This room and resort was absolutely perfect for our stay in Maui! It was my husband & myself and our 14 y/o. Location was incredible, kitchen was fully stocked, everything was smooth & communication was fantastic. I did misunderstand the listing thinking the washer/dryer was in the room, it’s not- but just down the hall and very easy access! Would absolutely stay again & would absolutely recommend to anyone! Stunning Kā'anapali Beach location, ground level studio, shady & cool semi-private lanai overlooking side gardens only 100 yards or so from the high tide waterline! Complimentary parking: the most convenient is either of the 2 open air overflow lots just inside the gatehouse entry which puts one closest to an outside door to the building. Touchless card key entry to all secured areas of the property, including the gated pool. Amazing views of neighboring East Moloka'i across the channel from the lanai. Note: The complimentary parking does NOT include a 35/day resort fee. Aside from the ubiquitous Pacific Blue, the pool has the perfect temp for lap swimming, particularly right @ opening time each morning @ 0800 h before the resident crowd & before the sun shines directly into the water. Host Larry is highly attentive & welcomed my after-stay suggestions on how he might further enhance this unit another couple more notches. Shared laundry facilities are around the corner in the hall & are also complimetary. (Bring your preferred detergent, if no leftovers in the unit from previous renter.) Garbage chute opposite the laundry room & recycle bins can be found all over the property outside each building entrance. Hundreds of photo ops around the central gardens! You would be very fortunate to be Host Larry's guest here & during your stay to meet Karen @ the entry gatehouse, Mike, Rod, & Joyce @ the Front Desk, & Uncle Nathan, our Hawaiian cultural practitioner! Wow! The condo unit is as described. It is clean and nicely furnished with most everything you need for an enjoyable Maui vacation. The view from the unit and the lanai is sensational. You are only less than 100 yards to the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean. You have the backdrop of seeing Lanai Island which is 6 miles offshore. The best part is the unit is situated so that you have a view to your left of the West Maui Mountains and beautiful sunrises every morning. Then if you look slightly to your right, you have a front row seat to the world-famous Hawaiian sunsets! You can see beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day without leaving your condo unit. This is probably the best unit in the best location in Maui.

We have stayed at the Whaler many times over the years and this is by far the nicest condo we have stayed in at the Whaler. The unit was super clean and it had all of the amenities that we needed. The property manager checked in with us from time to time to make sure we had plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc. the condo was also nicely equipped with local soap, shampoo, conditioner and other items. We will definitely look to stay in his unit again next year.

6/10: Has potential. If the unit and bed linens were clean, I would have rated this place an 8/10.
Con’s:
Check-in was at 3pm. We had to wait until after 4 because the room wasn’t ready. Came back after 4 and got the package envelope, went up to the room, and the room keys weren’t in the envelope, just beach towel keys. Had to go back down for room keys.
The room was dirty. The toilet and tub had leftover “dirt” and hair from the previous guests. Fortunately I brought Clorox wipes and there was some Ajax under the sink.
The bed linens were filthy with dirt & food stains. The middle tan blanket also had ketchup or blood on it. The sheets caused us to itch but we couldn’t sleep on top of them bc the blankets again were filthy.
For the cleaning fee charged I would expect the room to be clean for my arrival.
The sleeping area room was outdated and the walls were dirty with spills from prior guests.
The room had a bad odor. There was a note written on a napkin saying sometimes there are odors from the restaurants next door.
The fridge had opened shared condiments. If you’re ok with trusting the sanitation of prior guests and using open lid condiments, there are quite a few options.
Pros:
This condo is in the perfect location. It is right beside the Whaler food court/shopping.
A few minute walk to other resorts for dining options, a luau, and calmer waters. Partial ocean view, close to the free laundry room and elevators.

We enjoyed our 7 days in this beautiful condo which was perfect for 4 adults. The wrap-around veranda was our favorite place to hang out with both ocean and mountain views! The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing meals and it was great having a washer/dryer in the master bathroom. The property is so beautiful and it was a definite plus to be located next door to Whalers Village shops and restaurants.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beach condo. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. Amazing property and super responsive host! The unit was simply spectacular. The location, right on Kaanapali beach next to the Whaler shopping center, shopping, restaurants just a few short steps. The unit had expansive lanai with views of sunset and sunrise, plus a choice of seating lounger, table and hi top. Plenty of beach and pool toys, chairs, umbrellas. And the interior was very well equipped and designer inspired decor, plus two full bathrooms - his and hers!! Beyond our expectations, didnt want to leave already planning our next visit.

Another lovely stay at The Whaler--the best place on Ka'anapali Beach, we think! We love The Whaler for its location next to Whaler's Village, countless dining options, oceanfront activities, and the best stretch of beach on the island. The Whaler 1015 is a lovely unit--updated and offering a beautiful view from high above the gorgeous courtyard. This unit had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We did not hear a single sound from the hall, neighboring units, or the nearby elevators once during our stay. It is peaceful and quiet! Proximity to the laundry room and the elevators were a PLUS for us, given how quiet it was. Would definitely recommend this unit to others and would absolutely stay here again.

Our room didn't overlook the ocean completely...but we could definitely see the sea from our balcony. The studio apartment was really comfortable for our stay and had everything we needed. We loved being able to take our beach chairs (provided) down to the beach for sunset every night. The grounds of the resort were lovely and really well kept. We appreciated the free undercover parking. The aircon was great. Definitely needed! Having Whalers Village right next door meant that we didn't have to go far for restaurant options, snacks or even shopping if that is what you are in to! It is about a 50 minute drive from the airport.

I had no problems with the property in general, but I did with the condo. The condo had cockroaches. There were some on the shower curtain and some under the kitchen sink. When I left a message for the whomever takes these kinds of complaints, I never heard back. I assume it wasn't taken care of. The rugs in the condo were dirty (which I also reported). The bedroom rug not as much but the living room rug was filthy. The couch and chair in the living room were also dirty, as were the pillows (living room and bedroom) and I doubt they have never been cleaned. The couch is very uncomfortable and old. The furniture needs replacing. When sitting on the couch I put a towel down, so I didn't have contact with the fabric.I will say that the kitchen and bathroom were updated and were nice (except for the cockroaches). The kitchen was well stocked, and I appreciated there were many spices to use. There were a lot of pans and plastic containers to store food. I wasn't a fan of the dishes; they were square and heavy. And I found them unattractive, but that is personal preference. The bathroom had 2 sinks and a lot of drawers and baskets to use. That was a plus.Lastly, one of the questions was about communication with the property manager. I wanted to skip the question, but the website wouldn’t let me. I had no communication with the property manager. Why don't you have a box for N/A or no contact. You asked about the property in general, but not about the condo.

Our stay was fantastic. Immaculately clean. Property was equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen. There is also plenty of beach and snorkel equipment. The only thing we bought were our own snorkels. The property and location is perfect. So easy to dash to the shops and restaurants at Whaler’s village and catch the sunset cruise with Sea Maui. Sometimes the service dock of Whaler’s Village was a bit loud but it was not an issue for us at all. Great views of mountains and the ocean. Enjoy sunrise and sunset from the lanai. I hope to visit again!

Property exceeded our expectations. Very clean, comfortable, well maintained and had every amenity that could be desired. Great having laundry in unit with soap and dryer sheets provided. Kitchen was large and new with dishes, pans, cooking utensils and even some condiments provided. The view from the large balcony with table and chairs and lounge chairs was spectacular of the ocean and golf courses. The host provided additional beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, pool floats and even snorkeling gear We enjoyed the pool and hot tub at the resort which provided towels, umbrellas and chairs. They provided lounges and chairs for beach use located right in front. My husband and I slept in the 1 separate bedroom with lovely linen on the very comfortable king bed and my sister in the living area on the very comfortable Murphy bed. There were pull out beds in the 2 couches but we did not use them. We all loved our stay and highly recommend the property and hope to return soon.

The walk-in closet was a delight with enough clothes hangers to stay for a month! Unfortunately, we could not connect to the internet during the final 2 days of our stay. Also, our key cards stopped working the day before we left and we had to go to the front desk to get them re-programmed.
