Great location overlooking the ocean. We were with 6 adults and the place provided enough space for all. Convenient location as a home base to see the island. The property manager responded to our questions and attended to the fixing of the leaking kitchen tap right away. If we ever come back to the island we would book this place again.

Loved this place. Location was perfect Beach's both directions. The pool and hot tub great for relaxing. Comfortable and beautiful the bedrooms really nice. I would stay there again also I would recommend it. We used the lawn chairs several times. Had a really nice time.

Wonderful condo with great ocean views. Perfect bedding arrangement for our family. Well-stocked kitchen. Plenty of coffee, spices, and cooking oil. Clean pool that we saw maintained every day. There's a fantastic spot to see the sunset on the property that provides great photo ops. Would love to stay again!

Property is very conveniently located to beaches and shopping on the south shore. We loved the ocean views and the condo was a good size and well stocked for our family. Property manager was very communicative and helped us arrange for a late checkout on our departure date. Only real downside was no easy beach access, but that is resolved by a short 5 minute drive to the beautiful Poipu Beach. Overall a great property.

This property was fantastic for our group! Five adults in total: My parents, my brother, my husband and I. This spot is an easy walk along a path to the Hyatt beach or a quick walk or drive down to Poipu beach and Brennecke’s. Lots of good food choices in the area and a beautiful view of the ocean from the property. I absolutely recommend this spot for a family vacation!

The central location of the condo allowed for easy access to different parts of the island. The three bedrooms were comfortable and spacious and access to the pickle ball court was nice. The pool was refreshing and cleaned daily. We had a lovely stay and would definitely book here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay. We we’re Grandparents vacationing with our adult daughter, her husband and toddler. The unit is as described, clean and well stocked with everything you need - with a great view of the ocean and the pool, and in the best area of Poipu. Walk in one direction right on to the Heritage Trail that goes by the Grand Hyatt and onward for a gorgeous hike Or in the other direction a nice walk to Poipu beach. The only caveat is that if stairs are a problem this is not a good choice. Otherwise I highly recommend.

This condo is in a great location to get to the beaches, shopping, and it is centrally located to get to events. It has a nice view of the ocean and had everything that we needed in the kitchen. The third level does get a bit warm but the AC makes it quite comfortable. The facility was clean and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The host was very easy to work with and communicated all that we needed. We had a wonderful stay.

The accommodations were perfect for our group of six. The condo was well stocked with spices and other kitchen items. The view from the balcony is amazing. The property is very clean and easy to get to. Please keep in mind if you have anyone in your party that has a problem climbing stairs there are several stairs to the condo and no elevators. There is no beach at the property but they have a lovely pool and the beach is not far from the condo. We were only at the property for three nights but enjoyed staying and would recommend this property.

Fantastic condo in a great location. We loved being so close to the hiking trail and to the beach. Well equipped with all of the essentials. The ocean view was beautiful and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back.

Lovely, comfortable, very clean. Communication was great, condo was as described. Beds were comfortable, nice space for us to stay with our adult children for 5 days. Helpful to have beach equipment provided (towels, chairs, boogie boards etc). Kitchen was well equipped including knives that actually worked (a frustrating rarity in other rentals) & nice appliances. We appreciated the AC, breakfasts on the lanai, the lovely view. About a 15 minute walk to Poipu beach where there is great snorkeling (try Snorkel Bob's for renting equipment--very helpful & professional & excellent covid precautions). Other beach parks are 20-30 min away & worth exploring. Lovely spot with benches on the condo complex property for watching the sunset (we had a great sunset picnic there). Pool is big & was empty much of the time we were there. We were delighted that quiet hours were well respected & we never heard any neighbors. Hope we can come back again. Definitely recommend this rental.

My family of 6 stayed in this condo when we decided to stay another week in Kauai. My husband and our 4 older (adult-size) children. The location was perfect in Poipu. We had friends at The Hyatt and the coastal trail outside of the condo was wonderful for a 10 min walk back and forth. I also loved the walk to Shipwreck Beach as well. My husband and I sat outside on the balcony every morning drinking coffee and one day even saw dolphins swim by. The amenities were absolutely perfect for our family. The 2 twins in the 3rd bedroom were perfect for us. I loved all of the bathrooms. The kitchen was clean and had necessary supplies. The unit having a washer and dryer was great for us. I also loved the condo offered beach amenities. Thank you Liz for a wonderful experience.

There was plenty of room for me and my family (6 total) and overall the accomodations were nice. However, the master bedroom had the only comfortable bed - the rest were passable for a night or two but were fairly uncomfortable. Also - if you want to park two vehicles let them know in advance or they won't leave two parking passes! The view out the lanai was great.

Everything you need is close by. The condo is well stocked and very clean. Lots of places to eat, swim, relax, golf, hike or shop. We saw sea turtles everyday and a large pod of dolphins another. At Poipu beach mink seals were near by but not bothering anyone. Snorkeling there is great. If you take the road past the grand Hyatt until it ends, there is a short east hike to a cave and secluded beach. Easy hike for kids and adults of all physical stamina. Though only 20 miles, the trip to Hiamea Canyon and falls takes an hour to drive to. The hike is only for those who are prepared for hills and changing weather conditions.

The property was just as it was described! Spacious, clean and well stocked. We had a beautiful ocean view and it was so peaceful listening to the ocean. Our family of 5 adults had a fabulous time. We used the beach chairs, towels, cooler and boogey boards that were provided. It was a quick 8 minute walk to Poipu Beach and around 15 minutes to Shipwreck beach and was centrally located to many activities, shopping and dining. The pool and hot tub was also great. We had a wonderful experience working with the owner Liz and especially Novella the property manager.

The condo was okay - clean and well appointed. It is not well suited to small children or seniors. Too many stairs, beds on 3rd floor were very uncomfortable (floor was more comfortable), and the ice maker made ice but did not dispense.

There are three bedrooms with a bathroom for each bedroom, which is perfect for a large family. The location (2 minute drive to Poipu Beach is great. The view of the ocean is outstanding.

Liz’s condo was so lovely! Comfortable, clean and a great location with 180-degree views of the ocean. Novella with the property management company was incredibly kind, helpful and patient with me when I had questions throughout the week. This is a beautiful condo in a perfect location. Walking distance to beaches that include snorkeling, boogie boarding, surfing, swimming, and turtle watching. From the lanai, we saw whales, dolphins and beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to Brennecke’s, Little Fish, and other great food options. Perfectly situated between the Grand Hyatt and the Sheraton with great beaches, food and bars, and good hiking along the beach.
The condo itself is beautiful and very well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals and accommodate a range of ages and families. The hosts are very engaged and helpful. It was an incredible experience!

We love this area of Poipu so anything would have been wonderful. Kitchen has a nice update but unit is in need of painting and general clean up. Be aware that 3rd bedroom is at the top of steep stairs and the bathroom is marginally useable.

Rental is clean and spacious. We traveled w/ out 3 teens and there was plenty of space. The 3 bathrooms and a/c are a big plus. Rental is a bit out dated and we weren't able to check in before 4pm.
Kitchen has a few basic spices and oil.

Our family has rented many places over the years through VRBO, all over the world. And this place in Poipu ranks near the top. From the responsiveness of the owner and the local manager, to the home’s cleanliness and ease of off-hours check-in, we couldn’t have asked for better. The location was ideal for seeing all parts of the island and getting to some fabulous meals. This is a smaller condo complex, which we liked. Pool was fabulous, and beaches were close. Definite thumbs up from all 5 members of our family.

Photos were very accurate. What we saw is what we got. Beautiful! Quiet and restful. We all loved the amenities. There was everything we needed in the kitchen to make many meals “at home”. The ocean breezes cooled most of the time but using the air conditioner sparingly was greatly appreciated. The three levels gave us a chance to get our exercise and we’re not a drawback. We would most certainly stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in Liz's condo. Both Liz and the property manager, Evelyn, were easy to reach and responsive. The condo itself was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for cooking or a day at the beach. We were a group of two families: 4 adults and 2 children. There was plenty of space for all of us and the a/c throughout was great. The only downside to the a/c is that it vents heat onto the lanai, so we weren't able to sit out there while the a/c was on in any of the rooms. We also would have loved a few more hooks or towel racks to hang wet swimsuits/towels and more lounge seating on the lanai. The unit was within walking distance to Shipwreck Beach and Brennecke's Beach, though it was best to load up the car for day trips to the beach. The views from the condo were amazing and the sunset viewing area at the Makahuena was breathtaking. We can't wait to come back to Kauai and would absolutely stay in this unit again.

The kitchen and bathrooms have been nicely updated and all the furniture was comfortable and well taken care of. The only drawback is that there is only AC on the bottom floor, not on the floors with the bedrooms. Even with fans on, the bedrooms, especially the loft area were very warm. If there could be a cross breeze it would help, but with being a condo windows in each room are on just one wall. We had 6 adults, and I would say the condo is better suited for 4 adults and 2 children. The upstairs loft bathroom has a kid size sink and kid size shower. Condo is in a great location with many places to eat within a 15 minute car ride, and the beach not far away. Beach chairs, boogie boards, and a cooler were there for our use. There is an excellent view of the ocean and sunsets from the balcony.
One interesting/funny note was they provide laundry detergent if you run out, but not extra toilet paper. (2 rolls per bathroom were provided, if you need more you have to buy it.)

This was a great location in the south! Kids loved the pool after a day at poipu beach or checking out other local attractions such as spouting horn, suspension bridge, or glass beach. This condo was comfortable- fans were great. The kitchen amenities made it easy to prepare meals for the family. Loved the view from balcony, even saw whales! We would stay here again.

We loved our stay at this condo. We were a group of three couples, so we all got our own bedroom and bathroom. The condo was well-stocked. We had everything we needed whether we were cooking in the kitchen or spending a day at the beach. The views from the lanai were amazing! We all enjoyed watching the sunsets from out there or seeing whales and dolphins while enjoying our breakfast or morning coffee. Both the owner and property manager were quick to respond to inquiries. I would not hesitate in staying in this unit again or recommending it to my friends and family.

This condo is an excellent property located a 10 minute walk from Brennecke Beach. The accommodations were comfortable with a very nice view of the water. The common areas (kitchen, living room) were spacious and well-furnished. The lower two bedrooms were large and comfortable, while the upstairs bedroom would be suitable for children.

The property was well kept and provided basic kitchen supplies and beach accessories. The drawback was it took a drive to haul things as the beaches weren't quite as close as materials suggested. However, the location couldn't be beat for sunrise and sunset views and drive time to either side of the island.

We loved Liz's condo. The view was great. We cooked dinner a few times in the condo and made use of the BBQ on site. Liz has a couple umbrellas and beach gear which we loved. Had plenty of space for 5 adults - the loft is really a third-story room that doesn't have a door but is still separate from everyone else. Would absolutely stay again!

We really liked to location of this property and it was close to all the great south Kauai beaches and restaurants. The pool area was very nice and it had a great view of the water. It was clean and worked great for our family. I took off a star for the very hot upstairs bedrooms. They did cool down a bit in the middle of the night but were uncomfortably hot when we first went to bed. Air conditioning was available as an option for additional money, but we didn't feel that we wanted to deal with the hassle and cost.

Our stay in this condo at Makahuena was more than amazing. The condo itself seemed to be newly renovated and stocked with everything we needed. We were able to see beautiful sunrises with a short walk on the path behind the condo, and beautiful sunsets right on the property. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai and were able to watch dolphins right from our lanai. This piece of property certainly is paradise! We could not have asked for more. Staying in Poipu seemed to be such a central location for us. We spent many days exploring the island to Waimea canyon and then north to Hanalei. We experienced so many great days, it’s hard to say which day was our favorite; hiking in Koke’e State Park, Na'Poli coastline tour, luau at Smith Family Garden Luau, chocolate tour at Steelgrass Farm, ziplining with Outfitter’s Kauai, Robert’s Hawaii Movie Tour, or swimming and kayaking in Hanalei Bay. It was always great to come back to the condo to cool off in the pool. After staying here, I would never want to stay anywhere else. We hope to be back real soon!
