We chose this location after a late change of vacation plans. This older building is set back from the ocean but the views are stunning. 507 is protected from the breeze and has wonderful shady mornings. The breaking waves are clearly visible and audible but not so much as to disturb. Be gentle getting into the parking lot. The pool was quiet but regularly maintained and a very pleasant cool off spot. There is a common room with puzzles and books. 507
was also well equipped with games and Island guides. We had easy walks to trails and 10 mins to Poip’u beach park which was safe, shady, excellent snorkeling and seals and turtles as daily visitors. Close by there are grocery stores in Koloa Old town and an abundence of restaurants within a five to ten minute drive.
Denise was very prompt with her communication and dealt with any concerns quickly and appropriately.

Beautiful condo!! The condo was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal. The view of the ocean and sunsets were amazing. There is a great cross breeze and Denise was super responsive and friendly.

The condo was perfect for our stay in Kauai. The balcony was my favorite part. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking breakfast each morning. It was nice to have laundry in the room as well. There are several books on Kauai in the room which were helpful in deciding which activities we wanted to do.
A few things that might be helpful. It was very hot. Yes we stayed at the end of august. The problem was the fans could not be turned to high because they were very loud.
The other issue was the beach chairs they supply. We carried them all the way to the beach to find out one was broken. We appreciate that there was a cooler but it didn’t have a handle. We could still use it but it was awkward to hold.
When doing laundry the washing machine backs up into the shower. It really stunk bad. I notified the owner and she was going to check this situation out the next time they visited.
Other than the fans, the chairs, the cooler and the washing machine, the place was still amazing. We saw turtles in the surf every day from the balcony. Poipu was within walking distance and so convenient.
One last thing is to be careful driving into the parking lot. We scoffed the underside of the rental car on our way in the first night. We didn’t see that there was an enormous hump!! You need to take it on an angle if you have a regular car. An SUV would’ve been the better choice to stay here.

We've visited many times over the last 35 years, but this was our first stay at Sunset Kahili. 507 was an absolute dream and an amazing place to stay to celebrate our 15-year-anniversary and to enjoy the very many things we love about Kauai! Denise and Gary have a gift of a place and have done a lovely job of setting up the condo to be very comfortable and a perfect home away from home. It was very difficult to leave after 9 nights but we most definitely hope to return again someday. Aloha and mahalo nui loa!

On a few mornings we shared our coffee on the lanai with spinner dolphins right out in front of us, so close , honestly 100 yards out, and dozens of them! so incredible, wasn’t expecting that. Poipu beach is a 5 min walk, saw monk seals there daily. This was our first time to Kauai and this was truly a perfect place to start from.

We had a great time at this condo. It was located within a 10 minute walk to the beach with turtle coves along the way. The view was panoramic and we were able to watch whales, turtles and dolphins from the lanai. Everything we needed to cook meals was available in the kitchen and having the washer/dryer in the unit was a blessing! We would definitely stay at Denise's condo again. The decor was beachy and furnishings very comfortable.

What a wonderful time I had! I was in Kauai for a family wedding. I walked everyday to be at the venue and hang with family. There are several beautiful beaches. The monk seals, sea turtles, and whales were so cool to watch.The ocean view and sleeping to the sound of the crashing waves was amazing!!

Decided to replace door so we had to deal with broken lock whole 11 days. Only thing I was unhappy about was I didn’t realize lanai overlooked the parking lot. Beautiful view if you didn’t look down.

The view is amazing and we loved hearing the waves crash the rocks while we slept. You can see up the coast while sitting on the balcony and for us the location was great since we were in Kauai for a wedding so we were near many other guests within walking distance.

Denise has created a wonderful condo for guests to enjoy, and we would highly recommend this place. The views from the top floor condo are arguably the best in Poipu, as you can see all the way along the coast and enjoy beautiful sunsets from the lanai. The condo was well stocked, and we made good use of the coolers while out exploring the island. We hope to return in the future! Mahalo!

I have stayed at many VRBO units and it is apparent to me there are two types of hosts, some that take as much as they can get from you to finance their vacation home, while a few sincerely seem to attempt to make your stay comfortable. Denise certainly fits the latter category. The property is lovely, the people are very nice and the unit is supplied with all the things one would need to spend a week there. Furniture is comfortable and beautiful too. Thank you for going the extra mile Denise!

We were fortunate to spend 2 weeks at Sunset Kahili and it was idyllic. The views from the lanai and the sounds of the surf were amazing.
The condo is comfy, the bed sleeps great, and the kitchen is nicely outfitted. All the comforts of home but in paradise. Denise was on-the-spot with responding to my texts.
The condo is within easy walking distance to Poipu Beach and we loved our morning walks there to see the sea turtles & monk seals.
Poipu was a great homebase for our visit although we traveled all over the island to see the sights. At day’s end, nothing could beat the breath-taking sunsets from our lanai at Sunset Kahili!

Denise made communication easy. The condo is homey and clean. Loved listening to the ocean at night with the windows open. Sunsets were amazing. The location is great. We walked on the Heritage Trail each morning along the ocean and walked to dinner each night. Complete kitchen if you like to cook at home. We could watch turtles swimming and a Hawaiian seal sleeping on Poipu Beach at the end of the block.

Our first day started with spotting whale spouts from the condo balcony. We were really pleased. The condo is very well-equipped and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was always great. We were close to the beach for snorkeling and sunning. We had wonderful weather, with only one morning of rain. Poi-Pu was a perfect location on the island, with easy access to many popular places of interest. Denise, our host, responded promptly to any questions . It was a wonderful week.
