Newly remodeled one bedroom. VERY CLEAN. Loved the beach chairs, cooler, umbrella and toys! Plenty of pillows and blankets. Murphy bed is very comfortable with a memory foam mattress. It is kinda tight in the living room for adults watching TV (it was shark week while we were there so Tv was a must lol)! . Of note: this condo is the furthest away from turtle Bay, but none of them are too far to walk!

After spending 4 nights in Waikiki, we spent the remaining 4 nights at Hale Honu. Laila was very responsive (even communicating Evacuation instructions during the Tsunami warning!). The condo had everything that we needed, including some fun beach toys, chairs and umbrellas. The location was a quick drive to the North Shore beaches, as well as a short walk to Turtle Bay and the respective walking trails.We had plenty of room for 4 adults, and would definitely stay here again.

The condo was very comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished with all you could need. The exterior of the buildings are a bit older but the grounds and pool area were very well kept. The location was great as we were able to walk to the hotel to get coffee and we really enjoy going to the beach there. There were only two things I wish were different. First is that they had a cup style coffee maker and either we missed this in the info or it wasn’t there, so we didn’t come prepared with enough coffee for our stay and the store is a far drive especially with traffic so that was a major bummer. The second is that there was a tsunami warning and we had to evacuate, but there wasn’t any information on where to go in the event of something like this. The management also didn’t reach out to us, but when I contacted them they provided us with good information fairly quickly. That was really just bad luck to be there for that as it’s a very rare event. Even so it would be smart to make that information apparent for guests. All in all I would definitely stay again and recommend this condo to friends.

Check in was super easy; the host provided all the info needed with great directions.The living room sleeper sofa was the best I have ever slept on! It wasn’t a saggy fold-up mattress; it was a firm surface. I may buy one for my own house! It was too hot for the kids to sleep upstairs, and the couches upstairs were not real beds (though my kids probably wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t so hot).

The perfect place for my family to stay in the North Shore. The place was clean, quiet, comfortable. It was a beautiful, short walk to the beach. It had everything we needed to enjoy a day at the beach. Kids complained that upstairs room did get pretty warm, even with the ac and fans running. But still comfortable. First of all, I hope that the property owner reads this. There were goods and bads to our stay here. First the goods – the property was clean. The one bed was comfortable, and the unit size was as described. Now the bad – false advertising on proximity to the ocean. Photos in advertising are not what you see from the unit. Instructions for entry into the unit are confusing. Main bathtub was filthy when we arrived. Hide a bed did not have blankets so our family had to sleep under multiple sheets for the first two nights. The sleeper sofa is ancient. The coffee maker did not work at all, and there was no description of what kind of coffee maker there was so we weren’t prepared. There is a barbecue, but when we went to use it, there was no hose connecting gas to the barbecue. Lighting down the stairs to the unit is inadequate the sooner or later someone’s going to trip and fall. In the welcome folder there is described two key fobs to be used, however, there are no key fobs. The welcome packet is so old that it has the original Wi-Fi user name and password, and then one written on a piece of paper and stapled to the folder. The pictures in the master bathroom have mold on them. Now the worst part of the entire visit. We went through what could’ve been the worst natural disaster since hurricane Ewa. We never received one phone call asking if we were OK or if we needed anything. Shameful. We will not be staying here again. Safety of your guests should be your top priority.

This was such a nice place. No mold, clean, spacious. Beautiful view in the back yard. Tons of kitchen stuff for cooking. Seems like they thought of everything! Beach chairs, boogie, boards, and snorkels to use! The AC was so nice! My family stayed in two other places and they were all jealous of ours. Location is so close to Turtle Bay. Also quiet. No noise above us. We hope to be back!

Great stay on the north shore of Hawaii. Although it is a 10 min. Walk to the beach, we always drive over to the resort parking and never had an issue finding a place to park. Being on the north shore, it gets you away from the large crowds of Honolulu, and really is a slow paced kind of vibe. So absolutely a great location. It’s not far from the Polynesian Cultural center (which is a must so if you’ve never been!). Place was clean. Check in/check out was easy, and the boat was really good with communication. We would absolutely stay here again.

This unit was perfect for our group of six (four adults and two kids). It was extremely well-stocked with everything we needed to use for the amenities on the property—pickleball, basketball, and tennis gear. Plus there were boogie boards, snorkels and fins for the beach. We loved the clean, comfortable space with great A/C and fans to stay cool. The patio overlooking the golf course had beautiful views, and the kids loved the loft bunk beds. Being within walking distance to the Ritz-Carlton and Turtle Bay was a bonus—we walked for coffee and snorkeled there often. We’d definitely stay here again!

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your unit. It was very nice and comfortable. It fit my sisters and I well. The upstairs bedroom did have a little issues. The AC did not work well, it was cool but did not get cold. Also, there was something going on in the ceiling. Every night there would be rubbish on the bed with what looked like dead black ants? Not sure if there was a nest in the ceiling and the dead ants were falling on the bed.

My kids had fun! It was a home away from home.Although we did not use the drawers and cabinets in the rooms, the dresser was wobbly which was kinda scary to me because I didn't want my kids and myself to touch it just incase the lamp upstairs fell over. The drawers of that dresser didn't work properly, another reason why I wouldn't have used it. The water pressure and just how the water came out in both showers was not to my liking at all. The shower upstairs kept only being hot or cold, nothing inbetween, no matter how slow I would be turning the knob to get warm water. So because of that it took me forever to take a shower. My husband though loves hot water so he was in heaven. The patio downstairs was heaven! I played games with my kids fresh air blowing through. There are 2 screen doors that could have been used to go in the back grass area but only one door worked which was a little irritating but not the end of the world. We loved how LeiLei's was right there! Probably our favorite feature of the stay😅. That and the pool of course! But actually the pool could be ALOT colder! That needs to change! I don't know why it's so warm🤢Other than that, we all had a blast! Gona book a stay again soon!🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

The location was great and the condo was conveniently organized for our family of 4 but unfortunately, we were disappointed in the kitchen facilities. It was our 3rd rental home in Hawaii in 2 weeks and it was the least equiped. No cutting board for food preparation, no left over salt/pepper, oil for base preparation was available. Also, we found out on the last day that there was a shuttle to the beach, it was never mentionned to us and would have used it had we known.

Our stay at the North Shore Barefoot Hideaway was great. The condo was very clean, cozy, and had all of the amenities needed for a vacation home away from home. Bitsy, the property manager is very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us. Waking distance to the beach and Turtle Bay Resort and centrally located in North Shore. Close to all the wonderful beaches, and short drives to Haleiwa and Kahuku. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location if you are looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. Many things to do within a 30 minutes drive on either side of the island. This unit needs many updates. Cabinet door hinges were loose in both bathrooms and kitchen. Downstairs bathroom shower floods. Light switches were a little confusing and some didn't work. Living room furniture could use a good cleaning. Unit gets very hot during the day, air conditioners only in bedrooms and they struggle to keep things cool in those rooms. Though there is a nice cross breeze in the evenings to help cool things down a little bit. We very much liked the property but wouldn't stay in this unit again until updates were made.

Communication with Kama was friendly and clear. He is so accommodating. The condo was just perfect for us and our children (12 and 14 years) with clothes washing (and drying) and really nice kitchen that was very well equipped.Comfortable living dining area with lovely patio looking onto unused golf course with native Hawaiian wader birds like plover, coot and stilt.The main bedroom bed was absolutely magnificent...size and design. Nice condo in Turtle Bay. The beach is about a 10-15min walk. It is great for playing, just ok for snorkeling. The host was easy to communicate with. We visited in summer. The air conditioning is window units and are required to be turned off when you are not there so it takes a little while for the unit to cool down. There are a lot of nice beaches in a short drive.

We’re so glad we stayed here at the condo in Turtle Bay. My girls were all wishing we could have stayed there even longer, haha. It was close to beaches and all kinds of fun things to do all along the North Shore. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, a short drive away, Waimea Falls, and of course Turtle Bay Beach and resort, plus more! Definitely recommend staying here for a great time in Oahu!

Wonderful stay! We don’t often stay in VRBO’s, but after a week on Kauai in a hotel, this apartment was just what we needed. Two spacious bathrooms, solid A/C, and access to laundry. Very comfortable stay and compliments to the owners/cleaners. They’re several little things on offer that made a big different, such as having olive oil & cooking spray, tin foil, along with ample plates/Glasses etc. This place deserves a full 5 stars. Also worth noting, the pool is only a quick 2 min walk and beach is about 15 min (we drove and parked right by beach). Book here and enjoy the awesome north shore

The condo is clean and beautiful. I can't remember another place I've stayed where everything you need is provided. The knives in the kitchen are sharp, there are plenty of pots, pans and dishes. Lots of glasses and cups and serving dishes. A good coffee maker and blender. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and amenities, including a hair dryer. The beach towels are wonderful. It is really so nice to have all this available. The check out was super easy - we took out the trash and put the dishes in the dishwasher. One of our group even reached out to the artist whose work is on the walls and bought one of his photos. A great memory.

We stayed for about two weeks. The owners were nice and helpful. The apartment itself was rundown and needs a lot of help. There was a new refrigerator, but it was too big for the space which made the microwave unusable. We ended up eating out most of the time. The bathroom was updated, but the ventilation fan did not work. It is closer to the road, so you will hear vehicles. All in all, it was a place for me and my family to sleep. My suggestion is if you can afford another space in this area do it. If not, try it out but don’t expect it to be a fancy place to stay.
