Our condo faces southeast with an uninhibited view of the mountains, Shipwreck Rock and, of course, the beautiful Pacific Ocean. In the winter months, you can watch whales breach right from our lanai!

The condo is on three levels. The first floor has a half bath, kitchen, dining and living area and of course, our lovely lanai. One of our special features on this floor is a side cut window that allows for a commanding view of the ocean while one sits on the couch. No other unit at the Makahuena has this unique feature! The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances.

On the second floor is the master bedroom with a similar side cut window that allows one to wake up with the ocean in sight. The master bedroom has been upgraded with new furniture and a premium mattress. The master bath has a walk in shower with beautiful glass blocking and tile. Also on this floor is another bedroom with twin beds (which can be pulled together to make 1 Queen) and another full bath with walk in shower.

Our third floor 'loft' has a queen size bed with an expansive window offering unfettered view of the mountains and ocean. Although the 3rd floor is considered a 'loft', it does not fit the mold of traditional lofts. We appreciate the layout especially because the bedrooms are on different floors from the living area. It affords one some privacy and quiet while others may be socializing.

It is a short walk to all the amenities provided by the Grand Hyatt Resort as well as to nearby beaches Brennecke's, Shipwreck, the protected waters of Baby Beach, and the famous Poipu Beach, which was named America's Best Beach by the Travel Channel.

For all of you thrill seekers, our condo is located near some of the best surf breaks in the south shore including PK's, Waiohai(rights and lefts), Left Lefts and Brennecke's Beach, which is a great beach break for boogie boarding and body surfing! Also, make sure to check out the cliff jumpers at Shipwreck's Beach(you can see the cliff from our lanai!).
