We absolutely loved our stay in Waikoloa at this condo. The unit was even nicer than the photos portrayed. The kitchen was well stocked. The location is perfect to reach the pool or to walk out to watch the sunset over the water. We loved eating dinner on the back patio. The condo had everything in it that we could need for the beach. The owner was amazing to deal with as well. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Excellent place to stay. Unit and resort were even better in person than the pictures. The balcony located off of the master bedroom was ideal for early morning coffee and late night unwinding with a beautiful view of the Pacific; unbelievably peaceful and tranquil with the breeze and ocean waves crashing onto shore. Access to the pool, gym, and Ocean Club restaurant all add to the experience. The host was also very accommodating and great with timely communication. Highly recommend for a family of 4-6 people!

Beautiful oceanfront condo at Hali'i Kai. The condo is in one of only three oceanfront building, with second and third (top)floor balcony views. Absolutely beautiful!The owners are clearly focused on the guest experience - kitchen fully stocked with all accouterments needed to prepare every meal. Beds & pillows were very comfortable, and we enjoyed every night relaxing on the outdoor dining set or sectional on the third floor balcony while listening to the waves.We enjoyed the private Ocean Club pool, sand-bottom hot tub, and restaurant. Of note, the fish tacos were the best we've had! Kudos!

Our time here was magical! The rental was clean and beautifully decorated, quiet and amazing views. Being next to pool and beach club was so convenient…we saw amazing sunsets by the poolside and ate great food. The Hali’i Kai is a beautiful and safe condo community. Great to be near the Queen’s & King’s shops, and with a car so close to cultural destinations. We definitely felt the Aloha spirit! Thank you and will return again!

This was a great condo. It had all the supplies we could have needed, the beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, and wagon got a lot of use! The unit was very comfortable and spacious, we couldn't have asked for more! The owners were very responsive and made us feel like valued guests. The Hali'i Kai Ocean club area is wonderful - no better place to watch the sunset and the pool was awesome. Overall, it was a great base for us to explore the island and enjoy our time. We would definitely stay here again!

The villa was just as the picture show, clean, well maintained and equipped. Excellent communication process with owners. Just like being at home with all the amenities. The complex is well maintained, quite complete with a private pool, restaurant and bar. Perfect for watching sunsets in the evenings. Villa is with within walking distance (1 mile) to all shopping and activities at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. Highly recommended, we will most definitely stay there again on our next visit to the Big Island.

Overall a nice condo. Pros: well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and bedding, unit is well laid out, good location within Hali'i Kai. Cons: unit is a little dark due to dark paint colors, carpet needs replacing, some noise intrusion from adjacent units (especially above). Given all that, we felt the nightly rate was fair and we were generally satisfied with our stay. Luva's booking agent and local manager were both very helpful, and we plan to rent through Luva again in the near future.

We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family vacation.The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described. It had everything we needed, and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into making guests feel welcome. We especially appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout the home.The beach gear was a huge bonus. The umbrellas, chairs, and sand toys made our beach days so much easier and more enjoyable. We also loved spending time on the lanais, which were perfect for relaxing in the mornings and evenings.The location was excellent as well. For anyone considering staying at a resort, this home offers a great alternative. It’s just a short drive from the Hilton Waikoloa Village, where you can purchase a day pass if you’d like to enjoy the resort amenities for a day. We also enjoyed the Ocean Club, which was a nice option to have nearby.Richard was a wonderful host and made the entire experience seamless.We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to the Big Island and highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped, and relaxing place to stay.

My wife and I have stayed at VRBOs across the country from Florida to Texas to California. This was the cleanest/most well stocked VRBO we have ever stayed at. Other things about this condo:1) The furniture is nice (not cheap or in excessively used condition). We felt like we were staying in a new place with new furniture. 2) The layout of this place has the bedrooms split on either side of the living area /kitchen. Not only does this make the place seem a lot bigger than the pictures portray, it also allows for separation from children or others staying with you. 3) Wiakoloa Resort is where you want to stay! This was our first time to the Big Island and we were so happy we stayed in this area. It is central to the west side of the island where the resorts are (the east side of the island is more for locals). You have Wiakoloa beach right down the street, nice shops and grocery stores. A great snorkel beach (69 beach) just 12 min north, the best all sand beach Hapuna Beach 15 min north. You have PineTrees Surfing beach 25 min south, the Marina 30 min south if you do a fishing charter, then downtown Kona another 5 minutes south of that. If you do want to go the the east side of the island, Saddle Road (beautiful drive) runs straight across the middle of the island from Wiakoloa Resort to Hilo. 4) You have access to your car right outside your door which is so convenient compared to the hotels/resorts. Great unit, clean, well stocked, and centrally located to everything!

Hali'i Kai, where the property is located, is absolutely beautiful and well kept. This unit is at the back of the property with an incredible view of the ocean. There is an excellent restaurant on site in the pool area, and it is a very short walk to get there. Order the green beans, just trust me on that one. Doug and Vicki are perfect hosts. Every question is answered and need anticipated. The unit is represented accurately. It is very comfortable for two couples. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds are comfortable and enough cannot be said about the view. We enjoyed the live music and the fire dancer by the pool. This is a special spot. Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay! We loved the bbq on the lanai, the outdoor/beach supplies in the garage, the ocean club was very fun. We enjoyed watching the fire dancer one evening. Communication with Laurie Jo was great, she was very responsive.The ocean view was breathtaking!

My family really enjoyed our stay. We really enjoyed the pool/gym/restaurant available to us. We would definitely stay here again! My only complaints were we came across a few bugs in the house, but that’s any house in Hawaii!, and the tile/floor could have been cleaned better. Wish we had brought some house slippers to wear inside, because the bottom of our feet were covered in dirt from walking around inside barefoot.

This gated community was a great spot for a couple of quiet days on our Hawaiian adventure. The condo was spacious and fully stocked with everything from the kitchen to laundry detergent to a whole closet of beach chairs, towels and toys. The staff at the community pool/bar/restaurant were over the top gracious. The shops nearby provided more than enough options for quick groceries and meals out. It was a great time all around and we were sad to have to leave.

Very clean, had everything you could need for cooking at home, plus lots of extras like boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. Check out was so easy and Richard responds quickly to any questions. The pool is a very short walk from the condo which is nice. There is also an open air gym next to the pool. We could not have been happier.

We also had dinner there a few times, very good. Morning walks on the beach trail to the Hilton to see the sea turtles was a delight for the children!! We’ll be back again! This condo is in a beautiful location and was clean upon arrival. However, after flying 18 hours and arriving at 8pm we arrived to a condo that was 85 degrees with two children. I immediately called the after hours service and I was told they would get back to be in 2 hours. I finally received a call from the host and she informed me that the AC company did not do after hours and that it would be Monday before someone could come. We arrived on Saturday. I explained that the condo was 84 degrees and all she could offer was “you can open the windows”. Terrible start to our vacation. However, she did instruct me that sometimes the sensor is off on the doors and that causes the AC to shut off. Why didn’t anyone check this before we arrived? After locking the doors and ensuring they were closed the condo began to cool off. It took 10 hours before the condo reached a comfortable temperature. This sensor issue would have been nice to know. Having a resolution for no AC would have also been nice. Overall this condo was beautiful and clean but no AC would have been a huge dealbreaker. Thankfully it began working!

This 3 bedroom condo was very spacious, spotless clean, and beautifully decorated. The pool area was never crowded, you always had lots of chairs to pick from, the sand bottom hot tub was a big hit and dining outdoors poolside in the evening under the umbrellas with little lanterns on your table was so special. Everyone was welcoming. We loved the more quiet surroundings compared to larger resorts. Do know that the pool area closes earlier then most other resorts at 8pm. Also know you will not get check in information or door codes until your unit is clean and ready. The owner was wonderful and had direct communication with us via text which came in handy. The unit was well stocked and made our stay super easy, they even had a closet full of beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards and towels so we didn't have to go rent or buy them. Thank you for making this such a memorable, easy and comfortable stay! Highly recommend!

Place was great plenty of room for the 8 of us. Pool was nice not too deep but great view. The hot tub at the pool was great it has a sand bottom so was different from but very nice. Food at the Ocean Club was great we ate there 3 times. Price is similar to local restaurants but more convient. Location is central for the Waikoloa area so easy access to shops and restaurants. Overall amazing stay and will keep on the list of places to return too.
