Stayed at this property with my husband, toddler and infant. Perfect for family with small children. Tall ceilings and nice furnishings/appliances. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped for both toddler (floaties and kitchen utensils) and infant (high chair and pack n play), which was much appreciated! The pool area was quiet and great for families with young kids. Short walk to the beach if you want. We separately rented a wagon/pool toys to transport things down to the pool and it was super easy. Agreed with other reviewers that the building is hard to find due to lack of signage in the complex. Will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit!

Our family stayed for a week. We loved the property, location, and amenities. It was clean, well appointed, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. If you didn’t want to make a drive into town for groceries, there’s a market just a few blocks away in the resort square.
The beach was just a short walk away through the pool/clubhouse area which was quiet and not crowded.
The only thing we would improve is the queen sized mattress in the master bedroom has sunken/sagging.
Despite that, we would absolutely stay here again!

When I booked the listing, I didn't realize how close it was to so many things. The beach club was a block and a half away. Two amazing pools and also with direct beach access. Lots of great restaurants and shops that were close. The condo itself was great and the hosts were super responsive to questions. All in all a great spot and I would totally stay here again if we come back to Waikoloa.

Our stay at the Villa de Aloha was the perfect ending of our visit to the Big Island. It provided a comfortable and relaxing final five days for our 11-day trip. EJ was very accommodating of our needs and extremely responsive to our email and text messages. The condo is set up with the visitor in mind with clear labeling of cabinets, switches and general instructions. The unit is large, clean and spacious and in excellent shape. Highly recommend this unit and location if looking for convenient access to both the pool and beach.

This place was perfect for our family of 5: Husband and I, twin 6 yr olds + my mom. So comfortable and spacious, with updated amenities. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Proximity to the pool with a great view of the sunset by the beach. Husband and I could do our morning workout swims in the bay easily. Pool was nice (though a tad bit warm), having pool towels there was a bonus. The condo itself provided enough beach and bath towels. Huge washing machine which helped for our family.

If you want to be close to a beach yet have a stunning place to hang out poolside, this is the place for.you. comfortable beds and super clean.
The only thing I can fault this unit for is on hot days the air conditioner doesn't quite keep cool enough in the spare bedroom for sleeping, there is a fan which helps. We never opened the lanai doors for that reason. We rented a golf cart and really enjoyed cruizin' all over in it.

We had a very nice stay at this unit. I was worried about previous reviews mentioning questionable cleanliness but that certainly wasn’t the case during our stay. The renting management company assured me that the carpets, etc were thoroughly cleaned and indeed they were. I was really impressed with how soft the carpet was as a matter of fact. Beds were comfortable, unit was spacious, kitchen had everything you need, loved the beach gear and location was great. Happy we picked this place for our stay!

We stayed in 6D for 4 nights. The house was very nice and spacious for 2 couples. The open concept of the kitchen/living room and lanai were very nice. Even though we were on the ground level, we were able to see the water since there was an empty lot across the street. We happened to be there during an Ironman Competition (women only). We were warned on the first day that the road would be closed for the day but it was a great excuse to hang out and snorkel at the beautiful bay. It was awesome to go up to road and see these incredible women go past us on their bikes. We were very happy with our stay and hope to be able to visit again soon.

This was our 6th time staying in the Kolea Landing condos and in this bock of units. 2F was great and a perfect place to bring new friends to the island. We had some minor issues with the AC but the property manager was on it fast and took care of the issue. Sitting out on the lanai and watching the sun come up is our favorite thing about this floorplan and the walks around A-Bay and the fish ponds is a daily treat.

We loved the location of this condo. It was nice to have access to coolers, beach wagon, boogie boards, beach towels and beach chairs since we were traveling as a family. The lanai was really nice and we cooked many meals while staying at this property. There was a used diaper in one of the laundry bins when we arrived, therefore gave it 4 stars for cleanliness, otherwise it was very clean. The dryer did have some difficulty operating due to an error message, but we were able to get it working. Love being able to do laundry while away so that arrival at home is easy, without loads of work to do. The front bedroom doesn’t get as cool using the AC as the back master bedroom, definitely recommend the use of a fan.

The overall Kolea property is beautiful and the location is primo! Wonderful outdoor kitchen on the balcony, and the quietness. No ice maker in the fridge but there is an ice machine on property at the pool. Customer service proved to be a detractor for this particular property, building 14, unit F when we reported the filthy stained master bedroom carpeting, dust build up on the vents and a toilet maintenance issue. None of these issues were addressed after we reported these items to customer service.

We made breakfast here daily and grilled steaks on the lanai for dinner. The unit is filthy. The owners or property management are not doing their job of which we paid as part of our stay. Carpeting filthy, lani tile sticky in areas. Dining room chairs filthy. Wondered why bathroom smelled, toilet bowl brush had poop and toilet paper stuck to brush and the liquid in the brush holder was disgusting. AC in main bedroom not working well. Probably clogged vents restricting air flow. The ceiling in the living room near the vent is black with dust. Went to Resortica Hawaii office near complex. When I told them I was staying in unit 16b they asked how was everything. I told them it was filthy. Their response “. Oh thank you for that feedback we need to hear those things. I will let our manager know.” No one called or contacted us, zip, nothing. Walls dirty and need painting. This is not just bad housekeeping. This has been going on for some time for the place to look like this. Yet they charge all these fees and you pay top dollar and don’t get what you pay for. My advice don’t rent this unit. I’ll be requesting reimbursement.

We recently spent a wonderful week in Waikoloa staying in the Kolea 16H condo. With 2 big en-suite bedrooms, it was perfect for me and my wife and her brother. The condo was roomy with a big kitchen, living room and lanai. The clothes dryer was helpful for drying wet bathing suits and towels. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub at the nearby Kolea Beach Club, which provides easy access to Waikoloa beach. Kolea is close to several restaurants and a grocery store, which was handy for stocking up on food and beverages. We also swam with the dolphins at the nearby Hilton. We recommend Kolea for a vacation on the sunny side of the big island of Hawaii.

Beds, sheets and pillows are very comfortable. Plenty of towels.
Dishwasher was not working but owner warned us in advance and provided disposable dishes and made other accommodations for us like letting us check in early.
Kitchen is adequately stocked. Knives are adequate but vegetable peeler is useless. BBQ works great and was clean. Shower knobs a little hard to figure out but shower was good. Wifi great. Two beach chairs provided were nice touch. Overall we’d come back and would have liked to stay longer.

The condo exceeded our expectations. It was well-equipped with good beach chairs and beach bags to carry our stuff. The bed had a good, comfortable mattress and foam pillows. The kitchen had good quality, sharp knives and plenty of glassware. There was a nice pool with easy beach access to an uncrowded beach. We especially appreciated the reserved, covered parking space. Our only quibble is really more with the development as a whole. There are no street lights and the lava rock pillars that have the building label signs have no lights. So if you will be arriving at night, bring a flashlight as you will need it to identify your building. Likewise, the pillar that holds the keypad to the car entry gate is not lighted. The keypad will light when you touch the first button, but you will need a flashlight to see it initially.I can definitely recommend this unit and would stay here again.

Very disappointing. The “Lazy River” was not what one would expect…no tubes or currents. The main kid friendly pool was full of adults spilling their drinks into water. There was very little shade and it was hot! Unless you were prepared to pay $150 for a 2 seated shaded lounger. Never again!

The Kolea condo development was excellent with great access to the beach and an awesome pool area. Shawn was quick to communicate and very helpful. Unfortunately, the condo itself was lacking in several ways. The furniture was older and more worn out than we had anticipated. The whole unit needed some extra cleaning and TLC.

This property was even more beautiful in person. The layout was perfect for 4 adults and one child. We loved that each room had a king sized bed and more than enough space to move around and that the rooms were far apart from each other. The rental had all the items we needed from cutlery, to appliances, and extra bedding and toiletries. We loved the beach club - the pools were amazing! The direct beach access was a definite plus. The view from the lanai was beautiful - a very calming place to drink coffee/tea in the early morning hours. All in all, an amazing place to stay. Can't wait to come back again.The only negative was that the house was not ready at the check-in time. The cleaning staff needed almost a full hour to finish cleaning but we made the most of that time hanging out at the beach club. The cleaning crew did a wonderful job though. The house was immaculate!

First visit to the Big Island. Our little spot in Waikoloa was the perfect location between Mauna Kea and Kona. It is also a nice jump off point for trips to Hilo or Volcanos NP. It is a bit of a drive to the park but worth it tosee the youngest, most active volcano. The Lava Tube was pretty cool as well. The unit was well appointed with most things you will need. The spices could use a refresh and enhancement We only made a couple of meals, so it was bearable. The pool was close and very nice. The on-site staff at the pool was very nice and kept the place tidy. If we were to go back to the big island, we would certainly stay here again.

We had a nice stay at this property, which was conveniently located in the Kolea buildings in Waikoloa. It was spacious, well-furnished and nicely equipped, including a closet with beach gear for all ages. The lockbox check in process was easy. It's a pretty large condo complex and our unit was similar to the one that our friends rented nearby; they have the feel of timeshare units designed for all of the comforts of home. The beach was a fairly calm bay that would be perfect for smaller kids. Primary beach access is through the Kolea pool, and we found ourselves using the pool as much as at the beach. The location was good in it was a reasonable walk to nearby shops (largely upscale clothing and tourist fare). If you cook a lot we'd recommend skipping the nearby grocery in favor of the 10-minute drive to Foodland Farms in Waimea.

The condo is very clean and well maintained, with lots of space for a family. The Kolea swimming pool and hot-tub are excellent; 'Anaeho'omalu Beach, which has amazing sunsets, is just a short three minute walk from the pool area. The Hilton Pool Pass was an added bonus, and we enjoyed their pool and lagoon. We visited Hapuna Beach one day, and enjoyed using the boogie boards which were available in the garage. Close to shopping and restaurants at King's Marketplace. We would certainly stay here again.

Great location and amenities. Top notch appliances and cooking utensils. The carpet and floors are really dirty and had to lay towels down to sit on the floor. The dinning room chairs are also really dirty. The place needs a good scrubbing. All that said we had a good time and other units we have stayed at are normally clean.

This was such a phenomenal place to make our temporary home base for a Hawaiian adventure! So many thoughtful and convenient touches - from a very well stocked kitchen to a cooler you can take to the beach to many, many beach toys to great recommendations for things to do that were appropriate and enjoyable for our whole fam. The pool is lovely and a quick walk from the condo - and we loved watching the sunset at A Bay! Our hosts were communicative and kind. Cannot say enough nice things and hope to stay again!

Nice property, very clean and comfy. Good location, easy walk to the pool/hot tub, beach, and shopping. The older people appreciated the ground floor. And we all appreciated all the beach supplies. Had a wonderful week.
