This is an amazing condo with a lovely location in Poipu. The kitchen had plenty of amenities. Quiet and relaxing condo property. We enjoyed sleeping to the sounds of waves with all windows & doors open for fresh air. The trade winds helped cool the condo which has no A/C. The property manager & Kauai Vacation Rentals were available for questions. Mahalo

501 offers a breathtaking view along with swaying palm trees and the sound and sights of crashing waves right below our Lana'i. The decor and amenities were lovely. The kitchen offered nice dishes and cooking ware. My 2 adult daughters & I have stayed at Sunset Kahili before and love the location. Kauai Vacation Rentals were great to work with.

I’m afraid to write too many nice things about this condo and then it won’t be affordable next time I visit Kauai. But the location is spectacular. The condo is clean and decorated so nicely. The complex is quiet and clean. I’ll only ever want to stay here every trip to Kauai.

We do love coming back to 501. The view is wonderful. We were disappointed that new ownership did not replace the screen doors. The tv stand is too bulky for the room. Shutters would have been a nice improvement.With such a large increase in rent, we would have expected new furniture. We still love the Kahili & 501, & will return again, but maybe not stay as long.

Rainbows galore. Great response to service needed to figure out how to use the TV. Clean rooms. Large deck is terrific. Weather was so windy that whale spouts were very hard to see. But best weather in the island is on this side of the island.

Once more we returned to Kauai, Poipu, and the Sunset Kahili. We have been doing so since before Iniki. Some things have changed, but the view, the ocean and the shore line remains the same. It was good to be back where it was warm, even though it did rain. Kauai never disappoints.

This is the best view on the island. Crashing waves, great sunset and panoramic views of the Pacific. Very peaceful with one caveat. There is a property manager there who obviously doesn't want renters. Most people own there. He gave us a hard time twice and I reported it to Kauai Vacation Rentals. They called me and I thought they were going to apologize but instead informed us we were getting fined for parking in the loading zone! They never read my email which told them ahead of time that friends had come to pick us up for dinner and they parked there for literally two minutes before this manager was banging on the door and threatening to have it towed. I thought KVR's was calling me to offer compensation and an apology. They should have just blown him off. I would still highly recommend this place and maybe you will not experience a problem there with him. But KVR did disappoint an otherwise lovely time.

We loved our vacation time in Sunset Kahili 501. Being an end unit on the top floor, the views and sounds of the ocean were amazing - beautiful, relaxing, and ever-changing. Every single day we could look down from our living room window, lanai, or steps and see Green Sea Turtles swimming near the shore. The unit was beautiful inside, with comfortable furnishings and a very handy full-sized washer and dryer tastefully tucked into a cabinet and closet. Very nice beach chairs, books, and games were available for our use. Kauai Vacation Rentals was so welcoming with a reusable tote which included yummy treats and a small cooler to use throughout our trip and beyond. Kauai Vacation rentals also worked hard to accommodate our needs. We were very pleased with their professional manner. We definitely hope to stay in 501 again!

We spent 2 weeks on Kauai in Sunset Kahili 501 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Being on the top floor and end unit we enjoyed sunrises from the east, almost 180 degrees of ocean view and sunsets in the west. Being on the top floor also ensured privacy. The unit was well furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a rice cooker. Also supplied was a beach umbrella, snorkeling equipment and beach chairs. The pool was deliciously warm. We fell asleep each night to the ocean surf. A wonderful stay.

Our expectations were met since we've stayed at the this condo several times. We love the view. The sliding doors are a safety hazard and need replacing (the screens fell out of the track multiple times!). The master ceiling fan also needs replacing as it's a necessity without A/C. Property should supply more supplies like TP and garbage bags depending on length of stay. Property rules are too rigid and make you feel like you're staying in a retirement facility (pool hours 9-8!).

We were so grateful that we were able to make our annual return to 501. Despite there being new covid 19 virus related rules, we were able to come to Kauai. The unit had been prepared to be virus clean, and we appreociated that. We missed our friends who could not make it from the mainland, but the locals were so friendly, helpful and caring, they helped make up for those missing. We enjoyed our rest, but look forward to returning again, when more can enjoy the Aloha spirit of the Kahili and Kauai !!

We have been coming to 501 for several decades. We love the view, the amenities, location and the familiarity of everything. The weather this trip was perfect. Poipu and Koloa have so many great places to visit. Even though some places couldn't be open at normal hours, due to the effects of the pandemic, everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

We love Sunset Kahili and working with Kauai Vacation Rental has always been positive! 501 is looking a little worn though— same furniture, towels, beach chairs for a number of years. Maybe when things pick up a little more, there will be funds to replace worn furniture.

This was our 5th stay at the unit. Absolutely the best views of Kaui's south shore. Fantastic sunsets every night. As an end unit, it enjoys unobstructed views from every room. Great breezes from the trade winds. The unit was recently remodeled and is very attractive and comfortable. Modern kitchen and bathrooms.As always, impeccably clean.It is just a short walk to Poipu Beach (great for swimming and snorkeling) and local shops and restaurants.We love this place and can't recommend it highly enough.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at this condo, the best one in the building! Very comfortable and looks recently updated. Easily accessible with an elevator and carts to carry your luggage. It's a bit far to walk to beach with accessories, so we drove and found parking easily at Poipu Beach.

Left a review on the form provided with the checkout packet, on the kitchen counter. But ...Would like to recommend better cleaning in the smaller second bedroom. Bathroom and bedroom door panels, moldings, and walls behind the door had dirty finger smudges. A careful eye to clean these areas would be appreciated. Also, could not access the closet in 2nd bedroom d/t clutter/outdoor gear in closet. It's a very small room & would have been nice to access closet to store belongings. Appreciated the updated kitchen, counters, appliances, and flooring. Comfortable beds. Kitchen fairly well stocked in exception to a medium sized saucepan and larger soup pot (dutch oven). Could have used these items. We didn't use the dishwasher as we didn't seem have enough dishes. Wished for a dish pan and dish strainer for counter. The door key did not disengage well from the door lock. Frustrating. Lock seemed to be rusted or corroded? Could have used a better reading lamp in the living area (only 1 lamp bright enough to read by). But we loved the SK setting and the spectacular views of the ocean, coastal beaches and sunsets. The pool area was very clean and provided welcome refreshment every hot afternoon. Kauai restaurants, music, cultural events have not fully opened up yet as a result of the pandemic 2020-21 but we enjoyed many walks and hikes in the Poi Pu area and Waimea Canyon. Dinner at The Beach House was very special though limited menu as they have only been open a few weeks. We understand it may take a while to recover in the community! ONWARD.

We stay at room 501 and the room is amazing, ocean view and saw whale in the first day in the morning while husband is making coffee. Few minutes walk to the beach and shopping centre. Lot’s of beautiful place nearby to explore that surprise us and definitely we would like to come back again here in Poipu and highly recommend this place. Lastly, picking and dropping off the key is very easy and management is very understandable.

Lovely end unit directly facing the ocean! Well kept and had all the amenities just like being at home. Enjoyed morning meals on the lanai watching the turtles 🐢 pop up here and there in the shore line. Enjoyed watching the sunset with the perfect view and nothing blocking the line of sight. The unit has stunning ocean view and sunsets and moonlighting, it doesn’t get better. It rained almost daily but only for a few n stopped n sun was shining again. It was hot n humid but this unit has lots of wind if you open windowing door. No AC but wasn’t needed. Perfect cooking facility n it provided everything, well equipped. Walking distance to restaurants and Poipu beach which was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. It was quiet and safe. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property with my family.

While the view was beautiful, the was no AC. It was VERY hot. Sleeping with the windows open let in the ocean breeze, but the ocean crashed up against the shore and sounded somewhat like fireworks. It was very loud. They had ceiling fans, but the only strong one is in the kitchen area. They provide 2 pedestal fans, but one was broken. Also, be sure to bring body wash, shampoo & conditioner, and coffee. They don't provide that for you.

We absolutely loved our unit. It was on the top floor corner overlooking the ocean. The huge deck with tables and chairs was the perfect place for morning coffee. AND the deck/living room faces directly west, so a gorgeous sunset every night. We will absolutely come back to this unit. We came with our 2 grand kids (18 and 15) and the twin beds in the bedroom was perfect for them. No view but they I my slept there. The views from the living room and master bedroom were stunning.. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. Even EVOO. I’d rate this 6 stars out of 5!

You absolutely can’t beat the view from this unit! It was super clean and fully stocked with everything you would need in the updated kitchen. The washer/dryer was so nice to have as well. The location was also great. It was only about a 5 minute walk to get to both Brennecke & Poipu beaches and about a 15-20 minute walk to the get to a local shopping center with coffee, restaurants and a small market. We will definitely stay here again. Can’t wait to get back!
