This 3 bedroom condo was very spacious, spotless clean, and beautifully decorated. The pool area was never crowded, you always had lots of chairs to pick from, the sand bottom hot tub was a big hit and dining outdoors poolside in the evening under the umbrellas with little lanterns on your table was so special. Everyone was welcoming. We loved the more quiet surroundings compared to larger resorts. Do know that the pool area closes earlier then most other resorts at 8pm. Also know you will not get check in information or door codes until your unit is clean and ready. The owner was wonderful and had direct communication with us via text which came in handy. The unit was well stocked and made our stay super easy, they even had a closet full of beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards and towels so we didn't have to go rent or buy them. Thank you for making this such a memorable, easy and comfortable stay! Highly recommend!

What an amazing location and property! Central to everything we wanted to see and do while on the west side of the island. Take advantage of the walking path along the coast while you are there! The unit was clean and well stocked, we enjoyed every moment.

Place was great plenty of room for the 8 of us. Pool was nice not too deep but great view. The hot tub at the pool was great it has a sand bottom so was different from but very nice. Food at the Ocean Club was great we ate there 3 times. Price is similar to local restaurants but more convient. Location is central for the Waikoloa area so easy access to shops and restaurants. Overall amazing stay and will keep on the list of places to return too.

Stayed for a week with 5 adults using all 3 bedrooms. Location is right on the water and near the quiet end of the waterfront (i.e. away from the pool and club restaurant/bar). The property is exactly as represented in the pictures, there were no surprises and the unit was very clean on arrival. We enjoyed the upper lanai off the master bedroom the most, more comfortable furniture and better view of the water & sunsets. We used the beach chairs and boogie boards provided at the condo, and we certainly enjoyed the dolphins that came by for several days. Would definitely stay at this unit again if we need 3 bedrooms. Overall it was a terrific unit. For those who may not be familiar with Halii Kai, there is a very nice pool area you can see in the pictures along with bar and restaurant. A few things about the pool: the deepest point is 4 feet, so great for kids and maybe a little shallow for adults. There are no umbrellas, so finding a shady chair is near impossible. The restaurant serves amazing food and drinks served by an amazing staff. You cannot go to Halii Kai without lunch and/or dinners at the Ocean Club. This is such a special amenity and it should not be missed.

Check in was easy - I stopped by the property before check in to drop off my bags and the owner was super nice about it. Paying for the resort fee / parking was kind of a pain just because I thought it was at the pool area but it was actually at a little building by the gate. Beautiful condo, beautiful community. Very quiet. The pool is really nice. View from the pool / restaurant area is amazing. I wish there had been some sandy beach access, but I knew before booking that it was a rocky/cliffy ocean view so I wasn't upset about it. Great vacation!

This was THE best home in which we’ve stayed in all our years of traveling. So beautifully decorated with all the things you’d need including lots of fans and lots of extra hangers!! Having 2 Lanai’s was perfect as the one off the master gave my husband and I a perfect outside area to lounge, away from the rest of our guests. There was awesome shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each shower and lots of towels, extra pillows, blankets, etc. The kitchen was very well stocked with both indoor and outdoor plates/cups, etc. There was NEVER a time where I thought that I needed something and they didn’t have it. I needed a straw, they had a straw. I needed nail polish remover, they had nail polish remover and that happened over and over again. Steve and Marianne were so accommodating and even let me send a package to the house prior to my arrival. We would absolutely book with them again and again bc they really know how to decorate and stock a home for a comfortable carefree holiday in a gorgeous surroundings. Highly HIGHLY recommend!!

Five stars across the board. Two lava rock paths to different beaches (A Bay and Black Sand Beach) are right outside your backyard, with amazing sunset and ocean views. Steps away from the Ocean Club pool & restaurant. We honeymooned here and will be renting exclusively this unit for any future trips. It was comfortable, fully stocked with kitchen and cooking supplies, and owned by the most responsive, kind, and considerate hosts. Cannot recommend 15B enough! Do yourself a favor and book this unit!

The Halii Kai is a very nice resort. We have stayed here a couple of times. The ocean front 3bd was perfect for us. Views of the ocean from most rooms and Mountain View’s from the other two bedrooms. The proximity to the pool is ideal and they have a nice bar and restaurant. Highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Waikoloa. Very quiet and relaxing!

The condo was perfectly place for all our activities. The pool area was a nice add for days when we stayed put. The family enjoyed the pool and gym areas. Music on the weekend while taking in the sunset with its beautiful ocean views was amazing. Travel to the volcano park was easy, as well as to various beaches for snorkeling. Being just outside Kalia-Kona we had ample grocery options.

We had a wonderful one-week stay in our Hali'i Kai beachfront condominium rental. The owner, Mark Mavis, was very responsive and the unit was very well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The bag of coffee and box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts were a welcoming touch. As advertised, the views from the balconies and sounds of the ocean were wonderful. The amenities were so close by. We very much enjoyed the pools and the food at the Ocean Club restaurant was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend the Hali'i Kai resort.

From the first moment we walked through the door, I knew we chose the perfect property for our Big Island vacation. The unit was clean, well appointed and decorated, had everything we needed and more! The welcome goodies of cookies and water were very sweet. The third floor lanai off the primary bedroom was a real treat. We enjoyed morning coffee most days out there. In the laundry room there was plenty of beach chairs, toys, coolers, linens, etc., to use.The grounds were well maintained, and the food and drinks at the private beach club were amazing (don't skip the Mai Tai)! The staff in the restaurant were so kind, and one employee even walked around the pool with a pitcher of iced water for everyone poolside. The pool was very versatile with a shallow 1 ½' area for the littles and waders, a deeper 4' for full submersion, as well as a lovely little waterfall. It's tough to beat the setting, and sunsets are phenomenal. Don't forget to check the calendar for live music nights at the beach club.Location was spectacular. Close to other restaurants, shopping, golfing, beaches, walking paths, etc. Check-in and communication with the rental agency was as easy as could be. And we can't wait to go back!

We loved our stay at the Hali'i Kai townhouse. The house is very comfortable and the resort location was beautiful & relaxing. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and more. The location was perfect for getting to everything we wanted to do on the Kona side of the island - golf, beaches, restaurants, small towns, etc. The Ocean Club was a fun place to go after a round of golf, the day's activities or to just enjoy the sunset. Communication with the managers was easy and timely. Would love to come back the next time we're on the big island.

Agree with others about the fabulous views from a very comfortable and quiet home away from home. We're already booked for next year - that says it all! Kathy and the Vacation Resort staff responded quickly to our few questions, and even replaced the master closet lightbulb on a Sunday.There are puzzles, games and books under the TV. It rained a lot the first week we were there, so it was nice to have inside/lanai entertainment too.There are no umbrellas around the pool area for shade. But the Ocean Club has covered seating if you are getting a drink or something to eat. On weekends when the Ocean Club has late afternoon music, you can sit on your lanai and enjoy the subtle background music along with dinner and the sunset.The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, along with spices and condiments. There is both a regular drip and Keurig coffeemaker. If you have major grocery shopping, take the time to go to the Safeway in Kona, it is MUCH more affordable than Waikoloa or Waimea food stores. Safeway gas is also at least 60 cents cheaper than anywhere else (except Costco) with no long lines.We travel a lot during the year, and stay in many rentals. This is by far our favorite location and condo. Thank you for sharing it!

One of the most well stocked places we have ever stayed at. From beach equipment and snorkeling gear to meat thermometers this place has it all. Really nice kitchen with all the bells and whistles. Great ocean front location with excellent sunset views. There is no surf access as the small lava field runs from the condos to the water but Abay beach is beautiful for swimming and checking out the turtles and it’s right down the street. The upstairs lanai is awesome with a great breeze and comfy outdoor furniture. Excellent for relaxing and watching the sunset. The pool is ok, very shallow and no outside drinks of any sort are allowed so be prepared for that. The pool is served by the on site restaurant and cocktails are 18. Until happy hour when a mai tai is 8. The property grounds were beautiful. This was worth the money and a great place to stay. Good communication with owner.
