We have stayed at MKV many times and this unit was fantastic. The view is one of the best at the resort and the location is very nice and convenient. Sunsets every night from our porch or the couch or the front lawn. The unit was clean and well appointed. Fantastic kitchen with everything you need, nice appliances and a great view. Very nice bathroom with a beautiful walk-in shower. The bed very comfortable. There was an issue at check in, but it was pretty quickly resolved thanks to the staff at the resort front desk. We very much look forwards to staying in this unit again.

The room was perfect! All the amenities we needed and more. We had snorkle gear, pool noodles, boogie boards, a beach mat, plenty of spices for cooking, sugar packets, tin foil and plastic wrap, dishes and cookware. I was impressed with the dishes and cookware because many times the dishes are chipped and the cookware is peeling (teflon). Not the case here. Those details mean alot to me because it shows intent in keeping the unit up to date. Oh, I also found nail polish remover, q-tips, peroxide and a few other things under the bathroom counter. The closet has a bin with tape, batteries, a small sewing kit and other items that were very useful. The location was quiet. The lanai, for all units on this side, has a hedge that keeps it feeling pretty private. I loved watching the gecko running up and down the tree by the unit. I also like that when the sliding door is open for an extended period of time the A/C unit kicks off but kicks back on when the door is closed. That way I didn't keep having to remember to do it myself. The staff at the hotel were very nice. All except the concierge lady. She was pushy and rude when I turned down a luau. Nothing to do with our room though so that's just a side note. As far as the room, I am already looking to book again next year.

The room was as described. However the A/C could have been better. We had some light issues in the bathroom but they fixed it right away after sending an email. It is a little dated but it worked for us as we needed the 3 beds and kitchen. There was a little ocean view which was nice and the location was great. Pool and beach were just a 2 minute walk. My kids loved the free hot chocolate and ping pong in the lobby area. Parking was never an issue. Would recommend.

The stay was a bit mixed. The room was just as expected from the pictures on the website and the description given - it was clean and tidy, however there were a few issues during our stay. The air conditioner was quite noisy and unfortunately with all the previous rain Maui received, the room had cockroaches. With that said, the host was very responsive and ultimately provided reimbursement, which showed she cared about making things right. Overall the room, location on the property and customer service was fantastic. With attention to the few maintenance issues, this villa would be a fantastic place to stay.

From the privacy on the back patio (that no other unit had), the location on the property, the welcome basket for guests, to the unit accommodating items you may have forgotten. The studio villa was clean, updated and had a nice view of the garden and pool. The size was good for being a studio. However, the kitchen was missing several basic items: a measuring cup, measuring spoons, a baking sheet, and no storage containers, or Saran or aluminum foil. We didn’t expect many spices, but there was not even salt and pepper! Also, the shower drain backed up after even a short shower. A little attention to details that would make a stay more inviting might be in order.

Great view of Molokai and the evening sunset over the ocean with outside seating. Can even see the sun come up over the mountains. Definitely recommend!

Maui Kaanapali Villas was a fabulous place to stay. It is a hidden gem in Kaanapali. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly. The full kitchen's are definitely a plus for families to cook meals and have the convenience of a fridge. There is a gym that is perfect for a good workout before the beach. Everything was wonderful, we can't wait to go back.

We got what we paid for but it was a little underwhelming when it came to kitchen amenities,etc. Dont expect it to be equipped to make a gourmet dinner but a simple set of measuring spoons, a roll of plastic wrap , etc would be nice. We had an absolutely amazing stay. Unfortunately we only had a week to enjoy. The condo was spotless and was stocked with everything you would need. The bed was very comfortable as was all the furnishings. I spent every morning on the Lanai with my free coffee I got from downstairs. We spent magical evenings watching the sunset from the beach. The days were filled with snorkeling and long beach . walks.Snorkeling was amazing just a five minute walk north. I saw so many colorful fish, stingrays, turtles and to my surprise two monk seals swam right beside me. It was an incredible experience. All communication with the host Barbara was exemplary. She was very quick to respond and give great suggestions on activities and restaurants. We absolutely loved our stay and we will be back. If you want a magical experience book this vacation rental.

This was our first time staying at MKV and we would absolutely stay again! A home away from home at a great price. The owner is outstanding in communications and takes great pride to ensure ones stay is exceptional. The condo itself is well maintained and equipped to make one feel at home. The kitchen is well stocked pans-plates, spices, baggies, all necessities need for a beach picnic. The king size beds is very comfortable. Beach supplies such as chairs, snorkeling equip provided by hosts. The resort has friendly and helpful staff and a nice heated pool, in which one can exchange beach towels daily. As well as games; pingpong, shuffleboard to keep family entertained. . The host kindly allowed us a late check out at no cost given we had a later flight. Overall an amazing experience and a home away from home.

We had an amazing stay at this condo! It was clean and comfortable, thoughtfully decorated, and with by far the best-stocked kitchen we’ve ever experienced in a vacation rental property, which was a huge plus as we enjoy cooking a few meals while traveling. There were even sand toys for our littles. The view from the condo is beautiful, with gorgeous sunsets. We even saw whales from the balcony on several occasions. The property itself is beautiful, with nice pools and very easy access to the beach. The beach location is ideal - not as crowded as the part on the other side of black rock, with lots of room to spread out, yet with easy access to a variety of restaurants/shopping via a short beach walk, board walk, or trolley. What made our stay even better was Barbara - she went above and beyond sharing helpful information and providing amazing recommendations for which we are grateful, as this really simplified our planning. We are already looking forward to returning here. In fact the kids specifically said they want this exact condo next time. Barbara - thank you for sharing your amazing place!

Horrible weather and not able to cancel or change by VRBO rules. Trip insurance useless when there is extreme storm even with multiple national weather system warnings. Room flooded briefly but MKV resort staff were quick and excellent in cleanup. Maui Beach Properties was excellent in letting us leave late on our checkout day. Condo was clean and in good condition, as described.

Great place, 10 out of 10, would highly recommend. The owner was responsive and great to work with. Fully stocked, basic spices in the cabinets, basic supplies like ziplock bags, plastic wrap and aluminum foil. A knife block with actual good knives. Easy walk to the beach and main pool, with the small pool only steps away. Will most likely look at staying again in 2028.

Unit was very clean. Proximity to beach is great. Views from outdoor terrace picturesque. Beds extremely comfortable. Kitchen well-stocked. Appreciated beach chairs, etc. that were provided. Laundry facility on property is directly behind the building, so it is closeby if you need it. Carpets showing lots of wear, some deck furniture ripped in several places. Light in refrigerator didn't work from day 1. We also had ants in the kitchen and bathroom. When we contacted property management , they said 'ants are part of life on Maui despite our best efforts, and we didn't want to replace lightbulb in refrigerator because it would have taken an hour and didn't want to disturb you." Suggest placing small ant traps/bait under the sink or in some cabinets for future guests. Additionally, we had baby spiders in the second bedroom bed and on curtain in that room multiple days. There is a mousetrap under the kitchen sink, couldn't hurt to add additional preventative measures for other insects/pests.Thank you!

I think the statement of “totally remodeled” is stretching things. It was clean and comfortable but certainly not “new”. Missed a balcony that could be sat on. This was more of a “French balcony”. Could not get the TV remote to work despite buying new batteries. Kitchen was well equipped and suited our needs, but need more then 2 teaspoons.

We loved our stay in The Little Grass Shack. The cleanliness, decor, , welcome basket, and communications with Jeanne were perfect. So many little details that were unexpected and made our stay feel special.
