We truly enjoyed our stay at Luana Kai. The location is perfect! We were close to everything. We walked the beach down to the humpback whale museum and spent time watching the sea turtles arrive, rest and leave their resting station located nearby. We only had a short drive to restaurants and close enough to the airport that it was not a stressful drive to get there. The condo was clean and it had everything we needed. The owners were prompt with help and very kind and accommodating. We will gladly come back again.

Pullout sofa wasn't comfortable, but they have a nice blow up mattress that my daughter used instead.
Our favorite restaurants were the food trucks, Da Kitchen for loco Moco, Coconuts for fish tacos and Peace, Love and Shave Ice.
Sunsets were amazing on the beach and we used the pickleball courts too. The open park area before the beach was great for my boys to kick around the soccer ball. Overall, a great stay!

Great accommodations, perfect hosts. It's pretty obvious the hosts spent quite a bit of time making everything just right, from the labels on the switches to the beach chairs and umbrellas. The condo staff was obsessive in daily cleanings of the pool and the grills and grounds keeping.

Condo was everything advertised. We mostly used it as a base for sleeping and toured the island most of the days but you could easily hang at the condo as well. The Maui guidebook was indispensable. Highly recommend checking it’s tips and suggestions before venturing out.

This property was exactly as described. Very nice clean accommodations. The large balcony was amazing! Lots of patio furniture to choose from to enjoy the view. The pool was very close and the beach was only a short walk. Tami always responded quickly to answer any questions that I had. I would highly recommend!!

This is a lovely condo that felt homey and comfortable. The owner was terrific about communication. Kihei seemed very crowded at the end of March. That's nothing to do with this fun condo but just something that constricted what we planned to do.

Property is beautiful and so was the condo. Lovely lanai. Tami the host was very responsive. Could walk on the beach but somewhat rocky for swimming, nearest the property. Super fun that public tennis and pickleball courts on beachside of the condo with a nice big grassy park. Couldn't really safely walk to stores from the condo as no continuous sidewalk along South Kihei drive from the condo to the stores. Overall we had a wonderful time! 😊

This beautiful, well-appointed condo is perfectly located to visit anywhere you want to in Maui…or just stay and enjoy the lanai. The pictures on the property listing are exactly what you get. The view from the lanai is beautiful and peaceful. Close to wonderful restaurants coffee shops etc. A real gem. Hosts are very responsive if any issues arise or for suggestions of restaurants or things to do.

Last year we stayed in Maalaea but wanted to try somewhere with easier access to beaches and dining this time—and this condo was just right. I was a little concerned about street noise based on reviews of other condos in Kikei, but the complex is a bit north of Kihei proper and set far enough back from the street that noise isn’t an issue at all. Lots of dining and grocery stores within a 5 minute drive. Condo itself was great—nice kitchen and bathrooms, comfy beds, and I loved reading on the little loveseat on the lanai in the mornings. Having AC was a lifesaver for a decent night’s sleep (not every condo in the complex has it) because the trade winds basically stopped while we there. Beach directly across the park is fabulous for sunset watching (less great for walking or swimming because of the coral remnants) and the beach just a few hundreds meters north looked like it had a fairly sandy bottom. Complex pool was nice with lots of lounge chairs and 5 grills available for use. Would definitely stay here again!

Tami is a very attentive property owner and takes great pride in her condo. Her communication is second to none. She will address any concerns. For example, after letting her know the beach umbrella wasn’t working properly, a new one was delivered next day. The floors were in need of extra cleaning and she was going to address that right away. The condo has all the basic essentials. Beds were comfortable. The lanai has decent views. Only drawback of sitting out there is the A/C inverter pushes hot air out with noise which can’t be helped. If you turn the A/C unit off it will be quiet. There are plenty of beaches to chose from, restaurants nearby along with grocery options. The beach out in front of Luana Kai isn’t a great walking beach. So if you like to step right out and be on the beach strolling along you won’t find that there. It didn’t matter to us. You can’t go wrong staying on this side of the island. Less tourists and a little slower pace. This is a good value for your money. If you’re thinking about booking here you won’t be disappointed.

My sister & I went to celebrate our birthdays last month. The accommodations were as stated. While the deck was very nice it was either too hot or too windy to enjoy it. Mother Nature does what she wants. The only thing I would suggest is to get newer bed pillows. All of them were pretty flat. Other than that we had a great time!

I am originally from the Big Island, but relocated to Washington a few years ago. My family and I have been dying to return to Hawaii and decided to book a trip to Kihei, Maui (because we have never been). I found this condo listing online and booked it.
The communication prior with the owner Tam was easy! She sent over the information with passcode 1 week before visit. She also answered all questions. When we got there, it was an easy check in, just pressing the code in the door! Skip the lines! The condo was beautiful. Its very close to the parking lot, and you only have to go up 1 flight of stairs. The bedrooms are so cute, and plenty of blankets, pillows, etc. The rooms and house were fully A/C'd and kept us cool! The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, bowls, cups, wine glasses, ice trays, salt, pepper, oil, zip locks. There was shampoo, soap, sunscreen. The master bedroom is amazing and the balcony is just A+. We have the view of the pool directly, and can see the beach from our room! The pool is also fun, and my kids were there all day! Its a very quiet, peaceful resort. Not to mention, must eat food places surrounded this condo! You have to eat at Maui fish co food truck which is right down the street. Tamura's also sells fresh poke by the lb, which is right down the street!! Everything is very close to the condo! It can get a little windy at the beach, and the best time to hit it is in the morning. We even got a later check out!! Owner Tam is amazzzzzing, best condo hands down. We will be back! BOOK IT NOW.. It is Local approved : )

My partner and I stayed at this amazing location for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. Tami was very sweet and communicative through the whole stay. My favorite amenities were the kitchen layout, the washer/dryer unit, the balcony view, and the master bedroom. I was very happy that this location was only 6 minutes away from the best shaved ice (Ululani’s)!! Would definitely recommend staying here and we can’t wait to come back and book with Tami again!

The rental was fantastic: great central location, making it fairly easy to drive everywhere we’d need to (to the Lahaina/Kapalua area to the west, down south to the Wailea beaches, fairly close to road to Hana and Haleakala, close to the airport, so we didn’t have to rush the morning of our flight). We didn’t really use the pool at the resort but all looked very nice. The actual rental was clean and very well-stocked with stuff for the beach. The lanai was absolutely lovely to spend time on in the morning for breakfast and in the evenings to wind down. The owner was easy to talk to, providing information very quickly so we felt very prepared before and during our trip. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Luana Kai! It was easy to get to any part of the island. The view from the lanai was lovely…. A sea view with Lanai in the distance and nice view of pool and common area to watch the kids play. AC cooled quickly. Beds were comfy and showers nice. The condo is tastefully appointed. All the beach supplies you need are there. Our favorites were beach activities were snorkeling at Honolulu (leave the chairs at home for this one) and Palauea in Wailea. Throw a few dish and washer pods in your luggage; there are some provided but you will need more than what they have there. Thank you for sharing your condo with us. It was a wonderful stay!

My family of five loved our week in Maui. The condo was clean, well stocked, comfortable, loved the size of the lanai, and location was perfect!
Our days were full of exploring the island, hiking, and visiting multiple beaches. We were out the door early in the morning, but loved returning to the condo at night to grill out and take a relaxing dip in the jacuzzi.
The owner was quick to respond to any questions which was much appreciated! So sad our week had to come to an end.

The condo was maintained well. New appliances, and all kitchen supplies you’ll need, clean and plenty of room. The communication with the owner was great. The location is great if you’re going to be out and about all over the island doing excursions because it’s upper part of Kihei. The property itself is maintained really well very tropical, daily maintenance on the pool and Jacuzzi, the beach however is extremely rocky the waves are pretty rough Nice to take a walk or just sit.
