This property was perfect for our week on Maui. You have the ocean out the back door and the mountain out the front. Our family of 6 stayed very comfortably in the apartment. The owners provide beach towels, snorkeling gear, beach toys, coolers, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, pretty loaded spice cabinet, pots/pans, plates/cups, eating and cooking utensils, basic condiments, ice making in the fridge, in unit washer and dryer, dishwasher and the pods for both... and I'm probably forgetting some things. This apartment was so well provided, we felt like we were home! This was a perfect homebase to get to just about anywhere on the island. With the recent storms the beach access directly in front of the condo was washed out, but about a block down the road you can walk in, no issue. Though we were bummed that it wasn't right there, we did end up having 5 turtles visit one evening directly in front of the condo where the beach used to be. I'd say that's a win!Barb and Larry were great, and so easy to work with. They really thought of everything!10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Maui.

This condo's location was perfect for us! The listing is accurate, and the view from the lanai is top-notch. The condo had everything we needed, and we were delighted to find two French presses in a cabinet. The beach access was a little unclear; however, we managed fine with a 4 and 6 year old. Unless we were missing something (totally possible), you either have to cut through neighboring property and jump down a small (2 foot) wall to go the short way ( 20 steps) or take the road to the dead-end to enter through the actual park entrance (maybe a 3 minute walk or so). This was our first trip to Hawaii, and the beauty is engulfing from the ocean to the mountains to the very vivid stars. We took an amazing shot of the Milky Way our first night. Now, I'm not sure about the other islands, but if you do not like cats or chickens, do not come to Maui. They are everywhere as well. We are animal lovers and were delighted to meet the "condo cat" who, per the condo's guest book, is named Juan. He is a sweet older cat who just wants some food, fresh water, and someone to sit next to - such an unexpected treat since we missed our own cats dearly! Mahalo!

I liked the condo but there was not a beach right outside the door as I was expecting. You had to take a very short walk over to the property next door to get down on the beach. Once you get down to the beach, it was beautiful.

Our overall experience was good! Our only (but noteworthy) complaint would be the cleanliness. The kitchen looked as though it hadn't been cleaned it a while. Its a small kitchen so its noticeable. With a 200 cleaning fee, we shouldn't walk into this. With that said we did contact the host and they said asked if we wanted the cleaner to come back over. We did decline since we were already in the condo. We didn't use the washer /dryer because the washer smelled pretty bad.There's a beach thats a 3 minute walk from the condo and super convenient! We loved that. The mornings outside sitting in front of water is amazing. It's a quiet area which is really nice if you're not into the hustle and bustle environment.

The stay was amazing! The apartment was super clean and beautiful. It was right on the shore and we saw turtles right outside our patio doors. There were six of us who stayed there and it was a unanimous thumbs up by everyone when asked if they would stay there again. Thank you, Diane for sharing your wonderful condo with us. We loved the convenient, central location of the condo, since we wanted to explore many parts of the island. The condo was clean, had a beautiful view, and had extras that we didn’t have to rent - such as a cooler and beach chairs. The only negative was that there was no direct beach access as stated in the description. It appears that there used to be a beach and stairs leading to it but it is now roped off with signs saying “do not enter.” To get to the beach, the booklet suggested walking on the sidewalk behind the condo that leads to a public park with beach and ocean access. It didn’t really affect us much, since we were heading out each day to explore different places, but thought it might be something people would want to know. We still loved our stay and loved having a 2 bed, 2 bath condo.

Relaxing vibe. Very prompt to answer questions or fix things. Kitchen fully stocked. The view although of the bay and not ocean was still amazing. No direct beach access, but turtles swim up to the sea wall. Grounds are immaculate, grill is large and clean, lots of tanning chairs at pool and set up by the water. Swimming beach is 5 minute walk to end of street. Appliances are new with full size washer/dryer. SC huge bonus with separate systems for each bedroom and living room. FREE PARKING TOO. Restaurants close by but major stuff 20 minutes away. Will definitely stay here agian

Great central location in a quiet area near the harbor. Well stocked with everything we could need. The beach is a short walk down to the park at end of the street. The water was a bit rough the week we were there for swimming/snorkeling, but we did see some people out with boogie and surf boards. The air conditioner is great in the main living area but doesn’t cool the bedrooms much. The breeze from outside and fans help circulate some air but it’s still a little warm at night. We’ve come to expect that at most places after a few stays in hawaii, but something for first timers to be aware of. We enjoyed sitting out on the lawn chairs in the evenings, reading and listening to the ocean.

Chose this first floor unit because one of our party has mobility issues. We were on the island to visit with family, so also wanted a location that was easy to get to Kahului, Lahaina and Wailuku easily. Couldn’t have asked for a better value.The unit appears to be an older unit, but it was clean and well kept. View from the patio is of the courtyard and pool.Communication with the management team was through text/email and very easy. No issues during our stay, but felt they would be very reaponsive if there were.Will seek this unit again on our next visit.

This place was a gem! I have been to Maui several times before and always stated resorts but this is in a lovely quiet authentically Hawaiian neighborhood right on the water. A real value. Fully stocked with everything we needed from beach chairs and swim fins, beach towels, and awesome instructions for using everything in the condo as well as places to go and things to do. Beautiful beach nearby steps away. Watched the sea turtles feeding on the rocks just outside the back door. Convent to every place we wanted to go. We will definitely return. The McKenna‘s were fabulous hosts.

Everything was great about our stay. Centrally located base camp to tour other areas of the island. Maalaea Harbor was convenient for souvenir shopping. Best pizza in Maui there. Nice quiet area. We much preferred it over the big hustle bustle resorts. Would not hesitate to book it again. Aloha!

Terri the host was exceptional. Very friendly, prompt communication, offering helpful tips and directions. The unit was a very clean and comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with Air con and Fans. We stayed after our daughter's wedding in Maui, with our adult son. Beach bags, chairs, towels, snorkelling gear wake boards were available for use. The fully equipped kitchen included condiments and spices to cook if you chose to eat in,an there were great restaurants at the nearby marina. The beds were comfy, and the air con and fans provided lovely respite after a hot beach day. Toiletries, first aid kits, games, 3 tvs, wifi, etc made the unit feel like a home away from home. With pool, BBQ, whale watching, snorkelling and turtles just steps down the beach from the condo, we were in heaven! Highly recommend this beautiful unit for a relaxing family stay in Maui.

Completely Perfect Stay! This was an amazing property, the location is so great, close to everything! The property shows better in person than the pictures. What makes this property the best is a perfect host, every single expectation was exceeded. The host was available at the drop of a hat if needed, but also ensured you enjoyed the property uninterrupted.This was not only a 10/10 stay, but the best short term rental we have ever used. Can’t wait to go back if possible. Great for any group, we had a family of 6 and the suite was not only spacious, it made us feel like we could have fit more (a huge plus for a larger group).

Well-stocked unit with more towels, blankets, and beach gear than we could possibly use. Communication with the owners was clear and easy, and the on-site manager was very responsive.The second-floor location is ideal—high enough for privacy, but still close enough to feel right on the water. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Great ocean view, right on the beach. There's nothing like sitting out on the lanai having a drink in the evening listening to the waves coming in. Great pool and BBQ area. The parking lot had ample parking. The unit itself is beautiful and well decorated. It's a very spacious condo and even has a washer and dryer which is convenient. The one down side was having to leave! I will definitely rebook this unit.

We’re return visitors to this property and love its central location. Views are great and the grounds are carefully maintained. The trade winds keep the condo very comfortable so we don’t need the A/C. The condo has just about everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owners are always available if you need something.

Unfortunately, extreme weather impacted our trip and we were not able to make it to Hawaii. We were so disappointed, but Pam was very responsive and made a very stressful situation better. We plan to book with her again when we are able to rebook to Hawaii. Great host!

Aloha! This was a great centrally-located condo for exploring Maui. However, we were disappointed to see that the beach directly in front of the condo, as shown in the photos and highlighted in the advertised condo description, is no longer there, and even the stairs are long-gone. In order to access the beach, due to the eroded/washed out seashore and missing stairs, a 5-minute walk down the road and through a park is necessary. This was not difficult or unpleasant, but frustrating since we thought we would have direct access to the beautiful beach as pictured. The grounds of the condo are beautifully kept and very peaceful. The location is quiet, and many beautiful blooming flowers all around. Inside the condo, we were pleased with how well stocked everything was. However, the toaster was broken and we found the bedding in the secondary bedroom to be well-worn and old; both beds were very comfortable though! One of the ceiling fans stopped working, which increased the inside humidity, and there was only an AC in the living room, which did not help in the bedrooms. We could not find a fuse-box, likely locked inside a closet. Some of the beach chairs were very tired/broken and need to be replaced, but we were happy to have them to use during our outings. We struggled with ants in the kitchen, despite keeping everything very tidy, but that is somewhat expected in the tropics. However, additional cleaning products (wipe/spray) and a dish-drying rack would have been helpful.

What a lovely stay! The condo is immaculately clean and is stocked with absolutely everything you could need, plus items in the kitchen and bathrooms in case you forget anything. Everything is in excellent working order. The grounds are very well cared for and lovely. There are tons of chairs to use in the pool area. At the time we visited there was no beach, only a cordoned-off seawall. There is a small public beach only about 500 feet away. The pool is very clean. It's "solar heated" which meant that is was a bit too cold for me. The whale watching from the lanai is excellent! Lots of breaches, fin slapping, etc. Kate even left decent binoculars. Perfect! Kate is a perfect hostess; quick to respond, kind, and generous. Don't sleep on this unit! You won't be sorry.
