I can’t wait to come back! The view is even better than the pictures and the lanai is big enough for our family of 6 to enjoy together in the evenings. Having the lanai face NW means beautiful views, yet the ability to be in the shade all day. Plenty of beach gear, well stocked kitchen, short walk to the beach and beautiful grounds. The condo was perfect for our family of 6. Good size rooms, an Xbox for the teens, and a couple of games we enjoyed playing together, the beds were comfy, beach towels provided, and it's a short walk to Fred's for dinner. I would love to book this condo again on our next trip.

This property was everything we could have asked for and more! It was super clean and was exactly as described in the listing. It had all the conveniences of home, which made packing a breeze. Because the condo came with everything we needed, all we had to bring were our clothes! The condo had ample shampoo, conditioner, body soaps, laundry detergent, and plenty of paper products. We loved having access to lots of thick beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach toys, and ample bags to carry them all in. There were insulated water bottles and coolers available for our use as well. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed to cook a nice meal at home. The views from the deck were amazing! We could see whales breaching right from the deck while we enjoyed a nice meal outside. The owners and property manager were super responsive and easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. They were even able to accommodate an early check in for us. We needed an HDMI cable for one of the TVs and David, one of the owners, stopped by to drop it off for us, which I really appreciated! It was great to meet the owner in person, who was a great guy and made sure we had his contact info in case we needed anything.
This is my third stay in Maui Kamaole and this is the best property we ever stayed at! We have found our go to place whenever we’re on the island and look forward to booking this place again the in the future. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home!

First trip to Maui with the family. This condo was in a perfect location to be close to beaches, restaurants and shopping that you could walk everywhere. Well equipped with everything you would use to cook at your own home. Air conditioning units were pretty dated and not the strongest of cool breezes coming, but we saw a new unit in the closet so thinking that problem will be solved soon! Lots of beach toys, chairs, coolers, water bottles, beach towels and snorkel gear was a nice and convenient touch and made beach days a lot easier to organize, although it would have been nice if the snorkel gear provided was complete; mismatched and not enough for 6 adult faces. A small detail that may well be out of the owners’ hands with previous guests possibly losing or breaking pieces along the way.
Property had nice pools, but seemed more like adult style with strict noise rules. Not much fun to be had with over 60’s folks reading by the pool, looking disappointed that any kids/teens in the pool would dare make any noise or splashes.
Outside these little things, we will definitely be back! Beautiful views, quiet at night, easy parking, comfy beds, close to everything. We were happy with the value received!

My wife and I and our 26 year old daughter had a wonderful 8 night stay here Sept. 8-15. The beautiful condo is described and pictured just as it is. Furnishings, amenities and interior design were perfectly suited to our taste. The owners take pride in providing a wonderful experience for their guests.
The location is very central to town. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance and there is a beautiful beach and park across the street. The condo complex itself has well maintained grounds, nice swimming pools and is very quiet.
I am a bit of a research geek and I spent a good deal of time searching condos on Maui, we made the perfect choice!

We've been renting with VRBO for many years, and this is one of the best rentals we've stayed in. The view is wonderful, beds comfortable, and it was very clean. The condo is stocked with every amenity you might need. Kitchenware and utensils, spices, tupperware for the beach, beach gear, towels- you name it. We loved the complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and use of hair dryers. They also left a very generous supply of paper towels, toilet paper and tissue which was appreciated. We were very comfortable in this condo. The neighbors were lovely and the access to great beaches and Wailea shopping was perfect.

We had a great time here! Communicate was great. The place was lovely... all the units in this condo complex have a similar layout and this unit was especially comfortable. We loved how easy the hosts were to work with, the snorkel gear, and the ac in each room (though you don't need it too much with the windows open). Would stay here again!

My children and I stayed here for 6 glorious days (which was not long enough!) There were 4 of us in total - 2 adults and 2 teens. Franca & David were accessible prior to our trip out and answered any questions we had upon check out. They updated us with what we needed for our arrival.
When my family and I walked into the condo.. cue the ooooh's and ahhh's...we were beyond happy!!. We had a treat waiting for us which was very thoughtful. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The pictures on the site do not do it justice. Being able to see that view all day was a treat in itself.The condo has anything and everything you need. It's clean, things are marked with instructions which was lovely, fully stocked kitchen .... you name it, it's there. The breeze that came through the condo was just glorious. We would play music from the stereo, open the balcony doors... heaven! The bonus was all the beach toys chairs umbrella, snorkel gear and bags. There was even a backpack cooler! The beach is walking distance which we loved! The condo location was also perfect!
The property itself is manicured, clean and even tho we are not early birds, the roosters were the best touch which helped us get up with the sun to enjoy every single second possible. Driving out of the complex has a glorious view. We also took advantage of the pools.
My family and I will definitely be coming back to our new home away from home. Thank you Franca & David for making our trip that much more memorable.

From the price and communication to the ocean view location, everything about this property is five stars. You will LOVE it! A beautiful beach is a two minute stroll from the perfectly located and luxuriously appointed condo unit. We were delighted to sit on the patio and gaze out over the ocean and West Maui. That breeze and the sound of the ocean… magic! Literally everything you need to enjoy your vacation is available at your finger tips (kitchen, bathrooms, recreational equipment) The owners have gone out of their way to provide anything you might need for the beach or for exploring. It felt like being at a friend’s house and anything you asked to borrow was right there. We were three generations (Grandpa, Mom and two teen boys) and the place had something for all of us. We will definitely visit here again!

I could go on…as a Hawaii lover for over 40 years, this condo is top notch and I would highly recommend….

The sunsets from the lanai are only better at the beaches of course. It’s such a beautiful view. We really enjoyed the space- beautifully decorated Hawaiian style, plenty of supplies, pools and spa available. Free parking. You can walk to a lot of places in Kihei and just across the road to the beach. We were greeted with some Hawaiian treats and that was a nice touch. Beautiful photos in the home, lots of suggestions for food and activities in the home guide. We would come and stay again with our kids.

This property was perfect for our family! Kids (18,15,14) absolutely loved the space and options. Having an abundance of towels, kitchen needs, beach chairs, towels etc made it so ideal. Location was perfect as we could be Accessible to anywhere we wanted to go and wasn’t far away. Appreciated all questions being answered, very clear instructions on everything. I don’t even know where to begin as everything was wonderful for our family of 6. The location was perfect with Kam III beach right across the street. The condo was well stocked with boogie boards and snorkeling gear that we used often. It was nice not having to bring those along for the trip. The location is close to many shops and restaurants so often we would walk for coffee or for dinner. If we didn’t want to go to the beach, we would spend the afternoon at the pool. The condo was quiet and we appreciated the reserved parking spot. The condo is well furnished with towels and toiletries. If we could change anything, it would be a firmer king mattress for the room in the loft. Thanks for a great stay. I know we will be back!

We spent four nights at this property and it was perfect for our family. We have a family of five with three young children. The property was well-maintained and had upgraded appliances and television. Also came with the Xbox which my kids loved. The view of the ocean is incredible from the balcony. The location os perfect as you are right near the best town in Maui, with great restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay here again.

Location was great - at the south end of Kihei out of the bustle, but still close to great restaurants and easy access to Wailea.
Condo was really well stocked with everything we needed - beach toys, snorkel sets, beach chairs, etc. Kitchen had everything you could ask for and even reusable water bottles - very impressed with how well it was outfitted. Unit was clean, beds were comfortable. I will definitely recommend this spot to friends!
The only issue for our family was how steep the stairs were up to the unit and up to the loft bedroom. This isn't a knock on the property or manager, just a heads up for other families that may have mobility challenges that they are considering when looking to book a place. We have a child with CP that uses a walker and the stairs were steeper than we typically encounter and was a challenge for her to navigate safely. Shouldn't be an issue for most families, but was a challenge for ours and generally the property was designed before ADA considerations (all of the paths around the property had steps that made navigation in a wheelchair, stroller or walker impossible).

We have stayed at Maui Kamaole numerous times and this is the absolute best unit overall that we have stayed in. So many extras that you don’t need to buy at Costco, everything for the beach experience, gorgeous view and fast response from owners with any issues. This is a real find and we will book again and soon!

We rented this gorgeous condo for 3 weeks and wow, it was amazing! The owners have renovated it very tastefully with high quality products. The condo itself is thoughtfully appointed and guests are greeted with a bottle of pineapple wine and mac nuts. The lanai has an incredible view of the ocean and we were able to see whales frolicking. The check-in process was well organized. We had a bit of trouble with the door locks and the response from the property manager, as well as the owner was very prompt and the problem was quickly resolved. Whether you’re a family or a couple, this condo will offer everything you will need , plus things you didn’t know you needed!
We would rent this condo again in a heartbeat!

I was traveling with 3 adults and 2 8 year olds and this place was loved by all of us. We really appreciated the on-site laundry and that the house was stocked with everything we needed. The boogie boards were perfect for a beach day across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was centrally located to excellent beaches in Kihei and Wailea, and the sunrise and sunset views were both spectacular. 2 best buddies that graduated high school, were lucky enough to have there moms bring them to Maui for a graduation gift. Great place that gave us plenty of room to cook and visit, yet space enough to have our private time as well! Plenty of water toys, coolers, snorkeling, etc. supplies! Well stocked kitchen with sharp knives! We had an issue with a smoke detector that went off every morning. We called and they came to fix it! Very comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean place. Would stay here again!

We came to Maui in mid September for a wedding. We really enjoyed this place. It had everything you needed. It was very well equipped from kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and beach supplies. The view in the balcony is breathtaking. We were able to watch the sunset every night. The place is also clean and updated. Are family had a great time!

We were lucky enough to arrive between 2 different hurricanes threatening the islands and had great weather our entire stay. We enjoyed coffee on the lanai every morning soaking in the amazing ocean view. The condo is exactly like it was portrayed in the pictures including a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable furniture and beds and a very homey feel. It is located near many great beaches which we took advantage of every day. We were able to have many turtle sightings including a couple occasions where they randomly swam up near us and stuck their head out of the water while we were just in the water cooling off! I would highly recommend staying in H209 and hope to get an opportunity to stay again! Mahalo!

The unit was amazing! We had everything we needed even with Hurricane Lane Category 5 hurricane sending a massive storm to the islands. Here in South Kihei we were able to go to the beach every day and swim in the ocean. We got occasional rain but nothing more than light rain. Planning a trip to the dry side of the island really paid off and we will be back to this beautiful unit soon. Mahalo for an amazing and safe condo.

The condo was beautifully updated, we especially loved the artwork, with nice amenities and a fully stocked beach "goodies" closet. The configuration, with 2 separate beds in the downstairs room, was perfect for us--a family travelling with 2 young kids, and the lanai was a perfect place to top off the day with a sunset. The condo grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pools are very nice; we liked the upper family pool best. The location was a good jumping off point for exploring the island, beach going, and convenient for shopping as well. Our only minor complaint is about all of the condo complex "rules"--these were given to us beforehand, a reminder sheet at check-in, and posted all over the grounds. While we didn't have any issues, it was a little less relaxing to have to continually be aware of noise in the condo (no a/c after 10, which could be a problem in the hotter parts of the year) and at the pool (even our kids kept asking if they were being too loud). Nothing to do with David, Franca, or Kelly, who were all great. Overall, a wonderful place and we would definitely stay here again.

Many great comments have been left regarding H209 and I will echo them all.
The pictures of the unit in the listing are exactly what you get so there shouldn’t be any big surprises for anyone. The 2nd bedroom is a loft and any noise from the living room below can be heard above. The AC units work very well to bring the temps down at night. It has been remodelled very nicely and is more comfortable that most “big business” resort villas that we’ve stayed at. Two major things that stand out in my mind:
- Communications from David and Franca are 1st rate - I think they must have a phone by them at all times. From booking through to the stay they were quick and prompt to reply, which counts for a lot to me as someone with a busy schedule. They informed us the dishwasher was broken on our arrival and promptly had it replaced two days later so as to not inconvenience us, with lots of communication to arrange a time to do so. We also had to call them to reset a door lock and because the code locks are internet enabled - they were able to remotely reset them instantly.
- The attention to little details shows that this is someone’s home and not just a investment property run by a property manager. The kitchen plugs have USB ports. There’s a pineapple corer in the cupboard. The fridge has an ice maker and filtered water. There are spices and lots of little food stuffs that haven’t been plundered by the cleaning crew like at other places. I think I saw a booster pack in case your car battery dies. All these little things were noticed and appreciated by me.
The only negatives are of no fault of the owners. As mentioned by other commenters, the HOA here has a “No Fun” policy at the pools that forbids inflatable items and any games that make noise (ie Marco Polo). Noodles and flotation devices for kids are permitted though. Also - the complex is on a hill and has a flight of stairs to get to the unit - so keep that in mind if you are mobility impaired or have a heavy stroller that you have to lug around.
This was a great experience and we certainly hope to return to this property in the future. Mahalo.

While it's difficult to mess up a trip to magical Maui, staying at this lovely unit made our first time in Hawaii just perfect. Aside from the missing guest book - totally not a big deal! - we can say nothing bad about this place. Franca was very communicative from the beginning, emailing clear access instructions (the keypad means no keys to lose on the beach or dig for at the bottom of a bag - awesome!) and a thorough info packet as well as answering a few questions I had before arrival.
The unit itself is clean, comfy, updated (beautiful bathrooms and kitchen), and such a convenient launch pad for Kiehi and beyond. Totally possible to walk to a new Kiehi dinner spot every night. The open, two-floor/loft-style layout makes the space feel much bigger than it is. Multiple decks would provide good areas for alone time if traveling with a larger group. Parking is easy and close, i.e. minimal lugging of beach paraphernalia to and from the car.
Every morning we enjoyed coffee, breakfast, and some reading from the large, breezy lanai overlooking the water before quickly popping down to Kam III beach with a medley of provided gear in tow (chairs, boogie boards, masks and snorkels, umbrellas - you name it and it's in the gear closet!). The complex itself is pristine and very quiet, with a warmed pool perfect for a bit more post-sunset fun; many families took advantage of this space for grilling dinners. Private grills, which we used, are also scattered around the property, including right around the corner from the unit. The kitchen has everything you need (a better $20 Costco non-stick fry pan wouldn't hurt), bed and pillows are just right, and lounging around on the plush sofa for a movie with the evening air blowing in couldn't have been any more relaxing.
We scoured countless Kiehi properties before booking this place and are so glad this is where we ended up - could not recommend it any more highly! The next time we stay in Kiehi, this is where we'll be!
