Had a great stay in unit 342. The unit is among the best equipped we have ever stayed at in Hale Kamaole. Tons of kitchen and BBQ equipment, and an amazingly well-stocked beach supply closet (Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrellas; boogie boards; snorkel equipment; sand toys for young children). Great views from the lanai as well!Only suggestion for the owners is to look at replacing the mattresses, which are showing signs of sagging.

The beds were extremely comfy and the condo was well-appointed and clean. All appliances were in good condition and the cupboard was well stocked with basic necessities. This is probably the best condo we've had in Maui. The location, of course, is hard to beat -- literally right across the road from Beach III. Note: this is a third floor property BUT there is an elevator if you've got heavy bags

We had a wonderful stay here at Hale Kamole. For a family of four it was perfect. This unit has a great patio to see the ocean and watch the sunset. The location of the condo is the farthest away from the beach (which is not far away) but just something to keep in mind if you have littles. The pool is very close. The property is immaculate and quiet. The bedrooms have AC but the main area does not. The main area can get a little warm, but you get used to it. Overall, a great condo and we enjoyed our stay!

We had a very relaxing stay along with our daughter's family who stayed in a different unit. There were a few minor issues that were dealt with as soon as they were mentioned to the front desk. The office staff were helpful and the grounds are maintained so beautifully. We have stayed here many times and the sunset views from this unit are spectacular.

This condo was very well equipped. There were plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, some beach towels, coolers and some snorkel gear. I wish I had known as I rented beach chairs and cooler from Turo. It's less than a mile to shops and restaurants and right across the street from a nice beach. We walked to meals often. It's less than 4 miles to Ulua Beach which is a nice snorkel beach with turtles. We would stay here again.

Hale Kamaole is an amazing place today. This condo is a great size with open vaulted ceilings. The condo is well equipped with everything you could possibly need, both in the kitchen and on the beach! The grounds at Hale Kamaole are beautiful, as is the view of the ocean. The pools are a great place to lounge and read a book and the barbecues are the social hub of the complex. The location is perfect, with great beaches nearby and shops/restaurants within walking distance.

Being a single mom of young adults/teens starting their own lives, I planned this vacation as what may be our last family trip where all our schedules match up. I’ve stayed in this same complex before with friends, so I had some familiarity already. This unit was perfect for me & my 3 kids (ages 16, 18, & 20). My youngest (son) slept on the roll out couch & actually enjoyed it & didn’t want to swap out. Every bed was comfortable in the place, with plenty of bedding, a/c, pillows, & additional portable fans. The kitchen was well stocked & even had a blender, plenty of pots & pans, etc. There was plenty of pods for us to do laundry & even wash the beach towels at the end of our trip. We also went home with fresh laundered clothes. it’s a roomy place & we didn’t feel cramped. The balcony has a beautiful view of the ocean & palm trees. It’s so close to get to the beach & a quiet little retreat. Truly beautiful in a beautiful place. We had a wonderful family vacation here.

We stayed for a week in a 3rd floor condo. I thought going up and down the stairs would have been a bit much (there is an elevator), but using the stairs was really not a big deal at all plus I got my steps in! I personally sat out on the lanai every morning and watched the palm trees sway and the ocean was lovely! The condo was very well-equipped, and had nice finishes. My only negative was not having air conditioning in the kitchen/living room area. The condo grounds were beautiful and well-kept and the pool was nice and clean. All the staff was friendly and the condo itself was pretty close to most things on that side of the island. My family would definitely stay here again!

Such an easy rental to settle into from the after hour check-in, to the air conditioned bedrooms, and a well stocked unit in 342. It was our first time to the Kihei area and we will return for longer next time. Many beaches to choose from, amazing sunsets, café’s to accommodate everyone’s tastes and Foodland for groceries. Convenience is key when I travel with the family and Kihei checked all the boxes. We made it to Paia Fish Market (Southside) on our last night, and I’m glad I didn’t find it the first night, you must go here. Horhitos food truck’s fish tacos were outstanding. Shave ice and açai bowls from Beach Street Shave Ice!! Best cinnamon buns ever from “Cinnamon Bun Place”. Keawakapu Beach is a hidden gem for a day with beach chairs and a cooler for cold drinks and snacks. Mulligan’s on the Blue for a sunset dinner and drinks. Maui Brewing Company for great food/setting away from the beaches. So much more to discover next visit.

We stayed for a week with 3 adults and 3 kids, and the condo was everything we needed it to be. The condo itself was great. The pool and grounds were great. The location was great with access to the beach, and the rest of the Kihei area.One note about the beach nearest to the condo is that it can get pretty rough in the afternoon/evening, but is much calmer and good for kids in the morning. But that means its great for boogie boarding or body surfing in the afternoon.One thing that was a little weird was that the upstairs mattress was upside down. We weren't sure if that was on purpose or not. It was fine that way, but might have been more comfortable if flipped the other way.

5 star visit! This location is everything. I brought my parents to hawaii, our 2 kids, and us. Totaling 6! The upstairs bathroom was super nice. Both rooms have AC unit. The washer and dryer was nice to have after wet beach days! Lots of extra Lenin and towels. Outside closet has everything you need! Beach toys, snorkling stuff, boogie boards! Great location. You can get to the beach in 5 minutes walk. I recommend and would 100% stay here again. This was actually the nicest and most well equipped property we have ever booked. Thank you for letting us stay.

Nice and quiet but still a quick (1 walk) block to the beach. The Kihei beaches in the area are beautiful and you have easy access to things in Wailea as well. Just south enough of the main busy strip that it's not too crazy with people or traffic.

We really enjoyed this rental. Out on the deck, we had a great view of the property's trees, flowers, and pool. Beyond was the beach and ocean. The condo had 2 amazing King beds and a hideaway bed. There were 2 bathrooms. A nice kitchen with plenty of pots/pans. After a full day of playing, we enjoyed watching a movie in the relaxing living room. I really recommend playing at the beach 3 min. away. Snorkel equipment and chairs are in the deck closet. Also the whale watching tour out of Wailuku and the Maui Ocean center were the best parts of our vacation. For dinner, we enjoyed the great varieties of food/taco trucks.

My family and I rented three condos at Hale Kamaole for a week. We had two third floor units that shared a common entry and one on the first floor directly below which functioned as not only accommodation for the grandparents, but also as a pool house with easy access to the wonderful lawn. It is hard to describe how great this worked out for my two daughters, their husbands and three young kids and us "senior" members of the group. All the units were immaculate. And, while completely satisfactorily furnished, they weren't fancy enough so that we had to worry about normal wear and tear from the kids. Everything we needed and wanted was provided. A welcome surprise was the closet on the lanai, which was full of toys and buckets and other fun swim things for the littles. I gave management 5 stars, but we never saw them as the checkin process was easy and we had no issues to ask them to resolve. We did become friendly with the many staff who were out raking the lawns and patrolling the grounds. They were all very pleasant. Maui is taking Covid seriously and we only went indoors for necessary shopping. Everyone was masked and I saw several people wearing shirts that said, "Mask up for Maui County," a sentiment we heartedly agreed with.The only update I'd suggest would be to strip the tennis courts for Pickleball. We played in the absence of striping - just for fun - and while there, several others came hoping for a Pickleball game. It would require hardly any investment with a big benefit. We will be back.

2nd time at the location but in a different room. Location is perfect, right across from Kam III and walking distance to shops in restaurants. Room 342 was great. Everything you need from beach chairs, laundry, air conditioned bedrooms and a full kitchen. Only issue is there was workers in our room putting in a new water heater and connecting to the solar panels. The workers were great, however, we should have been informed of this work prior to arriving. The renters should not have to absorb the 2 full days of inconvenience without prior notification. We could have changed some plans to limit the impact.

I've stayed at the hale many times because of the excellent location. This unit is one of the better ones. The kitchen and lower bathroom are wonderful - and sitting at the back of the lanai gives you a great view of the ocean. When we were there in april/may 2018, the closet was stocked with 10(!!!) boogie boards and beach chairs - I even got to try my hand at skim boarding thanks to the well stocked closet. The king beds were comfy for both couples, and the A/C units were enough to keep our rooms cool at night. Note to owner: a *very* mild ant problem in the kitchen.

We booked this property due to other family members booking in the same complex. I had planned on staying in Lahaina, and am very happy I was talked into this location. This was our first trip to Maui, and discovered our favourite beach was right across the street. The unit layout was perfect for my family and the pool was close. Our other family stayed in an un-rennovated unit, and we all appreciated the updated amenities in this unit. The beach closet is well stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, sand toys, boogie boards, coolers, and extra patio chairs. We had enough beach chairs to keep some in the car for the duration of our trip to use at other beaches, and still have some for our daily walk to the beach. We enjoyed the view from the lanai during all times of the day but especially in the quiet mornings. We spotted whales one day while enjoying our morning coffee before the kids got up. The entire complex is well maintained and clean overall. We can't wait for our next trip to Maui, I'd definitely stay here again.

From the first contact via email until the last "aloha", my experience was outstanding. The unit was clean, very well equipped, and welcoming. The view from the lanai was splendid. I had only one occasion to ask for help from the staff and that involved a TV remote. Scott immediately answered my call and Robert was on site within 30 minutes. It would be difficult for me to give Hale Kamaole any rating but five stars.

We went to Maui with family, to celebrate Christmas and for our son's wedding. Hale Kamaole was the perfect location for us. Beautiful views, nice and quiet for sleeping and relaxing, close enough to walk to shop or eat out, but it had all the amenities if we wanted to cook and eat in. We had lots of room to entertain family. Parking and getting into the complex was easy. The bonus was having a great beach right across the street, where you could play in the surf, snorkel, see turtles, or go for long walks. We could see whales playing in the ocean right from our lanai. Lawn chairs, snorkels, surf boards, etc. were all provided. Though there was air conditioning, the rooms were set up perfectly to catch the cooling breezes. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back to stay at this location!

I've stayed at the Hale Kamaole before, it's in a great central location of Kihei, with a big grassy park and beach right across the street, shops and restaurants to walk to. The complex has two pools with plenty of BBQ's for everyone. Unit #342 is nicely appointed, more modern/up to date than some of the other units, with excellent wifi as well. This was a great option for a family of four, lots of space for all of us, and we especially appreciated the well-stocked "beach closet" full of chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkle gear & more. We would definitely recommend Unit #342!

It was ok, since we tried to make some changes but they did not accommodate us. Also the place was not clean, and needed upgrading in lots of ways. One side note is there were too many unmanaged kids in the pool area and else where.

We have been to Maui a number of times. We stay in south Kihei or wailea. The location was great, close to some of our favourite restaurants, ie Fred's. we found that the bedrooms were not very clean, the carpets need to be replaced. The king sized bed is like a brick. I do like a firm mattress but not this firm. The pillows needed to be replaced. The bathrooms were great. The kitchen has very poor lighting and isn't very well stocked. The beach chairs and umbrellas all need to be replaced. Would not return to this unit. Still had a very good vacation, how could you not, your in Maui.

A few units were rented by family and friends in order to attend a family destination wedding on Maui in mid-November. We had a perfect time : our unit had been tastefully and comfortably updated with appreciated extra amenities such as beach chairs, picnic hampers, loads of beach towels and that terrific washing machine.The views from the balconies were so marvelous, and the whole experience restful.We hope to return many times.
