This was a beautifully decorated condo, very clean and lots of amenities. The stay as usual is the best at the Whaler. So close to dining and shopping and beach days! We loved the stay- but it would have been nice to know the balcony was closed off and we couldn’t enjoy it. We weren’t given any notice that it was under construction- but also there was nobody actually working on it the whole time either. Some kind of compensation would be nice, since it wasn’t disclosed. Mechanical issue with refrigerator was quickly resolved with no disruption. Excellent communication with both owner and on-site management company. We hope to return again soon.

I have stayed at the Whaler four times now… First time in this unit!
The resort itself is fairly large, however, the unit is in the perfect location.… very short walk to the beach, pool, barbecue patio, front desk,… there is even a secret gate that leads to the back of wailers Village… It is only access with your room key!…
The unit has everything you need for a good time, including beach, chairs, and a beach umbrella. It is very quiet!… You never hear door, slam or people in the hallway… The lanai is very peaceful, with a peekaboo view of the ocean… Always a bit of shade, and that is where we spent most of our time when we were not out and about…
We felt very secure, sleeping with the sliding glass door open, so we could hear the waves at night… And be sure to wake up with the tropical birds in the morning!…
We rented a car this time however, I have stayed here without a car before… Absolutely everything is within walking distance… Snorkeling at Black rock, turtles, delicious food, live Hawaiian music, the color of the ocean water is just like you imagine! Especially in the late morning!… Love it!

Beautiful location. Beach is gorgeous and the facility is close to shopping and dining, all within casual walking distance. The staff is excellent. The bellman, Nathan, was very helpful with unloading of our luggage, escorting us to check in and then accompanying my wife to our room while I parked our car. On arrival to our room, Nathan immediately noted that the staff had not completed the cleaning process prior to our arrival and contacted the front desk to have someone come finish the job. He then followed up at a later time to ensure that someone had taken care of us. The young lady who came to finish the cleaning set up made sure we had toilet paper, towels and sheets and blankets. She informed me that they have different companies doing the housekeeping for the facility and that hers was not the one for our room but she was glad to handle the problem for us. I really appreciated both Nathan and her extra effort.

You can't beat the location of this condo. Bottom floor is great if you have kiddos, ours were in and out all day either in the pool, beach, playing soccer on the lawn, or shopping at Whalers. If you have kids this place is ideal. Cindy was great checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The unit is fully stocked for cooking, with more amenities than you would think. She had beach umbrellas, chairs, snorkel gear, a cooler, etc. Would definitely stay here again!

This unit is in a building with a great location, on the beach next to restaurants and shopping. The building has excellent management, staff and security. There was some noise from construction within the building during the weekdays we were there, but there was nothing management could do.

From the time we checked in to the moment we left, we could not have been more pleased with this condo.
The pictures are exactly what you will get, just beautiful. The condo was clean and setup perfectly, even the balcony furniture was comfy.
We stayed at The Whaler in the past, but this condo was definitely the best one.
Property manager and all communication was great. Even though the complex was secure, it would be great if the unit installed a safe.
We will be back to Maui in the future and will definitely try to get this condo. Thank you!

Upon arrival, unit was only partially cleaned. Difficult to get to the manager with the time difference. Called VRBO's helpline and they were of no use. After 2 days mostly squared away. The unit has had minimal upgrades and is in need of attention. At least 8 lightbulbs needed replacing, toilet seat was broken, shower curtain torn, dent in refrigerator door. A/C in living area did not work as well as the bedroom A/C. Right sliding door was difficult to open, couch cushions were worn out. With that said, we actually stayed a little longer because the Whaler, and this unit's location was excellent. Just know its a bit rundown.

The studio is sweet. The bed sleeps well,..in fact the pillows we used for sleeping were so so so nice!! The lanai is perfect with a high table and two tall chairs that we loved using! The view is really nice. The tv in the room is large and smart, so we were able to log in to amazon and Netflix. It's a very nice space. Our vacation was perfect!! PS just off the bathroom area there's a little "room"/large closet with a dresser. It's a great place to stash your suitcase etc...The owner was so very easy to communicate with.

This was our first trip to Hawaii and it was everything we expected snd more. The condo is perfectly located right on Kaanapali Beach next to Whalers Village. The condo was very comfortable for a couple and everything we wanted. Nice sized kitchen and bathroom with plenty of storage. We did all the typical tourist things which i will not bore you with other than to say we loved them all. We are not sure when we will be back but we would definitely stay here again. This is the only place that has a beach front pool/hot tub. So we were just in and out of the ocean/pool all week. It was fantastic!
