Wonderful vacation for a family of four with two small children. Clean, comfortable, great communication, easy check in process. The lawn area right outside the back porch is ideal for lounging with ocean views while the kids run around. Nice beach just a short walk away and a little further away is Lydgate beach which is perfect for children as there are rock enclosed calm waters and a park with playsets. We would love to return!

The view was fantastic and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The furniture in the living space was not very comfortable and unfortunately we were there during the 2 weeks of of the Kona Low storm so we spent more time indoors than anticipated. There were a couple glitches in the kitchen, a missing knob that made it hard to open a cupboard door, and outlets that didn't work, but that was taken care of toot-sweet. I do feel that when spending almost two weeks in the unit, a one time linen/towel exchange would have been included. Also, we had stayed at Kaha Lani in November and were not aware that this unit was run by a different company so there was no beach towel exchange. Just an FYI for anyone who might be returning to the property but trying out a different unit.

Location, location, location! A quick 10 min drive from the airport, and the unit overlooks the ocean. A walking trail takes you to a lifeguarded beach, and a nearby hotel offers a luau and outdoor restaurant. Other shopping, restaurants are a short drive. The unit is a bit dated and neglected, especially the BRs and bathrooms. Newer kitchen cabinets and appliances were nice, and the cooking supplies and dishes were good. The pool and outdoor common areas were very nice—well-manicured and beautiful. We were told this unit was on the market for sale so I suspect a new owner with a little investment could make this unit a real jewel.

Peaceful perfection! This was a spectacular experience from start to finish! The condo is lovely, the view from the Lanai is unbelievably beautiful (gorgeous sunrises) and the walking path is right out of your door. Plus, more often than not, we had the heated pool to ourselves. Lydgate Beach is only a hop, skip and a jump away!We cannot say enough about our hosts - they were responsive, accommodating, thoughtful and very kind - we would give them more stars if we could! Communication was fabulous from start to finish. The condo is simply lovely, well appointed and has absolutely everything you might need for your stay. From binoculars for whale watching off of the lanai and fresh flowers on the table, to every possible kitchen gadget/dish/pan, an ice-maker in the freezer, tissues, TP, shampoo/conditioner, laundry soap, bath soap, fans, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, beach bags, coolers, snorkels/masks/fins, boogie boards, beach towels, sand towels...simply everything you can think of!On a side note, our flight to Kauai was due in late and Terry & Allen were so kind as to leave us coffee, fresh fruit, and a coffee cake for breakfast. Unbeknownst to us, Kauai was experiencing some unusually stormy weather and in anticipation they had everything we might need should there be issues - flashlights, batteries, a weather radio, etc. Thankfully, we didn't need any of these items, but they had the foresight and kindness to make sure we were prepared, nonetheless.

The unit was very clean although the kitchen cupboard shelf liners would leave some ‘lava’ dust on your fingers if you touched them. This was to be expected with the 24/7 breeze blowing through you are going to have dust/dirt. We also thought from photos that we would have a clearer/direct view of the ocean when we were behind the end unit with the direct view but it was still a really great unit.

What an amazing place to stay! This place had literally everything you could possibly need (except for A/C of course). I did buy a tower fan as soon as I landed in Kauai, for the condo, and I’m glad I did. This place had all the kitchen appliances you could need, so we ended up cooking most of our meals and prepping lunches for the day. I would recommend bringing a power strip too, there weren’t many easily accessible outlets (nothing to stress over though). Honestly, if you’re okay without having A/C, I would highly recommend staying here. My girlfriend and I loved it.

This condo is the closest to the beach! Ground floor with 2 lanais. A bit aged, 1975, and the back of the house needing updating..it just went on the market when we arrived..may have sold. Full kitchen and utensils, but no condiments. Only 1 hand soap in baths. Comfortable and clean overall.Extremely good customer service from Kauai Vacation Rental reps by phone and texts! Hard to say if it is neglect on the part of the owner or poor management by Garden Island Property Management Location was great, but unit was not clean and very dated.Unit wasn't cleaned when we arrived very late on our scheduled check in day - it was forgotten about by the property management agency. They did try to come first thing the next morning after we contacted them to clean it and gave us a small refund as well as complimentary mid week clean - which I would highly recommend NEVER paying for - all it is is them dropping off clean towels they never did replace the dirty sponge that was left from the previous occupants that we were supposed to use to wash dishes - who knows how old that was We could not use our lanai due to the amount of chicken poo on it and it was not cleaned up until we complained about that mess we stayed at this unit for 10 days and it would have never been cleaned if we had not said anything. The owners need to take some interest in this property - it is so dirty the hide away bed has not been cleaned under in I don't know how long there is so much filth in between the cushions I wouldn't want to sleep on it. The electrical plug in the bedroom is dangerous - it shocked me when I tried to plug a cord in and there are spider webs and fly poop all over the walls. The unit needs some TLC and upgrades - NOT WORTH THE MONEY
