We had a great time in Kauai, and this property was wonderful for us. My only complaint is that it was extremely hot inside the unit during the day. We chose this place because it said it had AC, but it was only in the bedroom. Luckily, we located several fans throughout the unit and we weren’t there much during the day. Despite that, the location was great, and the view was breathtaking. We would definitely recommend this place to others traveling to Kauai.

We decided to go to Kauai, needing rest! This was a great place for us to get it. It was clean, located centrally, and we loved that the ocean was right in view, and so close! We were appreciative to have a stocked kitchen (except for condiments and coffee), and we used it regularly. There are some very good restaurants in the area, and a lovely farmers market a short walk away. We made good use of the pool, which was steps away from our door. The apartment is a bit on the dark side, but it's well-lit with lamps and overhead lights.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon to relax and explore Kauai. The location of the property was amazing. For seeing the whole island, it cut down drive time to visit each town. Within walking distance there was great beaches and shopping to visit. This property had everything we needed with washer and dryer, beach chairs, towels, a pool, incredible view and sounds of the waves crashing. The condo is a bit dated but was comfortable for our stay. We would have loved our booking note to be addressed and more information for check out. Otherwise we had a great stay!

I cannot express enough, how beautiful and breathtaking the view was from our balcony. When I saw that it was ocean view, I figured you might be able to see a glimpse of the ocean. I never expected to see the beach with the waves crashing in the beauty of the ocean, the palm tree, everything that you could ever dream of it was like a painting in real life! The check-in was so easy the people who manage the property were so kind and helpful beyond what they needed to be. When we walked into our vacation rental, Music was playing setting the mood for our tropical paradise. The air conditioner in the bedroom worked amazingly. We frequently use the VBRO and this was by far the best one we’ve ever rented and not the most expensive either. I will for sure stay here again when we return!

The place is just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay. It has a beautiful view. It's right off main road along beach, but the crashing waves drown out the traffic. Good location - easy access to everything. Not everything is up to date, but it was nice and had all the conveniences & amenities, all in working order. AC in bedroom cools the room well. Living areas have fans only (including portable fan stored in closet). We opened windows for cross breeze and ran the fans and were comfortable (in May). Seems common in Hawaii. We did stay in room much since we were busy exploring, hiking, boating, dining out, etc., so we didn't use everything in the room. The island is beautiful and well worth the cost to vacation there.Thank you!

The owners ( Regina & Scott) always update and maintain their places. It is right next to the ocean and the waves breaking is a constant sound that we love. They also supplied beach chairs, beach towels and snorkeling gear. The grounds are also very well kept up. We have also stayed at place on the big island in Kona that the owners also own which was also spectacular.

This was our second visit to Kauai. We spent time south and north. This place is right in the middle. Short drive to great food and grocery store. The oceanfront views are fantastic and path to beach is short. Would absolutely stay here again.

The apartment was well laid out. Everything had been thought of in the kitchen and for the beach (chairs, umbrella, etc.). The view of the sea is beautiful. The contact was very nice and someone came over right away. Unfortunately, a main road runs past the house and the noise is quite loud in the bedroom. My main criticism is the extremely unpleasant smell in the apartment: the old carpet, the ancient stove, and the towels stink as soon as they get wet. And when something fell under the bed, I was disgusted by the dirt underneath. The balcony chairs are completely rusted and my clothes now have rust stains. There's no clothes rack.

This property looks like the photos in terms of the interior. The exterior is well maintained with nice gardens and the pool is beautiful. The interior is as photographed, updated but used and worn, and since it is oceanfront, rust on everything metal (cabinet handles, lamp shades). Little things don't function well: ceiling fan wobbles and makes noise, the doorwall is ready to fall off the track. A big challenge is there is no way to keep the unit a comfortable temperature, windows open fan on & bedroom AC on door closed. The front has no AC and the ceiling fan needs replacing. The bedroom AC unit is gross, as in rusted and chunks of black crud flew out when I first turned it on, it is noisy, it cools but did nothing for the humidity (property manager promptly cleaned the unit but it needs to be replaced). The immediate area surrounding the complex is the biggest negative. There is an abandoned building (round structure, not pictured, abandoned for a long time) right at the edge of the complex and right next to the stairs to the beach. There are also several homeless people living in abandoned cars on the beach right next to the abandoned building. I've rented from VRBO for years, never had a problem like this, even in big, urban areas.The neighborhood gets better several blocks down, but right by this complex, it's sketchy & certainly not an enjoyable or safe feeling beach walk! The location is convenient but if I knew about the other things, I would rent elsewhere.

The lanai is were we spent the majority of our time while in the condo. We saw the occasional turtle, surfers, fisherman, and rain showers off in the distance. Grounds are beautiful. Pool was really nice. We grilled there a couple of evenings. Grills seem fairly new and were well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, and everything worked well. The extras like ice chest, beach chairs, and an umbrella really added to our enjoyment of Lydgate Park. I would love to stay here again someday!

There was a tree being taken down while we were there so parking was a problem & it was very noisy. Location matters and this one is not in a great area. The building is older and it looks dated and the area seems to have deteriorated with time. That said, the grounds and gardens that are managed by the building are beautifully maintained. The pool is gorgeous and it is gated and separated nicely from the parking lot and the road. The location is good in that the unit we rented overlooks the bay, it is centrally located to everything you want to see or do on Kauai and convenient to the airport. The bay is right by the highway and the beach area off the main road doesn't feel safe -- problems that impact enjoyment of a vacation rental property. There is a round, abandoned building covered in vines right at the stairway from the property to the beach (CREEPY) and there are a few people living in abandoned cars on the beach right by the abandoned building. There is also a construction area across the road doing something to another abadoned building, it's blocked off with black temporary fencing. So these things about the location really matter -- my husband likes to walk alone in the morning, but didn't because of the area. Had I know those things, I would not have rented in this building, especially since I learned after we arrived that I could rent a much nicer place, in a less gritty area a down the road for the same price! The side street behind the building has small businesses and down that street a bit further, there are lots of apartments and nice resorts/condos and a sidewalk along the beach (so things at least look nicer and feel safer for walking around). The unit itself is "tired" but it had all the basics for a vacation rental, things for the beach, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, small appliances, etc. and there is a small washer dryer in the unit (a key feature why I rented it). But, the other big negative for this unit is lack of air conditioning. The bay is fun to look at but the waves crash so it is loud day and night and the windows in the living area need to be open. There is a ceiling fan in the living area that rattles and vibrates but it is a necessity to move the air. The bedroom AC unit cooled but it is loud and it is sketchy with heavily rusted parts and things that can't be fixed. The breeze from the bay didn't cool the place enough to make it comfortable or get rid of the humidity and the AC helped the bedroom only. So most of the unit is hot and steamy and the bedroom is cool, but still humid. Not being able to get any area in the rental a comfortable temperature at the same time certainly didn't enhance the experience.

This was our first visit to Kauai and we loved staying here. The location is great. Right on the water without people walking behind the property and a short walk to Wailua beach. It is also about a mile from Lydgate Park which was a great place to swim and snorkel. The location has restaurants within walking distance and makes it easy to drive either north or south on the island.The condo has been recently updated and is very clean. The owners have thought of everything that you could possibly need in the condo. The washer and dryer were so convenient to have. The owners are very responsive and responded to several of our messages before and after we arrived. We also met their property manager who is also great. We not only loved beautiful Kauai, but were able to completely relax and enjoy the ocean sights and sounds from the condo. We will definitely stay here again when we go back.
