We were very pleased with our stay at the lovely and peaceful Mele Moana. The kitchen had everything you could want to prepare meals and we especially appreciated the availability of beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. The location is within walking distance of the beautiful Poipu Beach where we saw sea turtles and seals. We would defiantly stay there again.

The condo is in a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean. We loved spending time on the balcony in the mornings. Plenty of relaxing space for the two of us with a great kitchen to cook the few meals that we made onsite. Location is awesome for getting to beaches and other desirable spots by car. It’s walkable to beaches but I wouldn’t recommend carrying chairs etc that far.

We love staying at Sunset! The location is perfect for us! Ocean breezes, beautiful views and we love to walk to Poipu beach every morning to see the turtles and Seals. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking! We were not sure if the room temperature would be an issue without A/C, but between the ocean breeze and the fans, the room stays very pleasant. (But we don't spend a ton of time in the room, with so much to do on Kauai!) This is our 4th stay at Sunset Kahii and we will be back!

We love the location and the condo itself. When coming to Kauai we prefer to stay here. It feels homey and comfortable, and always has some things already stocked in the kitchen! Literally a home away from home. Everything provided, perfect apartment and very nice view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets.My wife and I have been to Poipu 4 times, first time in Sunset Kahili, a very good experience.The entire complex is well maintained and clean. We had one neighbor doing some tile work for a few days, but nothing that would ruin our days.The entire complex is very sensitive to noise, so you have to talk quietly. A normal conversation or tv sound can be heard all over. We had a day with loud neighbors but it was taken care of by the complex manager immediately.All in all, a very nice week.

Sunny South Shore! 5th Floor, full ocean view! Close to Poipu Beach. Six-minute drive to the Kukui’ula shops and eight minutes to Sueoka Market and Old Koloa Town. Easy day trips to Waimea Canyon and Hanalei Bay.Older building, but the unit’s kitchen, bathroom and flooring have all been nicely updated. It’s clean, well equipped and quiet. The pool appears to be well maintained. The designated parking space and elevator were a plus. Shout out to Kauai Vacation Rentals management for providing great service.

Our vacation rental was in a great location! The rental is not as portrayed in the pictures. The furniture is worn and dated. The orange chairs felt sticky and and had a slight distasteful odor. The cushions on the lanai were falling apart. All of the windows and louvers were moldy and dirty.The kitchen was clean and well stocked but the dishwasher smelled old. The refrigerator was clean. Overall for the price, I would rate it a three.

The pics do not do justice for this beautiful space! I was expecting half the size. It has all the elements needed for a perfect vacation! The fan over the king size bed made for perfect sleeping! The lanai was perfect for wave watching near and far. I even saw whale spouts one afternoon. Restaurants and swimming beach just down the hill. Koloa village has the best juice bar. Recently switched to plant based eating and it had the best salads/meals in jars!! The pool at Sunset Kahili is perfect! I really think this is the most perfect spot to either stay all day or to use as base camp. We will definitely be back!!

The location is great. Spectacular view up the coast and of sunsets. Saw turtles almost every time we took the short walk to Brennecke’s Beach Broiler (recommended). Condo is a little dated but get over that quickly and feel like you live in Kauai. Spent the second half of our trip at the Grand Hyatt but honestly preferred Sunset Kahili.

I feel so lucky to have found this property! A nicely updated unit with all the relaxing Aloha vibes. As promised, the view from the lanai was beautiful—especially at sunset. The peace and quiet was a welcome respite after the chaos of the wedding weekend my friend and I were in town for.

Property manager sent arrival instructions to junk mailbox, so we expecting an on-site manager to give us key. We were lucky to speak to someone who helped resend the key code. However had we arrived an hour later than we did, we would have been sleeping in the car. Other phone calls and emails about departure were unanswered. The view from balcony at sunset is wonderful.

This property is super cute. Nicely decorated and a lovely view. The front door was missing a privacy blind so we had to hang a towel over it so no one could see in. The only negative is that this unit is in a very old building and the common areas are somewhat dingy looking compared to the standard of the unit

Nice place, great location, stairs and elevator. If you like a “super soft” bed you’ll love the master bed. Way too soft for me but my wife liked it. The pillows were all too thick for me as well but I made it work and enjoyed the stay. Great view of the ocean and we saw whales on our last morning. One of the ceiling fans didn’t work and there were small bugs on the counter in the mornings. Even after they came unannounced to spray for bugs. All and all it worked out and we would stay there again.

We love Sunset Kahili, and will continue to return as often as we can! The Poipu area is wonderful. The view from our lanai provides not only variety, with the changing skies and beautiful sunsets, but also a sense of relaxation. The sound of the ocean adds to that sense of relaxation, Top that off with the musical score provided by tropical birds in the treetops outside the kitchen window, and you have a tropical paradise even if you never left the condo. From Sunset Kahili, one can easily walk to Poipu Beach. Each time we did, there were Green Hawaiian Sea Turtles, and endangered Monk Seals naturally basking on the sandy beach, where volunteers helped them remain undisturbed. Walking the other direction, one can walk along a rocky shore to Shipwreck Beach. On each walk, we found ever-changing beautiful scenes.

The location of this condo is perfect for seeing the whole island and is close to great beaches. Watching whales breaching, dolphins spinning and turtles swimming right off the deck was fabulous! Denise was incredibly responsive to all our questions and the place was in great shape. When we come back this will be the place we’ll stay!

This property, our stay & the island of Kauai met & exceeded our expectation. The view & the sound of the waves were so relaxing. Sunsets beautiful. The location was steps from the beach, a lovely park & snacks. The condo itself included everything possible to imagine. All in all a perfect week/end. Only regret is we didn’t plan a longer stay. I have gone to most islands in Hawaii over the last 30yrs and stayed in beautiful nice condos. We stayed 3 weeks and Sunset Kahili 303 is not one of them. It is a very dated property with numerous problems, i.e. there was no AC. Half the window gears were stripped out so you couldn't open the windows. When you shut the windows, when it rained, water still came in on the floor about 2 feet. When raining sliding door to lanai let water pass straight through seals around it. In the kitchen, the cofee pot had rust all over it where it didn't appear clean to make cofee. Knife block had serrated knife with rust all over it with grease from previous tenant still on blade. We immediately washed all plates and utensils as nothing appeared clean. I understand water saving shower heads, but, water emitting shower heads shouldn't be an issue. The shower head was so old and obstructed that 5 minutes to get shampoo out of your hair wasn't unusual. My girlfriend said she never felt like shompoo was ever actually gone. Going on isn't useful, just give this condo a pass if you are looking for a pleasant Hawaiian vacation

This location was amazing. It’s within easy walking distance of Poipu Beach. We walked to the beach frequently to watch the sunset and even went back later on the night to watch the turtles come up to shore for the night! The bed was comfortable and could be separated from the family room by a sliding screen. The unit was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and the beach including a couple of snorkel masks and fins, shoes for water and boogie boards, to name a few. Had a great time here.
