Owners thought of everything you will need for a memorable stay! The property’s staff is so helpful and concierge services are excellent in providing excursion assistance/information. The property was kept in great condition, the view can’t be beaten, and the staff at the Whaler was tremendously helpful and professional. Given the proximity to tourism reopening on West Maui, we considered not coming. We are very glad we did though. The first person that I talked to thanked us for coming and from there on out we continued to hear it. I felt welcome and was able to spend money in an area that needed it. Plenty of great local restaurants to check out north of the Whaler as well. The owners are also incredible. Very considerate and responsive given the situation in Maui the last several months. Offered us the ability to decide if we came to the island or not we’ll beyond the normal refund period. Amazing stay!

Just spent 8 nights in this beautiful condo and cannot wait to return. It was the best time. If you like being literally beachfront in a beautifully decorated condo, steps away from clear blue water, nearby delicious food options and shopping, stay here!! It’s also easy drives to the nearby excursions. I cannot recommend this place enough.

This unit is updated and beautiful inside, the lower floor accessiblity is very convenient, and the view is OUTSTANDING. Our friends had this unit 5 years ago and we knew we had to have it to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding property! The on-line description and photos were very accurate. This is an oceanfront wrap around unit that has spectacular views in all directions. My wife and I have stayed at the Whaler 6-8 times over the years and this property was the best we have stayed in. We would most definitely like to be back soon!

The condo was amazing and felt like home. Well appointed and kitchen has everything needed to feel like home. Location in building is perfect, you do not need to use the elevator. Simply one or two flights of stairs right outside the door, and access to the pool and spa, BBQ Area and beach. Or the gym and garage.

We have stayed in this condo previously. We love the location on Kaanapali and where this unit is located in the Whaler. Everything we need to have a great vacation experience is right there. Ross and Lori have always been great to work with. Our time at their condo was extremely relaxing.

This is a well maintained low floor ocean front unit. It has an expansive patio with 180 degree of the ocean. Easy access to beach and pool through internal staircase. The unit was fully stocked with kitchenware. Perfect place for a couple to enjoy Maui. Oh, I failed to mention it’s adjacent to Whaler Village shops and restaurants.

My wife and I just returned from this property . This condo is an out of the park home run ! We travel extensively and this is one of our top places that we have stayed. Impeccably clean and well appointed. The views are incredible . There is a bit of pool noise, but not annoying. If you enjoy people watching and convenient location on the second floor within steps to the pool , this unit is for you. Sleeping at night with the doors open and the lapping waves lulling us to sleep was heaven. Pictures don’t do justice for the amazing sunsets.
The owners were very attentive and ready to help.
The entire staff at the Whaler are super friendly and very attentive to any needs that may arise.
Our best advice for staying here is to treat the condo as if you own it, to preserve it for the future renters, because once you have stayed here you will be back!

We have stayed at Whalers prior to this stay and this one was the most beautiful. The condo, ocean view, size and decorating was fabulous! Nothing was left untouched when making our stay so accommodating. The only thing the owner's Ross and Lori didn't do was dictate the weather. But God did that magnificently. We were so blessed with the most beautiful views and weather.

While the property is oceanfront, the condo sits above the pool and feels a bit like a fishbowl. If you are a sun worshipper this is the unit for you. The property grounds are beautifully kept and the staff at The Whaler are fantastic! We’ve been visiting The Whaler for 20+ years now. It’s always a pleasure to be back.
The cons for the unit were minimal. Personal opinion, the cleaning service needs to back off the bleach. The odor was so strong we had to open all windows, rinse the showers down and leave the unit. The ceiling fans are pretty much decorative because they put out very little wind. The a/c has wooden panels that cover the exchange and the air flow is obstructed.
Ending on a good note, the owners are very kind. Easy to work with and make you feel welcome.

The views were the very best part of the unit! Fantastic! We sat out on the patio each night to see the sunset and again each morning to see the sunrise and the island to come to life. The pool noise and onlookers are very much a part of the patio experience being on the 2nd floor, but we did not mind. What was disappointing however, was taking our 5-year-old son to the pool. It was very much an adult pool. Most chairs taken before noon and adult vacationers camped out all day - going between the beach and pool. Lots of drinking going on and adult socializing. The pool temp was warm to hot, like a bathtub and quite dirty when we visited. We also got asked not to splash and were reminded by another vacationer that toys were not allowed (we brought 2 small whale action figures). After our 2nd visit, we decided not to use the pool for the remainder of our trip. Very disappointing. The interior decor and furniture were very nice and all appliances, washer dryer and both bathrooms - all well-equipped - made for an 'at-home' like experience. We personally found the king bed to be quite hard and uncomfortable. Our son was provided a mini-folding camping cot and sleeping bag for his accommodations. The bell/concierge service at the Whaler was great and the grounds were beautiful. Easy parking and short walk to shopping and several restaurant options. We had a terrific time and Ross /Lisa were very responsive when we connected through the app.

This is a stunning condo. directly on the water at The Whaler. I knew that it would be nice but the 180 degree view from the balcony was amazing. We have the best sunset pictures between the two palm trees. We loved that we were above the pool as we were on the 2nd floor so it was easy walking distance up the stairwell. The pool was cleaned every morning and quiet every evening. The condo has a wonderful layout, decorated very nice, and has alot of extras that we found really helpful. I would definately recommend this condo and when I come back I would only hope that it would be available again.

Wonderful place to stay. One actual bedroom makes it a perfect place for a couple to stay. We did not experience the pull out couch, so we can’t comment on that but it seemed large and accessible if a second bed was needed. Everything about the unit was upscale and beautiful. The balcony views were outstanding, and when we opened the doors at night we could hear the ocean which is something we really enjoyed. It’s within easy walking distance of some excellent restaurants and a small mall area with a general store. The owners were so kind and responsive we wish we knew them as friends. We saw condos that charge less, but I can’t imagine a condo that gives more of what we were looking for in our Hawaiian vacation.

Prior to booking and during the stay Ross was very communicative. Had issues with the safe and stains on the comforter upon checking in. It was addressed rather quickly. Unfortunately the beach umbrella was broken and not available for use. Was given the option to buy a new one and be reimbursed but did not have time to do so.
The room was on the second floor and had quick access to the pool and beach. However you can hear everything down below from the pool till 10pm when there are quiet hours.
The staff at the Whaler were top notch. During our stay one of our party members lost their cell phone at the beach. Luckily days later it was found but we had already checked out. We asked the Whaler if it was ok for them to receive the phone and mail it back. They happily did so and I received the phone.
Miss the place and hopefully we will be fortunate to return again.

This was the trip of a lifetime for us, and unit 201 was a big reason we had such an unforgettable time. From booking everything, to the arrival, and all throughout the stay, everything was as advertised and more. We had a wonderful stay! The condo is beautiful, well-equipped, and in a very convenient location. I loved drinking my coffee on the lanai each morning and watching the beach goers. My kids loved being able to walk down the stairs, located right outside the door of the condo, straight to the beach. It was nice to be able to walk over to Whaler’s Village to pick up dinner to take back with us and relax at the condo. Ross and Lori are excellent hosts, and were very quick to respond to any questions I had while I was there! Thank you so much for a memorable vacation!

Words cannot describe how great this place was. It’s much quieter than the surrounding hotels but you still feel like you’re in the thick of it. We chose to take it very casually why staying here because the place was so great. We watched whales, ate all of our meals, had our happy hours, and did yoga on the patio. The condo was spacious and comfortable.

I have stayed at The Whaler a few times and this was the best unit by far. Sweeping views of Kaanapali Beach, watching the catamaran's coming and going, so close to the pool and beach. We also enjoyed watching all of the whales right from the lanai. This unit is simply amazing and I will be coming back for sure.

We have stayed at many condos at The Whaler and this is by far our favorite! Fantastic view (we saw many whales from the lanai), extremely clean with high end furnishings, easy walk down a flight of stairs to the pool area and boardwalk (no need to take an elevator), and easy communication with the hosts. We would love to make this one our "to go" place to stay!

Fair warning, you are never going to want to leave. The inside and outside of this condo unit is going to blow your flip flops off! But that's ok, the beach is steps away!
When you walk in, the first thing that strikes you is the size and beauty of the unit. And then...you're going to head straight to the wrap-around lanai where the views are breathtaking. You can experience every sunset sitting right here with your favorite beverage and we enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast every day watching the ocean beauty and beach come to life. The binoculars provided got great use every day, as we came during whale migration and saw so many whales right from the lanai. We could never get enough.
We enjoyed the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler and walked down a flight of stairs and onto the beach. Seriously...straight onto the beach! You cannot be closer to the restaurants, shopping or tour boats.
Inside, there is so much room to spread out and relax, a full size kitchen with absolutely everything you would need, two big bathrooms (love two bathrooms) and a very big bedroom. Even the kitchen and bedroom have stunning ocean views! We like to make breakfast every morning, and the BBQ grills are cleaned every day and right downstairs waiting for you to grill a burger or steak! Everything is extremely clean and decorated beautifully with full-sized everything available. Even a full-size washer and dryer!
The Whaler grounds are clean and immaculate, the entire staff is friendly and helpful, and a special shout-out to Nathan and Fred for their hard work and big smiles. We would never even consider staying anywhere else while in Maui. The Whaler is the best.
Mahalo to hosts Ross and Lori. This was our fourth stay in #201; you make everything so easy and comfortable. We always consider staying in #201 a big warm Hawaiian hug. We highly recommend #201 to everyone looking for a special experience. We have already booked another stay in the Fall.

My wife, son (27), and I vacationed here. The ammentities were great. This property was fantastic. It was exactly as advertised. The location, views, beach, pool, staff were all excellent. Also, you are not paying daily parking like you do at a hotel/resort property. The condo was very clean when we arrived and had all the essentials to get us started. The beach chairs umbrella, cooler, snorkle gear etc were great additions and saved us money. We had a wonderful time and the unit and owners were I huge part in that success. Their communication and interaction with us was great. We received a personal call from Lori the day after we arrived . She genuinely wanted to check to ensure everything was ok, and we were all set for our vacation. Highly recommended to anyone. Great vacation!

This place is a gem. First, the location is ideal…it is in a perfect spot on one of the best beaches in the world. Short 5 minute walk to snorkeling, restaurants, beach, shopping and boat excursion pickup. Short 10ish minute drive to Lahaina amenities. Perfectly situated in complex, with wrap around windows with panoramic South, West ocean and even East mountain view’s. You’ll live on the wrap around balcony. Just one flight up from pool, beach and grills. Closer to the ocean than most all others on the beach. Wow!
The condo itself is immaculate, with high quality finishes, hardware and furnishings. We really appreciated completely stocked and well organized it was. Everything in a place. Marie Kondo would be proud!
Our only issue was staying here as our first stop of a three stop vacation. All other accommodations paled by comparison.

This property was an absolute dream come true. The view and the rooms were incredible. The staff and the people were incredibly kind and helpful.
I was worried about our trip to Maui during covid because I read so many articles about how crowded it was and the tourists were awful. We didn’t experience that at all and the whole trip exceeded our expectations. I’ve already forwarded this listing to several of my friends and family members so if you have a chance to stay here, definitely do it. We will be back for sure. I can't say enough good things about our stay at this property. As part of the booking process our hosts were always very timely with their communications and willing to answer any questions we may have related to our visit. Once we arrived, the property was just as described and the pictures showed. We have stayed at a number of VRBO properties but the combination of the perfect location and the attention to detail by the hosts made our visit very special. In addition to just being a very well maintained property, the extra details including the Tommy Bahamas beach chairs and umbrellas, the pre-stocked coffee and filters, and ample kitchen and bath supplies (only to name a few of our favorites), made this feel like a home for the week and very easy to enjoy and settle into. The wrap-around balcony and sunset views may have been the best we have experienced during our many journeys and we just loved our time here.

My husband and daughter stay at the Whaler allot and I have to say that Unit 201 beats them all. You will have everything for you from communication with the owners to chairs on the beach. It’s an absolute beautiful comfortable place to stay.
I thought it may be a little loud since your on top of the pool but at 10pm it gets quiet and the mornings are perfect sitting outside on the balcony drinking your coffee.
I really can’t say enough except you have to stay here for the perfect experience.

Unit 201 is absolutely everything the pictures promise. The unit was clean, had all the necessary cooking and living comforts for our vacation including beach chairs, umbrellas, etc.
We had one very minor issue in the unit and Ross and Lori went above and beyond to remedy the correct the issue immediately. Not only is the place and views magnificent, Ross and Lori are easily accessible via text/phone and made our stay absolutely perfect.
The access to pool, beach and the view from this unit cannot be beat. Unit 201 is absolutely the best 1 bedroom Oceanfront unit at the Whaler.
