This location is perfect and convenient to visit all the different places in Kauai. It's also close to the airport which makes nice so you don't have to waste time driving. You will definitely need a car. The view was gorgeous and you could hear the ocean from the room. Loved having the beach towels and beach chairs to take to the beach. The whole resort is beautiful and the restaurants and pool bar were great. Loved that you can grab your Starbucks coffee each morning at the lobby store. Would definitely stay here again.

Liked the location. Property has some age to it, but it was clean and generally well maintained (did have a sticking door latch that had to be oiled twice to get it to work properly while there over course of 6 days). Would liked to have had a microwave in the room. Loved the view from our 2d story deck (ocean and approximately 5 acre grass area that the local birds used heavily. On site restaurant was pricey and fish and chips was bad, but the bar/food by the pools was good.

We had a great time. The unit was relatively clean and well maintained, but the location and access to the Outrigger resort's pool and beach was the highlight. Roosters woke us up early the first day but we were able to fix the problem for the rest of our stay by leaving the fans on at night to create some white noise. The only thing about the property that fell short was I was unable to locate the beach umbrella described in the apartment listing...otherwise the unit was well appointed and stocked with the essentials.

We had an amazing stay here! I love the location - not in an overpopulated area (vs Poipu) and is tucked away next to the ocean. Great location in a mid-point which makes it convenient for going to the North and West parts of the island. The room was a great size and space and had some ocean view which was wonderful! 10/10 highly recommend!

The condo was large for a one bedroom, very clean and the description of the unit was spot on. We have never been to a VRBO with so much provided for their guest. From the kitchen to the bathroom, if I did't pack it, it was available to use theirs. The bed is very comfortable and I liked the little makeup cove, in the hallway, was nice to have. I liked the location of the condo. It was close to the airport and we traveled up and down the coast, several times and it was centrally located. I think Kauai is our favorite of the Hawaii Islands. The green and lush natural landscape was one of our topics that we kept coming up in our conversation. We will be back.

We stayed here and for the most part this condo was great. It's clean, and has a great location, the grounds are manicured beautifully. Just a few suggestions: The screens on the shutters had come apart in a few locations. It took us a while to figure out where all the flies were coming from, but once we stopped opening the shutters, we were able to control the fly population. But we had to solely rely on AC instead of opening up the condo. Update the frying pans, and spatulas. We could not cook an egg on any of the pans without it sticking horribly, and the spatulas were so cheap that you couldn't really do much with them, they would bend at the handle.Those things being said, the condo is totally worth the stay.

This condo was a great fit for us for our visit to Kauai, we were there for 2 weeks and it was a really good central location for us to tour all areas of the island. Had all the immenities we needed for our stay. The buildings are older, but this unit was well maintained. Close access to the beach, close access to the BBQ cooking area, and access to the pool and hot tub were nice treats.

Overall, this was a great place to stay on Kauai near Lihue. Pros:- wonderful resort amenities; several hot tubs, several pools, plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for lounging, starbucks on site, beach access (though not swimmable, at least when we went in January)- resort staff was helpful and friendly- comfortable bed- enough beach towels and bath towels included- host was wonderful and let us have late check outCons:- Everything in the room was a bit outdated and somewhat shabby; would opt to stay in a room through the resort next time as I suspect they are more modern- 40 per day for parking (though this is pretty standard on Kauai, to pay for parking)- short drive to kapaa or lihue for foodd&drinks&entertainment; would prefer to stay in Kapaa next time so that we could walk to places rather than having to drive each timeOverall it was affordable, so pretty good value for the price

Our stay at the Villas was very fulfilling. The property offered free parking, towels to the pool, and a fun patio set to enjoy coffee on in the morning. We watched the chickens roam in the morning and enjoyed the views from the walk out porch. We found the pull out bed to be comfortable enough and convenient.The kitchen offered all utensils needed for both the kitchen and when we wanted to grill pool side. The AC worked amazing and our little one enjoyed the TV shows offered. WiFi seemed quick, and we loved having the washer and dryer available in our room.We wish there would have been more toilet paper, and paper towels left for us. We ended up having to purchase some of our own. I also felt some of the pictures were confusing when we booked. The Villas has a small pool and hot tub, but you have access to the Outrigger pools and hot tub along with the beach. In the closet we found beach chairs, snorkeling gear, a few sand pails, an umbrella, a cooler, and a play pen you could use during your stay.Over all great stay, and would be happy to book with them again!

The place is nicely located but needs upgrade. The washer and the sofa bed are old and need to be replaced. The sofa bed flexes even with our super thin 10 year old son and he basically slept with us in master because it was not meant to be used. The air conditioner makes noise too. The property was clean but overall expensive for the size and quality. Giving 4 stars because the outrigger resort access saved the day a bit. It’s managed by a property manager who is not on site. This was the perfect place for my friends and I. It’s in a prime location with the airport 7 minutes away with tons of food spots around. The beach is a 3 minute walk where the sunrise hits so beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here.

We loved the on-property Starbucks in the gift shop. The three restaurants were great options for staying on property. You can tell in its heyday this was a 5 star destination. It’s still a great property, but in need of updating. Excellent location on the island, only 10 minutes from airport and easy access to the rest of the island. Immaculate grounds. Excellent pools, but strong ocean currents make it a less desirable beach to swim at-use caution.

The villa was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Since we were here in November, the cooling units and ceiling fans available in the bedrooms were sufficient to keep the place at a comfortable temperature. I can imagine that the main area, which doesn't have air conditioning, might get a bit warm when the outdoor temperature is higher like in the summer. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, cups, glasses, etc. It had everything we needed.The only downside with the location of the property is that it's sometimes difficult to make a left turn onto the main road from the property. On some mornings, left turns were prohibited. That meant, making a right turn and driving down a bit until you can make another two turns to get onto the main road (i.e. left turn into a road/property, turn around, then right turn onto the main road). Besides that, the property is nicely located and it's easy to get to other places on the island.

We really enjoyed our time in Kauai! The island is beautiful. The resort is beautiful as well - very clean and gorgeous landscaping is well kept. A few nice food options on the resort. All staff was very kind and welcoming. The ocean view from the room is very nice - also overlooks the pool area. Great way to get the ocean view at a reasonable price. The room was nice enough - clean, smelled good… just a few features that could use a little updating. Overall we were very pleased with our stay, and would definitely stay again!
