The condo is in a perfect location if you want to be in a quiet area (a rental car is recommended). The wind does pick up quite a bit in the afternoon, but the breeze keeps the condo at a fairly comfortable temp if you open the doors & windows. We had sand in our rental car and the proprry mgr loaned me a shopvac so I could clean it out (I've been told the car companies are very picky about sand). Overall a great place!

This condo is amazing!!!! It’s in a great location, wonderfully stocked and the hosts were amazing to work with!! The mornings on the balcony drinking coffee and watching whales started the days off right and the evening walks on the nearby beach or the kids swimming in the pool was the perfect ending each evening! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Beautiful spot looking out over the ocean. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sea turtles were right out front playing in the waves everyday. The location was quite central for the driving tours we did on the island. We were able to get a good sleep everynight as the beds were comfortable and the ceiling fan or a/c kept the room at a good temperature. Great place !

While this condo is dated, it is serviceable. More importantly, the beds are all very comfortable (you can even have a 2nd King in the guest bedroom), the kitchen is equipped with everything you can think of, there is a new/excellent W/D, and the location is central to every part of Maui, making exploring all the areas convenient. We were not more than 20-35 minutes from any part of Maui...the airport, South, West, North Shore.....it made exploring all parts so easy.

We absolutely loved this condo. The location was perfect. 20 minutes from the airport and close to all major highways. I don't think we missed a beach or hike. Did the road to Hana and both of the mountains. Took an amazing whale watching tour out of Lahiana. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. Beach chairs, boogey boards and coolers. We can't wait to go back.

Wake up each morning to the sound of the waves after sleeping on a very comfortable mattress and step outside to watch the sunrise over the mountain with its reflection on the ocean. This condo is beautifully decorated and ocean front. The location is perfect. Having twin beds that were comfortable was perfect for my daughters. And I appreciated that they had their own bathroom. We loved being on the ground floor and walking out from the lanai to the beach or pool. We wish we had several more weeks here.

Barbs condo was absolutely perfect! Great location- we were able to walk to the harbor with shops and restaurants. Central location to easily access all parts of Maui.
Condo was super clean and well equipped. Barb has everything you need to make you feel at home. Beach chairs, umbrellas, bamboo beach mats, towels, toys, a couple pairs of snorkel gear We would definitely stay here again!..

The Condo was amazing! The views were fantastic! We saw both whales and sea turtles. We did not go snorkeling however, other families told us that the snorkeling off the beach was great and had many different fish. My husband and I really enjoyed the BBQ area and all the other guests/residents were very friendly. You can definitely tell that Barb and Larry take a lot of pride into making your stay a wonderful experience. We walked to a mini golf course, shaved ice and a coffee stand. The condo is only 20 minutes from a variety of stores. It was a short drive to Paia and Kihei. I would most definitely book this place again!

Overall this unit was adequate, but could use some upgrades & a deep clean. The living room and lanai rugs need replacing. The bathroom floors need a deep clean around the floorboards. The glass in the master bath is permanently water stained. I would replace it & put a squeegee in there. The kitchen wasn't stocked very well with plastic type leftover containers. I went to Target & bought some. There were only 4 butter knives (we had to request more) & the sharp knives were really dull. The sliding glass door really sticks & the screen kept coming off the track. We called to have it fixed once & my husband fixed it the last time. The biggest annoyance was the WiFi kept going down & the the TV in the master bedroom wouldn't work. The staff at Maui Rentals was great & took care of everything we requested very promptly.

The condo unit was exactly as described, no issues or complaints, unless u hate sun, wind, ocean or geckos 😅. Some of the furnitures are old, just gotta be careful, especially when kids around. We are literally few steps away from the pool and the ocean. The grass area became a "walking" path for folks to go to the beach, as the ocean has ruined parts of the beach.
However we loved meeting other familys and their kids. The pool has some harsh ruels for kids as the sound does travel into the apartments.
There were turtles everyday in the ocean and if u watch carefully, u would see whales. We loved it!!! I will definitely come back!

Communication was amazing. Everything was communicated promptly and thoroughly throughout our stay. We opted for a this walkout ocean front rental instead of a resort and we would do it again. More privacy than any resort and the ability to stay right oceanfront when most resorts you are so far back you have to pack up just to get near it.
We saw turtles multiple times a day right outside the unit. We saw whales almost everytime we looked out the window or sat outside. The ability to wake up at 6am make coffee and sit on the patio to watch the sun rise over Haleakala in our pajamas was priceless.

After dark it was hard to match the building we needed to the map we got ahead of time so I wish the buildings were marked in a prominent place. Other than that, it was a great stay. The place was clean with a nice lanai. Kitchen was well appointed. Short, easy walk to park with great beach access. Didn't use the pool but it looked lovely. The entire grounds are well taken care of and there is an elevator for easy transport of luggage and groceries. Plenty of parking. Would stay here again.

Our overall experience at this condo is good. The location and the view are excellent. The accommodations are good for 4 people (though 6 probably won't be bad).Minor issues. The check-in instructions failed to mention that once the code is entered, one has to lift up (instead of pushing down) the handle. We had to call the emergency line, which on the first try, the person did not pick up, leading to some anxious moments. This piece of important info should be in both the e-mail that we got as well as in the separate text that was sent to us.Another annoyance is that all the pots and pans are badly scratched. Given that we tended to eat breakfast at the unit, it made us cringe a bit in using it.Despite these little issues, we had a good time.

Unbeatable views. Loved watching turtles eating along the shore and the whales in the bay. Convenient location to everything. Kitchen was well stocked along with the bathrooms. The patio was our favorite hangout. It was nice being on lower level for loading and unloading. Decor was beautifully done. We loved every moment of the stay, except getting caught in a downpour in Hana! The central location was perfect for every direction we went whether it was south for a luau, East for Hana, upcountry for Haleakala or west for a wonderful dinner at Mala tavern. We watched whales everyday from the lanai and saw green turtles near the seawall every afternoon. We took advantage of the pool most days and had no issues finding a chaise to use. The condo is totally stocked with everything we needed and we loved being able to do laundry so we could just bring a carry on. We had a few questions during the trip and Kate was very swift to answer. Great host experience. I appreciated all of the information Kate communicated before the trip. It’s a lovely place and we hope to return very soon! Mahalo for everything!

This condo is in an absolutely perfect location to explore all of Maui. It sits at the western end of Ma’alea Bay on a residential street, along with six or seven other small condo buildings. As a result, the area is quiet and very private, but you can access a 5 mile long, sandy Beach by walking down the seawall at the building, or taking a three minute walk to the end of the road where the state park begins. We walked the beach, as well as the adjacent nature preserve, every day. Every day we sat on our lanai and watched the whales, jumping in the bay. It was absolutely incredible. We also walked to the little market area that surrounds the Maui Ocean Center every day for ice cream. The unit itself is wonderful. Beautifully decorated, more than adequately stocked with everything. The bed in the master bedroom is incredibly comfortable, the towels and linens are soft, in the shower in the master bathroom is incredible. We highly recommend this unit and would absolutely stay there again on our next trip to Maui.

This property is ideally situated, not far from the airport and other areas of interest. The unit itself is clean, well stocked and with a good oceanview. Our group had a good time.
Some minor issues (easily corrected):
1) Instructions for the electronic lock lack one important point: turn the door handle UP, instead of down. Even though there was a taped lettering on the handle, we arrived at night and we did not notice the additional tip as it was dark despite our phone flashlight. If the host simply added this important instruction in his/her check-in sheet, we wouldn't have to call (frantically) the emergency line.
2) All the pots were badly scratched. We did some cooking and we would appreciate better quality pots. We strongly recommend that a new set of pot to be purchased, especially given the price we paid.

Thank you!! We had a great time and the condo was perfect for our family of 5 and in a great location! The patio has a great view of the pool and beach. Our 8 year old slept on the pull out couch and said it was so comfy. Thanks for putting a great mattress in there! The kitchen was stocked so well so we could cook a delicious breakfast and dinner. We were thrilled to find a rice cooker because we use one multiple times a week at home and wanted to make rice with pur meals.. There are PLENTY of bath and beach towels too. Our kids really enjoyed the boogie boards and beach equipment that was provided and the beach nearby was right around the corner. It was also the perfect place to whale watch. We will definitely stay here again on a return trip to Maui.

Great views for whale watching in the harbor. The "residents" like to patrol the pool area and we were told that we were too loud and got called out on a toy that was brought in- be careful!

The view is fantastic, and love taking walks on Sugar Beach. This location is perfect to get around the island.

We love this condo. This is our second stay at this particular condo. We have stayed at many places in this area of Maui because it is easy to get to all locations. The condo is fully stocked to make your own meals, beach towels, beach chairs etc. The Lanai is wonderful to observe whales in season and turtles galore. The beds are very comfortable. It has two large tvs for evening down time. This corner condo has a lovely cross through breeze that keeps the condo cool. Last but not least is the great communications with Pam. Wonderful hosts! Our extended family of 4 adults and 2 children enjoyed an amazing vacation at this condo. Stunning oceanfront location, easy walk to the Maalaea Harbor, the Maui Ocean Center and to a long, quiet beach at Haycraft Park. Also within short driving distance to the airport, groceries and the rest of the island. The pool, BBQ area and premises were meticulous and the condo itself was clean and extremely well stocked with kitchen and bath supplies, beach towels and gear, and almost anything else you might need but forgot to pack! Definitely a highlight to see so many whales and some turtles right from the property and lanai (we appreciated the binoculars). Very easy check in and check out process and excellent communication with the hosts. Thank you Barb and Larry!!

My husband and I (mid 40’s) and my parents (70’s) stayed here for 6 days at the beginning of February and it was amazing. We really appreciated the elevator access for my parents in the middle of the building, and the walk to the very pleasant beach at the end of the street is quite quick and pleasant! Easy parking at the condo, too.
We watched turtles and whales right off the balcony - and walking to the whale watching boats down in the marina was easy (about a 10-15 min walk if it was just my husband and I but for slower walkers more like 20-25 min?). Truly a very special trip.

Condo was right on the water between the marina and the beaches at Kihei. Great view and nice breeze. The condo had air conditioning but we didn’t need it. If we return to Maui in the future we will definitely try to stay in this condo again. Oh I forgot to mention whale activity can be spotted anytime in daylight hours. Great experience.
