The perfect place right on the beach and very private. It is in a very beautiful small complex. We were able to see the turtle and the whales from the balcony. We truly had a fabulous vacation and would stay here again.

Everything was as good or better than expected. I stay in a lot of rentals and this one was best stocked of them all. Everything you need like soap, trash bags, shampoo, even a vacuum were there. The view is fantastic but beware that the ocean is only a couple of feet away and the waves can get loud at night. The ACs worked great and kept us comfortable in unusually high outside temps. Host was great and easy to communicate with. The area is central to everything but there are only a few restaurants close, so if you like eating out multiple times a day it’s probably not ideal. We enjoyed all the amenities of the kitchen and ate several dinners on the lanai with an unbelievable view. Would book again if I ever come back to Maui.

We had a great experience staying at Jon’s place. It is suitable for family vacation with small kids. Kids love playing in the tropical gardens of the complex and enjoys the swimming pools/playing sands on the beach.

Eveything was clean, we had a very secluded terrace to take our meals. The kitchen appliance is fine and the common bbq very well maintained. The beach is peaceful. The central location of the condo allows to easily explore Maui.

Absolutely loved this place! When we arrived it was nice and clean inside, and hidden in the back so it was nice and private. Beach was just a short beautiful walk down the path. The property opens into a gorgeous beach that was perfect for our kids 18, 16, 12 to go play in, and turtles always near the rocks! This was a perfect condo for our family!!

Easy entry and helpful manager next door. The kitchen was very well stocked with good cooking equipment. We really appreciated the very nice beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler with ice packs. We used them every day. The bedrooms get a bit warm, but there are ceiling fans and box fans to help out. We enjoyed listening to the ocean waves in the evening at the complex. The complex itself is really well maintained. The grills, laundry, tables and chairs are well kept.

The property is beautiful, right next to parking and the on the beach it made loading and unloading easy. It is quiet, comfortable, and a little secluded from all the tourists areas, every time we went swimming we almost had a big piece of the beach to ourselves, and the salt water pool was also warm and very enjoyable everyday. Relaxing on the patio was a awesome place to end our days from the beach. Jon was very responsive to all our needs and helped us out with any issues we had .Overall, our visit was amazing and we definitely look forward to visiting again. Thank You

Property was as advertised, very clean, and in good repair. It is obvious the owner has put a lot of time, effort, and expense making this a great vacation rental. I've stayed in 15-20 VRBO rentals over the last 20 years and this one is the best by far. From the fruit/cookies/juice gift basket to all the beach gear, nothing could improve this property. I would definitely come here again.

We had the most amazing trip for our first time in Maui. Jon was an excellent host and this spot is fantastic. Walk right to the beach from the property. Located between 2 towns so you have options on activities. Highly recommend staying here if you are a small group and want a fantastic visit.

We really enjoyed the updated decor of the unit as well as the super close access to the beach. The condo complex is nice and quiet and at the ned of the road so not a whole lot of traffic. Not many other places on the island that you can stay without having a major road between you and the beach.

I highly recommend this vrbo. Bill was friendly and very easy to work with. There was a welcome basket and the kitchen was stocked with the basic necessities. I don’t have any complaints. The view was absolutely gorgeous. I loved falling asleep and waking to the sound of the ocean. The condo is right on the beach so it is easy to go back and forth. The location on the island was ideal for the activities that my family and I did while on vacation. Don’t hesitate. Book with Bill!

Great location, last Condos on dead end road. Near Maui Aquarium, easy drive anywhere. Right on ocean, salt water pool. On site managers amazing, we loved the crowing roosters! If you go where they live, expect and enjoy it. Easy parking lot, grounds always clean and mowed, just planted more foliage

Great place with amazing views! Beach was never crowded, and there was a family of sea turtles that hung out right there (we enjoyed watching them play in the waves from our lanai)! The Maalaea harbor with all of the snorkeling and whale watching cruises, as well as the aquarium, is walking distance away. Despite being a slightly longer walk to the harbor than many of the other condos (15-20 mins), it looked like the Makani a Kai was the only set of condos that had direct beach access from the property.
The condo was the perfect size for our family of 4.
There is plenty to see snorkeling right off the beach. Plenty of tropical fish swimming right off the shore, and our daughters had a sea turtle swim only a few feet away from them while they were snorkeling in waste deep water!

We liked the location and thought the condo was spacious. It was nice to be able to walk the beach every day. The air conditioner was not working, which they told us before we arrived. It was only an issue when would leave the condo and at night when the sliders and door is closed, there is no airflow so it gets quite warm, didn’t really think of that. Didn’t really pay attention that the picture of the washer and dryer was not in the condo, so paid to use the community one. We had quite a bit of noise from the condo above us, it would be early in the morning and later at night. Overall we were happy with it and would stay again and recommend.

This property is in Maalaea, which is centrally located coming from the airport. There isn't much as far as restaurants in the area like there is in Kihei or Lahaina. It is near a beach that is okay and the lanai does face the ocean. The Maui Ocean Center is nearby and the harbor for departure of whale tours.
The condo itself is okay. The carpet is old and very dated. Having the master bedroom on the second floor isn't great if you have trouble climbing stairs. The fan in the upstairs loft squeaks and is annoying if left on all night. When all the lights are out, the condo is very dark. We had to leave the light on the microwave on so we could see where we were going at night. Some night lights would have been nice. The fact it is air conditioned was welcomed.
The upstairs queen bed was comfortable. Not sure about the other two twin beds.
The separate laundry was not the best. You have to pay through an app and it charges fees to upload money to start the machines.
The condo complex it is located in is small compared to others in the area. It is located next door to a public parking lot for the beach.

Felt like staying at an old run down place with dated furniture. Vibe of the neighborhood was also scratchy at Maalaea beach with public beach next door. Felt like lot of homeless folks were parking them right outside the unit. Moved out of unit right next day, mgt team would not offer any refunds.

This was a perfect location. Loved walking the beach everyday and watching whales right from the lanai. The property was very well taken care of and it was convenient to get around everywhere. As one of the residents told us it is like Maui was 30 years ago… not an overly commercialized area. We had a few issues with the condo but management was very responsive.
