We liked the condo a lot. It’s was clean organized and fully equipped. View is amazing. You can see turtle pop up constantly from the balcony. Cons:We got hit with 75 check in fee by the resort that wasn’t at all mentioned when booking and apparently was communicated after the confirmation which I think is wrong. No internet for the first day and a half. We had a tech in our room for 2 hours trying to fix it which he did eventually. The dryer went out on the last day and we had to air dry our clothes and put them in our suit cases wet for the flight home because they didn’t send anyone out to fix it. The property managers apparently expect us as renters to diagnose everything before they even consider sending a tech out. Second time staying in this resort but the first time renting from VRBO. I’d say the rooms are nicer through this site but the service is better renting direct from the property.

The unit was amazing! Very clean, spectacular view and plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked. We didn’t plan on using the beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards but I’m glad we did. Cynthia communicates very well and was a pleasure we work with. We will definitely be recommending this unit to others!

Beach view is exactly what we wanted! We ate breakfast every morning out on the patio with that gorgeous view! The unit itself was great. We ate at the restaurant Kaptain Jack’s located on the property and had excellent food and service.AC only in the bedroom and we cleaned the outdoor patio glass on the deck so when we sat out there, we could actually see clearly they were disgustingly dirty, which would be really our only complaint.

We had 3 couples staying for the week. The penthouse was the perfect size for us. Each of us had our own room and bath. There were so many additional amenities that were included. Every morning when we had coffee on the balcony there were turtles and one morning we saw a shark and another morning a stingray. Captain Jack's is an added bonus with awesome seafood on the property. The sunsets are absolutely incredible from this location. Cindy was very accommodating when we couldn't figure out the AC but quickly got that programmed correctly. The parking is very convenient next to the elevator as one of our people had hip replacement surgery. The kitchen is WELL stocked with everything imaginable and some. There are plenty of beach toys, chairs, coolers, towels, snorkeling gear and much more available. The view of Lanai and Molokai is an added plus from the balcony and is so beautiful to wake up to. This condo will not disappoint.

The views at this place were fabulous! The pool was great and had an amazing view of the ocean. The beach access was easy and had outdoor showers to wash off the sand. Would definitely come back here again.

Great property with beautiful views, fantastic location, and a great kitchen.However, the unit definitely requires some additional maintenance. We shared all three balconies with many pigeons, and we had some bugs in the kitchen and bathrooms.All in all, a very nice stay, but left a bit to be desired.

The property itself is in a great location with a beautiful view, and the listing was accurate in mentioning there are two portable AC units — one in the living room and one in the second bedroom. These 2 small portable units are just not enough to keep the unit even relatively cool. The sun screens didn’t block the heat effectively, and the main bedroom with the king bed was far too hot to use. My husband and I ended up sleeping in the smaller 'kids room' with the 2 bunk beds & the full-size bed - we closed the door and with the second portable AC running we could sleep ok on the full-size bed. We spent all our nights in that room.Even with both AC units and the 3 fans going, it was still warmer inside than outside. The property appeared clean overall (though we did see one roach crawl out of the toaster on the kitchen counter). The property manager was polite, responsive, and communicated well — this review isn’t a reflection on them at all.If indoor temperature comfort is important to you, I’d recommend considering that carefully before booking this unit. I regret not taking the previous reviews about the heat more seriously. Sadly, we wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it based mainly on the uncomfortable temperature.

Thank you so much for the wonderful accommodations! The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. The view is simply stunning, overlooking the entire ocean. Turtles swam beneath the windows, and the sunsets and sunrises were simply breathtaking! The bed linens and towels were of very high quality, and they were spotlessly clean! The view from the bathroom was unforgettable!

This condo was the most beautiful we have ever stayed at. Incredible views, comfortable furniture, beds and AC! We enjoying the sunsets, turtles swimming and the boats sail by from the cozy lanai. Having a pool and having Captain Jacks on site was perfect for a relaxing day at the beach. We would love to come back to watch the whales one day. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!!

Wonderful view!. Nice resort property with almost everything you could want for your vacation. Condo clean and well stocked kitchen. Found the primary bed very hard for our taste, but just a personal choice. Will definitely consider returning:)

This space is so nice for 2 people! The lanai has such amazing views. We loved that towels, beach lawn chairs and snorkel gear was provided. Ps we didn’t realize there was no AC, but we just opened the doors and windows at night and the breeze was amazing. Fans also included! Wasn’t a problem, but just a note. Access to a fridge was super helpful because wed go to foodland and grab poke and have dinner and breakfast on the balcony. Bed was comfy and water was hot for showering! Baya bowls acai is a great little spot nearby in Lahaina and in Kihei there’s this darling little food truck park we loved with Kraken coffee, Sweet hula acai, and Kihei fish house. They had pizza, shrimp, chicken, ice cream and more there too, but discovered it later into trip! Our only note, is we didn’t “beach” here bc the sandbags used to break waves. Generally drove to another one more north to Kapalua Bay about 5 min away (30 parking to get closer beach access or street parking if you find a spot and a little walk) or over in Paia. Kapalua Bay beach was beautiful and super short drive! The morning we left we saw a rainbow off the lanai, such a treat. We’d def stay here again!! Safe, clean and amazing views from this room!!

This property is perfect for a family or friends group! Spacious, lovely view, great amenities! The unit could benefit from a bit of updating but was comfortable and clean.The property management was responsive to requests for assistance, sending a technician out quickly to address an issue with the AC. There were beach chairs, beach towels, and pool floats provided, which was very nice. There were numerous stand fans available if needed. Overall, this was a great place for our ladies’ trip!

Sands of Kahana was a home run for our 30th Anniversary trip with our family! The condo was immaculate, the host, Cynthia, was responsive and helpful and the property was beautiful. From the turtles to the sunsets, our views from the lanai were breathtaking! The beach felt private and very swimable- we spent hours floating and snorkeling right in front of the condo! Captains Jacks, the onsite restaurant had amazing food and drinks- the steak was a favorite! The property is conveniently located near great restaurants and shops. The condo had all the amenities on hand (great coffee maker, extra bedding, boogie boards and snorkel equipment and beach towels)! Comfy beds, a spacious kitchen and living areas made the condo an easy place to relax and enjoy all that Maui has to offer! We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at the condo! It was clean and in perfect condition. We had a great view overlooking the ocean. Turtles were swimming close to the shore and we even saw two stingrays by shore one day. We will definitely try to get back soon! I have been coming to Maui every year for about 10 years and staying at Sands of Kahana every time. This is the third unit I have stayed in at Sands of Kahana. Definitely the closest to the ocean and most conveniently located unit. The first floor location makes it convenient to haul luggage, groceries, go to the pool or parking garage as opposed to some of the units located on the higher floors that I have previously stayed in. Great view of the ocean, beach and pool area. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The newly remodeled Captain Jacks located on the premises has amazing food, great drinks and a friendly staff making it convenient for those days you don't want to cook or drive somewhere. The unit stayed cool most of the time throughout the day, but would recommend a separate AC unit in the master as it tends to get hot later in the day/night.

This unit was beautiful and a great location and view in the complex. It had just about everything you need for vacation.The complex was nice but not as lush landscaping as I have experienced in Hawaii. Not sure if that is because in was August. I wish the property allowed their beach chairs on the beach instead on limited area. Pool did not need to be heated in August. Not refreshing at all. Very warm. Service at the pool from the restaurant and bar would have been nice.Food at Captain Jacks was good. Only having one, slow elevator was frustrating. We spend a bit of time waiting for it. Host was great and reaponsive. Seemless check-in and check-out.

Very spacious and clean with en suite bathrooms in each bedroom. Kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, etc. Ocean, beach and sunset view from the primary bedroom and living room. Lanai with beach/ocean/sunset view is only accessible through primary bedroom. Bring your own body wash or extra soap as only a very small bar of soap is provided.

Our stay at the oceanfront apartment was perfect! The apartment matched the description and pictures in the listing. The breathtaking views from the apartment, proximity to the beach, restaurants and other attractions, amenities like pool etc makes it an excellent choice. They were very thoughtful and had kept beach towels, chairs and umbrellas which were super useful. I would highly recommend this place for families or friends who want to stay in Maui!

The condo was extremely clean, fresh, updated and comfortable!! Check in was very easy and the staff are very welcoming. The view was incredible and only being on the 3rd floor was convenient for the stairs. We didn’t always want to wait for the elevator! We stepped outside and went for 4 mile walks in each direction in the mornings, explored the island and returned each day for beach and pool time. The kitchen is fully stocked. We shopped at the Times for groceries daily and had bbq for dinner every night. Bbqing with a cocktail and ocean view is dreamy!! We packed light so having a washing machine and dryer was so great! AC was amazing! We loved it and will return!

We had a wonderful stay at Sands of Kahana. The location is prime with a beautiful view. We saw so much sea life from the lanai including sea turtles, dolphins, and even some rays. Superb location for Sunsets. The grounds are well maintained and clean. We took advantage of the grills and found them in pristine shape. The pool and hot tub on site are a lot of fun and also well maintained. We enjoyed Captain Jack’s restaurant on a few occasions and would highly recommend the Baja Tacos. The beach is easy to access with mellow waves. We enjoyed snorkeling the reef and seeing several types of fish and turtles. There’s a well stocked rental shop located next to the pool where we rented kayaks and stand up paddle boards, and put out right on the beach. Centrally located, we were just minutes from shopping at Kaanapali or snorkeling at Honolua Bay.The condo itself is perfect and exceeded our expectations. Everything is well stocked with anything you could need in the kitchen, laundry, pantry, etc. The beds were all very comfortable and the condo stayed cool with AC. There’s a great closet filled with pool toys, snorkeling gear, chairs, coolers, wagons, board games, first aid kits, flash lights…they have literally thought of everything. Cindy was an amazing host. She went above and beyond to communicate with us throughout our stay. She has thought of everything you could need and we really felt like she cared that we had a great experience. We highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful condo in the perfect location. You can’t beat the view off the lanai - on the water with a great pool, hot tub, beach and restaurant on site. Loved all the food recommendations. If you get a chance, wake up early and drive to Papi’s Ohana for cinnamon rolls. You won’t be disappointed. Mahalo!
