Thank you Dorothy for the stay in your beautiful condo. We were two couples staying at the condo and suites us perfectly. We spent a lot of time out on the lanai as it was peaceful and private with a beautiful garden and Frankolin birds came to visit us often - don’t worry we did not feed them ! The waterfall pool was equally serene. The condo was well stocked with everything we could want and need for our days at the beach. It was also great having the wash/dryer in the condo. Only improvement could be some serving platters and a few more coffee cups and glasses. We would recommend staying here

Excellent location in Kihei! Property is exactly as described, well appointed with all the amenities feels like we were staying in our own home. Very safe and secure location - the property staff make their rounds in a low profile way that is reassuring. Chatted with the staff a few times, very aloha. A few comments seemed disappointed about the size of the second bedroom but we found it to be adequate and the closet and the there is a small dresser in the room and another one just outside the room. Plenty of storage for a vacation rental. Both bathrooms are spacious , actually the entire condo is spacious. The host Dorothy is amazing, very kind and responsive to my dumb and obvious questions! The complex ground are well maintained and the waterfall pool is comfortable and relaxing, they even have wifi available at the pool. Everything we need in a Maui vacation rental this place has. True we did hear people in the unit above walking around a bit but it's really minimal and I only mention this because of previous posts and was not an issue. The unit has 3 air conditioners, one in each room and one in the main living room, but we actually only turned them on once ( in August!) just to cool down for a minute. We were comfortable enough to leave the double door wall open all the time and with the windows open, ceiling fans and the box fan we were comfortable and a/c wasn't needed. If you are looking for a comfortable and spacious place close to the beach the condo is perfect!

We just returned from a 2 week stay in Dorothy's wonderful unit at Maui Kamaole. The unit is beautifully decorated, comfortable, quiet, everything is as it is described by Dorothy-who by the way is very responsive and helpful!. The unit is very large and we enjoyed our meals outside everyday listening to the birds and watching the geckoes and lizards. We also loved how close the waterfall pool was to the unit, just a quick walk, also nice weber barbeques and outside seating was available around the property.
Beaches, views, restaurants, shops are all within walking distance. Also, beaches south are a very short drive. We normally experienced 2 beaches a day. We took advantage of the small cooler and beach chairs provided. Favorite beaches were Elua and Maluaka. Take a stroll along the beachfront walkway from Elua Beach to The Shops at Wailea....beautiful.
Please don't cancel your trip to Maui. We arrived the day of the worst disaster in the history of the island....the people, despite the devastation and facing more loss than we can imagine, welcomed us with real aloha spirit and on more than one occasion thanked us for staying, helping to keep local businesses/restaurants/food trucks operating while they start to recover and rebuild their Lahaina Ohana.

The property was conveniently located to the beach. The kitchen & bathrooms were stocked with the essentials. The place was clean and decorated to match the calm & peaceful environment. The parking was right in front of the condo.
Although there was street construction that limited entry or exiting during the day, my family and I enjoyed our stay.

This place is so cute and in a beautiful area. It is a spacious condo compared to others. We had another party stay elsewhere and when they stopped by, they were amazed at how spacious it was compared to theirs. The people here were friendly too.
We took fishing rods and were so lucky because had the rocks by the boat docks right across the street from the condo. It was a perfect location to catch and release. You could see the fishes from the top of the rocks.
We had plenty of towels; bath towels and beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked. The only thing I would suggest is to have better pillows. The pillows provided (in the guest room) were flat and not comfortable.
Dorothy was very responsive too. We had trouble finding detergent to wash the towels and she immediately resolved the issue for us. Overall we had a great experience here, it was so green and beautiful, shops/restaurants near by, and plenty of beaches in the area.

Pros:
- Nice and clean.
- Close to the beach.
- Parking right in front of the condo.
Cons:
- Second room is not a bedroom, very small, have to put the suitcases in the family room, doesn’t have a closet. Not convenient for couple because the bathroom is outside in the hallway.
- Not quiet for light sleepers, can hear the foot steps upstairs and the neighbor bathroom’s vent.

Very nice property, about 10 minute walk to the beach. Pools were nice. Everything was well maintained. The kitchen is updated and we appreciated the spices in the kitchen as well. It was also nice to have pool noodles and beach toys in the condo. The 6 of us were very comfortable. Dorothy was extremely responsive when we had any questions.

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. We had lots of room, and being on the ground floor was nice. It would have helped to warn there there were stairs heading to the pool as we had a stroller for the babies. It was also a bit of an uphill push from the beach back to the condo. The beach right at the bottom on the unit by the boat launch was awesome for kids. Lots of fun and we would return.

Pros: Location was great, but mostly chose because my brother lives in the complex. Property was well maintained. Condo was clean and well stocked with beach towels and chairs, laundry soap, sun screen, kitchen well stocked etc...
Price seemed fair.
Cons: Condo is dated, needs new bedroom pillows, some electrical outlet wouldn't hold a plug and second bedroom was very small with no windows, no closet or dresser in room. Would be fine for kids not so much for adult couple. May not be relevant but our milk soured within 3 days in the frig (both milk and half and half creamer). Could be frig or just quality of milk in Maui.

Maui Kamaloe is the place to stay in Maui! The grounds are lush and looked after professionally. The two pools are clean and usually not that busy, (ocean is to close to spend at the pool). The unit is well within walking distance to the ocean and small shops for souvenirs. Parking is provided right outside your door. The unit has everything required to spend time at the beach for your children or adults - beach chairs, towels, snorkel equipment, sand toys. Definitely look forward to a return trip.

This unit is ideally located on the island. A short drive from many attractions. The condo is quite large and spacious. The beach goodies (umbrellas, chairs, and more) were a bonus and very much appreciated! The only downfall was the master bedroom bed. It was loud and the mattress quality was average at best. Otherwise, I’d give it 5 stars.

This is a great property. The two bedrooms plus the pull-out sofa worked great for our stay. Nice having two bathrooms also with our group of five. Enjoyed being able to have meals at the condo and not have to eat out all the time. Close to great beaches. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, snorkel equipment and boogie board were supplied at the condo and very much appreciated. Love staying in the south Kihei area.

We had a wonderful time there at the Maui Kamaole. Our host was certainly one of the best we've had on any of our travels. The condo was perfect for our family of 4, having 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. The master bathroom was more than spacious with plenty of counter space, drawers, and 2 sinks. The other bathroom (the kids used) had a very nice standup shower.
The open front room/kitchen with a sizable breakfast bar and dining table were very ideal for family time. The kitchen was in top working order with counter tops that I'd love to have at home; it included a charging station for cellphones, etc. The floors from the front door into the front room/kitchen were tiled; the floors were easy clean up throughout the apartment.
The decor throughout was beautiful... Great choices added to the ambience. Washer and dryer were sizable, beach towels/chairs, small cooler... All great accommodations.
Also, the back patio was a great spot to sit in the morning and have coffee before starting the day... Nicely shaded throughout the day. The condo was located near the back of the complex and away from busy roads... Nice and quiet. Lastly, the pool area was a perfect evening downtime for the kids.
I highly recommend staying here. It's close to some great beaches and Kihei is right down the street. Mahalo!!

This place was in a perfect spot. Spent just shy of two weeks here. 5 minute drive to Kamaole Beach Park I which turned out to be our favorite beach. Less than a 10 minute drive from almost everything in Kihei. Having all the utensils, pots/pans, plates, beach equipment was a huge benefit. The pools were a bonus for the kids on the days when the ocean waves were too intense for them. We stayed with a 7, 3, and 1 year old. It was great for our 6 guests we had. Kihei seemed central to every location we wanted to go. It cut down on our trips to Southern Maui, Kaanapali area, Road to Hana, and the mountain sunset. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maui.

We love visiting Maui, and we love staying at Maui Kamaole. The grounds and facilities are outstanding. During our one-week vacation we did the following, all of which we enjoyed thoroughly and recommend highly: Kai Kanani Molokini Snorkeling Tour, Old Lahaina Luau, Maui Ocean Center, Kamaole Beach III, Keawakapu Beach, Ulua Beach, Makena Beach, Cafe O'lei, Nutcharee's Thai, South Shore Tiki Lounge, and Pita Paradise. The condo unit was comfortable in every respect. We enjoyed breakfasts on the patio. It was a delightful week.

The condo overall was nice and a lovely holiday getaway; but we were disappointed in the size of the guest room (it was a lot smaller than anticipated) and had no window. Lounges on the outside patio would be a definite plus. The private lanai (off the master bedroom) was also a lot smaller than expected. There were also 2 separate occasions, upon our returning from being out, that service staff were parked in our reserved spot (and we had a family member who cannot walk far distances with us).

Dorothy lives up to her name as a SUPERHOST. 10 out of 10 for communication and kindness. Check in was a breeze. Parking spot was nice close and convenient to the unit. Just a minute walk away from the waterfall pool which makes you feel like you are in a tropical oasis. The unit was clean as can be. Lots of towels and the laundry was a definite must with 3 kids. All the dishes and spices we needed as well were included. The kids enjoyed the each toys and boogie boards. As the adults enjoyed the hard shell drink cooler and beach chairs. The back patio was a perfect spot for a morning coffee and a nice evening dinner with the birds chirping. We did have a couple extra little lizard guests try and move in through the patio door but we were able to catch them quickly. Those little guys are everywhere around ere but they are harmless as can be. We are sad to be leaving but when we are ready for another Maui vacation we would definetly be booking with Dorothy again. Thank you for a wonderful stay in paradise!

We were thrilled to be back in Maui and had a great trip. This condo location is very handy to Kihei and Wailea. It is comfortable and quiet. Dorothy was instantly responsive when we had an issue with the door code and resolved the problem. If you are looking for new and shiney this isn't what you'll get but I like the relaxed feel of the place. The hall closets could use a little clean out of broken beach stuff and owner stuff. All in all we had a really great time.

Loved the location of this condo near Wailea, south end of Kihei. Easy access to many venues. Located up on a hill with a lovely walk to the beach. The area was quiet. Parking was just across from the front door to the condo. Close locations to the complex grills which always seemed clean and in good shape. The condo was roomy with plenty of storage and a lovely lanai. Air conditioners worked well. Plenty of beach equipment: chairs, umbrellas, coolers. We would definitely book again.

We enjoyed our stay. Charges for beach towels without warning that we washed and were left inside the dryer of the unit in the condo. Dorothy reversed the charges, but then I was charged again without notice or comment.

The two bedroom unit has great space. The master bed is very uncomfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed which is awesome. We were very disappointed in the pools as our children couldn’t play at a normal child level in a pool without security coming by due to complaints. Ridiculous to tell kids to be quiet in a pool at 6 pm!! Also. Followed check in instructions only to be told to check in differently. Annoying when I don’t want to be on a computer on vacation.

Please make sure you get an email from Property Manager on what Unit you are going in and specific key instructions, not just a VRBO email w subject line: "Here are your keys to Kihei" -- check in at Front desk. Ok, check-in day, front desk is unable to find my reservation, waited for 30 mins and finally got a call from VRBO host. Right away, Dorothy "scolded" me to read my email, that I have to learn how to open attachments. I asked her to email me again, she reiterated, that she is sure she already sent but sure, she will send again. She gave me info on phone. I have to scramble to find a pen, she states, it is very easy to remember. Just very condescending. The interaction is not great at first. She called back after 10 mins, she apologized that email failed to send, but not how she talks to me. On her defense, she probably is not aware, but I saw some reviews about how she talks to guest. I think just being nice at first encounter helps, especially if your guest are just coming from long flight, long drive and just wants to rest.
Property is nice. Close to a lot of shops, drive to beach in less than 5 minutes. You can walk there too, but it might take long. The second bedroom looks like it is only a bonus room, no closet space there. This property is good for a family with small children, because kids will be able to fit in 2nd bedroom. Property have boogie board and life vest, so no need to bring your own. You need to read all the instructions on this property.

The property was great and location wonderful. Trip was good with one exception. Towels that were already stained but we were accused of staining them and we got charged. We were there for a funeral and only there 3 days. We didn't even use all the towels, etc. Some of the display towels were already stained to the point we were wondering "why would they use dirty stained towels for a display?" The owner was rigid and didn't care. Didn't even consider it could have been the cleaning crew covering for something they did. Regardless, we were charged. She was very rude about the whole things which is what really upset us.

This property was absolutely perfect for our stay in Kihei. It is located within a 5 minute walk from the beach and a nice park where lots of families gathered each evening to watch the beautiful sunset. The property is quiet, clean, equipped and located perfectly which allows for easy day trips to the other side of the island, or just a quick pop over to one of the many beaches in the area. There are two nice bedrooms. Traveling with a 1 & 2 year old can be overwhelming given all the things one may need to pack. Dorothy cut back on some of this burden by providing a pack N play, sand toys, beach towels, chairs, information about grocery delivery/ordering (huge time saver upon arrival) and more. The backyard is nice and includes a 4 seater patio table to enjoy the rise of the morning. Dorothy is responsive, kind and helpful. We hope to stay again the next time we’re in the area.

Maui Kamaole has lovely grounds. The waterfall pool was simply beautiful and one of our favorite places to be near our condo. Our host was very accommodating and responsive. Wonderful stay!
