I had a wonderful time with my family at this lovely rental. We had a beautiful view and we’re super close to the pool and barbecue area which we enjoyed utilizing. The condo was the perfect size for a family of four and there was literally every possible thing we could need, including equipment to bring to the beach and to pack of picnic, etc. there was even a good amount of leftover sunblock and kitchen condiments from previous guests and we also left a bunch of pantry items that we didn’t end up using so people tend to pay it forward that that have stayed. The only thing I have to complain about is those dang roosters! I’ve stayed in the Kihei area before and didn’t have a problem with being woken up by roosters but I saw many of them just hanging out around the resort and apparently they sit right up on the roof right outside the loft window and every night it would start crowing as early as midnight until the sun came up - that was honestly so infuriating and it ruined my sleep, but thankfully, the kids did not hear it in the downstairs room. Other than my disruption of sleep, it was a great stay, and if I knew it would be quieter (no crowing) I’d come back.

We would definitely stay here again! The unit and the entire complex are spotless. Fully stocked unit includes everything you need: cooler, ice packs, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, pickleball equipment, and a fully stocked kitchen. The condo complex is super relaxed and friendly. The deck is incredible! We loved overlooking the pool and the close proximity to the beach and pickleball courts. Lots of great restaurants nearby. We highly recommend this rental!

I had a wonderful 9 days at Luana Kai. The condo was very clean and welcoming and the lanai was lovely for watching sunsets and having morning coffee. The furnishings are all very comfortable, the unit has split AC in both the bedroom and the living area...a must for me. They provide 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas and 2 boogie boards. There is also a putting green in front of the unit but the unit doesn't provide putters (that I could find.) Very comfortable, hosts were welcoming and I had issues with the TV a few different days and Mario was right there to help solve the issue. Good communication and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Great host, but not so great unit. This is an end unit that is super close to a very busy street and the roar of road noise was constant 24/7. The complex is nice, but this unit shows its age and use. The host was excellent before and during our stay helping to fix the issues we had, I just prefer not to have any issues. The van was handy for getting around Kihei, but we rented other vehicles for driving around the island.

If you’re looking for a place to relax with all of the amenities that you need this is the place. We cooked out every dinner (grilled cleaned daily by staff). The pool and hot tub were very clean. Views were fantastic! Pool kitchen has a fridge, oven and sink. Just a great place for a family vacation!

We spent 7 days at this property in late September / early October 2025 and we had an excellent experience. We enjoyed spending mornings / evenings on the lanai where we could see the ocean with a cool breeze while enjoying some cold beverages The pool is also very nice and was never crowded and we were always able to get a couple of lounge chairs with an umbrella on the days we wanted to just stay in. We also enjoyed the location in Kihei since it was so close to several beaches, excellent restaurants, food trucks, etc.. The property itself was very clean, comfortable, with modern appliances, and excellent decor. Also, the owner is so nice and she sent us all kinds of recommendations of things to do / visit in Maui and made the overall experience so easy. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again if we make it back to Maui.

The only thing I would change is the carpeting on the stairs and loft. It dates the unit. But everything else including the mattress on the king bed were great. Thank you!

The beach is very close—we could definitely walk to the beach within 2 minutes brisk pace. The beach was not as picturesque—or usable—as we desire for a leisure beach day. There was a lot of wood, sharp plants, and dead coral on the beach that made impossible to be bare foot.The outside building and pool area is kept well, landscaping and pool area were wonderful, clean and lush beautiful plants. It had just the right amount of rooster (about 1-3), lots of beautiful geckos, and other small lizards and birds. The check-in was perfection, the initial entry including door code/lock was flawless. The interior fit our party well, however had a few unexpected minor nuances. Mostly attributed to lack of cleanliness in the unit. More on cleanliness: hair on towels and beds. Under couches maybe never cleaned. (lost a flip flop so looked there.) Our feet were black from the floor if we walked without shoes. Shower curtains were gross, drains had lots of exposed hair and some didn’t drain. Lanai was so dirty we didn’t use it.Further positives: The fridge/freezer was spacious and clean, there was plenty of plates/bowls/silverware, ziplock bags, beach towels and things, and the beds were quite comfortable.Additional downfalls: We expected a twin/smaller mattress in the third level of the 3-level bedroom. It is only large enough on the top level for two small bean bags. The only thing to cook on was a skillet and a small pan. The unit was on the top floor, up 3 flights of stairs.

Wonderful space! We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The property was wonderful with a very nice pool and hot tub area. We saw several guests use the grills throughout our stay. It is a very short stroll past the pool, across a small park area, to a very nice beach. Very quiet and peaceful, this was a great location for touring the entire island.

The place is exactly as shown in the pictures. However, please be aware the Air Condition wall unit in the living room can only cool off the living room and the kitchen area. There are only fans in the two bedrooms so both rooms were warm all day and night when we were there for 3 nights in Aug so making it very difficult to sleep. Communication came from multiple hosts and not via VBro messenger like my previous rental in Tampa. Poor, slow and general responses from multiple hosts (Guest contact and Homeowner depending on need). It took more than 24 hours and multiple follow ups to get door access code. When asked about early check-in, the responses was “can't respond until check-in day” after multiple follow-ups. As expected, no one contacted me about early check-in on “check-in” day. However, someone emailed me and even called me if I want to extend by checkout time by 4 hours for additional 50 tax on my last day. I will not rent this place again.

This property anticipates your needs for a trip to HI by providing those extras you need for an island adventure. Umbrella, Snorkeling Gear, Boogie Boards, etc.. We had a slight deviation on our arrival time, and it was handled with ease. When we arrived a day late the facilities person told us about the property, and things to help make our stay more enjoyable. The accommodations are outstanding. It's like being in your home. Not only do you have a great kitchen. The kitchen is also replicated on the pool deck. This facility exceeded expectations. I would choose again.

Great property toward the north end of Kihei. We selected the property as a part of hosting our daughter's wedding in Wailea. Between family and friends on both sides, there were 13 units occupied during the wedding week. Luana Kai is located on the water, the property is well maintained, the individual units are nice and clean, our unit had a nice ocean view, the check-in process was simple and communication with the owners was great. We had a terrific stay. Kihei is also a great central locations to the airport, a short distance to Wailea and a reasonable distance from Kaanapali and/or Kapalua. Our check-in day was the day of the Tsunami. It made the first day memorable. Other than that, everything went great. Thanks to Trisha and the folks at the property for a wonderful stay!

Nice unit. Need a little more attention to detail with some aging furniture but in general a good unit. There was some main water line issues right in front of the neighborhood. It made traffic horrible. Was told my a local that there was flooding earlier in the year so the local authorities are trying to fix something there. My guess this will be resolved over the next 2-3 months but who knows. In general a good value stay. Beach is not the amazing sandy and clear beach you see around the island. The neighborhood HOA doesn’t do a good job of cleaning up the debris near the beach so it’s sad seeing large trash items near the beach.
