We greatly enjoyed our stay! The condo was sparkling clean. As other reviews mentioned the photos do not do the property justice. The pool and hot tub area are a gorgeous tropical oasis and a perfect place to relax. Very close to wonderful beaches and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

WOW! what an amazing trip and it definitely was hugely in part of the great experience we had with Joe & Linda. I travel often and NEVER have i ever had owners of a property as communicative, and attention to detail! This space was great, had everything we needed --and they went over the top and brought some extra stuff that wasn't included! Perfectly located, easy to access from other parts of the island. The pools are great too!
If you're interested in booking --i would jump at it! You Definitely don't miss out on this gem on the island of Maui

We enjoyed our time the end of December. The condo is large and comfortable. It is clean and a 5 minute walk to the beach. It is an older condo but well taken care of. It’s not fancy but for us when we go to Maui, we don’t spend much time in the condo. It was sufficient for us.

It’s a beautiful place in a great location, spacious and comfortable for our family. Our kids enjoyed the pool, and we loved being very close to the many amazing beaches. However, we encountered a significant issue during our stay that potential guests should be aware of.
Upon arrival, we noticed an unsettling number of roaches in the kitchen area, more than what might be expected in a typical Hawaiian home. While we understand that bugs can be common in tropical climates, the extent of the infestation, particularly on the kitchen counter, was concerning. We stayed for 10 nights and spent considerable time cleaning up these pests, both big and small, which was quite an unpleasant experience.
Additionally, there was a privacy concern. After reporting this issue to the property manager on the second day, they entered the property without prior notice to set roach baits on the console table. This lack of communication was disconcerting and made us feel uncomfortable.
While the property has many positives, the roach issue was unfortunate. We believe addressing these concerns will greatly enhance the experience for future guests.

Over the last several years have rented different homes at Maui Kamaole because of its outstanding location being so close to the beaches, restaurants, activities, the low density and how well the property is always so well maintained and so close to Wailea.
Staying at Maui Kamaole is like staying in Wailea but at Kihei prices. The owner Steve has maintained and equipped the home as if he was living there full time. From a very well equipped kitchen to an extensive amount of beach accessories.
From the time the reservation was made I received several emails providing very useful information.
A most notable feature upon entering the home was its cleanliness. There was nothing of want and highly recommend staying at Steve’s unit and having him as your host.

When we arrived, everything was as expected. Registration was easy and we settled into this lovely condo with beautiful surroundings. Julisa was very thoughtful about providing what we needed, especially the beach wagon and gear, which we used everyday! We absolutely loved the pool and jacuzzi which was a short walk away. Many friendly people and good vibes! Kihei is a great area with lots to do and nice beaches for families and kids. We had such an amazing vacation and were happy to have a comfortable place to come home to!

Barry and Simon's condo was the perfect stay for my family (my husband and toddler). The place was very quiet and peaceful. The condo was very clean and we loved the well-supplied kitchen! Barry and Simon were gracious hosts, checking in to make sure we settled in well and if we needed anything. And its location is a definite plus - across from the beaches, readiliy accessible to restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend booking with Barry & SImon!

We loved our stay. We were very comfortable and loved the outside patio dining with ocean view. Cherrie was very responsive and helpful. Everything you could possibly need is in the unit. The location is excellent, out of the main busy section of Kihei, but close enough to get in, also close to Wailea. Walking distance to two great beaches. We slept great each night. This was by far the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The condo is attractive, spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. Cleanliness was exceptional. The lana’i is private, with comfortable furniture and a great peak of the ocean. The hosts provide everything needed (and more) for an exceptional stay. This was our first visit to Maui and our first Christmas away from home. Jes went above and beyond, giving us recommendations, a thoughtful welcome package and even set up a Christmas tree. I highly recommend this rental, and would 100% rent again.

We had a wonderful Christmas at the Maui Kamaole. The views from the condo are fantastic, just as advertised, and the size of the place is great. The living room furniture is not always the most comfortable, but overall it's a wonderful rental. Would definitely return in the future.

We stayed here in December 2023 for 8 days. We liked that there were 2 bedrooms (one master and one very small one) and the location (near the beach and upper pool). The kitchen could have used a strainer and a kettle-it was pretty thin on supplies. The disappointing part was that the dishwasher was supposed to be replaced before arriving but it wasn't, and we had to handwash all dishes. It wasn't usable and had a terrible smell. Also, the clothes dryer needs to be fixed or replaced as it literally took hours to dry anything. Both the dishwasher and dryer were mentioned in previous reviews. replacing/fixing these 2 appliances would definitely improve the stay and the review.

This rental unit was fantastic. For our family Christmas get together we used this as a second unit. The home was very well stocked and laid out so you could easily find what you need. Clean, tidy and well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed coffee/tea looking out towards the lower pool and the tranquility of the lanai off the bedroom for some reading Location is right across from Kamaole Beach 3 so easy to pop over to take a dip in the ocean. Walking distance to some restaurants and shops. Others are an easy Uber ride away. All in all a fabulous spot to stay and if you want to watch the sunset it is an easy walk over to the Kamaole Beacg 3.

Loved the patio off the family room we’d eat dinner every night outside. The location was so nice. We walked to the beach everyday that we could. We snorkeled with turtles at Kamole III, that’s where we watch the sunset. We walked to the shops just down the road. I’d stay here over and over again! It was a great place. Parking was so easy right outside our door. We walked to the upper pool and hot tub every night. The teens loved the hot tub. Everyone working on the premises were friendly. Overall phenomenal!

This condo is terrific -- it's well supplied with beach gear and the owner is wonderfully communicative and accommodating. The two pools are the biggest and nicest we've seen in Hawaii and the location can't be beat. The proximity to the beach is amazing. The ONLY drawback is that the two tennis courts prohibit pickle-ball -- if tenants don't like the noise, maybe limit the hours of play. Many families love pickleball and it's really disappointing to not be allowed to play on the courts.

Because the condo came with everything we needed, all we had to bring were our clothes! The condo had ample shampoo, conditioner, body soaps, laundry detergent, and plenty of paper products. We loved having access to lots of thick beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach toys, and ample bags to carry them all in. There were insulated water bottles and coolers available for our use as well. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed to cook a nice meal at home. The views from the deck were amazing! We could see whales breaching right from the deck while we enjoyed a nice meal outside. The owners and property manager were super responsive and easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. They were even able to accommodate an early check in for us. We needed an HDMI cable for one of the TVs and David, one of the owners, stopped by to drop it off for us, which I really appreciated! It was great to meet the owner in person, who was a great guy and made sure we had his contact info in case we needed anything.
This is my third stay in Maui Kamaole and this is the best property we ever stayed at! We have found our go to place whenever we’re on the island and look forward to booking this place again the in the future. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home!

We loved our stay here. The condo itself is impeccable - totally renovated and has everything you could need, including beach gear!
Fred was very responsive with communication and clearly cared about making our experience great.
You can't beat the location - the condo is at the back of the property, which means it is super quiet, but it is a short walk to fantastic snorkeling at Kamaole 2 and 3.
We had friends stay at a condo at the same property and we loved the pools for entertaining the kids.
We would love to stay here again!

Stayed for 2 weeks. Family of 4 ( kids 5 and 1.5) . The pool really is 20 steps away , we spent a lot of time there and kids loved it. Pool is warm and the gardens are gorgeous. The king bed and sofa pull out were comfortable and all my family needed. The condo has extra linens and sheets as well. The washer and dryer in the unit are full size and work great. We also loved how the fridge made ice. The condo is just off south kihei road and close to kam 3 beach which is a great beach for kids. We mainly drove to beach but we went for morning walks from the condo. There is a steep hill to climb from the street which is hard with little kids who are hot. The tv has a really good selection of cable channels. The patio is great. Nice and relaxing and quiet. Gets lots of afternoon sun. The awning was used most of our trip. Did not hear any outside noise at night the whole stay which we appreciated. I contacted the owner Fred a few
times and he got back to me right away amd was so nice.
The only negatives was that there was a lot of decor about the place. Lots of stuff for little kids to touch. And some of the furniture is maybe a bit too big for the space.The beach equipment wasnt quite what we expected. There was just one cooler and it was tiny. We purchased a soft cooler bag to use as well. There was only 1 useable boogie board, the other was in rough shape when we took to the beach and ended up falling apart in ocean. And out of the 4 beach chairs only 1 had a workable strap.

Great stay. Place was fantastic and location is great. Only a couple things we would change if we could. Air conditioner being on a timing is a pain. Not a lot of natural light, but great walkout patio. If our kids were younger and carrying lots to the beach, it is a bit of a hike with the hill. Overall small things when staying in paradise.
