What a lovely unit, we were really happy staying here. The beds are very comfortable, kitchen is well equipped. It's a short walk to end of the street and a beautiful beach park. The unit is nicely equipped with beach toys. Mahalo to Barb and Larry for sharing their Hawaii Hale!

It is hard to put into words what a wonderful time we had in Barb and Larry's little slice of paradise. The condo is central and easy to access everything we wanted. The Road to Hana, sunrise at Haleakala, beaches in South Maui, Luau in Lahaina, and more beach days in West Maui were all easy drives.
The best feature of this condo was that the beach is steps from the property. We went on many family walks on the beach, saw turtles swimming in the water by the condo, and just had fun playing in the warm ocean. Dining on the lanai while watching the waves crash upon the shore never got old.
The air conditioner kept us comfortable.
Barb and Larry were fabulous hosts. They provided detailed information before arrival, and also responded to emails with tips for things to do. We had a minor issue with a toilet, and they responded right after we texted, getting a plumber to the condo within an hour of communication. They followed up afterwards to make sure everything was ok. Barb and Larry also allowed us a late check out since they didn't have anyone coming that day-it was so helpful with our red eye flight.
Not really negatives, but rather things to know: the pool is wonderful, but there are signs up throughout the condo and on the pool that there are no toys, floaties, fins allowed. And, there is only one area that provides shade. This may be important to consider for families with babies/small kids.
We highly recommend this condo and can't wait to return!

This is an amazing property. Perfect location. Right on the beach listen to the waves at night. The beach is over two miles long for walking. Snorkeling right off condo with turtles. Beautiful views.

Everything you would want in a Condo. Great location, compy beds plenty of admenties. Smell and hear the ocean at all times.
Condo, grounds and pool were well maintained. Will tell my friends about this Condo and will deffitently be back. Took the sunset cruise out of the Harbor on Pride of Maui fun time had by all. Local resraurants and store are worth a visit.

Communication with owners was very good. Best thing about the condo…watching whales from our deck.

John, Zoyia (my neighbours) and myself (Al) spent from Oct 30 to Nov 4 in this delightful condo on our way back home from spending 10 days on the big island of Hawaii. The condo was on the 3rd level providing a great view of the ocean and the south end of the island. Less than 20 minutes from the airport it was quite easy to find. Also, being on a dead end street it was wonderfully quiet. The unit seemed quite well equipped but except for breakfast we never cooked any meals inside or used the community BBQ which like the grounds was meticulously maintained. The pool area seemed very nice, but there was no shade except under a few palm trees nearby. The beach itself was very close but due to a big storm last summer somewhat difficult to access especially at high tide. However a short 5 minute walk to the the end of the street was Haycroft Park where there was lots of shade and lots of beach to enjoy.
The only downside would be that although the unit does have A/C it is a window unit which was very efficient but could not manage cooling down the entire unit. Consequently the 2nd bedroom was quite warm. This was somewhat mitigated by opening the second bedroom windows and the door to the patio giving a nice crossflow of wind in the evening. In summary a very nice, comfortable, quiet condo with a great view and exceptionally wonderful hosts.

This property is cute and the king size beds are awesome and comfortable. They really try to think of everything for their guests and have a lot of things available to use, such as oil for cooking, pool toys, laundry pods, etc. The cleaning person missed a decent amount of hair on the floor in the back bathroom but other than that this place was very clean. The air conditioning isn’t as strong as we are used to and with me being very pregnant that was hard but we made it work with the multiple fans they have available to use. Sleeping at night was fine with the fans and breeze from the ocean but the sun comes in harshly during the day in the back bedroom and you’ll want to move the large portable fan to the bathroom if you spend time getting ready in there. No big complaints though! The owners are super kind and helpful and care about their guests and I feel good that we supported them verses a large hotel!

This condo was really well managed. The property owners were so kind and responsive with their communication and even gave us helpful hints about Maui. The condo was stocked with everything you could need. We've never stayed in a condo so stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, ziplocks, garbage bags, laundry pods, etc. All of the things we've normally had to bring ourselves. The complex was clean and the patio/pool area was great for grilling at home. Highly recommend this property.

This was a perfect place for our stay in Maui. The location was excellent and the place was clean and staying there was super relaxing.
If there were two things I would suggest to improve the overall experience, they would be 1) Add portable AC units to the rooms. The main AC unit in the living room didn't really cool the bedrooms at night and the air outside was too humid to do the trick. And 2) Consider better mattresses at least in the master bedroom. The mattress was much softer than other rental places we stayed during our trip.
Minor issues overall and the location, cleanliness and amenities more than impressed the family. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Maui.

Inviting from the moment you step in the front door! This open floor plan has tastefully modern decorated Hawaii-themed space throughout. The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare and serve local finds. You can enjoy dining on the Lanai or dining room. The ocean breeze means you do not need the AC and can open the Lanai and front door to listen to the ocean and palm trees. The three televisions enable everyone to enjoy screen time.
In the mornings, it's fantastic to walk steps to the beach and enjoy a morning g swim or snorkel (gear available in-unit!) Or run down the miles of empty beach looking for turtles. A truly fantastic, upgraded, and wonderful unit on a beautiful property on Maui. Mahalo!

Out family had an absolutely wonderful time on Maui and staying in this property. The property has east access to the entire island and is just a short drive from the airport. The owners have truly done an amazing job providing everything one would need on a Maui vacation. The beach access is a little challenging but was clearly communicated by the owners before check in, it is just a short walk to gain access not a big deal at all. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Maui.

We were so lucky to wake up to the beautiful view from the Lanai every morning, and be close enough to the ocean to hear the waves!! We loved walking the long quiet beach, playing in the pool, and being central to most outings. Many thanks to Barb and Larry for their flexibility with our booking, and allowing us to hang on for 2 years to finally get here! It was worth the wait! Although Ma’alaea seems windier than other locations, we would definitely stay here again because of the beautiful beach steps away, and the quiet property! Thank you for sharing your condo with us!!

My family of three had a great stay at this condo. It had a comfortable, clean, living space for us to hang out in the condo and easy walks down the beach. We also enjoyed using the pool and condo barbecue. The condo is a great location to explore the island by car. The condo had everything we needed for the beach (we used picnic coolers, chairs, towels, sand toys, and boogie boards). The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans etc for cooking breakfast and dinner. Owners were very responsive to questions. All in all, a fantastic stay, and we would stay here again.

Being older experienced visitors to Maui we knew being close to the beaches would be a difference experience to Upcountry. How pleased we were to find that our location was a close to anything we needed - the area Silas serene and quiet, away from busy streets in the evening. The beach was steps away and never crowded - the whales played in the bay almost daily! Our rental was perfect - the lanai to sit and watch the sunrise over Haleakala then out of the afternoon sun.

Clean, organized and stock with all the goodies, this gem of a condo sits on a practically private beach with the best calm water! Location was perfect! We loved having both sides of the island just a short drive away. We enjoyed many sunrises over Haleakala and took to Kalepolepo Beach Park, a short 10min drive for sunsets. What a dream vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the condo hosted by Barbara and Larry. The beds were very comfortable. The ceiling fans and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep. We started most mornings with a walk on the beach. Beach chairs and towels were a big plus for our group. The pool was inviting and grounds were well maintained. The condo was fully stocked with everything you may need to supplement your groceries. The condo was centrally located on Maui for our trips to Hana, Haleakala, Iao Valley, Lahaina, Napili Bay, Kaanapali, Kihei, Makawao, and Paia. Barbara was responsive to any questions. I highly recommend this condo.

This property worked out wonderfully for our family of 6. Check-in and -out was very simple and the location was great with all of the beautiful beaches nearby and centrally located to many activities. The apartment has everything anyone could need from a well-stocked kitchen to beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, and toys. There is a beautiful view from the balcony and the breeze through the apartment was great. My family preferred to use the window a/c unit to sleep. It seems meant to only cool the living area but it kept the bedrooms reasonably cool at night with the additional fans. I would definitely stay again!

My family shared this condominium with my sister and her family. This condo was perfect and had EVERYTHING we needed. Kids loved staying here! Location is amazing and the view from balcony was fantastic. I already told my friends and coworkers to stay if they go to Maui. We would come back and stay at this condo again!

The condo was absolutely wonderful! Well equipped and supplied. Watching whales from the lanai, walking the 4 1/2 mile beach, and convenience to other areas of the island were highlights. The third floor on the west side was great. View was unobstructed by the trees and we had the morning sun, not the hot afternoon sun. Great community feel around the pool and grills. Lots of friendly people. Will want to return!

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks stay at the condo. Our only disappointment is that there is no more beach in front of the condo, seems to have been washed away. But you only have a little walking to do to have access to the other part of the beach! We saw whales directly from the lanai, it was amazing! I recommend this paradise to anyone who wants to escape the cold winter :)

We love staying at the Kanai A Nulu and this unit is one of our favorites. The view from the lanai is breathtaking. The condo overlooks the pool and beautifully manicured grounds, and is literally just a few hundred feet to the ocean. The beach in front of the complex is perfect for families. The waves are gentle and we saw turtles, seals and whales without leaving the property. We went snorkeling, right in front of the condo and saw a lot of different fish. One day we rented kayaks and paddled around the bay. A short walk to the Maui Ocean Center is a fun way to spend the day. The condo is stocked with sand toys, boggie boards, beach chairs, and even a cooler for picnics at the beach. We loved having king beds in both bedrooms that were comfy. This unit has been recently remodeled and the owners Larry and Barb have done a wonderful job decorating it. The condo was the perfect home away from home and we thank Larry and Barb for sharing!

We can't say enough about our positive experience at your lovely condo. Everything was so neat, tidy and CLEAN and even though we weren't actually in the room much, we were very impressed with the electronics. The best part was sitting on the lanai sipping our morning coffee, watching the sunrise over the water and listening to the surf. Sure hope we can come back some day. Perfect location to go any direction on the island, and secluded from noisier more 'touristy' areas on Maui.

We have found a new "home away from home" in this condo and will be sure to return! Where to begin - wonderful, central location (also within walking distance of a wonderful little general store that serves the best shaved ice that happens to be across the street from the harbor where we took our guided snorkeling trip), the cleanliness of the condo (and I am a purported "neat freak"), the all inclusive amenities (dishes, pots & pans, spices for cooking, snorkeling gear, portable coolers along with beach towels, etc), immediate access to the beach and pool without having to share it with a million other tourists (and we were there during spring break!), and the condo itself (with a gorgeous view of the ocean) was very quiet and well insulated. You couldn't hear your neighbors at all! Also, I usually do NOT sleep well outside of my own bed, but these beds are amazingly comfortable. I could go on and on. We will return for a longer trip next time!

We loved our week at this condo which was centrally located & very quiet at the end of a fun-filled busy day of sightseeing. We loved having our own beautiful beach & ocean view from the condo. The condo had everything you could possibly need. Everything you could need when going to the beach was there for you to use. We were so surprised to find we didn't 't even have to buy the laundry detergent or dryer sheets. It was provided for us. Very clean also which we really appreciated!
