This was our second time to Maui. This trip we brought our three kids with us (two adults, one teen). The location of this property is absolutely perfect. It’s a short drive to South Maui (Wailea) and also a short drive to Lahaina, and Kapalua. We did not spend a huge amount of time at the property during the day, but did eat breakfast there every morning. Perfect amenities for making omelets, toast, coffee, etc. We sat outside on the balcony to eat each morning and the views were spectacular (see photos). The breezes through the Condo were so refreshing and pleasant. We opened the front door and opened the balcony sliding glass door and just let the air flow through. We all enjoyed our time together at the condo in the mornings and evenings. I cooked one night out at the gas grills, where there is a dedicated gas line, and a nice kitchenette with running water. Overall, we had an awesome stay. The main level bathroom needs a little bit of an upgrade, but it served its purpose well while we were there. Views: Amazing; we saw Sea Turtles and Whales from the balcony. Location: PerfectSize: Adequate for a family of five if you are planning to spend a lot of time checking out Maui. Host: Awesome to deal with. Amenities: Everything we needed.

The view from the lanai was absolutely stunning and the condo had everything to be perfect for our vacation for a family of 4. The pool was beautiful and clean, turtles visited the beach daily, and the condo itself was perfectly set up. Great central location too to explore the whole island. There is only 1 Walmart on the entire island and the condo was only 15-20 minutes from it, so that was very helpful too. The only thing we found difficult was that our flight didn't leave until 5pm on our day of check out. We had planned to do some activities that day but realized that we would have to leave our luggage in the car because checkout was at 10am. We were told that theft from cars is high on the islands and not to leave anything in the car. We asked but we're not allowed to leave our luggage at the condo that day so that unfortunately made us unable to do much our final day. I completely understand, it's just good to be aware of if you plan to head out on your last day.

The location of the condo is beautiful. We were able to watch turtles and whales right from the balcony. The condo itself gave us some trouble. We didn’t have working lights in the kitchen (they came and replaced bulbs). The kitchen is VERY small. The upstairs shower was inoperable, water wouldn’t drain and the shower leaked into the closet of the downstairs bedroom. We found out from the plumber who came twice that one of the pipes had a hole in it. It wasn’t repaired for the entire 10 days we were there. We had trouble one night with the upstairs AC beeping and making a loud noise. That cleared itself after about 8 hours but made for a difficult night’s sleep. The management company was very responsive throughout all the issues but due to the many things we had go wrong and the inability to get things repaired I wouldn’t recommend this particular condo.

Neighborhood was quiet, unfortunately the water was murky the whole stay but thats okay we had other activities planned, door code I was provided did not work the first time however the rep was able to provide me a new code, the loft area was definitely a surprise since there was a room just across the stairs.

Ken and Lori’s place is spectacular. The view is amazing. There is a sandy beach that goes for at least a mile for sunbathing, snorkeling or your morning beach walk. The beach is adjacent to a national wildlife refuge. The neighborhood is quiet, well except for the lapping of the waves on the beach. Ma’alaea is a small harbor village with several restaurants and shops within walking distance. The pace is less hectic and less crowded than the bigger resort towns and yet pretty much everything you might need or want is within a 10-15 minute drive. The apartment itself was perfect for the 2 of us. And, if you like to cook, the kitchen is amazingly well stocked with dishes and equipment. The lanai is truly oceanfront. We spent a lot of time out there watching sunrises and sunsets. If we come back to Maui, and we’re hoping we will, we would definitely stay here again.

Awesome location and great hosts! 10/10 view and a perfect central spot for exploring the island. It's an older building, but very well kept and clean. The only minor things were the mattress could be a bit more comfortable and the ceiling fan had a small noise until we adjusted the setting. Overall, the stay was fantastic and we would definitely come back again.

Five Star view from balcony. My wife and I loved how close (Sugar) beach is relative to the condo as well as to the Maalaea Harbor Maui for activities. We could easily walk to the beach or if we wanted, it was only a 2 minute drive, and could quickly return to the pool and hot tub to continue our day! The included beach chairs were a plus.

We were centrally located for all of our planned events and used the hosts advice to eat at Haven's nearby and attend the luau in Lahaina which was well worth it. We even saw turtles in front of the complex for the property both in the water and on the beach which was a treat. We did Maui goat yoga, visited the Maui winery and drove part way on the road to hana to see the twin falls, bamboo forest and the rainbow tree. We snorkeled in honolua bay which was recommended to us by the manager at Haven's.

We enjoyed our stay. Had a small issue with the toilet not flushing towards the end of our stay but it was promptly addressed by the owner as were any questions we had. The only things we would change if we could would be the AC not being on a timer as it got hot during the night and more available hot water for the shower, but it wouldn’t deter us from staying again!! Beautiful property!

Wonderfully stocked condo with turtle views! We rent a lot of condos and this one is stocked. Gail, the owner, is a lovely hostess and communicates well all in the app. Easy! Condo is located in the middle of everything and a short drive to fun areas. Quiet condo building so we loved the peaceful days. Turtles popping up in the waves, easy to see from the lanai. We even saw a monk seal twice! A/C is only in the living room, not in the bedroom. We love to sleep cold so wish the ac was throughout. The tropical breeze is a wind tunnel from bedroom to living room so open the windows and it does cool. Furniture is firm and we understand why... it holds up to many guests. We however prefer a bit more cozy. A lounger on the lanai vs the bench would be amazing! The condo is not located on a beach... I love to walk the beach. There is a gate to a rocky "mini beach" area but not for sitting or walking. The condo property is nice but a bit older. Grills are old and just ok but they work ok. Pool is small but works for a lovely dip. Overall a 4.9 rating and all was lovely. We stayed a week and a half.

We just returned from Maui a few days ago & absolutely loved this condo & would stay here again. It was even better than the pictures & the view was AMAZING! It wasn't whale season, but we could see turtles from the lanai & enjoyed watching them. The condo is located in a quiet area, but centralized to most of the island, which made it easy to explore everywhere. The only thing that was lacking was a nice beach close by. There is a beach that you can walk to at the end of the street, but when we went to check it out it was more of a locals beach & not very clean. You can walk to the Ocean Center, shops, & a couple of restaurants/Starbucks in a few minutes. It is the windy side of the island & we were able to open up all the windows & it cooled down the condo nicely. There is also a little fan in the bedroom that worked great to keep it cool. It was very clean, but could always use a bit of a deep cleaning like baseboards & corners; however I doubt most housekeeping do that sort of thing. It was very well stocked & had everything you need in the kitchen to cook with. There were seasonings, oil, a few paper plates, roll of paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher, & washing machine detergent. I loved that it had a washer & dryer. There were bath, hand, kitchen & beach towels, & washcloths. 2 beach chairs, umbrella, & 2 ice chests. Fridge had an ice maker. Would have been nice to have a couple ice packs for the ice chests & a boogie board to use. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful and convenient location. We were able to travel to all of the other areas of the island with ease from here. The hot tub looking out into the bay was so nice. Wanted to give à five star but there were a few housekeeping issues. The glass doors were covered in fingerprints and the dishes had food on caked on. The speaker on the living room tv was blown out and we experienced some water backing up in the shower- likely from sand build up in the drain but was inconvenient.

We had a great stay, loved the balcony! The second bedroom is actually upstairs in the loft open area so there is no privacy, please note! There is very nice local beach and park for morning runs just minutes away! The location is 15-20 minutes from other larger towns including the airport. Close by there isn’t much but a Starbucks.

Loved our stay here. 2 adults in main room, and 2 teens in upstairs room. We each had our own bathrooms which was nice. The view is the real selling point though...honestly the best we saw on the island being right on the water with views of Haleakala as well. 4 beach chairs and an umbrella were very nice too. I want to start out saying the view is wonderful & my family enjoyed their stay overall. We had difficulty gaining access to the Vrbo, partially my fault because my email was not working. I tried to contact the host call/messaging, but there was no answer until I called Vrbo customer service to which, after an hour, they connected me to another partner in Kauai which gave me an access key. She told me I also should have gotten a text as well with instructions, but i unfortunately did not & she was apologetic & sincere. The unit was very convenient, scenic & relaxing. Only issue was the air conditioning. There is only one little unit down stairs & it was a bit of an issue for us sleeping upstairs. It took almost two days to somewhat cool down up there, it stayed mainly warm majority of the time. The upstairs bed also had stains on the side of the covers, everything else seemed to be clean. We stayed a week & we were running low on paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper. I tried to communicate to the host to see if they had any extra, but no answer. We did end up just buying more. Overall, we did enjoy our stay & the views. I would say there should be more convenience with communication.
