Our group of 6 (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 kids- 4 and 16 mo) were able to fit easily. The condo has lots of amenities and toys for kids. We really enjoyed sitting on the lanai and watching the whales breach in the bay. The condo is located in quiet little village which gives it a much more relaxing vibe. Overall great stay. This is the nicest vrbo/vacation rental that we have stayed at in 40 years. The unit is beautiful and stocked with everything you could want to enjoy a tropical vacation. Terri is super communicative and helpful. The location is in a quiet bit of beach close to shopping and restaurants. We saw whales from the balcony!

This condo is located at a great location. There is something to do nearby for everyone. We loved watching the whales do acrobatics and the turtles feed along the rocks. If you like to cook the kitchen is nicely updated & you will never find a kitchen better supplied than this one. The condo had lovely artwork which gave it a homey feeling. Unfortunately the condo needs fresh paint and updating of the living room furniture. The linens for the queen bed were in dire need of replacing. They had holes in them and the elastic on the fitted sheets no longer existed. The carpets need replacement (or a professional cleaning) as well as the sliding door window treatment. I would recommend a stay here but only after the above issues were addressed.

We had a wonderful Christmas Maui vacation in this condo unit. beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. It is off the major crowded area which makes it nice and quiet. The complex has easy beach access with much fewer people and we spent many hours snorkeling, swimming and relaxing. Host Deb is gracious, I accidentally left some items she is sending back to me.

We found this condo very comfortable. All of the furnishings were good quality and the kitchen was fully equipped. Owner was very responsive to a couple of small items that needed to be replaced. The photos are accurate. It has a beautiful view over the gardens onto the ocean. We loved the beach next-door for swimming and snorkelling and long morning walks. There are a few people living permanently in tents on the beach, but everybody seemed very respectful of each other, and there is plenty of room to find your own space to relax.The only thing we didn’t love was the amount of airplane traffic overhead. It is constant throughout the night and day, even into the wee hours. Seems to be under the direct flight path to the airport. Not sure if this is true everywhere on Maui as it is a small island. The lanai is small, but adequate for two people. Met some very nice neighbours and other visitors at the communal barbeque area, where we picked up good tips.

A very nice condo in a nice central location. If this is your first time visiting Maui, you can’t do better. You’ll be adjacent to the longest, undeveloped beach in West Maui, with waves calm enough for young ones but still interesting enough for teens. Kīhei, Lao Valley and Lāhainā are a short drive away, as is the airport and roads to Hana and Haleakala. The condo is well furnished and the host is excellent—quick to respond to questions and concerns, very much interested in your stay being pleasurable. Highly recommended.

The condo was as advertised, well stocked and had everything we needed in the kitchen, laundry, even for the beach (cooler, umbrella, chairs). We enjoyed watching the sunrise and spotting whales from the balcony; and snorkeling with turtles at the beach a few meters from the property. The unit seemed stuffy when we arrived, yet within seconds of opening the windows we were comfortable and rarely needed the air conditioning. Although the building has an elevator we never used it because we were so close to the stairs. We got our exercise walking up to the 4th floor multiple times a day; we apprciated the location and enjoyed the privacy this unit offers.Not having traveled to Maui frequently, we didn't know this area well. We were amazed at how convenient it was, all the stores and restaurants we needed were close (including Starbucks), Kihei was only 10 min and it was convenient for day trips to Hana or Haleakula. Plus the OGG airport was less than 20 min away. The only negative was a scheduleing conflict that ocurred at the time of booking, however the issue was handled promply, honestly and with good communication. We greatly enjoyed our time at this property and would recommend it to friends and family.

Kate kept in touch from the moment I made the reservation with tips and suggestions for the area and to make sure we were taken care of. The location was perfect for our home base. We had the best time staying at this property. Every morning we got up to watch the sun rise over Haleakala and with that came turtle spottings, whales breaching and so much more. This area has one of the nicest beaches just down the street where you can swim and snorkel. It is also a great central location if you want to explore other parts of the island. .Thank you Diane! This condo was furnished with so much—beach towels and chairs, lots of scuba supplies, etc. Its in a great location for getting around the island and it has a gorgeous view from the lanai. Saw turtles and whales right from the property. Only downside was that the AC is in the sitting area so it was hard to get to the guest bedroom. The shoreline has had weather damage so could not directly access beach but we knew that ahead of time. Still can get there though.

The property was exactly as described. It is within 5 minutes walking to a beach. Turtles and whales (during whale season) can be seen from the balcony. Location is within walking distance to downtown area where we boarded a sunset cruise, whale watching, and snorkel tour. Overall a great stay. Very quiet location and the grounds are immaculate. Great patio with wonderful view, morning sun and afternoon shade. Pool was nice and the 2 large BBQ’s were great. Kitchen was well stocked with sharp knives, stainless steel pots and pans, and plenty of plates cups and glasses. Coffee grinder, press and drip machine. The condo itself is comfortable but tired and could use some updating. A few things we could suggest is replacing the patio chairs, providing more than 1 beach chair and upgrading the AC unit. Helen was an excellent host, clear communication and when the microwave stopped working she had a new one there the next day. Thank you Helen for sharing your place with us, we will certainly contact you again on our next trip to Maui.

This condo is beautiful! We loved the artistic Hawaiian decor. We enjoyed the beach supplies which included: snorkel masks, flippers, sand shoes, boogie boards and beach chairs. The view was lovely and the condo is close to an uncrowded beach. We also liked being able to walk to Maalaea Harbor for a boat tour, the small shopping area, a few restaurants, and the Maui Ocean Center. The condo's location made it easy to take day trips in all directions.

The condo offers a perfect view each morning of the sunrise. The harbor is only a few blocks away to go on boat tours of the islands. We swam everyday while there. Loved the whole experience and hope to be back next year!

Beautiful beach only steps away. The marina is within walking distance as well as the harbor shops, aquarium, and restaurants. The place was very clean, very spacious. There were 8 of us, and were very comfortable. Really recommend waking up early for a walk on the beach or down to the harbor. The sunrise is stunning.

Pam’s condo is really well set up for either two couples or families. Condo, pool, barbecue and beach all well kept, clean and uncrowded. Probably best for those looking for quiet and calm - no nightlife whatsoever, a tiny market, gas station, couple of restaurants and the marina are walkable. The beach is calm and long with good reef and turtle action. Sunrise from the bed in the master bedroom every morning. Waves crashing to put one to sleep, Balcony and panoramic views are top notch. Super well stocked with towels, chairs, coolers, snorkel gear and a full on chef’s kitchen with every kind of gadget.
Hosts were very responsive. Good value for the price. Definitely grocery shop on the way in. Easy 20-30 minute drives to golf, nightlife and other beautiful adventures/points of interest. Very chill~

This time the location was very windy, we just ended up driving to a beach closer to Kihei but we do love the central location being within half hour of almost everything we wanted to do. Very clean and quiet location, Lynette was great to deal with again. This was our second stay here And it did not disappoint.

The condo wasn’t clean, tub hadn’t been cleaned as in dirt on the base of the tub. Kitchen floor had never been swept and we had cockroaches. Shampoo, conditioner laundry detergent had been watered down a lot,3 rolls of tissue paper for 3 ladies for 10 days was not enough and when I asked for more I was told it was up to me and I protested and more was brought to the home. Location was great. .

Our stay in this lovely unit was perfect. It met all of our needs. It is fully equipped and well kept with all the necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The layout of the larger area (living and dining area) maximises openness and comfort. The lanai is the gem. Enjoy mornings relaxing as you sip your coffee/tea and you can also enjoy the evening sunsets of the harbor and beyond.
We have stayed in many of the units at Kanai. This is a gem! We will be back.

This location was great for island access. The rooms and beds were quite comfortable. Lots of fans to make the condo cooler in the afternoon, if needed. There is a local beach that is within walking distance, either take the sidewalk or scoot along the beach shore. The parking pass was easy to figure out. The door lock, not quite as quick. The condo could use a good scrubbing in the kitchen at the sink and showers in the bathrooms but still a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo during our Maui vacation. The highlight was definitely the ocean view and close to the pool area – it’s the perfect spot to relax and take in the island’s beauty. The location is ideal, with amazing beaches just a short 20 to 25-minute drive away, making it easy to explore some of the best spots Maui has to offer.
While we did encounter a few roaches, which we understand is common in tropical environments, it wasn’t a major issue for us. The furniture was a bit dated, but overall, the condo was comfortable, providing everything we needed for our stay.
If you’re looking for a centrally located, peaceful place to unwind with beautiful views, this condo is a great option!

Our stay at this rental unit was generally acceptable, and the unit was clean and well stocked with all the essential items we expected. All the equipment, appliances, and electronic devices worked fine, and the location, view and access to the places we needed to get to were convenient.
The rooms were well equipped, and the furnishings were comfortable and very adequate. We enjoyed our stay, only wish we had more time to explore and enjoy more sites.
