This is the second time we have stayed here (Orchid unit) and we have enjoyed it. There is lots of space for two people, the unit is well-equipped. The fans keep the space cool.

Loved the location, the view off the balcony, hearing the ocean, sunsets, and an easy walk to the beach to see the sea turtles and sea lions resting on the beach. Amenities were perfect. Nice breeze always through the unit.

I really didn't care for this unit and complex in general. I was very uncomfortable with all the mirrors throughout the condo. Way too much. The wicker made chairs were terrible also. The most uncomfortable space was out on the Lanai, where the neighbors lanai was only about 5 feet away and it's like i had no privacy, nor did they. I was constantly worried about the TV being too loud also. Just a very weird place, in my opinion. Never again!!

We really loved staying at this condo. The views were even better than expected. Although the weather didn't entirely cooperate, I'm sure the sunsets would have been awesome. You could easily see whales out in ocean and we witnessed some breaching. It was even better looking through the binoculars provided. The condo was well appointed with everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. The beaches are an easy walk down although be prepared for a bit of an uphill climb back. For the most part it was a quiet area although two nights there were some guests that didn't appear to get the memo but overall a really lovely place to stay.

The view, and closeness to beach. I love the place, my mistake I didn’t see there was not an air conditioner, but it was still worth the rental. Only downside was the furniture is out dated, and not very comfortable. My wife did complain the mattress had indentations in the mattress that made her uncomfortable, I enjoyed the bed. I didn’t sleep on her side.

Thank you, again, Maureen, for a wonderful stay! Condo was perfect for the two of us. Beautiful view from lanai, great amenities (especially the in-unit washer & dryer), a short walk to sandy beach and bar / food, good staging area for all the activities we enjoyed. Glad we were here this time of year, though, and didn't need the available AC --- having the windows open for the breeze and being able to hear the ocean was much better. Would definitely book again on our next trip to Kauai!

Nice ocean view condo near Poipu beach. Most of what you need for the beach is included. This is clear in the listing, but make sure you're ok without A/C if you stay here. We underestimated the heat and were quite hot in the evenings.

My wife and I had a great stay here. The location was perfect; it’s a short walk to the beach and a few restaurants and bars. Overall our stay was nice. The location is great for the beaches and nearby shopping etc etc. The only issue that wasn’t completely clear was the cooling of the condo. The listing does indicate there is AC. However, the unit is located in the bedroom, and only sufficient for cooling the bedroom, if the windows and doors are kept shut. It cannot cool the entire condo. The cross-breeze through the condo was great most of the time, but if you are someone who prefers to have a cool place to relax, you may want to book something with central AC if at all possible. Otherwise the condo stays quite warm, even into the evening, despite having all windows/doors open to allow for the breeze. That being said, I realize very few places have central AC, but it is something that seemed fair to let people know so they are not taken off guardOtherwise, it is furnished comfortably, the kitchen had everything we needed and it was nice having such a close drive to the beaches and old Kōloa town. Also, the unit has all the beach chairs, umbrellas and even snorkeling gear you could possibly need for a nice Hawaiian vacation. Overall we had a positive stay

Great location and close to Poipu. Tremendous view of the ocean. Parking was easy. The building itself is dated, but has a nice pool. Check in was ok, it was slightly annoying to have to pick up a key at the rental office beforehand, whereas most other properties have digital locks to get in. The only disappointment was the cleanliness of the kitchen items - we had to wash every cup, bowl/plate, pot, and utensil before we could use it. The shower head also needed a good scrubbing. Still a good space though.

Great location easy walk to Poipu beach. We choose not to cook but the House is nicely stocked if you wanted to. Really nice to have the air conditioning. Maureen is very communicative and she really wants her guest to have a great experience.

Everything was top notch with this condo. Sunset views were fantastic. If I had to say anything negative, it would be there was no air conditioning. We had one night it was a little stuffy in the condo because of a hurricane blowing to the north a ways off, which made the wind shift instead of blowing in and keeping the condo cool, but that is Mother Nature's fault...not the Owner's. It was a pleasure staying there!

The VRBO description of this property is good. The owner has intentionally not updated the place to the 2000's - It looks similar to how it probably looked when this vintage condo was built. If you want modern, be prepared to pay considerably more somewhere else. If you want wonderful ocean views, sleeping to the sound of waves at night instead of a droning air conditioner, and a perfect location for your Kauai holiday - this is it! The owner is very responsive should there be any problems. She has provided beach chairs, towels, ice chest, pool noodles, etc. - everything you could possibly need. And if you do any cooking or bring home leftovers, there are plenty of utensils and storage containers too.
