Enhanced Cleaning Protocol now in effect at this property
As Hawaii reopens for travel, people will be more concerned than ever about the cleanliness of their vacation rentals. Therefore, in light of the Covid 19 pandemic we have introduced through our on site partner, an enhanced cleaning protocol. Cleanliness has always been top of mind for our guests, but it has become more important than ever—which is why our partner has put together higher standards for cleaning.
Our partner sanitizes high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob. They use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination. They provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay. We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION
Our partner now uses an Electrostatic sprayer and a germicidal UV-C light for each unit upon guests departure.
Electrostatic spray disinfection systems turn disinfectant liquid into aerosols and then apply a charge to each droplet so that they are attracted to surfaces through electrostatic forces which are greater than gravity. This eliminates airborne particles that get trapped on surfaces.
Our Germicidal UV-C light helps to efficiently kill airborne virus particles in the air. The disinfection that comes from the UVC light which disrupts the DNA of bacteria and viruses preventing them from building up an immune response to it.

The Hale Kamaole condominium complex is conveniently located on Maui’s Sunshine Coast of southern Kihei directly across from Kamaole State Beach Park III and just half a mile from Wailea, renown for its incredible golf courses. The beach itself is watched during day light hours by lifeguards, which provide an extra layer of comfort for families with children. It is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, tanning, jogging, picnicking, kite flying, and especially enjoying amazing sunsets, and whale watching.
Hale Kamaole is a beautifully landscaped property consisting of spacious one and two bedroom condominiums, which are individually owned. Our two bedroom unit has an additional loft area, which adds living and sleeping space, and can comfortably accommodate 6 people.
Our particular 2-story-unit #336 in Building #4 has a private lanai on the 3rd floor offers a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, overlooking the pool and in the other direction a view of the Haleakalā Mountain.
There are two pools, a covered pavilion, a full size tennis court, and two outdoor barbecue areas to socialize on the property. At sunset you can experience the traditional conch shell ritual being performed.
Only minutes away from Hale Kamaole you will find several Maui activities, such as world class golf courses, fantastic snorkeling and diving sites, abundant shopping locations, as well as fine family dining opportunities. Please find much more detailed information below.
Important Information, Q&A:
Q: How many bedrooms do you have, you list 2 bedrooms and a loft. Please describe the sleeping possibilities.
A: The master bedroom on the upper level is a king bed (upgraded in Oct 2017 from queen). It sleeps at least 2. The lower bedroom has 2 twin beds and sleeps in total 2 adults. The loft has a queen bed and sleeps 2 adults. Further sleeping capacity is described in the next question & answer.
Q: You used to list "sleeps 8", but now it only shows 6.
A: We can still accommodate 8, (6 adults & 2 children) however, the 7th & 8th person will need to share the queen size pull out sofa in the living space. Bedding for sleeper sofa is available. We no longer charge for 2 additional people (7th & 8th) and provide that additional sleeping capacity "AS IS".
Q: Do you have central AC? If not which bedrooms have AC?
A: There is no central AC in any of the 160 units, but both bedrooms do have AC. All rooms have ceiling fans which will provide cooling especially the loft with the queen bed. Electricity is very expensive on the island, we ask you to turn off the AC when out of the bedrooms.
Q: When entering the unit upon check in the heat was unbearable.
A: The condos are hermetically closed after the cleaning and the condo is made ready for the next guest. Please open the windows by turning on the handles so that the glass blades align horizontally. In addition open the lanai door and the entrance door, both have a screen to allow the flow of air.
Q: We will arrive at 10am, can we access the condo early?
A: We can check on a case by case basis, usually we have back-to-back bookings meaning that the previous guest will check out at 11am, the cleaning team starts cleaning at 11am and will need 4 hours to complete due to the large condo space.
Q: Our flight leaves close to midnight, can we check out late?
A: Same as above, if there is no guest checking in on that day, we will contact you on request and discuss possibilities.
Q: Who is our local contact if we need anything
A: We have contracted the local office to represent us on the island. Please feel free to address your questions to them, you will also need to check in with them on the day of arrival or the following day to receive the free parking permits for one or two cars and some useful access codes.
Q: Do we need to buy paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc? Do you provide beach towels? What else is in the condo?
A: The cleaning team will provide supplies for the initial check in. Beach towels are available in the condo. In the Lanai closet you will find some diving and simple surf gear as well as beach chairs and a cool box.
Q: We need to cancel what are the fees.
A: If you cancel more than 60 days prior to arrival date you will get a full refund. If using a domestic US credit card you are likely to get a 100% refund, all fees reversed. If using an international credit card such as a Canadian, we have observed that fees & exchange rate differences will affect the amount of refund. Please check with your foreign credit card company before you cancel.
