Paradise Found was the absolute perfect place for our quiet Christmas getaway. The condo is small but feels spacious with the way it is set up. The decor is clean but comfortable and homey. It had everything we needed to cook meals with a few extra special touches from our hosts.
The view from the lanai is incredible - we had our morning coffee, ate several meals, and played games looking out at gorgeous sugar beach and the Pacific Ocean.
We will definitely stay again!

The rental process is very easy. We've vacationed many times at Kiehi Beach Resort through Destination Maui. We've stayed in #302 many times, but this time the unit looks worn and tired. The living room furniture is so uncomfortable and needs replacing badly. We won't be renting this unit again because of the uncomfortable seating. The grounds of the building aren't kept up as nicely as when Justin was the onsight manager. The stair wells are filthy and need steam cleaned. The new elevator is nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming condo! It is exactly as the pictures show with beautiful decor and gorgeous view of the lawn, Maalaea Bay and sunsets. The kitchen is well equipped - we had all of our breakfasts and half of our dinners 'at home'. The beach front location is fantastic for morning walks and swimming. The pool is small but well maintained and was never too busy. The king size bed is very comfortable. We stayed 17 nights, so the washer/dryer came in handy! Darla was a fantastic host, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. There was noise from the very busy road, as mentioned in the condo description, but the a/c fan and sound machine made it easy to sleep. We will be back.

Location was perfect! Corner view of pool and ocean was beautiful.
The unit though... The bedroom with the queen bed had NO a/c and the ceiling fan barley moved. The bedroom with the twin beds had a/c. We've been married 40 some years, go to Maui to celebrate our retirement and had to sleep in separate beds !! That really upset us. During our welcome walk through the evening we arrived the welcoming man mentioned it and honestly we didn't think anything about it. Then a couple hours later it was so horriblely hot in the condo we knew the a/c was going to be a huge problem. IT WAS!
No ceiling fan in the bathroom or kitchen.
The couches where so uncomfortable we sat on the dinning room table chairs in the evenings.

My wife and I spent almost two weeks in Maui at this apartment. The location, a ground floor apartment on the beach, was great. The apartment itself was passable, but only just.
Pros:
Location. We could walk out of sliding doors to the beach in under 30 seconds. The beach itself was clean and pleasant. Breakfast on the patio was fantastic.
Amenities. The apartment is furnished with most of what you need, from a washer/drier, dishwasher, pots and pans, a wide assortment of utensils, to good internet, etc.
Cons.
We found the check-in (and check-out) process to be somewhat irritating. Over communication about the rules and warnings, a requirement to constantly send updated travel information, ongoing marketing emails while you’re there and afterwards (I eventually unsubscribed), and a strong push to get you out of the apartment ASAP the last morning (“please feel free to select your checkout time from 6AM - 10AM!). The tone always implied Aloha, but each step in the communication process benefited just the manager/owner and eventually became a pebble in our vacation shoes.
Cleanliness. Maui is expensive. Surely for that price you could afford to do a periodic deep clean. Apartment was tidy and acceptably clean on the surface, but every corner is old and grimy. Windows and window sills need scrubbing. It smelled faintly of mildew. This was the dirtiest place I’ve stayed in a long time.
Updates. Similar to above. The fridge is dying and it constantly screams in its swan song. The first night we actually thought it was an animal outside the apartment. Plastic dishes. Old linens. It just seemed like someone’s dream apartment from 20 years ago, only now the dream was frayed and old.
We would absolutely go back to Maui. Despite the location and conveniences, we wouldn’t stay here. 3 stars.

The Kealia Resort is a nice quiet location at the north end of chain of resorts spanning down Kihei road. The Sugar beach is in your backyard which you can stroll along the soft white sand or just sit and relax in the beach chairs provided in the unit.Close by is an ABC Store, Sugar Beach Bake Shop(The Malasadas there are excellent), and Ululani's Hawaiian Shaved Ice.Grocery stores and restaurants are a 5-10min drive down Kihei Rd.The unit was nice and roomy, comfy bed, AC, and a full kitchen. We ate breakfast daily out on the patio with the ocean as our backdrop. Be wary of the chicken that roam the outside, they will try to steal you breakfast if you're not paying attention.The room has beach equipment that you can use. We only used the beach chairs and and umbrella, they were well used and probably should be replaced soon, but they served their purpose.Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay!

Just spent a week at this condo and it was beyond perfect. Right away we felt so comfortable and right at home and never wanted to leave. The condo was super clean and the view was to die for. My sister and I stayed here in March. Our view from the balcony was awesome! The condo was an a central location to everything and not long of a drive to other parts of the island. As others have described the condo needs an update/renovation as the building is rundown, we didn’t mind much as we were always out and about. We appreciated the beach chairs, umbrellas, pool noodles, and cooler you could use. We didn’t swim at this beach as it had a high tide. Check-in was easy and the manager was very responsive with any questions. We enjoyed our stay but for the condition of the condos not sure if we would stay here again unless they are renovated.

My stay at this apartment in Maui was truly a dream vacation. The oceanfront views were absolutely breathtaking, and watching the sunset from the apartment was a daily highlight. Waking up to the stunning sunrise colors over the ocean was equally beautiful. The apartment itself was incredibly comfortable, cozy, and exceptionally well-equipped. The only minor hiccup was the occasional issue with the water supply, which came and went, causing temporary inconveniences. However, it was a minor blip in an otherwise perfect experience. We loved our stay in this nicely outfitted condo just steps away from the pool and the soft, sandy beach. It's perfect for 2 people; I think it would be tight for 3. But many full wall mirrors and windows bring in lots of light and help the small unit feel spacious and airy. The bed was large and very comfortable. Quality of linens and towels is high, and it was nice surprise to find available snorkel gear, beach chairs, cooler, pool noodles, and boogie boards in the closet for use!I'd go back to this unit again. Only disappointment was there didn't seem to be an exterior light for the lanai, so couldn't sit outside after dark.

OVERALL: From 9/20/2023-9/24/2023 in room 203, I enjoyed my stay despite minor disruptions that were resolved during the stay (faulty bathroom vanity light, broken coffee maker, etc.). Our unit was on the second floor overlooking the pool and beach. The views could be seen from the front door, through the kitchen and the living room/dining room. I appreciated the white kitchen and organization updates in the kitchen (esp the drawer and cabinet pull-outs). I liked that the bedroom had a large window view of the ocean and trees. It was very convenient that the unit had its own beach towels, beach chairs (with straps as an attached backpack), umbrellas, and small cooler that we took to the local beaches including the one right outside. Once we touched base with the front desk manager, she was a fount of great information and recommendations. The bedroom was large, had a window with a view of the trees and ocean (it also had a camera that looks right into the bedroom so could that be changed please?) and had a futon in the sitting area (for extra sleeping spaces - good idea). CONS: Cleanliness was not up to par. I swept the entire unit within hours of arrival and found dirt (not just sand) on the floor). I handwashed the few plates, mugs, classes and silverware we did use before using them as they seemed dirty/spotty; I handwashed them afterwards. I did not use the dishwasher while there. The bathroom was clean. Although not all the dresser's drawers worked, there was still enough space to unpack some items and the bedroom was clean. The only other downside was that the bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. We could feel the springs through it so it's time to replace that. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Absolutely love this condo. The ocean views were outstanding, I dare say the best of the 4 places we stayed in the Hawaiian island. A beautiful light breeze filled the rooms and were we very comfortable. Loved how quiet it was and we fell asleep every night listening to the ocean waves. The sunset view from the lanai were far the best sunsets we’ve ever seen. The only thing I would mark the condo do for was the shower which could use some cleaning attention. Other than that it was a perfect place to call home for a few days.
The location was perfect to day trips. For the three tours that pick us up, we were the last ones picked and first ones dropped off due to our location. Everyone else was staying in Wailea. We liked that especially when on the RTH trip and the sunrise tour. We got a little extra sleep those mornings.

We had a great 8 day stay in the condo. It is right on the beach with great sunset views. Close to Kihei and Wailea where there are lots of great restaurants and additional beaches to check out. Very close to Maalea where the excursion boats leave from (because Lahaina harbor was closed due to the fire).
Check in was easy. Condo was clean and well appointed. Really appreciate the beach towels, chairs, umbrella and coolers.
Underground parking for our rental, nice pool area and outdoor chairs.
Really enjoyed breakfast on the balcony with the view.
Would recommend a dish drying rack and trash can for the bedroom.

We had a fantastic stay! The listing is accurate to reality. Having a full kitchen and laundry in unit was so convenient. We were able to hit Safeway for groceries and cook the majority of our meals including grilling down at the shared resort bbqs while watching the sunset. The building is older on the exterior but the unit itself is charming and well appointed. King sized bed was super comfy, we slept fantastically. Being right on the beach was super convenient, we SUP’d every morning or did yoga on the lawn or a beach walk before heading out for the day. When the wind picked up at the beaches elsewhere on the island, it was nice to come back to the complex in the afternoon and relax on a chaise lounge or in the pool. Ocean views were beautiful, fellow neighbors were friendly and it gives a very cozy, low key vibe compared to the other large complexes. Location was fantastic in our opinion…easily drivable to Lahaina, Kihei proper, Kahului or Wailea area. Not a lot walkable other than an excellent bakery, shave ice and ABC store but that’s what we loved about it… much quieter than being in the center of Kihei. Having a car is good for this location. Checkout Dina’s Sand Witch shop in the resort next door. Delicious. Kitchen was fully stocked, we were left wanting nothing. AC units are available, which I intentionally booked because I’m pregnant and we didn’t use them once bc of the wonderful trade winds. Ocean sounds to lull us to sleep. Will be back!

This condo is truly paradise found! My husband and I stayed here for 9 nights and cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay on the island for our first trip to Maui! We were in awe with how close the condo is to the beach and the view from the lanai is absolutely breathtaking! A highlight of our stay was falling asleep listening to the sounds of the ocean waves every night!
The condo looks exactly as shown, as described. The condo was very clean and very well organized; it is so cozy and very relaxing! The condo is very close to the airport and so easy/convenient to get to Wailea-Makena, Paia, the road to Hana and road to Haleakala.
Frank and Sandy are amazing hosts and excellent communicators who have gone above and beyond to make their condo feel like a home to their guests and are extremely welcoming! From the personalized welcome message on the dry board, the Safeway grocery store member card to use, the welcome basket full of local goodies including a bottle of champagne and bag of ice in freezer, to the handwritten welcoming notes, they truly care for their guests and want to make your stay perfect! They have everything and more you will need for your stay to cook if you choose (we loved using the Vitamix every AM for smoothies), doing laundry, and hanging at the beach (we used the boogie boards). Sugar beach was quiet and perfect for walking the beach and for swimming.

We had everything we needed and more for our week long vacation/ 10 year anniversary trip. The condo is very well stocked with everything we needed and then some. We have an almost private beach & pool every day during our visit. Our hosts we very quick to answer any questions that we had & even suggested a wonderful restaurant while there. We were there during the tragic fires on Maui & our hosts were very flexible with our ever changing departure date & times. We really appreciated that during such a very unsure time. We would love to return this wonderful location on another trip back to Maui

The unit was as same as advertised/pictured. Bed is very comfy (King size). The bathroom is clean with a small window, and the water pressure is great; no mold/mildew and clean tiles. A specious living room leading to a balcony with the great ocean view that can be seen from the living room's huge windows too. In balcony to your left, you see the highway and the Haleakala crater (mountain), which they can be seen from the bedroom's window also. The cars' sounds didn't bother me in the balcony due to the beautiful ocean's sound. No cars' sounds behind the closed window in the bedroom. In fact, the lawn mower and blower's sounds twice a week were stressful in the morning while I was drinking my coffee and listening to the ocean, but I understand they had to take care of the lawn/garden. There are two beach chairs & one umbrella in the house. No magnify mirror in the bathroom. The kitchen has appliances & all kinds of dishes/pots/utensils. The location is great and 5 min. drive (10 min. walk) to Sugar Beach Baker for coffee and pastry and/or ABC store to find sunscreen, swim items, food, water, & more and/or the small farmer market to buy fresh fruits/veg. Drive 30 min. north to get to Lahaina to visit its beautiful city & shopping- street/park/restaurants/harbor. Or, drive toward south to explore amazing beaches, stores/restaurants. Kealia resort has a quiet & less crowded front beach and far to the left in the ocean you can see the Molikini island and Halealawa island. This ocean is ideal for swimming. The only issue I had in the unit was the small, tiny, & speedy ants in the kitchen. They were on the walls next to the washing machine, refrigerator, and a few found in the bathroom. I used bug spray (was under the sink). They were gone for a few days but reappeared again. I wrote a note for the staff. So many pluses. The view, beach walking, great location. Close to the airport and all routes to the popular to do activities. We loved it here. It was very well stocked and the appliances were in great shape. Our sons family stayed in a different unit thought our unit was nicer.

The location is perfect in terms of proximity to the beach, stores/restaurants, and other areas of the island, including the airport. You can walk to a beach rental store, one restaurant, a convenience store, farmers market, and shave ice place within 5 minutes. We've stayed at the property next door, so knew the area was awesome--this is top priority when we book in Hawaii.
The condo itself is not great. We are not fussy lodgers--we're (relatively) young and don't need a big condo, fancy furniture or amenities. We appreciated the beach equipment (boogie boards, chairs, snorkeling gear, towels, coolers--an umbrella would be a nice addition) and the prompt response from the manager in replacing a broken fan. Overall, however, this place was below our expectations compared to other condos we've rented on VRBO on Maui and other islands, for a few reasons. It was surface-level clean, but is in need of a deep clean (couch, blinds were a bit dingy). When we pulled out the sofa bed, it was dusty with stains on the mattress pad. This was disappointing because we would've slept on the sofa bed otherwise--the regular bed is absolutely awful. Again, we are in our 30s and typically have no issues with beds in hotels/condos--this was almost un-sleepable. Neither of us slept comfortably the entire time, which was a huge bummer for what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. It was bad enough that, despite the amazing location and relatively decent price, we wouldn't stay here again.

The unit is clean . The towels and linens clean . Supplies complete . View is amazing . ABC store , farmers market and shave ice is just across the street . The beach is not clear waters . Love watching the canoers in the morning . Overall ok . Only feedback is we saw a used boxer and T-shirt inserted one of the beach chairs. The public laundry is very dirty . This Kihei property is just perfect! Sandy and Frank have gone above and beyond to provide their guest with all the amenities you might need for a beach vacation! (Beach Chairs, coolers, boogie boards, and much more) Their condo has direct access to a beautiful and quiet beach. The waves are very gentle. Just right for a relaxing day! Sandy and Frank also make themselves available if you have any issues or questions. We will definitely be returning to this property again in the near future!

Absolutely perfect spot! Condo was exactly as described. Location was perfect - the beach was literally like 20 steps away. It was never crowded or busy, the kids and I had the beach to ourselves most of the time. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. I spent every morning drinking coffee and watching the canoe club go out and come back from the lanai. I've stayed in lots of spots in Kihei, but this one is by far my favorite - it was close enough to all the action (stores, restaurants, etc) but not right in the middle of it. The property had everything we needed to enjoy some meals at home and play at the beach. There were boogie boards, pool noodles, beach chairs, ample towels, and a beach umbrella - everything you need for fun at the beach or pool. There was plenty of space for myself and two teenagers. The instructions to park and access the property were clear and easy to follow. It was nice having a reserved parking spot so close to the elevator. Thank you Gage and Andrew for sharing your home with us! We had a fabulous time and truly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely book here again when we return!

Lydia’s condo unit was perfect for our 6 day stay on Maui! It was a beautifully kept unit and stocked with all the amenities (plus some) that we needed. We loved sitting out on the lanai and having coffee, relaxing right outside the unit on Sugar Beach, and the location allowed us to be centrally located to catch all we wanted on the island (Road to Hana - highly recommend Maui Skydive, Honolua Bay, Lahaina - for sunset sail, Waihee Ridge Trail, shopping in Paia…). We were absolutely amazed by this apartment by the sea! Well equipped and as described on the website.
This apartment is not sea front, but we still can see and hear the sea very loudly. The only inconvenient is that we could also hear the road a little bit when there was trafic.
Very easy check-in process with the management team. The communicated with us before we got there and we didn't have to search for information. It definitely made our stay easier.

First off, the view from this rental is stunning. You are right on your very own, very private beach. You won't need your noise machine to sleep here because the ocean waves are right outside your window. The location is great because you are minutes from Big Beach, which has been named the most beautiful beach on the island. Plus it's easy to get to all the tourist attractions in the northwest part of the island. For the rental itself, it was very nicely equipped. All the cooking utensils you need and some surprise benefits like chairs to take to the beach, sunscreen available, and even beach towels for you to use. The washer and dryer were great and allows you to pack less than you normally would. They even had beach totes available to pack up everything you would need for a day at the beach. Plus, two air condition units in the rental allows you to keep it as cool as you could want. Any negatives with this rental were very minor. They have a small cooler available for use, which we used every day, but the top is ripped, so it doesn't stay sealed, but it kept our things cool. The garage door opener was held together with tape, so it had a tendency to come apart on us, but we found more tape in the unit and reinforced it and it did fine. But the fact that it has a garage door opener lets you know that you have underground garage parking, which is extremely nice and keeps your car cool. I would definitely stay here and recommend it to anyone who is visiting Maui.

This property was perfect for our stay. The inside looks exactly like the pictures, very clean and had everything we needed. Cooler / beach chairs , coffee pot etc…the beach is literally down stairs walking distance and any questions I had Lydia answered at any time. She was great. The outside is not the fanciest looking place but still safe. All the food spots are down the street from this place. Airport is about a 15 min drive :) would stay here again!
