feel right at home. This condo was in the perfect location, and we felt very comfortable. As four adults, there was plenty of space to be together or have privacy.

This was an add on when we added two daya to our trip and couldn’t rent the week long condo for 2 extra days. What a gorgeous condo with balconies everywhere to watch the whales!! Also a great bar area in the unit. Lots of beach equipment too. Wished we could have had this unit for the whole trip!!

The penthouse was huge and great room for our family of 7. It was right on the ocean. Every moment we could see and hear the ocean from bedrooms, living room and kitchen. It was outstanding. The host allowed us to use brand new beach chairs and ,boogie boards . It was one of the best vacation spots our family has enjoyed. Thank you Cynthia

This unit was lovely. Very, very clean. View is amazing. We saw countless whales and even caught some of them breaching on video. Furniture on balcony was perfect for our needs of relaxing with morning coffee, evening cocktails, and star gazing with a really, really fabulous view. Great access to a beautiful sandy beach. Pool was clean and there was plenty of lounge chairs around it. Unit owners were very responsive. Instructions were clear for entry and stay. Heal Lahaina Beach Yoga was just up the street at airport beach for daily 7:30 low impact yoga. Cost was donation to help Lahaina. Twice while I was doing yoga, whales were very, very close to the shore. Beautiful full on whale tail both times. Unit is a short drive to Whalers Village which has excellent restaurants and shopping. Snorkeling at black rock is excellent with easy entry and lots of sea turtles. You can also jump off a cliff at black rock if you like.While we were here a weather front decided to sit over Maui for a couple of days. The front produced an unusual amount of rain. The property management choose to deactivate the only elevator in our building (building 2) for 3 days. The owners were responsive to our concerns and did right by us, but we were required to walk up and down 7 flights of stairs for 3 days. Just a warning if you have mobility issues.Still a 5 out of 5.

The condo is very spacious and has a partial view.. it’s a short one minute walk to a very warm, hot tub and nice cat pool.. the beach is only in one minute walk away.. the beach area has very nice lounge chairs to view the water. It’s a one minute walk to the bus line.

The unit is spacious and well furnished with outstanding views. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bed was comfortable. Although there is A/C available, we chose to open the windows and slider which created a wonderful cross breeze. Restaurants and stores are close by. Our host was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely choose to stay there again!

Our entire experience with Hawaiian Haven was OUTSTANDING! Every experience from booking the condo to checking out to head back home was truly top notch. The accommodations were exceptional. Every detail, from the interior decor of the condo to the Hawaiian Haven app were done with such intentionality and care - this team really knows how to make your stay extraordinary. Sands of Kahana was also a great location to start your adventures from - you have Kaanapali (shopping, restaurants and Black Rock) just to the south, and Napili just north of you and Captain Jacks is located on the property. Highly recommend Baya Bowls, Olea Coffee and Island Vibes Cafe. For fun and adventure - you have to try Trilogy's Lanai, Molokini and Evening cruises - they take such good care of you! Lastly, we drove our jeep around Haleakala (not for the faint of heart), and coming around the southeast side at sunset was AMAZING! Volcano on our right, ocean on our left and sunset straight ahead - golden hour - I put it up there with seeing Yosemite for the first time. Thank you, Ken & Brooke, for opening your beautiful condo to me and my family so that we might enjoy the beautiful island of Maui from such a beautiful and well-equipped location. Hands down the BEST VIEW!!! We went in Feb which is peak whale season. We saw whales upon whales every day, all day!! We also saw turtles and a seal right on the beach infront of the condo. 24hr check in was perfect, plus so many amenities. There is plenty of snorkeling gear, a long board and floaties, as well as a beach cart. Within walking distance is a coffee shop, convenience store and restaurants! Captain Jacks restaurant is on the property and opens as early as 7am. There is NOTHING we could have wanted more in this property. It’s close driving to many other beaches and excellent snorkeling spots. Just FYI, Maui Electric had a planned 24hr power outage due to high winds (for fire prevention) so be prepared to go to the East side of the island if that happens during your stay. If I could give more stars, I would. Can’t wait to stay with John at Sands Kahana again!!!
