The suite has recently been updated. The huge kitchen counter was perfect for the kiddos to have a quick lunch and race back to the beach. We loved the ground unit, and the grassy area in front of the lanai felt like and extension to our area. The fact that the beach was across the street was perfect for everyone. We loved the evening grilling with the neighbours at the amazing communal grilling station.
The unit had all the beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and snorkel gear you could ask for. Everything about this suite was thought out. We can't wait to book for next year!
Gail has a great condo, and working with her was a pleasure.

Gail’s condo couldn’t be in a more perfect location. Feet from the best beaches on Maui. The condo was well stocked with everything you could need for a paradise stay. The ground floor makes it feel like the entire lawn is yours. Gail has the gift of hospitality, great communication and on top of everything. We would love to stay again!

We had a great time staying at Gail's place. It was beautifully decorated, clean and in a great location in Keihi. This was our 4th trip to Maui and probably our most favorite stay. For any questions we had, Gail was quick to respond. Waking up to a beach view could not have been more enchanting. Thank you Gail for making this a memorable family vacation!

Beautiful, super clean condo with everything we could have wanted. It has a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed for us to cook & BBQ. Plus tons of supplies for the beach- masks, snorkels, fins, chairs and coolers. We watched sunset every night at beach across the street- the end to a perfect day. We would definitely stay at this comfortable and stylish condo again! Highly recommend.

Gail, the owner, was so nice and helpful when my husband and I were evacuated due to the Lahaina fires. Her condo is lovely. It was very clean and had everything that we needed since we left Lahaina quickly taking very little with us. I highly recommend this property. It was super clean, remodeled and well appointed.

It pains me to leave this review, but it is what I would hope to hear before traveling to Hawaii and staying at this property. First off the property has been completely updated. It looks beautiful and as pictured. With that being said, there are some things that are left out here from the listing. no code was ever left or communicated to me by Gail for the pool. I had to receive that from a generous neighbor. Also was never explained that I had a check a car in which I only realized after receiving a warning notice. Unfortunately, it seems that these are investment properties with very little thought to the actual people that rent them. The property is gorgeous but unfortunately has a roach problem. I understand roaches are common place in Hawaii but not to the point where they’re crawling on you in your sleep. I communicated this to the owner so she would at least have the opportunity to make corrections. All I received was a phone number and ask for a phone call to explain further. After I did explain further, there was no communication back. I see that there’s two properties owned by this party so I believe this is more or less an investment opportunity not really caring about the occupants in question. Again, I really prefer not to leave a review like that. I try to be proactive and communicate with the owner but that just didn’t seem to be an option again looks are beautiful but heavy roach problem.

The property was just as pictured - in a great location and had everything we needed to be comfortable.
Took off one star as security did not meet our expectations. The patio door was unlocked when we arrived which made us uncomfortable, and then a mix up with the property manager led to another customer entering our property while we were sleeping. This was unfortunate as it put a negative end on an otherwise great stay.

This property is spot on with the listing. Gail was a fantastic host and very responsive, she was also easily accommodating given we had itinerary changes due to airline delays.
What can I say, everything we felt we needed to really make the most of our stay, we already had in the unit. I cooked at least one meal per day, the kitchen was fully stocked with basic herbs/ spices and cookware and had anything I could’ve asked for. Extra pillows, towels and bedding with lots of storage space in the bedroom. The hand steamer for clothes was a really nice surprise, as we had a couple of fancy dinners while there and it made our suitcase wrinkles quickly disappear!
Google account linked to the “Hi Google” smart device was nice for atmosphere music, and smart tvs allowed you to input your own accounts for prime, Netflix, YouTube, etc. The main tv is huge and was great, though we had problems connecting to the bedroom tv due to network latency and it just seemed to be an older tv. Swapping that out with a more modern unit or Apple TV would definitely be an easy investment for a future upgrade, but was not a big deal. The A/c unit in the bedroom worked well, a bit loud but pretty standard. Both doors also had screens, with fans in the living room and bedroom keeping the air circulating nicely. Washer/dryer onsite was great and worked fine.
The patio looked out over the Western volcano in the distance, was steps away from the pool and literally a 1 minute walk to Kamaole park, where dozens of people would gather every night to enjoy the sunset. Close to many local beaches, the outdoor storage area had beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, hard and soft coolers, and other gear. I ended up using most of it, super handy to bring a packed lunch on a days excursion, or bring drinks and ice to the beach. Don’t forget to bring your own shade!
Hale Kamaole is a nice looking neighborhood and parking was never an issue. The unit is on the first floor and only second unit in from the street, so very easy to get in/out of. A handful of restaurants and shops are less than half mile walk up the road for easy access, and only a 5 minute drive into Wailea.
Couldn’t recommend Gail’s place more, the location, amenities and closeness to our own group activities played a big part of our 8 night Maui adventure… which was epic! We would definitely rent here again - 5 stars across the board! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The internet was down when we arrived but Gail was able to get someone to fix it within 1 business day and responded quickly to texts and calls. The condo is also right across from kamaole beach iii with a 2 min walk! Thanks for allowing us to stay at your amazing place in Maui!

Condo was perfect. This unit was super clean, updated, nicely decorated with so many lovely touches to provide a comfortable stay. The view from lanai was unobstructed to beach and the proximity to grassy area for sunsets and beach for snorkeling was perfect. The condo was well equipped with many kitchen, bathroom, outdoor amenties. The bed was very comfortable and even though the unit only had AC in bedroom, the efficient ceiling fan in living room kept room comfortable for us. The grounds were beautifully kept, the pool and BBQ amenities were great and our family enjoyed the use of the pavillion one evening for a group event. Property manager was very helpful and friendly. Owner of unit was friendly and very easy to connect when needed. My husband and I had such a relaxing visit we can't wait to come back again to this oasis in Maui. Mahalo Gail.

Very convenient location if you plan to visit Haleakala National Park, Lahaina, or take the road to Hana.

Property was clean and updated. It was decorated so cute and it was well stocked. Beds were comfortable even the sofa sleeper was comfortable! The location was perfect, one of the only condo complexes in Kihea with no obstructions of the Ocean view! Literally just across the street is a beautiful grassy park and the beach! The use of beach chairs and umbrella, boogie boards and snorkel gear was such a bonus!
I would stay here again and highly recommend this vacation rental:)

Loved staying here! We have stayed in Kihei at Hale Kamaole Co-op many times over the years, this was by far our favorite condo. A little pricier since it’s updated, but updates are super nice and for us was worth it. Lanai closet is stacked with outdoor/beach goodies. The unit was very comfortable, slept great in the big bed. Hopefully it’s available next time we visit the island! 10/10 recommend.

Overall, very much enjoyed our stay at Gail’s place. It was a perfect space for two people. The listing was very accurate to what is stated online. Great location - perfect for day trips exploring all over Maui, as it’s very central. Also right across the road from a great beach park and the complex has a great pool just outside the back door. Kitchen is very well equipped, and we appreciated the cooler provided along with the beach chairs, umbrella and ice packs. Gail was very quick to respond to all questions.
We might have missed it, but it would be good to have some sheets with pertinent info regarding where to find things, where to take the garbage, etc. Also, it wasn’t terrible but not quite up to the cleanness I would expect in my own home - the kitchen and bathroom could use a little extra elbow grease.
Also, I know it’s been mentioned in other reviews and it’s not something that Gail can help, but truthfully we thought the noise upstairs was being exaggerated. We were surprised to find, it was not. We’re early to bed and start our day pretty early so morning noise wasn’t so much of a problem, but if we did want to sleep in, that wouldn’t be possible. And even with earplugs you couldn’t block out the sound of people walking around and up and down the stairs.

Loved staying here! Just a walk across the street to the ocean! Saw sea turtles every day! The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in!!! Our host had everything we could ever need for our stay and then some!

This cozy condo has everything you need! The beach is a short walk across the street, beautiful sunsets right outside your back door (which leads to a large lawn, BBQ and pool). Best snorkeling on the island is in front of the Mana Kai, another short walk from the condo.
Gail was very communicative and responsive - including trying to track us down when we left items behind.

The condo was very clean, pleasant and up to date. Decorated in a tasteful modern style that feels clean and calm, but still has a few touches that remind you that you are in paradise. A very relaxing space and all appliances functioned well.
The check in was as easy as can be. We received all the information we needed to find and access the unit, including maps, door code and useful notes in an email prior to our arrival. Gail checked in with us through Vrbo to make sure we had no problems when we got in, and that was it. Simple.
Gail was very pleasant to work with. She was available, very responsive and helpful with any questions we had, and was even forward about mentioning an inconsequential issue with the shower lining. she cared about our experience and was personable, without intruding into our vacation.
The location is nearly ideal. The condo is situated close, but not too close to the street that separates the complex from beach. It was so easy to get up in the morning and go jump in the water for a few minutes before breakfast.
Because the unit is oriented to the North, and is inset a few units from the street the lanai is always protected from the sun, unlike the south facing units across the grass that get blasted and blinded from about noon until sunset. It’s a trade off that you can’t watch the sunset directly from the lanai, but with as much sun exposure as one gets in Maui it was extremely pleasant to have a constantly shaded outdoor spot to cool off.
The best part of the view from the Lanai is of the West Maui mountains and the waters of Maalaea Bay. Stunning. Step out on to the grass in front to watch the whales breech and the sun set in the waters beyond the bay.
One does need to acknowledge that this is part of a condominium complex, filled with lots of other people on all sides enjoying their own Maui lives. For us, that included plenty of noise from young children running around in the unit above. There is a sound curfew at the complex and it is well respected. Except for Maui’s famous feral roosters, evenings and nights were very quiet. The air conditioner did a good job of knocking the sound of the roosters out.
The unit is on the south end of Kihei, so it is a little removed from the bustle of a tourism driven town, but still easy walking distance to good food and drink.
We had a great time, and would easily choose this listing again. I highly recommend it for your stay in Maui.

Pro: The rental is located in a good location in Kihei, near Kamaole Beach Park 3. The unit is renovated with a beautiful view from the patio.
Con: Unfortunately the unit was infested with roaches. On arrival to the unit, there was a dead roach on the bathroom wall which the owner stated she had “forgotten to clean off”. The owner initially stated she would send someone to spray the unit. When we returned from our day outing, there was dirt left all over the unit from the boots of whoever had sprayed. After speaking to the owner, she denied anyone had come to spray the unit. When we found more roaches, the owner denied there was an issue despite me sending multiple pictures and a previous reviewer commenting on the roaches. Her response was “Maui has bugs”. She even accused us of sending pictures from a different unit. In total, I killed 16 roaches during the stay. Due to this issue and the poor response of the owner, I would not stay here again.
Other smaller issues included the shower door leaking. The owner was aware, did not advise us of this issue beforehand, and instead left two small towels on the ground to capture the water. The refrigerator water filter was also overdue for a change.

This condo is located in a great spot in Keihi, right across the street from the beach. The decor is very nice and there are many items in kitchen to make it functional and comfortable. Gail gave us a really late check out and that was appreciated given our flight was at 11 pm. I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking to rent a 1 bedroom condo.

We loved the location of this unit! Right across from Kamaole Beach III, with beautiful ocean views from the back porch. The unit is nicely updated and comfortable (loved having AC in the bedroom!). The bathroom shower tends to leak out onto the floor, so we had to mop up a puddle after each shower. We also saw a few cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom, which we assume is probably normal in Hawaii? There was a cockroach trap in the bedroom so it’s probably been an ongoing issue. Overall, we loved it and would choose this location again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gail’s Kihei condo. It was right across the street from the beach with a big park which was perfect for watching the gorgeous sunsets each night. The property has been recently renovated and is beautifully furnished. It was also well stocked, just like home, with basic toiletries, condiments, and spices, so we were able to cook, clean, and do laundry during our 10 day stay. Gail was quick to respond to emails and was very accommodating when we asked last minute for a late check out. Would definitely stay here again!
