We had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back. The view was incredible and one of our favorite parts of the trip. The condo was huge, exceptionally clean, and had plenty of space for our family to spread out and relax.The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, and the condo was thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials you could need during your stay, whether you were relaxing inside or heading out for the day.The location couldn’t have been better. It was just a short walk to Whalers Village, making it easy to enjoy restaurants, shopping, and the beach without having to drive.The owners were incredibly kind and extremely responsive. They were wonderful to work with and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.Overall, this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting Maui and would happily stay here again.

This is now our absolute favorite place to stay in Maui! It’s even better than the pictures. And the views are incredible. Being able to see the ocean while laying in bed was the perfect way to wake up each morning. The unit also has everything you could wish for. Lastly, Julie was the perfect host - always very responsive and easy check in instructions. The location is also perfect - it’s steps away from the beach. This is a beautiful condo that has absolutely everything you need. We even managed to cook a few meals while we were there and the kitchen was very well stocked with all the necessary cookware. Especially nice are all of the games and beach gear. Julie is a very communicative host and she gave some great recommendations regarding grocery stores and restaurants. With so many great reviews I can’t believe our stay was so disappointing. Let’s start with night one the upstairs unit flooded into our bathroom, hallway and master closet. Did repair come quickly yes. The fire sprinkler though continued to leak the rest of the trip and my daughter’s suitcase in the closet was soaked. The pocket door to the bathroom was stuck and would not close by about two inches. Had to ask maintenance to come fix that as well since I have 3 teenagers who value privacy. After all the water that brought the ants. Day 2 the ants got into ALL opened dry food and everything had to be thrown out. We tried moving unopened food to coffee table to save and by day 4 of calling for help with ant problem all food had to be thrown out. The ants also decided to take over the coffee maker and make it unusable for the rest of the stay. We had 4 in our group but they started us with only 3 towels that I did Not know we had to wash on our own. There should be at least the number of towels given for occupants. They did bring new towels although since we had to use our towels to clean up the leak. Carpet is stained and dry bug carcasses throughout. I did Reach out to property management repeatedly during our stay.

The unit is truly amazing. It is our new home away from home. From the moment you arrive at The Whaler and especially when you step into the unit, you know you are in for a first-class Hawaiian vacation. There is every amenity needed for your stay. The hosts are very helpful, friendly and accommodating.The location is perfect for ocean/beach views and spectacular sunsets between Lanai and Molokaʻi. You also have a great view of Black Rock and are next door to Whaler's Village with shopping and excellent restaurants. We cannot recommend this unit and The Whaler highly enough. We look forward to our next visit.

Condo was perfect for my family of 4’s first visit to Maui. Amazing views of beach, ocean and the The Whaler Shopping village. Close to walk to everything, only needed our car for Road to Hana. Has everything you need for beach-chairs, snorkel masks, umbrellas and boogie boards. Would definitely stay here again if we come back.

This is a gem of a place to stay on Maui. It’s steps from the beach and shopping, condo is nicely furnished, clean, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, roomy balcony - perfect for two people. We especially appreciated, and used, all the beach equipment - boogie boards, nice umbrellas, snorkeling gear, chairs, pool toys. Owner was prompt and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

The property was fantastic. The rooms and the amenities were incredible. The view was precisely as described. We could not have had a better property to stay at. The ocean was right there and the pool was great. We were within walking distance to all the restaurants, right next door to the Whaler shops. The beach walk was fantastic. The host was very communicative and told us what to expect and we had absolutely no problems. There are amenities for kids to play with on the beach, the rooms and furniture were clean and comfortable, and everything was just as we would have expected to have a great vacation. Our family of 5 had an amazing 6 days in this unit at The Whaler! It's a corner unit, so the VIEWS are awesome to Black Rock and to the ocean!!! Beds are comfortable and the roll away bed was helpful. My family loved the hot tub and pool . The kitchen was stocked. They provided 4 beach chairs and an umbrella. This is truly ocean front! Only about 5 steps to the sand! The best part is the amazing views! Stunning sunsets every night! If you want to be in the heart of Kaanapali Beach, this is the best place! You can walk to Whaler Village and we even got picked up for our snorkel excursion right in from of our condo!!! We played tennis 2 days at the property, they will provide rackets and balls! We hope to come back and stay here again! Phenomenal views!

The condo was amazing. It was on the 8th floor, the elevators were always super quick. What I loved the most about this condo unit was the towel rack on the balcony. Being able to air dry our swim suits and towels was awesome. The free washer and dryer are right around the corner from the room if you need it. They had some detergent available to use when I was there. There was also shampoo, conditioner, body wash and 2 hair dryers. There was a regular coffee pot with some coffee available plus a Keurig machine. We have 3 kids who slept in the living room. They utilized the pullout sofa bed, the cot, and we also found an air mattress in the closet. We had an issue with the shower not working when we got there. I called the maintenance # that we were told to call. Within an hour I received a call back and probably less than an hour later someone was there to take a look at it. That was awesome turn around. There were 2 sets of snorkel gear available, but we needed more for our family, so we went to Boss Frog’s. It was half the price for renting snorkel gear than if you rent it at the beach. It’s right next to Safeway. Boss Frog’s also helped get us set up with Zipline and at a discount. The location of the Whaler is awesome. The beach is sandy and beautiful.

The location of this unit was perfect for our busy family - ground floor allowed us easy access to the courtyard and our kids enjoyed the private grassy area off our patio. Overall, the place itself was good, but the stay ended up disappointing. The biggest issue was the lanai — it’s right next to industrial air‑conditioning units and a loading dock, so the noise is constant. Trucks start early, the AC drones all day, and it’s loud enough that you hear it inside the condo as well. The small outdoor table also sits too low to enjoy the view, so between the noise and the setup, the lanai really wasn’t usable.The resort is beautiful and close to everything, but that also means it’s a busier, louder area. Inside the condo, everything you needed was there. It was comfortable overall, and the air‑conditioning worked fine — just loud. Underground parking was a plus.I did request a refund since the lanai wasn’t enjoyable at all, but the owner denied it. I was hoping for a quiet Oceanview stay, so this was a letdown. I wouldn’t book this particular unit again.

We love the Whaler, and have stayed here several times. It's the perfect location on Kaanapali beach. This unit was our favorite so far. The condo was clean and nicely remodeled, with a big walk-in shower and comfortable bed. The host was accessible and helpful. The only improvement I can think of would be to refresh the pillows. The ones on the bed were a bit flat, but my husband found some fluffier ones in the closet in the bathroom and we were happy with those. I'm assuming they were for the pull-out bed. These inner courtyard units are really the way to go. They have great views of the ocean and the beach, and they are quiet. It's so convenient to have Hula Grill and also Whaler's Village right next door with superb food, shopping, and the ABC store. This was such a wonderful anniversary trip, and we will definitely look for availability of this unit when we return.

The condo was lovely! It has everything you need in the kitchen, including Tupperware's and a fully stocked cook set. You can tell it's been well taking care of.We also appreciated that it had chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler bag for day trips to the beach. The condo is a spacious corner unit. Love the birdsong. Kitchen stocked well. You do have to walk out on the balcony and look right for a water view. While you can hear the parking garage and garbage trucks in the morning at the whaler’s village, you do not hear people in neighboring units. The 2 queen beds appear to be replaced from mention in other reviews, and when asked said the beds were very comfortable. Those both had a box spring and new mattress. The king bedroom mattress was like a butcher block, and I did not rest well on that bed. It only has a coiled mattress on wood slats and not the same mattress set as new queens. I would stay again if the king bed has the same new mattress set as the queens. We loved the complex!
